About this vendor
Congratulations on falling in love and deciding to make it a forever thing. It's always a good idea to say yes to love, and New Orleans is the place to wear your heart prominently stitched on your sleeve.
Whether you want to get hitched in the middle of a Second Line parade or waltz in a traditional Cajun wedding march, Ace Hotel New Orleans is a place for it all. Our Barnett Event Complex offers a collection of spaces that can be combined or separated in a myriad of ways - just as suited for intimate gatherings as for grand, raucous receptions.
LOCATION
Ace Hotel New Orleans site on the corner of Carondelet and Lafayette street in the Warehouse District in one of the best cities on earth. Housed in a 1928 Art Deco building, the historic nine-story building stood as Barnett's Furniture Store until the 1970s and now stands as homage to New Orleans' intrepid spirit of joie de vivre and community. Like the city itself, Ace is infused with disparate inspirations, with design elements inspired by Paris, the 1920s, Art Deco, and gothic light, with thoroughly considered modern details and warm spaces.
A short walk to the French Quarter, we're close to art galleries and shopping, museums, and restaurants, and you can see Mardi Gras parades if you crane your neck. But with oysters and cocktails at Seaworthy, handmade pasta at Josephine Estelle, live music at our venue Three Keys, and a rooftop pool and lounge, it's okay if you and yours never want to leave.
FACILITIES AND CAPACITY
Weddings in New Orleans are particularly special. There's something profoundly magical about saying "I Do" in the Crescent City, and our event spaces are emblematic of New Orleans' ineffable spirit of love and perpetual celebration. Totaling over 10,700 sq ft we've carved out a collection of intimate nooks to suit every party's needs with Art Deco detailing throughout, amenities aplenty, and perfectly low lights to set the mood.

This hotel is so incredibly unique with one of the BEST mass catering chefs I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! Our guests continue to rave about the venue and the food. We are from Chicago and wanted to throw a wedding in New Orleans as it holds a special place in our heart. This was one of the few venues that could accommodate 100+ guests and do a seated plated dinner. The venue itself is magical with an industrial eclectic feel. We were able to have a dance/dinner area with two bars and used the dining room and courtyard for a cigar bar/lounge allowing our guests to break away from the loud music for more intimate conversations. The staff was so accommodating and handling any problems or questions we had immediately. Ayanna (our POC) was the MVP and I truly believe without her our wedding would not have gone as smoothly! We are so grateful to the ACE for our incredible wedding.
My daughter’s wedding reception was held at the Ace on April 8, 2022. All I can say is WOW!! What an absolute spacious perfect place for a reception! The Barnett Hall is huge! It’s clearly large enough for a ceremony but she chose a church for that part.
We had a live band, 4 bars, Plum Street Snoball, and approximately 250 guests. There was plenty of room for everything! The staff was extremely accommodating with the day of timing to get all the outside vendors set up.
The night of the celebration was fabulous! The staff was very attentive and made sure all our needs and our guests needs were met. The food from The Josephine Estelle was phenomenal.
We could not have chosen a more perfect venue! The entry to the wedding is a beautiful old New Orleans brick courtyard next to Seaworthy restaurant. The ambiance of the lighting led the way to a spectacular night and lifelong memories!
We had our March 2022 wedding at the Ace Hotel. Everything turned out better than I could have imagined. The Ace went the extra mile with everything, the decor, the food, the service. Everything was just perfect. The staff was so wonderful, helpful, and friendly. They definitely had my husband and I feeling like the V.I.P.s and our guests feeling special as well. We rented the Barnett Dining Room for our ceremony and then flipped it for our reception along with the Barnett Courtyard and the Music Room. The flow between the three spaces worked really well, and it had the perfect moody, artistic, and classic New Orleanian vibe. We also took beautiful photos around the venue (without disturbing guests of course) that I will cherish forever. It was my dream wedding. I cannot recommend the Ace Hotel enough! They were great to work with and very accommodating. Extra special shout out to Torri who was our point of contact for all of the planning there.
Wow. I can't even put into words how amazing the ACE was.
Our wedding attendees rented about 90 rooms, we had our welcome party at the event space and our post-wedding brunch there as well. It was THE PERFECT venue and the event coordinator team - Brenda S and Tori R - 100% executed my vision and layout. Not a SINGLE flaw. Absolutely stunning. I couldn’t believe it.
