DIY Fishbowl Bach Party Game
Fishbowl is like the classic game "Charades" but about a million times better. And you can DIY the entire game—all you need are pens, scissors, blank paper and a bowl. Cut strips of paper and have every guest write three nouns (one noun per slip). Put all the slips in a bowl and divide the group into two teams. The rounds alternate between the two teams. For the first round, the format is like "Taboo" and the person who is the designated appointee for the round must draw a slip of paper and describe the item without using any of the words written on the paper. The rest of their team members must guess what the item is. Once they guess correctly, the designated person can draw another slip and repeat the process. The aim is to get through as many slips as possible in 60 seconds for accrue points. The first round is over once all the slips are gone (this typically takes about 5-6 turns total, so each team may play about 2-3 turns).
The next round is formatted like "Charades." All the same slips go back into the bowl and the game format stays the same, only this time the designated person must act out the item on the slip without using any words. Lastly, for the third round, the designated person may only say one word (and it can't be the word on the slip) and their team must guess which noun it is. Over time, the group will become more familiar withe the terms because all the slips stay the same from round one through three. If you're feeling especially adventurous, you can implement an optional fourth round wherein only noises (and no cohesive words) can be used to help the team guess. Rolling laughter is sure to ensue.
Bach Olympics
If you are your crew like active games that get your heartrate up, consider creating an Olympics-inspired set of games and obstacle courses. This is an incredibly customizable idea because you can include just about whatever you want, from three-legged races to 100-meter sprints and even kickball. Create teams and implement a point system wherein teams collect points throughout the day as the games transpire. At the end of the day, tally up the points to declare a winner. As a bonus, you could implement a rule that the losing team has to handle cooking dinner.
Chopped-Inspired Cooking Competition
