Abacus is a wonderful team to work with. They were accommodating to some last minute changes and extremely thoughtful in their work. We had a great time doing formal and candid shots. Very excited to see the final product, the images sent over already are beautiful!

Best decision we ever made for our wedding on May 13 2023 was to hire Abacus Studio for videography and photography. Alex is great and always communicated with me as our wedding day got closer and even after the wedding regarding our wedding photos. As someone who is camera shy, the photographer Doug and videographer Mike made me feel so comfortable! Thank you Abacus Studios for capturing our memorable moments!!

We had Doug & Mike photograph our wedding and they did an absolutely incredible job. Our photos are spectacular. They were early, and professional; we even received our photos less than a month after our wedding. We are so happy with the whole Abacus Photography team. Absolutely phenomenal service throughout the entire process. Alex communicated with us in advance about all of our preferences and made sure to send us great offers for add-ons if we decided we needed it. On the day of, we worked with Douglas (Doug) who was simply incredible. He worked to get tons of pictures before the ceremony to give us a chance to mingle during cocktail hour while he also got some great photos of our special guests. He posed us in great positions and in front of great scenery — a complete expect in getting great shots. He worked so hard for such a long time and when we got our pictures it was so clear that not only does he know what he’s doing but he’s also so dedicated in capturing the beauty and joy of the special day. We truly could not be happier with our pictures.. and we have Alex, Doug and Abacus Studios in general to thank for that! Totally recommend them!!

Alex and all of the staff at Abacus have been amazing and so accommodating! They have been with us through 5 postponements and 2 weddings due to Covid and we couldn’t be happier with their professionalism, responsiveness and commitment to us. It has been very stressful to plan a wedding throughout the pandemic but they have been so easy to work with and always so responsive to any needs or questions we had. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding October 8th 2021. We had 3 date changes and finally made it happen. Alex was amazing with the changes and my many questions I had. The photographer and videographer were east to talk and very friendly with everyone even the kids. They made our day extra special!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company! We booked them in 2019 for our original June 2020 wedding date, and were so impressed by Alex’s (owner) kindness, organization, and super quick follow up to every question we sent his way (which was a lot!). He also made the one year covid postponement process a breeze, which was so appreciated during that stressful rescheduling period. Juan Carlos (JC) was our wedding photographer and he was amazing! My now husband I are usually self-conscious in photos, but JC had a way of putting us at ease and making the experience so fun. He had a great eye for capturing beautiful shots, shared some of what he was taking with us throughout the day, and was great at giving direction when needed. We also loved his positive and happy energy!

We had a great experience with Abacus Photography. From the quick responses during booking and answering any questions we had before the wedding. On the day, Doug arrived early and took a large variety of amazing photos. He was clear with his directions for poses and open to any ideas that we suggested. The best people to work with! Abacus Studios has been great to work with. Alex will work with your budget, and make sure you get all that you want for your wedding. I could call him anytime with a question and spend a half an hour just talking. It was like having a friend do your photography. JC was our photographer the day of the wedding and he was on point! Got great shots of us and our family and was willing to photograph anything-even me with my dress on my head while my bridesmaids were trying to bustle my dress. Our big reception is next year, and already booked Abacus to continue the photo shoot, and we have requested JC. Highly recommend this photographer!!

From the first call to Alex withoutout meeting and picking our package leading up to the wedding day, the process was just EASY ! Booking Abacus as our photography studio was hands down the easiest part of planning. I scheduled a meeting with the owner Alex and he answered all of my questions and helped me come up with a package to fit our budget. I knew we would he in great hands with any of his photographers. He paired us with JC by my request after looking at his portfolio online. On the day of our wedding JC was amazing. He gave us a lot of ideas for some shots that turned out great! Bridal party jumping in the air and my husband dipping me for a kiss were 2 shots we wouldn't have thought of on our own. JC has great energy and a really good eye for capturing these special moments. Thank you Abacus!

