Wedding Weekend

Our love story began one January night at a party in college. Christina was a freshman and Ryan was a Sophomore. Christina wasn’t planning on going out that night; but as fate would have it, they got introduced to each other and started talking at the party. Ryan said a very funny “new years resolution” to Christina as his pick up line and Christina loved how light-hearted and sweet he was from the start. Christina and Ryan connected instantly. That night was the first of forever. Although they spent every day together, they didn’t officially start dating until April, which in typical Ryan and Christina fashion; they “officially” decided to date on April 1st. They went on hiking dates, ate more ice cream than they should, canoed, did about every mini golf course in PA and NJ, and a-lot more in between. The first time Christina visited Ryan’s house, they went for a bike ride on Sunday. Christina was supposed to leave later that day, but Ryan said “let’s just ride really far so then my mom will have to pick us up and then you can’t go home.” They later rode a total of 20 miles and the plan did in fact work. Fast forward to 2018 and Christina and Ryan moved into their first apartment together in New Jersey. Later that year, they brought home their whole world, their fur baby, a golden retriever, who they named Pancake. In August, 2020 they decided that they wanted to live life by the beach so they made the move to Charleston, SC. Every weekend is spent laying in the sun at the beach while Pancake digs and rolls in the sand.

In September 2022, Ryan surprised Christina with a trip to Key West, Florida to swim with dolphins (one of the things Christina has always wanted to do). On the first night, Ryan planned a trip to Fort Zachary Taylor beach where the sunsets are amazing! Christina and Ryan walked out onto the beach and there was a sailboat sailing in the sunset horizon; so picture perfect. Christina snapped a picture, and the sailboat was not appearing in the photo like she wanted and said “it always looks so much better in real life than a picture.” Ryan called her name and as Christina turned around, Ryan was on one knee with the most beautiful ring, held in a box engraved with their names, the year they met, and lilies; Christina’s favorite flower. Time stood still and a secret photographer captured all of the blissful moments. From that weekend on, there’s been celebration and enjoyment and the beginning of the next chapter in their story! Christina and Ryan can’t wait to begin the next chapter by celebrating with you all on their wedding day!

Stroll down Rainbow Row and see this picturesque spot. Then, stop by the famous Pineapple Fountain down the road at Waterfront Park

King Street is the main go-to spot in Downtown Charleston! It has all the best bars, restaurants, night clubs, dessert spots, and shopping all within walking distance. The Hyatt Hotel, which we have a room block at, is located right on King Street making it the perfect location! (Hyatt has a rooftop taproom and restaurant located inside)

Bars Downtown

Charleston has a ton of breweries all over whether it’s Downtown, West Ashley, or Mount Pleasant. We frequent The Garden by Charles Towne Fermentory, Hobcaw, The Whale, Low Tide, Estuary Barley and Beans, and Snafu

Breweries

Charleston restaurants fill up quick! Reservations are needed and we suggest making them in advance. We recommend Le Farfelle, Melfi’s, Indaco, 82 Queen, Laurel, and Slightly North of Broad for Downtown. Outside of Downtown, we recommend Wild Olive, Swig and Swine, Boxcar Betty’s, Tattooed Moose, and Fam’s Brewing Co.
