Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet Is Engaged

Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet and wife-to-be Lindsey Schweitzer are engaged. The actor shared his relationship status update via social media on August 22. "She said, 'She'd have her people call my people,'" he wrote.

His former colleagues and other celebs were thrilled for the couple. Stonestreet's on-screen husband, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, wrote: "Jesus Christ. Finally." Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Nia Vardalos also joined the chorus of congratulatory remarks on the post.

Schweitzer, a pediatric nurse, beamed in a set of photos with her massive, new engagement ring. The piece appears to be an oval-shaped diamond with a hidden halo. The large center stone is flanked by two elegant, smaller-sized trapezoid diamonds.

Stonestreet and the future bride first met at a Kansas City charity function back in 2016. During a sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres in 2017, the sitcom star shared a little insight into their relationship. "She calms me—she calms my nerves. I'm a very high-strung person," he said at the time.

Stonestreet isn't the only Modern Family cast member who's planning a wedding now. Actress Sarah Hyland and former Bachelorette contestant Wells Adams are also among those set to walk down the aisle.
