Jason was amazing to work with. He had great ideas and location suggestions. He really took charge and got our 22 bridal party together. We just received our wedding photos and they are all amazing. Highly recommend him. His second shooter did a great job as well!

Jason and his assistant were amazing. He always answered our emails and questions (however many we would send haha) in a timely and welcoming manner. He is very organized, kept the day moving at a good pace, and when we started running behind schedule was able to think on his feet and help make the most of our time to get all the photos we wanted. My husband and I cannot express enough how happy we are that we hired Jason to take our wedding pictures! We are extremely happy we used Jason Winkeler Photography for our engagement photos and wedding. When we first met with Jason, he asked how we met, how my husband proposed, and all about us. We knew right away he was going to make our photos personal and do them in a way that would reflect our personalities. During the engagement shoot, he made it fun and comfortable and the photos turned out better than we could have imagined. Then came time for the big day! Jason and I spoke before to walk through how the events would go. Not only did he take amazing photos, but he also kept us on task, stuck to a timeline, was professional AND fun and captured all the important moments of the day, night and then some. I had an idea of what I wanted, but Jason far exceeded my expectations. As I write this review, I have tears coming to my eyes thinking about the amazing memories he captured perfectly. We used Jason for our wedding back in June, and he did an amazing job photographing the entire day plus our engagement photos. He was recommended to us by another couple, and we would easily recommend him for anyone looking for a photographer. We interviewed several photographers! We loved how down to earth, personal, and honest Jason was. We had our engagement photos and wedding photos shot by him. Jason was such a pleasure to work with! He did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. We absolutely loved how our engagement photos turned out. I felt like he really managed to capture us as a couple! Additionally, we opted for a wedding package that included an album and I am glad that we did because we just received the album and it turned out amazing. The photos really captured how awesome our wedding day was and I could not be more pleased we each of the photos. It was actually hard to narrow down which photos to put in the album because there were too many good ones! And for the type A brides like myself, you would be happy to know that Jason was so easy to get ahold! He was quick to respond to every email and super punctual for each of our events. If we could give Jason more stars we WOULD!! He is so laid back and helps everyone feel comfortable but yet gets things done. The photos he got of our wedding day (Chandler Hill) were just INCREDIBLE!!! I've had so many compliments on the photos already!! We had only 45 mins to get photos after the wedding (no first look) before the reception and wow he worked his magic and got so many amazing shots of us!! BOOK WITH JASON you WILL NOT be disappointed, I can assure you that!!

I highly recommend Jason Winkeler Photography for your wedding photography needs! When you are considering someone you will be obligated to spend your entire wedding day with aside from your soon to be spouse, Jason (and in our case, his assistant Chelsea) was the perfect guy! Hours of photography can be daunting when you want to focus on your big day. He was extremely flexible and allowed my husband and I to just enjoy our day and be ourselves while he photographed our interactions. Of course, there were the posed photographs but much of what I recall is us talking and enjoying our time together while Jason photographed us. He also worked feverishly to accomplish my big goal which was to not have to take photographs after the ceremony so we could enjoy mingling at our cocktail hour and reception with our guests. He was able to accomplish family and wedding party photos (with two of the most challenging families I can imagine) all before the ceremony! This was so important to me and it really made my day that Jason listened to what I requested and made it happen. We did break off for a few of our first minutes as husband and wife which Jason was able to capture as we took a short walk through Forest Park. As I'm sure the life of a wedding photographer becomes monotonous shooting photos of bride and groom over and over, Jason still exudes passion for his career as he gets really excited when he snaps a good shot. It really was comfortable to have him as the third wheel during our wedding day. I wouldn't change anything if I had to do it all again and I high recommend Jason!

Jason photographed us for both our engagement session and wedding. He's professional, accommodating, responsive, creative and his energy/excitement is contagious. Jason took extra time to learn what photographs were important to us on our big day and got to know us on a personal level all the way down to family dynamics! He truly killed it on our big day and never showed stress even during our outdoor ceremony where the weather was 90 degrees and incredibly humid. I'd recommend him again and again. My husband and I are so pleased with everything that Jason did to make our wedding day special. Jason was wonderful from the get go. He communicated efficiently and effectively throughout the entire wedding planning process. He did a fantastic job of managing my large wedding party and family photos on the church alter with kindness and assertiveness. We did have a little bit of rain on our wedding day but Jason and his assistant jumped right into it and captured beautiful photos of my husband, dog, and myself under an umbrella. He also communicated well with our party bus driver to provide direction to the different stops we made. The whole day was seamless, relaxing, and enjoyable. We couldn't be happier with the way our photographs turned out!