Hiring Abacus Studios was the best decision we could have made, Doug, Dennis, and Mike did an amazing job capturing every single shot i had in mind! Our photos came out so beautiful! My husband and I wanted someone who was reasonable and their work was good. Abacus Studios is the best. We used them for our wedding. Hosted our wedding on 8/24/19 at Il Villaggio in Carlstadt, NJ. Our photographer was Juan Carlos (JC). JC was truly a blessing, a gift from God. That may sound grandiose, but I want you to understand how truly impacted my husband and I were after having him as our photographer. JC arrived early to our hotel to set up and confirm all details for the day. He was full of energy, life, and passion the ENTIRE 10 hours! JC was EXACTLY what we were looking for in a photographer. He was not only taking photos, he was our second Maitre D, always making sure we had everything we needed while making us smile laugh and feel like a King and Queen. I have been to a lot of weddings in my day, and I can say I have never seen a better photographer than JC. Absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait to get access to our online gallery and see all of the wonderful pics he took. Priceless. Thank you, JC, and Abacus studios for making this the best day of our lives!

My fiancée and I had the best experience with Abacus Studios during our engagement shoot. Doug was our photographer and he was very knowledgeable and professional. Doug suggested Colonial Park in Franklin, NJ and it was perfect. We are so happy with our pictures because they came out perfect. Overall, it was a great experience and we are very confident that we chose the right photographer to capture our special day.

My husband and I had a hard time finding someone who was reasonable and their work was good. I had originally was going to go with someone else until I found Alex and his group. I cannot tell you how comfortable they made us feel. Alex right from the start was great, he explained everything to us and even worked with our budget. We ended up going with Alex and his photographers and have not for one minute regretted the decision. Not only was he responsive and attentive, but he was patient. I was somewhat of a neurotic bride and he just talked me through each and every step. His photographers are professional and kind and truly the best of the best. We had both a photo and video package! We had Doug and Joseph on photos and they were truly amazing. We also had John on video and he truly kept me calm and smiling through the whole thing. he just kept saying things to make me smile and laugh and I have no doubt he is the reason the video is going to be amazing!! We hired abacus for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier with their amazing service and work!! Alex answered every question or inquiries I had with in minutes of me reaching out and was just a pleasure to work with!Our wedding day photos and video came out beautifully! All of our guests commented on how skilled both Doug and Michael were. They captured every special moment and meet us comfortable on a day full of emotions! Alex (the owner) from Abacus studios was great! He was super responsive to all of our emails, questions and requests. Abacus also provides a helpful work sheet so your photographer can understand what kind of images you are looking for. (For example - We requested a b&w/ silhouette shot and we got it). There is also a work sheet for the video portion which included requests for background songs. Alex was able to work with us and our budget and we were able to get exactly what we wanted and more - his understanding and assistance during less than ideal circumstances is something we're so grateful for. For our day of shooter we chose JC! We loved his sample album and the shots he took. He really utilizes all areas of a space (venue/church/etc). He also speaks Spanish which was helpful for my new family. =) JC took some amazing color photos, knew which images to put into B&W and was creative despite the fact that it was RAINING HEAVILY ALL DAY!!! As we walked back to our limo he had me hold the skirt of my dress while my husband held an umbrella and got a kissing shot. He also took advantage of the pillars outside of the church. Before moving from one shoot to another JC always asked if we were happy with what we did or if we wanted more. Our videographer was great and not at all invasive. I nearly forgot he was there at times. The video and images are available on the Abacus website (password protected) thumb drive and CD - which are sent right to your house. You will not be disappointed with Abacus! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! J&A