We had a 200 person count and 90 rooms: all of our guests couldn’t stop raving - The rooms feel more like vibey lounges than hotel rooms. All the public spaces were so cool too - it was a perfect hub. After our events ended, people couldn’t go have dinner at Josephine park Estelle or seaworthy, party on the rooftop or in three keys, or hang in the lounge and drink and party to the DJ.
Whoever designed this place really killed it. From the old brick textures to the modern amenities, the little details in every room like guitars and record players, the restaurant Josephine Estelle and the little coffee shop, the late-night dance parties and pool hangs - it was all just amazing.
Brenda, Torri and John were awesome and we would do all our events at the ace a thousand times if we could. Not a single complaint and for such a huge event with so many moving parts, that’s saying a lot.
The environment, design and vibe was better than anywhere we've ever stayed but really it was the staff that made it for us. Literally every person we met was so friendly, fun and helpful. Melanie at the front desk greeted us with the most amazing smile and good energy from the second we walked in the door. Shakita the manager made us newlyweds feel like we were her top priority and she had a vibe that was magnetic - was constantly helping us figure things out and making friends with our guests. Can't say enough good things about her. They need to make that woman a manager asap, she is the best front desk person we've ever met. Keke at the front desk also was so sweet and helpful. We saw some guy come bursting in all flustered about something unrelated to the hotel and she handled it with grace and patience. Very impressive. Also our guy Ti the valet was the man and always had our car there promptly and even helped us load up carts full of wedding gifts, suits and dresses.
I could just go on and on about this hotel. We will stay there every single time we come back to new orleans and are telling everyone we know to do the same. Much respect for the top-notch operation and thank you for hosting us on the best weekend of our lives. You delivered 10000%.
If you’re a type A neurotic bride looking for perfection in venue and accommodation - look no further.
We had our wedding at the Ace Hotel on October 2 and can’t say enough about how special the Ace Hotel and their staff made our wedding weekend. Against all odds, Hurricane Ida hit New Orleans a month before and Covid, they went over and beyond to make our wedding a wonderful success. Ryan and Bonnie did a great job working with us to get the day setup despite being displaced by the hurricane. They were present the day of to assure the setup went smooth and everything went off without a hitch. They handed it over to John who made sure the night went off flawlessly. The food was amazing and bartenders were amazing. Definitely make sure to include the short ribs on your menu. People are still talking about them. John assigned Jamie the sole responsibility to take care of us through the night and she did not disappoint. We were never without a full drink or a plate of food. Every time we turned around, she was right there making sure we had everything we needed to make this night special. I can’t say enough how great the night was for us and how it exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you to everyone at Ace for making this a great night for us and our entire party.
My wedding was October 2, 2021- this is an important part of the experience. 1 month before was hurricane ida (I live in Ca making communication with New Orleans very hard during that time. Covid, hurricane, distance, not easy equation for planning a wedding. There were mistakes made (it was a chaotic time) but mistakes are to be expected. Nothing goes 100% your way, especially when it comes to weddings. And it’s really about if your vendors right the wrong; and boy did they!!! I worked almost exclusively with Bonnie. She was the voice of truth, reason, and reassurance. From start to finish anytime I heard Bonnie’s voice and her opinion that it was 100% the right one. Bonnie was making contact with me via text when she literally had no power. I was always one of her top concerns, or at least she made me feel that way. But the wedding itself… I have done hundreds of weddings (hair and makeup) and really the venue was out of this world. The entire team (especially BONNIE) made my wedding so freaking cool!!!! The food was awesome, the service was AMAZING! (I never didn’t have a martini in my hand, followed by a water) I just cannot express the cool factor of this team and venue. Don’t be basic, choose the ace (and Bonnie) if you want to throw a party of a lifetime! Thank you so much Bonnie I love you!
We cannot say enough great things about the staff at the Ace Hotel New Orleans! We originally were to marry in May 2020 and had picked the Ace hotel as one of our top choices. After talking with the staff, we knew this was our spot and immediately made a room block there. Covid got in the way and they made moving our room block dates smooth and painless! We ended up moving our date 3 times. On top of that, they made sure our guests were taken care of with the highest service while booking and during their stay. Vicki, Brenda, Shakita, Ryan and the entire ACE Staff were exceptional! Hurricane Ida occurred during our stay and they went above and beyond to make us feel safe and prepared during the storm. We would highly recommend everyone stay here because of their phenomenal customer service and positive attitudes! Of course, the rooms are amazing, along with the restaurants and events they hold are a bonus on top too! We can’t wait to return. If there was a 6 star option, they would get it!