I had an amazing experience working with Jason during our engagement session, on our wedding day, and also on putting together our album afterwards. He is very responsive with calls and emails, which was important for wedding planning. Our photos were absolutely amazing and unique! He really made sure we got all of the shots we needed/wanted on our wedding day and ensured our day was smooth and fun. He has such an upbeat personality and is so much fun to work with. My husband and I can't say enough good things about Jason's photography work. We have received numerous compliments on our photos and we have recommended him as a photographer to multiple engaged couples. We hope to have the opportunity to work with Jason again in the future.

After researching several photographers, we decided to go with Jason. His portfolio was impressive and he was a very likable person. Despite this, I'm still upset with our wedding photos almost a year later. During our engagement shoot, I asked several times for him not to take photos from a lower angle-hello double chin. When I got our engagement photos back, I bawled. Luckily we still had a year before the wedding, so I thought oh I'll just tell him what I didn't like and lose weight and the problem will be fixed. Wrong. I emailed him letting him know how I felt, yet almost half of our formal pictures were taken from a lower angle, again highlighting the double chin I worked to get rid of. We got very few romantic just the bride and groom photos, and half of the family pictures were skipped. And yes, I filled out the shot list and questionnaire. We got a handful of shots I loved, but out of over 1000 pictures there should have been more. Our album is more "what photos I didn't hate" rather than an album full of pictures I loved. I feel as a wedding photographer your job is to make the bride and groom look their best and find flattering poses/angles. I definitely don't feel like this happened, and still hate looking at most of our pictures. This was the best day of my life and I FELT beautiful, but it for sure didn't come through in photos. The individual pictures with my bridesmaids were rushed and not in good lighting or from a flattering angle. Which is a shame since there was only one pose done with each girl, I couldn't even pick a silly one to print for them as a gift. The detail pictures were upsetting as well. Our venue and decor was STUNNING and there are very few photos of it to show off. The pictures of my shoes/veil/etc. were literally just thrown on a chair in the hotel room and quickly shot. Our rings were taken from us in the middle of the reception, shot with a Koozie, and handed back. No style at all. Overall very disappointed with our experience, especially considering the price we paid. I know he's done great work with others, but feel that effort and care was not put forth into our wedding and we were just another wedding to tack onto his list.

I could not recommend a better photographer. We were so lucky to find Jason on theknot.com. He was extremely professional and easy to work with. When we first met with him his portfolio of work spoke for itself. Jason's prices are very reasonable given the quality of his work. We chose the top package and couldn't be happier with our album and all of the prints we got as well. We also had a very difficult coordinator at the church where we were married. Jason advocated strongly for us to have more time so we could get the pictures my wife wanted. One of the best parts of our wedding day was taking pictures on the golf course with Jason. He made all of the pictures we took so fun and easy. If you are looking for a photographer that will work with you to make your wedding day very special I would highly recommend Jason. It was easily the best choice we could have made!

Photos were the most important item we wanted to book for our wedding day. It was important to us to connect well with our photographer, willing to travel to Denver (we moved out to CO), reasonably priced and did great work. Jason embodied every single one of these. Might I say, we had a lot of personal requests and Jason met all of them with professionalism and honesty. Jason flew out to Denver to do our engagement photos and we had a blast, there were a multitude of favorite, unique photos. Before our wedding day Jason was willing to meet with us multiple times and talk to us on the phone. Our photos were delivered on time, beautiful and unique. Jason read through our questionnaire and captured all of our personal touches to the wedding and I appreciated it so much. I wish we could relive our wedding day every day!

When we began looking for a wedding photographer, we searched many websites and reviews, and we kept ending back up at Jason's website. We made a call to meet with him, and once we met, we were certain that we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. He is very easy to talk to and laid-back, and he also has a very creative approach to photography. For our engagement session, he drove to meet us at the site of our ceremony (my childhood home) for our engagement session and to scope out the site of the ceremony. He really had an eye for detail, and we ended up with some beautiful shots that made me look forward to the day of our wedding and how the photos would look. Fast forward to the wedding day, and Jason was so easy and great to have around. He and his assistant were wonderful all day. They efficiently moved about my hectic house during the "getting ready" stage all while capturing gorgeous shots. They also had no issue getting great pictures of the ceremony, post-ceremony, and reception. I really appreciated how Jason kept the pictures moving after the ceremony. He was able to stick to the timeline and managed to gather the people up for pictures which took a lot of stress from me trying to get our family members all ready or lined up for photos. Jason and his assistant were also great fun during post-ceremony and reception photos. I enjoyed their creative take on different poses and ideas. When my wedding pictures were finished, I couldn't stop looking at them over and over. We are just so happy that we chose Jason as our photographer. All of the shots are wonderful, and it is definitely difficult to narrow down favorites. I'd recommend Jason's services to anyone!!

