Absolutely fantastic food and customer service, the pizzas are works of art. Sean and Maaren are amazing, they answered every question I had. Catering experience made easy, I never worried or had any concern that the dinner at my wedding was going to be anything less than the best. I am still getting compliments weeks later. The communication before, during and after my wedding was great. I am so glad to have had A Wandering Fire as part of my day!

Maaren and Sean were so great. I have worked in the restaurant and catering industry as a chef for the last 25 years. So many of my friends were coming up from Chicago and from across the country to celebrate with us. The one thing everyone asked before - was of course, what's for dinner, are you cooking? So the pressure was really on for us to have outstanding food at the wedding. I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the food or the service received. They are true professionals and showed our guests wonderful hospitality. I have seen at least 2 photo's of Sean with our family so you know that means he really made an impression. We also did a signature vegetarian pizza with sweet corn, basil and jalapenos that turned out spectacular. And did grazing table with smoked fish spreads to start. I actually didn't get to see this because of photo's however we had some snacks set aside for us and they we delicious. We had 120 guests and everyone moved smoothly through the line there was no waiting and it was really just perfect. We are very excited to visit them on the pizza farm next summer and would highly recommend for anyone looking for something fun and a little different for their wedding or catering event.

I highly recommend A Wandering Fire (AWF)! Sean, Maaren, and their team are incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and professional. Their pizza, appetizers, and strawberry basil lemonade are delicious! We were so happy with our wedding social hour and reception dinner and our guests were raving about the food! We had a handful of guests with special dietary needs. AWF was very accommodating and has a practiced process for taking these orders before the start of dinner service to minimize the risk of cross contamination and improve overall service. One of our guests has celiac disease and is also dairy-free. They don’t usually eat pizza at events or restaurants for fear of cross-contamination but Sean walked them through their process and safely prepared a personal pizza just for them. Our guest was thrilled they could eat pizza without getting sick and appreciated the immense care that AWF took to prepare their meal. In addition, Sean and Maaren are very attentive to their clients. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and even took the time to visit our venue on a Sunday afternoon to get a visual on the space and finalize their arrival/set-up on the day of our wedding. My husband and I had to take some photos during a portion of our social hour and AWF set aside appetizers for us to ensure we still had a chance to enjoy them. Throughout dinner service, they checked in with us to ensure that we had enough to eat and even sent us home with 2 pizzas of our choice at the end of the night. Thank you, AWF! Y’all are incredible and we appreciate you.

Such a DREAM catering company to work with!! AWF was recommended to us by our wedding venue and we are so grateful for that. Sean and Maaren were such amazing communicators the whole way through. We spoke on the phone more than a handful of times before our wedding- they anticipated our questions and gave us so much reassurance and comfort during such a high stress time in our lives. They have a wonderful, diverse menu to choose from. They accommodated our dietary restrictions without any hesitation. The food was AMAZING, our guests could not stop talking about it. Everyone was up for seconds. Their set-up and take down process was so quick and easy. The whole day went off without a hitch. Their energy and demeanor was so delightful, even as they worked tirelessly. At the end of the night, they made a personal pizza for both my husband and I (which we devoured on the kitchen floor of our Airbnb at 2am). We love you AWF!!

Sean & Maaren are awesome to work with and their food is amazing! I had them cater food for my brother's grooms dinner that was hosted at my house. Everyone loved all the food! Apps, pizza and dessert were all delicious! I hope I have to host another event just so I can have them out again!

A Wandering Fire was fantastic to work with!!! We worked with them to cater our wedding in October and despite the rain they made the best of the situation and we had nothing but rave reviews from guests. They also went out of their way on multiple occasions on our wedding night to ensure we had eaten or asking if we needed more food. We cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I booked A Wandering Fire for our rehearsal dinner at the end of September. Originally we weren’t going to do a rehearsal dinner, but we are so glad that we did because it allowed us to have some of the most fun and delicious food! Not only were Sean and Maaren completely on top of things from our very first correspondence, but the food was absolutely phenomenal, it was fun to watch them cook, and the guests continued to rave about how delicious the food was all weekend! The fun and unique pizza options were a highlight of the event - I am a very picky eater and I loved trying everything! As an added bonus, they made my husband and I a pizza each to take home, which came in handy after our wedding the next night because we were STARVING. And the food was still so delicious. A Wandering Fire took so much care in making sure our guests with allergies and sensitivities were safe and taken care of. We couldn’t not recommend them enough if you are looking for a caterer for your next event!

From the moment we looked through their menu, we knew that this was the caterer for us. Sean and Maaren have worked tirelessly to create an incredible menu and cultivate the kind of service and passion a couple can only dream of. Sean seas always quick to respond to emails and questions, and our tasting at their community night only cemented our high opinion of them. The pizzas were an absolute hit with our guests, and everyone, no matter their dietary need, was able to be fed without issue. If I can hire this team for every minor event for the rest of my life, I would. You’ll never find a better team than right here.

