The first sign of Tyler Seguin and Kate Kirchof's romance came in September 2019, when she shared an Instagram post of them attending a Dallas Cowboys football game. She first appeared on his IG feed the following year, when the NHL star shared a photo of her in a Thanksgiving post. Then, on New Year's Day, he shared a photo of them in front of a Christmas tree, writing, "The only real bright spot of my 2020. Happy New Year everyone!! July 2022: Tyler Seguin Proposes to Kate Kirchof
After at least three years together, Seguin popped the question while on vacation in Santorini, Greece. July 2024: Tyler Seguin and His Wife Announce Their Pregnancy
The Seguins had so much to celebrate in 2024. Not only did July mark their first wedding anniversary, the two also announced that they're expecting their first child, due in January 2025. "Half of you & half of me. Baby Seguin arriving January 2025," the couple captioned a reveal video on Instagram, adding the hashtag "#babyseggy."

On July 15, 2023, Tyler Seguin and his wife Kate tied the knot in the Bahamas. The couple chose Albany as their venue, a luxe 600-acre resort community in the Baha Mar region. The couple worked with D'Vanya Hinsey of Aced Affairs to plan their lavish destination wedding, which included lush displays of tropical white flowers decorating the outdoor space.
Kirchof wore a strapless Rita Vinieris ball gown with floral lace, while Seguin donned a classic black tuxedo. Some of the athlete's teammates were in attendance, including former Dallas Stars goalie Scott Wedgewood.
After exchanging vows at a circular altar, the newlyweds shared their first dance under a whimsical canopy of tulle draping and string lights. Seguin swapped his black suit for a white jacket with black lapels and white sneakers. Before the night was over, the pair sliced into a minimal two-tier wedding cake with a textured base layer.
Two months after the big day, Kirchof reflected on their celebration, writing, "God willing, two hearts have the opportunity to collide and strengthen one another over time. Seven years ago we experienced the collision of a lifetime. As you said in Greece, 'It's you. It has always been you.' Here's to our forever."
When the NHL season picked up that fall, Seguin told reporters he had the "best summer of my life," saying that his wife helped him gain focus in his athletic career. "It gives you that peace, coming home, just that peace, having someone there at all times, someone that you care about and adore," he said at the Stars' training camp. "It helps you focus on work a lot easier and there's not as much distractions, so I'm excited for this year on and off the ice."