We planned our court house wedding in about 2 weeks and Alex was very accommodating. His dedication to his customers' satisfaction is made apparent by the professionalism and amount of communication he provides. He was able to secure our spot in a timely fashion. Leading up to the wedding, we emailed back and forth. We were able to send him a few inspiration shots we saw online so that our photographer, Doug, could capture the style and moments that were important to us. On the day of, Doug arrived early and started taking photos right away. He made sure that we got all of the family shots that we wanted and captured the essence of our relationship as husband and wife. Alex at Abacus Studios and his entire team are hands down ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We first heard about Abacus Studios through a close friend. Alex was very responsive to my initial questions & pricing was within our budget, so my husband and I decided to meet with him. We were very impressed with everything. He showed us all the different options & services they provided and discussed cost and what each package would entail. Alex was also very accommodating as we had to bring our young daughter to the meeting, which was a huge plus for us. We decided to go with photography & the photo booth. We then met Doug, our photographer, for our engagement shoot. We found a park & hockey rink not too far out from where we live to do the pictures at. Doug got some amazing shots. Alex kept in touch as we were planning our wedding, he answered whatever questions came up during the process. A week or so before the wedding, Doug called and verified times & addresses to ensure he had everything written down. He got so many amazing pictures the day of our wedding. He perfectly captured my husband and our daughters “first look” as well as some amazing candid pictures. The photo booth was a big hit with everyone at our reception. We received our online gallery about a week after our wedding & the high resolution images on a USB two and a half weeks after our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Abacus Studios to everyone.

Alex and his team are awesome!! My husband and I got married on 9/21/18 and I was so impressed with the service I received from this studio. From the beginning Alex was more than helpful when it came to helping us arrange our timeline for the wedding day. Doug was our main photographer who did our engagement shoot and wedding and his team and videographer were just as great. PLUS we received our pictures and raw video less than 2 weeks after the wedding. And they were beautiful.

Abacus Studios was great! We had 2 photographers and a videographer. From the very first contact with Alex through the process he was warm, friendly, professional and answered all my questions promptly and expertly. The day-of was smooth and the photographers were great. We didn’t even know they were there. We are very pleased with our photos. We would have liked some more formal shots of us as well as more of ones of us with our guests. They also did a lot of shots from straight on and underneath which made a lot of the candid shots of us not as flattering as they could have been if they had been shot from a higher angle. We also didn’t have any photos of late in the evening of the dessert area. We got our proofs within 2 weeks- super prompt and professional. So all in all I would highly recommend them- they were excellent!!!!

my Husband and I got married this past saturday 8/18/2018. We used Abacus studios for our photographer ams videographer needs. We had Doug and John, they were both amazing! Alex the owner is so down to earth! I would highly recommend them.

I highly recommend using these guys for your wedding. My wedding was June 9th 2018 and Alex was on the scene for the whole year plus of planning. Any questions we had were answered quickly. He was always so very kind and helpful with everything. He set up the photo booth and made sure we were all set with the videographer. Doug was our photographer and he was such a joy to work with. We first met doing an engagement shoot summer of 2017. We really enjoyed getting to know him and working with him. By the time our wedding came around, he was very comfortable with us and knew what we wanted. I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, grade A group of people. Book them while you can!

My husband and I had a great experience using Doug from Abacus Studios. He made sure to get all of the photos that we had requested, and he also was great with posing everyone during the formal photos, which is good because we had no idea how to stand some of the time. He got some great candid shots during the wedding and reception that we will cherish forever. We also loved having the photo booth at our reception, everyone took a turn, even my husband's grandma took a few turns. Alex was very responsive with our questions whenever we reached out and helpful throughout the process. However, our contract had many misspellings and each time we got an invoice, the numbers were incorrect and we had to reach out to have the numbers corrected. This was very frustrating as we had to keep a close eye to make sure we were paying the correct amounts each time, and we already had enough on our plates with the wedding planning. Then, when we got our DVDs with the pictures, the letter had a different couple's name and photographer name, so we quickly checked the DVDs to make sure they were our pictures, which luckily they were. While it was only a simple error, it is a level of unprofessionalism that makes you feel as if you are just a form letter instead of a client. Overall, our experience was good and we are extremely happy with our pictures and with how the day went. Thank you Abacus Studios and Doug!

My fiancée and I had the greatest experience with Abacus Studios during our engagement photos. Doug was great and very flexible. We had our engagement photos at liberty state park (in which we were not familiar with the area) and Doug helped us with directions while we were driving to the location. We were also late and Doug had no problem waiting for us as we sat in traffic. He was very knowledgeable of the best places to take pictures and what poses looked beat and our engagement pictures came out flawless. You will not find a better photographer☺️. I highly recommend them.

