Their love story began in November 2019 during the Auburn vs Georgia football game weekend. Alina was in town from Atlanta for the game. With a simple "swipe right" on Bumble, they connected. After a month of talking, Andrew asked Alina out on a date. The first date took place at Fado's Irish Pub in Buckhead (Atlanta) on the weekend of the NFL conference championship games. The bar was packed with limited seating during this weekend, so they were that awkward couple forced to sit on the same side of the table. They sat and talked for 7 hours. Over the next two years, Alina and Andrew would travel back-and-forth between Opelika, Alabama and Atlanta to spend time together. In April 2022 Alina joined Andrew at their now home in Opelika. A few months later, they adopted their sweet dog, Teddy. Andrew proposed to Alina on October 7, 2023 on the beach at Dauphin Island, Alabama. Andrew’s parents, Liane and Bryan, were in town for a short vacation, and Andrew had Alina’s parents, Jack and Laura, on standby ready to surprise Alina back at the house. Andrew and Alina are so excited for you all to join them on this exciting next chapter of their lives!

Rainbow Row refers to the row of pastel-colored historic homes located in Charleston, just along the Battery.The houses are located north of Tradd St. and south of Elliot St. on East Bay Street. It is a common tourist attraction and is one of the most photographed parts of Charleston.&nbsp;

The Battery is a landmark defensive seawall and promenade in Charleston, South Carolina, famous for its stately antebellum homes. Named for a civil-war coastal defense artillery battery at the site, it stretches along the lower shores of the Charleston peninsula, bordered by the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, which meet here to form Charleston harbor. This area is lined with grand antebellum homes. The garden features cannons and statues commemorating historical events.

The plantation’s 1936 mansion served as Allie’s family’s summer home in the blockbuster hit “The Notebook.” Guests can enjoy a 30-minute house tour lead by a guide in historical dress, who will introduce you to the history of Boone Hall and its evolution through several owners since 1681.The drive down Boone Hall’s breathtaking Avenue of Oaks is worth the visit alone! In 1743, the son of Major John Boone planted live oak trees, arranging them in two evenly spaced rows, creating one of the most beautiful sites today.

Dating from 1679, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is one of the oldest and most famous plantations in the South. It played a significant role in the region’s history, including the American Revolution and the Civil War. The plantation is renowned for its lush gardens. It’s an easy day trip from Charleston.

Cypress Gardens is a 175-acre swamp garden. The gardens were originally a freshwater reserve for the nearby rice plantation, Dean Hall. The gardens were created by Benjamin Rufus Kitteredge back in 1909 and became open to the public in 1932. The best part is the swamp boat tour. Paddle along a marked trail for a 45-minute tour of the swamp seeing lily pads, tall cypress trees and tupelo trees that are mirrored in the dark, black water of the swamp. These amazing gardens were used in several movies, including scenes from The Notebook, Cold Mountain and The Patriot.&nbsp;

Established in the 1790s, this historic landmark is one of the oldest public markets in the U.S. There’s everything from handmade crafts, trinkets, and jewelry to the nation’s most prized souvenir—the woven sweetgrass basket.
