Updated News

Harvey and Lilette met on a dating app and started FaceTiming in May 2023. On June 12, 2023, Harvey flew to Manhattan and took Lilette out on a first date. Harvey planned for a walk in the Hudson River Park and dinner at Flatiron Room. We (fortunately) don't have any photos from our first date, which lasted 7 hours, even though it was a Monday night. Because it was raining, Harvey and Lilette ducked into City Winery at Chelsea Piers, and after dinner and jazz music, went to catch part of the NBA Finals at a sports bar. Harvey and Lilette went to a karaoke bar afterwards, where Harvey sang Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places" and Otis Redding's "Sitting' on the Dock of the Bay."

How We Met

A couple of weeks later, Lilette flew to Salt Lake City to spend time with Harvey in UT. Harvey had arranged several days in Salt Lake City and Park City, including hikes and exploring downtown Salt Lake City and Park City. Harvey’s sister, Grace, was working at Cotopaxi at the time, so Harvey showed Lilette around the Park City Cotopaxi store.

First Trip Together to UT

A few weeks later, Harvey took Lilette to Logan, UT, where he was living at the time. Harvey and Lilette did several hikes, including the Crimson Trail and the Logan River Trail, and went to Harvey's local church, where Lilette got to meet Harvey's friends, Joey and Fernanda and Danny and Brittany. Harvey and Lilette enjoyed downtown Logan and had tamales at the farmer's market after mass.

Lilette’s First Trip to Logan

On Harvey and Lilette's next trip to Park City, Harvey asked Lilette to meet his parents in his hometown of Skaneateles, NY, over Labor Day Weekend. Lilette told Harvey she would like for him to meet her family as well.

Trip to Park City

In August 2023, Harvey and Lilette decided to take a trip to Arches National Park in Moab, UT, on the way to Durango, CO. While in Moab, Harvey and Lilette did several hikes, enjoyed hot springs in the red rocks, and went to the Moab Rock Shop.

Arches National Park

At the Moab airport, Harvey went to get the rental car while Lilette went to get the luggage. When Lilette had the luggage, she went to the rental car counter, where she heard Harvey and the rental car agent laughing. Lilette asked what was funny, and Harvey and the rental car agent said, "nothing." For the next year, Lilette bugged Harvey by trying to guess the joke. More on this later...

The Joke

In August 2023, Harvey and Lilette went to meet Lilette's parents, Scott and Layla, in Durango, CO. Scott, Layla, Harvey, and Lilette drove to Silverton, CO, and went on a Jeep tour to Ouray, CO, and enjoyed time in downtown Durango.

Harvey Meets Lilette’s Parents

During the Labor Day 2023 trip to Skaneateles, Lilette met Harvey's sister, Grace, her husband, Eric, and their kids, Charlie and Ellie. Lilette Meets the Zuncic's

On the drive back from Skaneateles, NY, to Lilette's house in Beacon, NY, Harvey and Lilette stopped to have dinner in CT with Harvey's sister, Olivia, her husband, Dave, and their daughters, Vivian and Cecilia. Vivian and Cecilia's wonderful relationship reminded Lilette so much of her and her sister, Lelesse, growing up.

Lilette Meets the McNeal's

Lilette surprised Harvey with tickets to a Yankee's game for his birthday. The Yankees were very considerate of Harvey's birthday and beat the Tigers.

For Christmas 2023, Lilette (selfishly) got tickets to a George Strait - Chris Stapleton concert for Harvey. It paid off, because George Strait and Chris Stapleton were on the list of Harvey's most listened to artists for 2024, even when Lilette wasn’t around.

George Strait - Chris Stapleton Concert

Harvey asked Lilette to take the morning off work for a sunrise hike. At 4:30am, they headed out to the trailhead of one of Lilette's favorite hikes to catch sunrise, Storm King. Harvey and Lilette sat on a ledge to watch sunrise, and Harvey told Lilette it was time for him to finally tell her "the joke" from nearly a year before at the Moab airport. "The joke" was that the rental car agent had referred to Lilette as Harvey's wife, and Harvey knelt down and asked Lilette to marry him.