My wife and I decided that since one of our families would have to travel to either Los Angeles where I'm from or to Denver where she's from, we would take the opportunity to get married in New Orleans and force both families to travel. Why not?! It's always been a destination I've considered. Plus it gave everyone a great reason to book that first (semi)post-covid trip. The entire weekend was a beautiful stream of unforgettable memories. We owe it all to the staff! Planning a wedding via email is a bit of a leap of faith, but communication was easy. I'm a big fan of asking the experts for their opinions. The Ace team offered their experience every step of the way from room bookings to timing to menus. Most importantly was how flexible they were right up to the date. Unfortunately there was a surge in covid cases in the weeks before our wedding causing a few guests to drop out. I admit it spawned a few small anxiety attacks, until the Ace assured me the rooms could be cancelled and the plates adjusted. Once we checked in we felt immediate calm. The whole hotel knew who we were, constantly greeting us and checking in on us. The pool was an extra little oasis when we needed it. The convenient lobby bar was abused by my party. The coffee shop on property was a delicious daily meeting place for the families to plan out their days. There was an incredible Belgian cello player that happened to be performing at the hotel's venue Three Keys one night. On the wedding day, we had a personal events member team up with my best friend to turn their already elaborate, dark, sexy, candle-filled Barnett Dining Room into the gorgeous dinner party of our dreams. He was there all day, he counted down our entrance, and became such a friend by that point that he even took some candid camera phone photos of our second line march to add to our library! It was an all-in-one experience that left little for me to worry about.
When I tell you that the team at the Ace made my wedding dreams come true, I mean it. From start to finish, the team (shout-out to my Ace fairy godmothers Bonnie and Brenda) did everything they could to support my vision and make it a reality. My guests raved about the space, reception food, and service (like, RAVED) and their rooms were clean and beautifully prepared. Did I mention that we planned and executed everything in 2 weeks? I would recommend the Ace Hotel to anyone looking to have a stress-free and classy wedding. Can't wait to celebrate my anniversary there every year!
From the beginning of our interactions with the events and sales team at the Ace, we felt empowered to plan the wedding of our dreams. Planning a wedding during the height of the pandemic was one of the craziest times of my life, but Brenda, Bonnie, and Ace and Seaworthy team had our backs the whole way. They went out of their way to make our concerns and anxieties feel heard and to make our ever-shifting plans feel as steady as possible, even with the pandemic city and state regulations literally changing every hour. Even with everything hectic going on, Brenda and Bonnie helped us move forward with a sense of calm and diligence that only tried and true events professionals can provide.
Everything went off without a hitch thanks to the support of the Ace and their staff, all of whom were knowledgeable, consistent, accommodating, and compassionate toward myself and my partner, our vendors, and our guests. The health and safety of their staff and guests was always the foremost priority. The events team made my guests feel safe, relaxed, and able to fully enjoy themselves. Feedback from our guests were that they “felt like they were in a beautiful film” and that the “food was unbelievable, drinks were amazing—best wedding food” they’ve had.
Huge thanks and kudos to Bonnie for being a sounding board and an open-minded and creative thought partner. Heartfelt thanks and kudos to Brenda for her clarity, candor, and resilience. The folks we met on our wedding day (Josephine Estelle and Seaworthy staff especially Stephen, Ryan, Jack, and everyone at the front desk and security) made us feel extra special and cared for. They were incredibly warm and helpful, catering to our needs and the needs of our guests—helping us locate lost and misplaced items, and accommodating all our asks.
I cannot say enough good things about this venue and its people. From the flexibility of their event spaces to their delicious food & beverage program to their caring staff—our experience was excellent.
The Ace and their wonderful event staff made our wedding truly a special and memorable event despite the ongoing global pandemic. The fact that we were able to throw a super fun party in this climate where both staff and guests felt safe is a testament their time and care in making our wedding a reality. Whenever a new consideration or idea popped into our heads, Brenda and the rest of our contacts there were a quick phone call or email away and always responded promptly and with a matched enthusiasm. We cannot thank them enough for their time and hard work in making our event a reality and have gotten nothing but compliments from our family and friends who were able to attend, many saying it was such a reprieve from the daily grind of 2020 and so nice to feel just a bit "normal" and safe for an evening. We cannot thank the Ace enough for giving us this and we highly recommend them.