Jason and team were incredible! My husband stumbled upon their pictures from another wedding when we were looking for pics of our venue online and I loved how they captured the space. It was great to be able to work with Jason for our engagement pictures to really get a sense for how he would be on the day of the wedding. He is very calm and listens to your ideas and suggestions - wanting to make sure he captures everything just as you want it, but also brings a wealth of knowledge and fun energy to the experience! Wow! Where do I even begin? If you are in search of a wedding photographer (or really a photographer for any event) look no further. Jason and his team made our wedding day so special and we are beyond pleased with the results. We originally hired Jason for his photography services, and later on throughout the planning process decided that we could not pass up on his newly added videography package. And boy, are we glad we did! Not only are we absolutely IN LOVE with our photos, but the videos that we received just bring everything back to life. Unfortunately, we have since had a family member pass and I am so glad that we have that special person on film forever at the most important day of our lives. Jason and his staff made our day personable, and we were laughing the whole time. We knew we wanted a low-stress photographer that could still offer a sense of stability and structure without being overly "pushy." Jason was the perfect mix of all of those things. I didn't have to double check or worry if we were getting the right shots, or angles. We told him what we wanted, and he delivered....BIG TIME--and all from planning the wedding from out of town. He was always timely with phone calls, email responses and just made us feel at ease. We hope to have the chance to work with Jason and his team again in the future, and I am not ashamed to say that we have SEVERAL photos from our wedding day now hanging in our home. From our engagement pictures to our wedding day pictures, there were so many real laughs, that it was difficult to choose our favorites. However, Jason was able to help us relax all while giving us directions to create the perfect poses. We had a large wedding party and he was able to coordinate our rambunctious group and get some amazing pictures, all while keeping the day light and fun. I had a very different experience that most other couples here. I was disappointed in the quality of my photos - it looked like they were barely edited, if edited at all. The angles and lighting were generally unflattering. Additionally, Jason was completely unprepared and acted as if it was a major imposition to be photographing our wedding, which was noticed by my family and bridesmaids. I gave a lot of direction in my wedding questionnaire and in phone conversations with Jason, which he paid no attention to. He was also slow in delivering our engagement photos and wedding photos and getting back to me period - it seems like he was always sick. I wouldn't recommend him.

He was so awesome!! My husband and I did not have any idea of what type of pictures we wanted at the wedding, we just knew the locations for the pictures. But after they saw the locations, they had so many ideas and their instructions for us were easy to follow. I am beyond excited to see the pictures, I know they will be perfect!! I highly recommend him!!!

Where do I begin! After much searching and meeting with several potential photographers, we got the opportunity to meet with Jason. Unlike the other photographers we met with previously, Jason had such a grasp on our vision for our photography style. We knew right away that we wanted to book him for our wedding! We first had an engagement photo session with Jason. It was November and our session was going to take place outside. It turned out to be a cold, dreary day and I was worried about how the photos would turn out and even though we were all freezing, Jason still made the session a lot of fun for my husband and I. When Jason sent us the link to our photos we were pleasantly surprised! They were amazing photos and there were so many to choose from! Looking at the pictures, you would think it was a nice Fall day! My husband and I did not want to see each other before the wedding, which meant all of our pictures together and all of our pictures with family and the wedding party had to take place between the ceremony and the reception. Our concern was that we did not want to keep our guests waiting too long at the reception and we were also concerned that we may not have enough time to get all of the photos we wanted. However, Jason was very reassuring, telling us that we would have enough time to stick to our plan. On our wedding day, we had Jason and Travis as our photographers. They were both so easy to work with and made being photographed a lot of fun. They were very organized and kept the family pictures and wedding party pictures moving so we could have plenty of time to focus on shots of my husband and I. The day we received our link to our wedding portfolio we were so excited! When I opened it up, I got teary eyed! Every little special moment of that day was captured so beautifully. The photos portrayed the story of our wedding day and of everyone who shared it with us. We were absolutely astounded by his talent. Not only was he talented, but he definitely knew what we were hoping for in our wedding pictures and fulfilled our wishes by capturing all of the moments that meant so much to us. We felt very rushed on our wedding day and felt like we didn't get all of the photos we wanted. A different photographer shot our wedding. I called Jason and asked if he would shoot photos of just me and my husband in our wedding clothes again. I didn't get a chance to go downtown for photos on our wedding day. I told him I really wanted to shoot some photos in Forest Park. Jason picked out all of the perfect places for us to shoot in Forest Park, we also went to Central West End, and the Library downtown. He went above and beyond to take the best photos. He even spent much more time with us that what we had agreed upon. I didn't have to worry about anything. You can tell that Jason has a ton of knowledge and experience. He knows exactly the places to go and looks for the best lighting. We can be awkward and we wanted someone that would make us feel comfortable. Jason made us laugh and was directing us whenever needed. At the same time Jason is very relaxed and stress free while he works professionally. Overall I could have cried because our photos were so beautiful. I would recommend Jason to anyone. I wouldn't look any further for an excellent photographer.

