CEO and cofounder David Liu has been instrumental in
making The Knot a true Internet success story, and a thriving global life
events media and services company. With his business acumen and solid vision,
David helped secure three rounds of financing for the company, totaling more
than $20 million. In early December 1999, he helped The Knot raise over $35
million in its initial public offering. Under David's direction, the company
grew from six to more than 200 employees in less than three years. The Knot has
been recognized as an innovative, fast-growing company by Fortune, Forbes,
Upside, Entrepreneur, CNBC, CNN, Deloitte & Touche, Harvard
Business School, and Columbia Business School. Prior to launching The Knot, Liu
cultivated his keen entrepreneurial skills through a successful career in
digital media production and management at his previous company, RunTime Inc.,
where he spearheaded the production of award-winning media products for clients
including Viacom, The Smithsonian, Intel, and AT&T. Liu received a B.F.A. from
New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Institute of Film and Television. |

Carley is editor in chief and cofounder of The Knot and
author of The Knot Complete Guide to Weddings in the Real World (Broadway
Books, 1998), The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner (1999), The Knot Guide
to Vows and Traditions (2000), The Knot Book of Wedding Gowns (Chronicle,
2002) and The Knot Book of Wedding Flowers (Chronicle, 2003). After the
nightmare of planning her own wedding, she and her husband David Liu, along
with two friends, launched The Knot to offer stylish ideas, up-to-date advice,
and much-needed relief to today's brides and grooms. Building on her years of
media experience in magazine publishing and new media, Roney has successfully
established The Knot as the #1 brand in weddings. As an expert on real-world
weddings, Roney has spoken at many bridal industry events and frequently
appears on national television shows including OPRAH, ABC's The View,
NBC's TODAY Show, and CBS's The EARLY Show, offering her latest
tips on everything from wedding fashion to dealing with in-laws. She is also a
regular contributor to leading publications such as The New York Times,
The Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Glamour, Vogue,
Elle, and Self. Her popular advice column "Ask Carley" is
syndicated by the Scripps Howard News Service to more than 70 newspapers
nationwide. Prior to founding The Knot, Roney was the President of RunTime
Inc., where she produced award-winning media products for The Smithsonian and
Sotheby's. Previous to RunTime, she was creative director and editor for
clients such as the National Museum of American History, The McGraw-Hill
Companies, and Simon & Schuster. Roney holds a M.A. in Cultural Studies from
New York University and a B.F.A. from New York University Tisch School of the
Arts, Institute of Film and Television. |

| Sandy has been chief operating officer of The Knot since
November 1998 and assistant secretary since September 1999. Her career in
business and finance began at Arthur Andersen & Co. From there, she went on to
become the vice president, comptroller, and treasurer of the U.S. branch of
Bertelsmann Inc., one of the world's largest media companies. At Bertelsmann,
Sandy was instrumental in the acquisition of RCA Entertainment and Doubleday
Books. She then served as president of OmniCorp Holdings, Inc., the American
arm of a private European investment company. After her work at OmniCorp, she
spent eight years at Random House, Inc., first as a vice president and
corporate comptroller, then as a senior vice president and director of
operations for the Children's and Value Publishing divisions. Sandy has served
on the boards of Living Books, a division of Random House, Knowledge Adventure,
and Humongous Entertainment, and she holds a B.S. in Accounting from New York
University. |

| Richard is chief financial officer of The Knot and a
member of the Board of Directors. Having joined the company in June 1999, he is
responsible for all financial aspects of The Knot. His long and distinctive
business career started at the international auditing and consulting firm of
Arthur Andersen & Co., where he eventually served as a partner in the audit
practice division. While there, he developed a long-range strategic plan for
the worldwide Accounting and Audit Practice. Rich then spent eight years as
executive vice president and chief financial officer of Random House, the
world's largest English-language general trade book publisher. While there, he
managed a staff of more than 200 across several departments, including
accounting, finance, budgeting and planning, and legal, and oversaw a budget of
over $20 million. He was graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the
University of Pennsylvania. |

As CTO of The Knot Armando oversees new applications and technology development initiatives and directs the technical integration of newly acquired businesses for the company's growing stable of media and services properties. Armando's experience spans many industries and platforms, enabling him to provide strong leadership for a team of technology experts in web-based application development, networking, security, and systems engineering. During the last five years, Armando has been the chief technology officer for start-up companies including gourmet retailer Dean-Deluca.com and DevX.com. In addition, he has held senior IT management positions at world-class companies including Charles Schwab, SBC Communications, and Wells Fargo Bank. He holds a B.S. in Computer Sciences with a minor in Mathematics from El Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.

| Rob is vice president of business integration and one of
four original cofounders of The Knot. He brings over eight years of experience
in the advertising industry. In 1994, he cofounded the Digital Media division
of Margeotes Fertitta + Partners, where he was responsible for advertising and
producing award-winning websites for companies including Stolichnaya Vodka and
Sotheby's. Prior to establishing this division, Rob produced television
commercials for clients such as CBS, General Foods, and New York Newsday. He
holds a B.F.A. from New York University Tisch School of The Arts, Institute of
Film and Television. |
