Hello beautiful people! Thank you for taking the time to come to my page. I am originally from San Luis Obispo, CA and moved to Spokane, WA to attend Gonzaga University and play D1 tennis. After graduating I played tennis professionally for 3 years where I got to travel around the world playing the sport I love. Since retiring I have been working for a start-up company called Extra Mile Institute that focuses on personal well-being and mental performance for high performers. Hiring Above and Beyond Events was the best decision I made during my wedding planning process. Sophie helped me coordinate everything, leaving me less stressed throughout. Bri was THE BEST day of coordinator I could have ever asked for. She helped set everything up exactly how I imagined and she ensured the entire day was absolutely perfect. I don’t think a lot of brides can say this but: I truly mean it when I say my wedding day was PERFECT, I was not stressed at all. I was able to focus on enjoying myself, not worrying about anything because of Bri! She was truly amazing. She really was there for me and I am incredibly grateful. I would HIGHLY recommend their services.

I'm a wedding floral designer and have done multiple weddings with Sophie. As a fellow vendor, I really appreciate her professionalism, organization, and calm demeanor, especially when it's stressful. Our first wedding together, it was 100+ degrees outside and even with the heat, she kept everything running smoothly. I highly recommend hiring her for your event! Sophie was everything I could have hoped for and more!!! We hired Sophie for day of coordination. Sophie planned out our entire timeline, provided options and ideas for things to do during the reception and helped us keep on track the day of! She went above and beyond what I expected, contacted all our vendors and officiant prior to the wedding and coordinated their deliveries and timelines into the master timeline that she made. Sophie decorated items that we didn’t have the time to decorate, she ensured flowers were delivered to the appropriate parties as well as hand delivering gifts. Sophie really kept everyone in line and made sure everyone was on time. She was such a blessing even transferring all our items from one room to another and helped clean up afterwards. I am so incredibly happy with hiring Sophie and I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Sophie and Hailey were an amazing addition to our wedding day. I wasn’t planning on hiring a wedding coordinator I was confident I could make the timeline myself and and have a family friend or someone make sure everything got done. As the day got closer I realized how nice it would be to not be in charge of all of that and have it just get done. I also wanted to make sure that my family and wedding party weren’t spending the whole day working and got to enjoy themselves too. That’s exactly what happened for us. Leading up to the wedding I worked with Sophie to come up with a timeline and what was going to need to happen with setting up. Hailey arrived in the morning and knew just what to do! The way she set everything up looked like it came straight from my Pinterest board it was amazing. She was always there when we needed her but also somehow got everything done behind the scenes. It was like magic haha! I couldn’t imagine our big day without these two. I would 100% recommend Above and Beyond events.

It’s hard to put into words the gratitude we have for Sophie!! She played a huge part in making our wedding absolutely perfect. No ask or task was too big, she is incredibly organized and detailed, and so so helpful. We were able to hand off our decor and have her set everything up exactly the way we envisioned (if not better!). During the planning process, she helped make sure every detail and all logistics were not forgotten. She coordinated with all our vendors and made sure they were taken care of. The list goes on of all the amazing things she did and helped with!!

I truly don’t know where to start. Sophie was phenomenal. I found her through this website and once I talk to her over the phone, I knew I wanted to work with her. She was very responsive and made my wedding day stress-free. Sophie took care of everything I needed during my wedding day. I would highly recommend her. My family was very impressed with her. Sophie was incredible. I had a lot of questions leading up to the wedding and she had answers for all of them. She was very communicative and had a clear timeline for events for the wedding but also for what she would be completing ahead of time. During the rehearsal and wedding day I was able to completely enjoy myself and Sophie handled it all behind the scenes. Everyone came up to me after and told me how amazing she was. I cannot recommend Sophie and her company enough.

From my very first call with Sophie to the final moments of our wedding day, I was absolutely blown away by her attention to detail, professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for her clients. Her business name, Above & Beyond Events, truly says it all—Sophie goes above and beyond in every aspect of her work.
Our wedding at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane last week went off without a hitch. I TRULY cannot imagine what would have happened if we didn't hire her. My now husband and I ordered flowers from Costco and brought in all of our own decor, but in the chaos of the week, I completely forgot to check if the flowers were in water. When I went to the ballroom, I realized they weren’t, and I panicked. I texted Sophie, and she offered to come all the way downtown to pick them up, store them at her house from Thursday until the wedding day, and then bring them back perfectly fresh. That was far beyond what I ever expected. Myself, my husband, and our family and friends were all incredibly impressed by her dedication.
Sophie ran everything with flawless execution and organization, staying cool as a cucumber even in moments when I wasn’t as organized. I would recommend her to literally anyone planning a wedding. She truly feels like a friend now—she even comforted me on the phone when I cried about something silly. Sophie was a pro tennis player, and her commitment to excellence shines through in everything she does. She is not only a fantastic wedding planner but also a wonderful person. HIRE HER!