We recently had our engagement photo session with Doug and the shots were wonderful! He knew how to have us pose and the angles and background came out amazing. We didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable during any shots, it looked very natural in the pictures. We are really impressed and are looking forward to our wedding day with Abacus for both photography and videography!

We just got married this past Saturday, and used Abacus for our photography, video, and photo booth. We could not have been more happy with our choice!!! Alex was our point of contact. He was quick to respond, extremely friendly, and very helpful. He even acted as our photo booth attendant, and our guests had a great time! Michelle took amazing photos, which we just got to see today. They took my breath away, and I couldn't stop smiling looking through them! John was our videographer. I was recently married on 11.24.17 and my husband and I could not have felt more comfortable with leaving such an important part of our wedding in the hands of Abacus Studios. Rewinding about two years prior we had engagement photos done with Michele. She is fabulous. We did them at Watchung Reservation. It was almost like hiking with another one of our bestfriends. She was so good capturing us and our dog so that we could use them for save the dates. For the wedding Michele called about a week prior letting me know she looked through all my pinterest boards and lists on exactly what we wanted. The day of the wedding she showed up prompt and excited to photograph our day. She is more then just a photographer. More like another bridesmaid. There was a mishap with my dress and one of the clips broke. She was there with my mom holding my dress together while my mom sewed it together. No other photographer would probably be there to help like that. At the church she made taking photos after the ceremony a breeze so we could quickly be on our way to our venue. She is simply amazing. Was able to capture the entire day and I only needed one photographer. She even stayed past her 8hr call because the cake cutting didnt happen yet. She is over the top amazing and Abacus studios should be your top choice for your wedding and other photo needs. Our wedding photos we received about ten days after the wedding which is very prompt. They are also local. Alex who owns the company is fabulous as well. Very very personable and responds quickly to emails and phone calls. Literally any concern we had was taken care of in a timely manner. Highly Highly Recommend

Abacus Studio was/is amazing! We had Michelle as our photographer, we've never met her prior to our wedding day but we felt as if we've known her for years. She also was a life saver for my zipper on my wedding dress and my husband's shoe laces. The best part was within a week after our wedding, abacus studio sent the digital copy of all our pictures. They look amazing!

Abacus was amazing from start to finish! Alex was excellent to work with in planning for the big day. Michelle was an absolutely amazing photographer, and she was even super helpful with getting ready. I felt like she was one of my bridesmaids! The photos came out unbelievably beautiful. We had a wedding at the Jersey shore, and the beach shots are exactly what I imagined! I cannot say enough good things about this photography group!

I would highly recommend using Abacus Studios for your photos. I was very impressed so far with the process. Their responsiveness to questions by answering emails and phone calls. The flexibility when it came to payment and making later appointments to accommodate our work schedules. They were willing to work with my fiancé and I spending additional time to capture our vision. They are very knowledgeable and very family oriented. Doug came up with great ideas where we should take the photos. He was earlier than our appointment and made sure we got some great shots. Doug was great taking pictures with my family. My daughter is almost 4 years old and it's hard to always capture her attention. His patience with her was great. I used this company for my wedding. From start to finish I was very pleased with my choice. I met with Alex to book. He was very accommodating to my needs. I had John and Doug for my photography and videography package. Both called me two days prior to the wedding to confirm times and locations as well as talk about any ideas I had. The day of they were there capturing the moments but were not in the way. I received my pictures online within a week of the wedding. I can not want to see the sneak peek of the video. I would highly recommend this company.

We just recently had our engagement photo shoot (11/4/17) with Michelle and my fiance and I cannot say enough great things about how the day went! Michelle was friendly and funny right from the get go. She made us feel 100% comfortable the entire time, and we just had a blast with her. Michelle was extremely creative with the different poses she had us do, and with the different spots within our venue to take photos. We did our engagement shoot at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ, which is a huge place and Michelle took her time with each photo and had no problem with walking around the grounds trying to find all the good spots for photos. She was extremely patient and thorough. I highly, highly recommend using Abacus Studios as your engagement/wedding photographer. They definitely do not disappoint! :) Also, I need to commend Alex, as well for his work with us. When we first met with him, he was extremely friendly and thorough with explaining all the different packages and everything Abacus Studios has to offer. He has answered every phone call and email right away and has always answered all questions. Again, I definitely recommend using Abacus Studios! :)