From the moment I saw Jason's work here and read the reviews I knew he was the photographer I wanted to work with. He lived up to all of my expectations and more! My husband and I wanted fresh, modern, but classic pictures of our day and that's exactly what Jason delivered. He even managed to make my husband look and feel relaxed, even though he feels awkward posing for pictures. Jason took the time to get to know us and what we wanted. I can not thank him and his assistant enough!

We used Jason for our wedding in August '15 and could not be more satisfied. Our pictures are absolutely amazing! We let Jason choose our locations since we didn't want to use the typical wedding spots and each spot turned out perfect! We received the photos back less than a month following our wedding too! Danielle who worked with him also did an amazing job and got some beautiful shots! They were super easy to work with, responded promptly to questions/concerns, and are one of the more reasonable photographers we've found - that still takes amazing pictures! We highly recommend him and have referred him to many of our friends who are getting married!

Perfection! Jason and his crew are super easy to work with. He took the time to get to know us and what we wanted to feature in our wedding and engagement photos. We had a great time during our shoots. Nothing seemed forced or overly staged. It was more like chatting with a friend while shooting some photos at our favorite places in STL. Jason is the best. Going anywhere else for your wedding photos in the Saint Louis area is a mistake.

I'll be honest, I didn't put a lot of time and effort into many aspects of wedding planning; however, I spent weeks researching photographers and comparing styles. I wanted what everyone wants- amazing quality pictures and a fun photographer within my budget. I did not realize how difficult that would be. Then we found Jason. I could not be happier with how our photos turned out, both the engagement and wedding photos. Jason and his assistant are very knowledgeable about lighting and the set-up of shots. They were very flexible with their plans (we were working around the predicted severe thunderstorms on our wedding day-hurray!) and very professional. Jason was so easy to get along with from the first consultation! When I was still deciding on photographers I knew from the minute I walked out of his studio I would want him to be our wedding photographer. He is very easy-going but also knows how to direct you when you need help. Our photos turned out beautiful! He even helped us get great pictures when a thunderstorm rolled in during our time before the reception to have photos taken. We got all the photos we wanted and then some! We also loved having his second photographer with us! Last but not least, the Wedding Album is beyond GORGEOUS. We absolutely loved working with Jason and would recommend him to anyone!

Jason was awesome! He is very laid back and that is exactly what I needed on my wedding day. He also came out to the venue the day before my wedding to check out spots to do photos. I have not received my photos back yet, but I am excited to see the work. I had a friend use him and from seeing his blog, he has great work. It was fun working with him and I would use him again!

Loved having Jason as a photographer. We are so happy with the pictures that we got. He really makes an effort to give you the style of photography that you want. He is really easy-going and fun to work with. He was also able to handle some awkward family photo tension. His assistant on our wedding day was also really nice. She was able to capture certain shots that he wasn't able to get, so we had lots of variety in our pictures. They were well-edited, and we have truly enjoyed going through them. Our family members have already begun asking for prints! The only downside is that prints were a bit out of our budget.

