Joanna is a multi-platform editorial developer and content strategist with an expertise in fashion, beauty, food, lifestyle, and pop culture. She creates fun, innovative initiatives that are user-friendly and unforgettable. She has spent the last sixteen years working in various editorial roles for Hearst Digital Media. Joanna loves her family, loud music, science-fiction movies, and making people happy. She would happily eat Dairy Queen and Diet Coke for the rest of her life.
Experience
From 2002 to 2004, Joanna worked as a Fashion and Beauty Director for TheKnot.com and The Knot magazine. While in this position she helped edit The Knot Complete Guide to Weddings in the Real World. Joanna was then hired as an Executive Editor for Seventeen. She edited fashion, beauty, lifestyle, celebrity, and relationship features and also helped conceive Seventeen’s first iPhone app. Joanna also edited Seventeen's Ultimate Guide to Style, Seventeen's Ultimate Guide to Beauty, and authored Seventeen's Guide to Your Perfect Prom. After eight years in this position, Joanna transitioned to an Executive Editor position with Food Network Magazine. She managed the magazine's features content, including celebrity, news, pop culture, and travel stories. Joanna spent nearly three years in this position before transitioning to her current position. Joanna currently works as the Editorial Director of Delish and House Beautiful. She managed the rebranding and relaunch of Delish, Hearst’s first major play in the digital food space.
