A short time ago, in a cafeteria not far away. There was a young man who lived in a college dormitory. It was nothing particularity special, but it was his and that is all that mattered. He made a habit out of going to the cafeteria. It was here that he was able to eat ungodly amounts of food, study for assignments, and social ize with his companions. The cafeteria was a safe and warm place for the young man. However, today was not a good day. In fact, the young man was having an exceptionally bad day you see, he had just been dumped by a young woman. The young man accepted that sometimes things just don't work out but no matter what, it was okay because he had his cafeteria table... or at least he had hoped.

The young man could not believe his eyes. There, at his chair, was the most beautiful woman he had ever known. Quietly and peacefully, she wrote away in her journal in a world far beyond the young man's knowledge. However, despite her beauty, the young man did not seem to notice. He could only focus on the blasted woman who stole his precious chair. As if she could see the steam from his boiling brain she finally asked a question that changed the young man's life

                                                              "Having trouble focusing?"

The young man was shocked and a little embarrassed at her question. After slight resistance, the young man finally talked with the young woman. The conversation seemed to last for hours going from breakup stories, to music to even preferred fighting styles. The two seemed to have everything in common. Yet, the two of them never seemed to ask each other out. Despite an embarrassing number of people telling the young man and the young woman that they were perfect for each other they never seemed to catch on.

It was not until six months had past and the two were alone in the woods together sharing a hammock that the young man finally realized that he was a FREAKNG IDIOT AND UNDERSTOOD THAT SHE WAS AMAZING AND FANTASTIC FOR HIM that he asked the question.

                                                           "What are you doing Saturday?"

Thus began the tale as old as time. The young man and young woman faced many adventures and battled numerous beasts and stared into the eyes of Death himself! But that is a story for another time. The couple fell more and more in love with each other and simply could not imagine a world without the other. They realized that the greatest story has not yet been told, but they knew that in order for it to truly be the greatest, the two had to stand side by side.

Our Story

One of the most memorable moments of my life was when I was around 14 years old. He was brewing some sort of fancy coffee that tasted like dirt. With a mug of coffee in his hand, he walks over to me and says, "Josh, you're never going to get any taller. But, I can make you wider." Then he took me to the gym and taught me how to lift weights.

Justin has been one of the biggest influences on me which means any lame joke, strange mannerism or weird accent that you have heard come out of my mouth, was probably created when we were together.

Justin is my bro and he's a bro. We're bros by birth, but also bros by choice.

Although in Missouri on our wedding day, still present in spirit. So grateful to be blessed with a sister that knows me, loves me, helps me grow and that we share a love that no distance can separate.

I met James my freshman year at college at a football game. I distinctly remember him saying "look at that guy standing there watching all dramatically. What a stud." By the end of the game, I found out he was the Emperor Palpatine to my Darth Vader. With James, we would either end up pulling off some sort of scheme on campus or staying up till 2AM talking about how to change the world. Never a dull moment with James Figueroa.

He too is a bro... but not a bro with the same Mom. He is a bro that realized that we should have been bros despite the whole Mom thing that was mentioned before...

James Figueroa

A friend through thick and thin, many miles, adventures, ages past to far into the future.

Julia Frantz

A faithful friend and roommate who has seen me through many trials and tribulations and loved me through them all.

I have known Taplin since I was five years old and he has probably seen me in almost every phase of my life. If you ever hear a funny story about something stupid I have done, he was probably one of the people helping me pull it off. Whether it was screaming at each other during summer camp games, or getting our butts kicked in soccer by a bunch of Honduran children, Taplin was the guy he had my back.

Taplin is a bro, but he is also bros with my bro and other bros. He is a bro of bros. if you will. It only makes sense that he is one of my bros.

I first met Lucas around the same month I first met Liz. Me and Liz had already started boxing together so when she found out that Lucas was coming to town, she told me I had to start training with him. Within 15 minutes of knowing Lucas, I hand him a rubber knife and say "stab me" and he just shrugs and immediately goes for it. Despite how weird this may sound, it felt oddly normal. I should have guessed from that moment that I would one day call him my brother-in-law.

Lucas is Liz's bro. But he is also my bro. But you see, I think Liz is a total bro sometimes. So that makes Lucas a bro's bro's bro that is also my bro. He is a total bro for being one of my bros.