We’re so happy we booked A Wandering Fire to to cater our wedding! They were an absolute hit with our guests. Everything was so delicious and fresh with many of our guests going back for seconds and even thirds! So many guests complimented on how delightful Sean, Maaren and the whole team were. You can tell that this is their PASSION and it shows in their food. If you’re looking for a fun catering concept do not sleep on A Wandering Fire! They’re incredible :)

Such a great experience! We used a wandering fire for our wedding and it went so perfectly! We had so many compliments from our guests, and the staff was so helpful and considerate with all of the organization. The pizza was perfect, and they even put together a late night snack for our guests to snack on later in the night. We got the antipasti spread for the social hour, and we got so many compliments on how unique the snacks were. When we were in the planning process we got a bit mixed up with the payments, but Sean immediately made sure to give us a call to sort everything out.. it was so great to have a vendor that we knew we could trust. We had such an incredible experience working with A Wandering Fire and having them as our caterer at our wedding. We did not need to worry about anything when it came to dinner- I felt very comfortable having them handle it and I focused on everything else. We had so many compliments on the food and some people got FOURTHS of the meal. Not to mention they are very affordable for a buffet wedding option, we could not find any options at this price that were so great with dietary restrictions (we had A LOT of dietary restrictions). Highly recommend!

A Wandering Fire was an absolute hit on our wedding day. The pizza was amazing, and Maaren and Sean were a pleasure to work with. They made the whole process stress-free and were excellent communicators. We had a large amount of gluten-free guests at our wedding, and they were professionals at ensuring everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to have delicious wood-fired pizza at their wedding.

We cannot thank Sean and his team at Wandering Fire enough! Everything they brought to our reception was an absolute hit. The appetizers during social hour were to die for, the creative pizzas were delicious, and Sean saving the day by letting us use extra plates for our cake/cupcakes that we forgot was just the icing on top to how wonderful of a group everyone was. We also had several vegetarian and gluten sensitive guests and Sean and his team went above and beyond for them. A Wandering Fire was absolutely delicious and incredible. My guests were all completely smitten with how kind and fun everyone with the team was, and we will absolutely be recommending them to any friends with upcoming weddings ♥️

10/5 stars! Cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to partner with AWF. The food was incredible, and was outshined only by the wonderful team. Their thoughtful communication, fun attitude, and super professional setup all contributed to our wonderful experience. The pizzas are predictably wonderful, but make sure not to overlook their appetizer spread. My family was raving about the antipasti long after the event ended. Thank you a million times over, Maaren and Sean! :)

So many guests came up to us at our wedding raving about the food! Maaren and Sean and their team truly delivered the best service and food. We purchased the Silver Package with the antipasti for a wedding of 120 and it was perfect! We HIGHLY recommend A Wandering Fire for your next event. Best pizza around! Also worth noting that Sean and Maaren were absolute delights to work with, couldn't ask for kinder vendors! Thank you for making our special day even more special!

A Wandering Fire was the perfect wedding caterer! We ordered an antipasti buffet, salad, and (of course) pizza through them for our big day. Not only were Maren, Sean, and their team absolutely wonderful to work with before and on our wedding day, we have also received raving reviews from our guests about the food they provided. If you are looking for an alternative option to traditional wedding food, I would recommend you look no further.

The team was so incredibly kind and warm to all of our guests and brought a fantastic energy to the groom’s dinner! They were extremely organized and set up, cooked, and cleaned up flawlessly and timely. The Kirk pizza was the best pizza I’ve had in my life! 10/10 would want to have an event with them again. They even boxed up extra pizzas for us as takeaways!

Sean and Maaren are amazing people! We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and they were nothing but accommodating. The appetizers, especially the pickled grapes, were a hit. People have told us that it was the best pizza they had. Guests were able to watch as their food was being made, and there were options for gluten free and dairy free. We will definitely be using them for future catering needs!

WOW!!! Amazing food and super friendly staff. Maaren nailed it and was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. They have so many fun pizza flavors that I would of never thought to put together. She returned calls quickly as well as emails. We got so many compliments on the food and everyone got plenty. Everything is decently priced and you get 2 pizzas to go at the end of the night for a late night snack. I would definitely recommend A Wandering Fire for your next event.

A Wandering Fire just catered our wedding and everything went great! The pizzas were so different and a big hit with everyone. Maaren was easy to work with and took care of everything. We also had several family members that are gluten free that were very pleased with having a gluten free pizza crust option. 10/10, would recommend!

A Wandering Fire catered my wedding, and I was absolutely blown away with how amazing it was. My wife is vegan, and Maaren was open to trying new ingredients and recipes for us, and even traveled to Minneapolis to pick up an order of vegan ingredients for us. Everything that we discussed leading up to the wedding was delivered with perfection. We couldn't have been more happy!
