Chris at A La Mode was so easy to work with, and our key lime pie was DELICIOUS! Chris was responsive, set expectations about the best time to order, and helped us customize where possible. My brother picked up the pie without any issues the day of our wedding, and it was so good!! One of the best key lime pies I've ever had. And getting to take home this gorgeous pie dish to remember our wedding by was the cherry on top.
For our wedding, we wanted as many details as possible to be fun and unique, which meant trading cake for pie, which was a fantastic decision! A La Mode Pies makes the tastiest pies and there were so many great choices that we had a hard time narrowing it down. They were easy to work with from a personal tasting to finalizing our pie count. Our guests raved about how yummy it was, and we agreed wholeheartedly. We would highly recommend using A La Mode Pies for any event serving a dessert.
Yummy!! I loved that we had pie for our wedding dessert, it was perfect! And delicious! A La Mode was great to work with, as well. They were very responsive and organized. They even brought a little fresh fruit to accompany each pie on the display table - such a great touch! Thanks for everything, A La Mode!!
We worked with A La Mode to order and pick up a few pies for our small wedding. Ordering was simple and communication was quick - we did everything via email and an invoice online for easy payment. Pickup was simple and the pies held up well even though we didn’t eat them for 2 days after pickup. Most importantly, the pies were awesome - the group loved getting to try a few different flavors (Marionberry being the group favorite). Highly recommend.
Let me start by saying that the pie was DELICIOUS! Pie for my wedding was a great addition. However, they were very unorganized and challenging to work with. The person who we originally did the tasting and booking with stopped working there at some point, and there was no hand-off of her orders. So a month before the wedding, I went on a wild goose hunt to get the details finalized for my wedding. When I went to pay the final balance, not only could they not find my order, but they had to call the other store to figure out how to take my check and give me a receipt (without adding tax). For the sake of the pie, I am hoping that they can get more organized to help future couples.
We visited A la Mode Pies on Phinney Ridge to seek out dessert options for our wedding. We arranged a free tasting and were amazed and delighted by the number of pies we were able to try (16 slices!). There was an impressive range of sweet and tart, light and rich. You could tell there was so much care and talent put into the pies and Chris was an absolutely delight to meet. He listened to our needs and helped us set up an order of exactly what we wanted for the wedding: the spiced apple and the marionberry. Both pies were a hit at the wedding and our guests couldn't stop raving about them. The apple pie, in particular, was a mountain of fruit that provided a beautiful display on our dessert table in addition to being delicious. We absolutely recommend A la Mode Pies!
Such wonderful staff and the pies are absolutely incredible. Everyone loved them and they were so easy to work with! I'm just looking for a reason to hold another event I can order more pies for.
O. M. G. These pies are SO GOOD. Our wedding guests went berserk over all the flavors (we got five), and everybody remarked on how fun it was to be at a wedding with pie instead of cake. Everybody at the shop was great to work with, and they set up a beautiful display on the day of. I’m salivating just thinking about it—100% recommend A la Mode!
The pies were amazing! All of our guests raved about them and went back for several pieces. Such a hit! The only thing I would suggest is that they offer delivery outside of Seattle (I was married in Redmond) and pickup of their pie stands and dishes. It was a lot to coordinate and added to the stress of the day. I'm sure other couples would be willing to pay an upcharge.
We loved featuring a la mode pies at our wedding. All flavors were delicious and the company was speedy with communication. Living in the Phinney neighborhood, we love supporting local businesses - and our wedding was no exception! Our guests loved the pies and this is truly a great business to work with.
We got 3 different kinds of pie at our wedding - every one more delicious than the last! The desserts were a hit with our guests. After our tasting, we brought home some samples to share with our parents and my mom was so in love she would drop by a la Mode every time she was in Seattle!
We found out about A La Mode by chance through a friend and after tasting the first bite we decided to have pies instead of cake at our wedding and are so happy that we did! We were invited to have a pie tasting to decide which four we wanted to serve and it was so difficult to decide because they were all delicious. I've grown up eating pies for all celebrations and my mom's pies are really hard to beat but these came the closest I have ever tasted. The owner was great to work with and very helpful (although not always easy to get a hold of). He set the pies up the day of our wedding and they looked beautiful. I only got to taste a couple bites during the wedding but all of the guests said that they were amazing and kept going back for more.
We got four different types of pies for our wedding. All delicious. The blue hawaiian was definitely a hit for our guests. The shop was also very helpful with pie stands to rent.
We had eight pies from A La Mode for our dessert table, and I heard they were delicious! My husband and I never got a taste, because they were eaten up, which was a great sign.
My one issue was my husband getting a phone call 5 hours before our wedding saying we needed to pay the remaining balance. I wish they would have talked to our wedding coordinator who was onsite and who could have also paid them on our behalf. They did have her contact information, so they knew not to contact my husband or myself. My husband was told they had to be paid immediately otherwise they would leave. Not the greatest customer service, but yummy pies.
