The 28-year-old client-services associate from Massachusetts caught Ellis' eye early in the season, but the spark truly ignited on their first one-on-one date in Edinburgh, Scotland. The pair bonded over their shared "lone wolf" mentality, allowing them to connect even deeper every week. When Ellis joined Pasquarosa in Newton, Massachusetts for her hometown date, he met her "big Italian family"—all 20 of them, to be exact. He shared a meaningful moment with her father, who granted Ellis permission to propose.

Although Ellis seemed unsure of who he would propose to on the final day in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, he ultimately sent runner-up Litia Garr home first. When Pasquarosa finally joined him, she professed her love for the Bachelor. "I believe that between you, me, our families, and God, the sky's the limit," she said. Ellis agreed, getting down on one knee and saying, "I'll be there for you as your man, as your friend, as your partner." Juliana Pasquarosa's engagement ring, designed by Neil Lane, is an emerald-shaped diamond flanked by tapered baguette side stones on a gold band.

On the After the Final Rose special hosted by Jesse Palmer, the couple confirmed that they're still happily together. "The whole journey's felt a bit like a fever dream," Pasquarosa said. "I'm just so excited to get dinner with this man and have a glass of wine. We're free!"
When Palmer asked if she gave her fiancé "grief" for struggling to make a decision on the final day, she had a rather coy response. "I don't think grief is the right word. I think I've given him grace," she explained. "He's the type of man who really does lead with his heart, and he came into this open-minded, and he really let himself experience what you need to experience with all the amazing women that we had... I think he made a good decision."
As for their wedding? Don't expect to see it any time soon. In an exclusive interview with People, the pair say they're in "no rush" to walk down the aisle. "I was looking for somebody with compassion and somebody with character, and I found that," Ellis said. "I have no doubt in my mind that she's an amazing person, that she's going to make an amazing wife, and I'm excited. I think we understand each other to our core."

Inspired by their parents, who were high school sweethearts, Pasquarosa's sister nominated her to join The Bachelor cast—and Ellis instantly got her family's stamp of approval. "Everything fell into place," Pasquarosa told People. "Feeling like I had such a good backing from my family, and then finding out it was [Grant], who was number one on my list of who I was hoping it would be."

After his collegiate career, Ellis went on to play professional basketball in the Dominican Republic. Sadly, an untimely injury ended his career early—but his passion for sports and staying active is as strong as ever.