Jason and his team are wonderful!! Day of the wedding they were there and did everything I could have asked for - got all of the standard shots, but also got amazing candid shots. They were really great at giving us direction to get the right shots, and the whole wedding party had fun while doing it!! Jason recommended a couple of places for us to go between the ceremony and reception and we were really happy with those too…it was so clear how talented he is when we were in different spots because he had an eye for what would look great in the final product. We are thrilled with all of the pictures, and love how we have SO many of them! They were great in helping to coordinate everything, all the way from the schedule of the wedding day, to making sure we had the album exactly as we wanted. We got the album tonight and love it!! I definitely would recommend Jason to anybody!! The team is great to work with and the quality of the final product is perfect!

Working with Jason was truly a wonderful and fun experience. I usually hate having my picture taken but he made our engagement session fun and casual. Jason is unbelievably talented! I've had nothing but wonderful compliments on our wedding pictures. From our first conversation on the phone to the last email I have enjoyed every interaction. Jason and his crew were attentive from the very beginning. From the first meeting until the last meeting. He did EVERYTHING he could to make sure we got every cent we paid for and then some! The photos are beautiful and the staff was so nice! I would recommend Jason to ANYONE looking for gorgeous photos and an awesome staff.

Jason was so understanding. As we were doing everything from across the country he was flexible about our package (gave us more time instead of engagement which we did locally), was great about setting up phone calls and emails. For the level of quality he was one of the most affordable we found! He gave us all of our edited wedding photos digitally too which was a major plus.

Jason and his assistant Heather did an AMAZING job on our wedding day and engagement photos! I really could not have asked for anything better than what he provided us with. We found it really hard to find a photographer that was with in our budget and when we saw Jason and his quality of work we knew we were making the right choice. He went above and beyond, making sure we captured every single "look" I was wanting. He's not over the top like some have been in previous weddings I've been in, you barely know he's there but he still managed to get it all! We ended up with over 1000 photos and the hardest part about the whole process was just picking which ones to pick because there were so many awesome ones. We let Jason pick where we took the photos in-between the ceremony and reception and he spent time on his own driving around and looking for unique places and even sent us photos of ideas he had. We just could not be happier!

My fiance & I booked Jason Winkeler based on the referral of a co-worker. We were 100% please with Jason from start to finish. He is very laid-back & easy to talk with & we felt that he answered all of our questions prior to booking without any pressure in the least bit. He also never made us feel like the package we chose was "not enough". Jason really took into account our wants & needs for the big day. We chose not to do an engagement session as the package suggested & in place of that Jason allowed us an extra hour of coverage. It was nice to work with someone who truly met OUR needs. Come wedding day, Jason & his assistant were on-time, professional, quiet & polite to all of our friends & family. Honestly we didn't even know they were there during the ceremony & reception. The turnaround time for our electronic proofs was quicker than anticipated & we are over-joyed with the quality of our wedding pictures. If you are looking for someone who will get the job done according to what you want for a reasonable price, this is the guy.

My husband and I got married on March 29, 2014. We had the pleasure of working with Jason Winkeler and we are SO happy we didn't choose anyone else! He took our engagement photos, designed and printed our save the dates, captured out wedding, and made our wedding album. We could not be happier with our decision to go with Jason. Jason ensured that everything went seamlessly. He was great with keeping the stress down and keeping us moving along. Our package came with an engagement shoot which we had to reschedule twice, Jason was flexible and understanding. On the day of our wedding, our transportation did not show up, Jason and his second photographer were so accommodating by providing solutions and even driving some of our party to our photography locations. Even with the time crush Jason ensured all of the photos I wanted were taken and many more. Jason was quick to get our photos to us and ensured that we had them by christmas. I cannot express my gratitude to Jason and Com for the wonderful job they did and for making our transportation disaster almost seem nonexistent. They were able to capture our wedding from so many angles and made our special day an unforgettable one.

My fiancé and I enjoyed both our engagement session with Jason and our wedding day. When first meeting with Jason, my fiancé related to his easy going nature right away and was looking forward to working with him. We did our engagement session in one of our favorite St Louis areas. Even though we had quite a bit of apprehension, Jason was great and that easy going personality really helped us relax and have fun. We thought our engagement pictures were great! Our wedding day went off without a hitch. We were excited to have Jason and his partner cover our wedding. They did a great job taking photos in the style we wanted and working with strong family members. As the bride, I didn't feel anxious at all working with these photographers and I knew we would like the results. We got our online access to photos 3 weeks after our wedding day and they are such a treat! Everything I want as far as shots and documentation of the day is there! Both my fiancé and I would highly recommend Jason as a photographer.