The name "Above and Beyond Events" is truly a perfect fit to describe Sophie's approach to the Day-of-Coordinator (DOC) role. My wife and I were nervous about hiring a DOC as our wedding was 100% DIY. This meant we needed to provide Sophie with a slue of weird directions; everything for setting up and managing the audio equipment for our event to helping to build the outdoor kitchen our caterer needed to use for our event. Sophie truly went above and beyond at every step of this process. From visiting the audio rental store a few days before the event to learn about the technology, to calling our DJ what seemed like 57,000 times before getting a response; Sophie was an amazing worker and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We could not believe how easy Sophie made things at every turn. Sophie did not stop working for our ENTIRE event, solving problems, being proactive, and just being so positive and uplifting to everyone in every moment. Sophie is a gift to her clients and really made a world of difference during our complicated wedding. This review and "5 stars" does not even come close to capturing our gratitude for Sophie. Please do yourself a favor and book this baddie for your event. You will be grateful you did. THANK YOU, SOPHIE!!! <3

Wow, Sophie from Above and Beyond Events was AMAZING, she was INSTRUMENTAL in the success of the best day of my life, my wedding!
First, if you are debating getting a coordinator, GET ONE.
Sophie did EVERYTHING from setting up tables, decorations, helping with questions, helping the groomsmen with final looks, helping with the DJ, caterer, photographer, videographer, event venue owners, EVERYTHING. Even CLEANUP!!!!
She was so sweet, understanding, and caring too.
They helped with seating, some family issues, and when it started raining before the ceremony she calmed us and quickly moved the seating to the covered area.
She helped answer our questions. She eased our anxieties.
Above and Beyond Events was the best purchase of our entire wedding.
Again, if you are debating getting a coordinator, get one! And get this coordinator, you will NOT regret.

Sophie was the best wedding coordinator we could’ve asked for. She handled and communicated with all of the vendors before, during, and after the wedding, made sure the timing of events ran smoothly, and went above and beyond her contracted duties to make sure the day was a success. When our florist did not set up the flowers, Sophie stepped up and did it all herself as well as much of the other decor. She can do it all. She was patient, professional, thoughtful, and helpful. Our parents loved her and the venue raved about her as well. We recommend Sophie to anyone looking for a planner or coordinator.

I don’t even know where to start with explaining how AMAZING Sophie was! My whole family will not stop talking about how perfect our wedding went because of her specifically! She was so on top of EVERYTHING! She was communicative leading up to the wedding, the moment we talked on the phone I knew she was our day of coordinator. She was so kind and did not appear to be stressed at all! She was so incredibly calm and organized, I did not hear about a single thing my entire wedding because of her. Our venue only allowed an hour for set up and Sophie was on top of it, she set everything up with time to spare. Everything was more than I imagined because of her! There were things I didn’t have instruction for like our dessert table and pictures and she set it all up beautifully! She even took our dog the entire night, made sure he was fed and had water. I highly recommend Sophie, you can tell she’s experienced and passionate about this job. She made us feel so special and like we’ve known her forever. Hire her today before she’s booked out for your wedding date!

My husband and I highly recommend Above and Beyond Events! We coordinated with Sophie and Bri and they were both fantastic to work with. Bri was in charge of our day of wedding coordination and she made the best day of our life run extremely smoothly. She is calm, proactive and was able to problem solve quickly when small challenges with venders took place. She jumped right in and did an incredible job organizing all the moving pieces that take place on a wedding day. We were able to immerse ourselves completely into our wedding day and Bri even saved us a bunch of dessert so we could snack post wedding! WOW, cannot say enough good things about Sophie at Above and Beyond events!! She blew everyone away with her self-starter/ can-do attitude. Came day of prepared and ready to work her magic! Sophie did an exceptional job of coordinating and carrying out our wedding reception plans. She communicated well, gave us helpful recommendations during the planning phase, and interacted smoothly and professionally with the wedding venue and other vendors. Working with her allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the wedding day, knowing that she was able to handle any surprises that came up. After our event, the manager of the band said he had never seen a wedding coordinator do such an amazing job of keeping the ceremony on track with the schedule. Sophie did an amazing job!! We did the month of package and she did a great job of reaching out once we were a month away and setting up a meeting to take over everything. She made the day of the wedding completely seamless and I (the bride) did not have to answer a single question or worry about anything. I was truly stress free which is the best gift I received! She also took on responsibilities such as being MC as we had a band and not a DJ. Everybody says something will go wrong on your wedding day but we cannot think of anything that went wrong and we have Sophie to thank for that! I am so incredibly grateful for Sophie! I have been so many weddings when the day of wedding coordinator does not do anything and called and asked the bride questions on her wedding day when she is such trying to enjoy the day. Sophie came in and was organized, calm and ready to get things done. She was patient, she worked well with vendors to figure out issues, she did great under pressure and she stuck to the schedule. She was enthusiast and she was willing to help with anything and everything. She went completely out of her way to make the day extra special for me and my husband.