I cannot say enough great things about Abacus Studios! Alex, the manager of the studio, is a great communicator, extremely friendly, and provides top-notch customer service every step of the way. We elected to have both the photography and videographer package which was provided to us at a very reasonable rate compared to other vendors. Alex was very flexible and made every effort to work with our budget. He even agreed to match another vendor’s offer which we were extremely appreciative of. Michelle was our photographer on the day of our wedding. Everyone loved her and kept talking about how awesome she was! She took amazing pictures and made everyone in the bridal party and our families feel at ease. She made sure to get all of my requested photos and we have endless beautiful shots to choose from for our album. We received a link to our online picture gallery and got a dvd of our images in the mail within 2 weeks after our wedding – very fast and efficient! John was our videographer – he was very non-intrusive and I hardly noticed he was even videotaping! I can’t wait to get the edited DVD! I’m so happy we chose Abacus studios as our photographer/videographer vendor! I highly recommend them to everyone!

When we first met Alex, the owner of Abacus Studios, we were impressed not only with the quality of his studio’s work, but also with his enthusiasm, warmth, and sincerity in working with our budget. We have booked Abacus Studios for our wedding's photography, videography, and photo booth. As part of our package, we received a free engagement photography session. Doug, the photographer who took our engagement pictures, likewise gave great service and guidance. He suggested the place where we ultimately would have our engagement pictures taken, after learning that we were originally planning to have it somewhere that would charge us a fee. The venue that he suggested was a beautiful park with a botanical garden, bridge, and other spots that made for amazing pictures. It was everything that we could have wanted, and it did not cost anything. Through Doug’s eye and guidance, he got us into many different poses that felt natural. We have gotten so many compliments on the pictures from our engagement session that we now have the “problem” of choosing which ones to use for our Save the Dates. And of course, we are asking Alex and his team to design these Save the Dates, as we know that we are getting amazing value at a great price. We highly recommend Abacus Studios, and are looking forward to working with Alex, Doug, and the team for our wedding this July!

My husband and I DEFINTIELY recommend using Abacus Studios as your wedding photography vendor. We got married at the Crystal Plaza on September 22, 2017. We selected Abacus studios for our photographers after sitting with Alex, he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and really made us feel comfortable. We weren’t 100% sure what we wanted in terms of photography package and he was awesome in talking through all the options! We ended up going with their Deluxe Photo Package and booking our photo booth with them as well as engagement photos. Throughout the whole process Alex and his team were extremely responsive to all our questions! Both Michelle and Lynette were amazing! From the time they each arrived to the end they had great idea and vision for our photos and were efficient with our time throughout the day. We just got the preview for our photos and they are AWESOME! It is impossible to select our favorite, they are really beautiful, but also capture the personalities of our family and friends and how wonderful the whole day was. We can’t wait to get our prints!!

My husband and I got married on August 11, 2017 and we chose Abacus Studios to capture the moment and we don't regret it one bit. They provided A1 service through the entire process. We met Alex back in January and he welcomed us with open arms. He made us feel so comfortable and he did not pressure us to book with him which we liked. He took some amazing shots at the house. John captured all our special moments via video and he did a wonderful job. We returned from our 10 day honeymoon and received our CD with photos in the mail now that is fast service. You will not be disappointed with Abacus Studios. Highly recommended!

We used Abacus for our July wedding. We booked them far in advance and took advantage of their offer for free engagement photos also. Our photographer was Doug, and he did a great job. He sent us an email link of our pictures from both events within 10 days, and we later received a CD copy that allowed us to print our own pictures. He took a ton of great pictures so we had quite a large selection to pick from! Doug was professional and took all of the specific shots we asked for. He also accommodated our preferred location for first look photos, and was very efficient in getting our photos done before the ceremony so we could enjoy the rest of our day.

Alex and his team really impressed us throughout the process. Not only did they capture every special moment but they made us feel like we were absolute rockstars!