This venue was amazing and I am so happy I choose to have my ceremony and reception in the space. The staff were very transparent and informative throughout the entire process. They added on additional touches the day of the ceremony that they did not have to and went above and beyond. The venue had natural touches that made my wedding pictures pop. The food was amazing, all of my guest loved the food. I also recommend staying at the hotel for yourself and guest as it is beautiful with comforting amenities [roof top pool/bar and restaurant]. You will have no regrets if having your wedding here.
The ceremony and wedding reception were beautiful and the hotel/event staff were fantastic!
Cannot say enough good things about working with Ace Hotel New Orleans! I worked with their events team to plan a formal fundraising gala for a local organization with 250 guests. Their event coordinators and sales reps (Tey and Lindsey) were very responsive, helpful, and supportive. They always provided great guidance and kept the event logistics organized and on track. The venue is awesome, totally unique in New Orleans and very chic. Planning is very easy, as they offer chairs, tables, linens, overhead lighting, etc., and they provide great recommendations for vendors for other needs. We did a sit-down dinner, which was flawlessly coordinated by the kitchen, and everyone loved their food! They worked with us on the menu and customized it to exactly our budget and needs. Also, know that if you book your wedding here, you are supporting a business that truly gives back and supports the local New Orleans community. Highly recommend!
There are several portions of our experience with the Ace that I feel deserve their own reviews - as this was our ceremony/reception space, our caterer, and our hotel for the bridal party and guests.
Sales Team for the Hotel Block: Excellent. Tey and her team were always quick to answer my questions, quell my concerns, and make last-minute accommodations as they arose, even as I tried so hard to plan ahead. We got a great deal on the price of the rooms for this modern, hip hotel, in a great location in New Orleans on a holiday weekend.
Catering/Food: Very good. The food was excellent. We enjoyed our tasting experience and heard from so many of our guests how wonderful the food was. We even had a whole hog on display - our Cochon de Lait. The drinks were hit or miss. The beer selection was a little disappointing. We only had the option to served two beers. Luckily, they were local, good beers. But, we would've liked to have more options.
Events Manager - All in all, it was a good experience, and she was willing to do whatever she could to make our event exactly how we wanted.
Hotel Stay/Front Desk - This is where we had issues, hence the 3 stars. I would've liked to feel that the front desk was more accommodating to us and our guests, but we had many issues that proved the front desk team wasn't able to handle the influx of the holiday weekend. Even though we were hosting a wedding at their hotel, I felt my husband and I were treated by the hotel staff (not the events/sales team) like we were just another guest. My husband couldn't even check into our bridal suite, even though the credit card on file for the entire event was in his name. Small annoyances that ate up our weekend.
Honestly, our wedding week was absolutely amazing. In the days and weeks after the wedding, my husband and I haven't been able to stop talking about how perfect everything turned out. We even had guests come up to us during the reception and other wedding events to complement us on how unique to us our wedding was, how beautiful the spaces were, and even the food. No matter how perfect it turned out, in the 5 months prior to the wedding, my partner and I wished on countless occasions that someone had written an honest review of the Ace New Orleans before we decided on them. They were at best indifferent, forgetful, and unprofessional. At their worst, they were rude and unapologetic. As other reviews have noted, their promotional materials are completely inaccurate: they promise capacities nearly 40% larger than their actual capacity, they list amenities which at most are non-complementary or non-guaranteed. If that was the only inaccuracy, we would have been able to move on quickly. But at every stage of the process, we would discuss options with the management team, be offered a solution, only to be later told that they actually can't provide the solution they offered. It made for a vary frustrating wedding planning process. We loved our wedding at the Ace, but if you book with them do be prepared to line-by-line read contracts, re hash deals you have already made, remind them of terms in your written contract, and generally fight for what you want and what you were promised at booking. No other vendor (and we worked with several venues and 10+ other vendors for the wedding week events) provided such frustrating service. Bottom line: gorgeous common spaces (but smaller than advertised), be prepared to spend a lot of money to decorate event spaces because almost nothing is included except office chairs and folding tables, and be prepared to be very, very involved proofreading for changes your agreements.
