Jeff Arcuri married Katie Thurston in their NYC backyard on March 22, 2025. Although their wedding occurred less than a year after they first met, the pair wanted to tie the knot before Thurston began breast cancer treatment following her unexpected diagnosis at age 34. "Obviously, we were wanting to plan a wedding and there's a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don't know what the next year looks like," Thurston told Us Weekly ahead of their big day. "And one night he said, 'I want to show you that I still love you and that I'm here to stay. I'll get married to you tomorrow.' We flew our parents in from Michigan and Washington State. We got our marriage license and a friend is just gonna marry us."

Surrounded by their family (including their dog, Charlie), Arcuri and Thurston tied the knot in the afternoon and celebrated with dinner at NYC hotspot Da Andrea. The newlyweds intend to have a second, larger celebration once Thurston regains her health. "It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health," Thurston said of Arcuri's wish to get married as soon as possible. "He is proving that he's here to stay. He shows up every day and he does it in ways that just continue to surprise."

"Jeff took me to Hawaii and after, we were going to travel the world before planting roots together in NYC finally. But instead, my Vday was spent coordinating a place to live as I have to go back to LA for more testing and treatment," she wrote. "I used my morning to figure out insurance for NYC and laws on preexisting conditions. I scheduled appointments for another biopsy, fertility, mental health, surgery, as well as meeting with my team to discuss the overall treatment plan, which will include chemo."
Arcuri has been by her side ever since. In fact, he was the one who suggested they get married before her treatment began so he could support Thurston as her husband. Speaking to Us Weekly about his wife's experience, Arcuri praised her for turning the diagnosis into something meaningful. "The amount of times that she walks into a room reading a message from somebody saying they got checked because of her—she's taking what's happening to her and doing good," he said. "She's like, 'I'm glad it happened to me with my platform so that I can help other people.'"
