Kristin Wiseman and the whole team at Alderbrook were amazing. We loved every step of planning a wedding at Alderbrook. Not only is it a storybook venue that our guests are still raving about (and planning trips to go back) but the wedding couldn't have been better. They read my mind the entire weekend and handled everything flawlessly. My guests felt as pampered as we did! The food, cake, ambiance were perfection. Thanks Alderbrook for the wedding of our dreams!

Absolutely incredible wedding venue. Excellent service. They were so accommodating to us and our guests and truly went above and beyond. Having our wedding there was an excellent choice and I look forward to returning on our anniversaries to come!!

Alderbrook is a beautiful resort, very scenic and very high-quality when it comes to the accommodations, the food, and the overall atmosphere. We were thoroughly please with our selection to have our wedding here. We planned the wedding long-distance and relied heavily on email and phone communication with the Alderbrook staff and wedding coordinator. We were challenged with this at times when it took a week or more to hear back with answers to our questions. I think this communication should be improved as it caused stressed to us in our planning process. In the end, things went off without a hitch but it took a lot more work on my part to make sure everything was good to go. I give the resort for location and day-of service/professionalism, five stars. I give the lack of clear and prompt communication and challenges with the coordinating, three stars. So overall, four.

Alderbrook is was amazing! I am so glad we had our wedding there. It's an absolute gorgeous location for a wedding. The staff was very helpful during the entire process and very on top of things the day of. I would definitely recommend Alderbrook!

We did the elopement package for a small group of family to join us in our special day. The staff was so helpful in making sure things were set up to my liking. We had a room to get ready in and so did the guys, we were able to snap photos all around the beautiful site without trouble. Also the food in the restaurant is amazing!! We where able to have a private room for dinner with family and the cake the resort made was amazing to say the least. After the ceremony and vows we went out and enjoyed live music by the water. There was also a guest who did sail boat cruses on his ship and let us go aboard for some pictures, it was great. The flow of everything was wonderful and the staff was so helpful, we plan on going back every year for our Anniversary! (We had a group of 15 total and we paid for dinner/drinks/cake, also the room was included in our elopement package).

Although there were a couple of glitches, like a leaf blower early in the morning (10 am), overall Alderbrook is a complete winner. We loved the couples massage and the entire staff was courteous and professional.

We stayed at the Alderbrook Resort for one night of our honeymoon and I wish we had been able to spend more time there. The resort is beautiful and very romantic for a hotel. The rates can be high, but if you time it during one of their off months, you can get a reasonable deal.

amazinggg helpful and always want to help

I had been to a wedding at Alderbrook before, so I knew it was going to be the perfect place for us. It was absolutely gorgeous (we got lucky with the weather!), and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The only complaint was that they misplaced a couple of cases of my wine after the wedding - so instead of offer to ship it back to me (I live about 2+ hours away), I had to drive back the next weekend to pick it up. Minor issue - especially as it occurred after the wedding. Everything on the day of went off without a hitch.

My fiancee and I picked this location without even viewing other venue options. We were in love with it off the bat. During the planning process there were a few miscommunications on details but nothing that would have seriously effected the day overall and all corrections were made quickly and professionally. On the day of the wedding we were given such amazing help and support by all of the staff- catering dept, hotel staff- everyone. There were a few glitches that occured on our end with the cake and timing but the staff immediatly stepped in and helped fix and rearrange to make it work and not stand out to our guests. The resort was very accomodating in setting up, cleaning up and keeping track of our decorations and having private access till the next morning of the room my bridesmaids and I got ready in- so there was no rush that night to have to worry about cleaning anything up. My husband and I chose to stay the weekend in one of the parlor suites as our little time away before going back home and we were treated so well even after the ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend both Kristin and Amber in the catering dept for any assistance needed during the planning process or day of coordination. They were amazing women to work with and made the day super easy.

We happened to luck out with amazing weather but Alderbrook is such a beautiful place to begin with. Our outdoor wedding was everything I could have dreamed of. Our coordinator, Amy, took care of everything before, during and after. The food was amazing and everything happened smoothly and effortlessly. The staff was so friendly and the hotel accomodations were incredible. The bridal suite was AMAZING! Complete with chocolate strawberries for us to enjoy after our reception. Thank you Alderbrook!

The resort is absolutely beautiful and it is sitting in one of the most gorgeous locations in the state of Washington. We were lucky enough to get great weather, and it was just an absolutely perfect setting. There was so much for all of our guests to do. We had our rehearsal dinner on the resort's boat - the Lady Alderbrook, which was absolutely beautiful. The guys played golf with the groom the morning of the wedding and the ladies went kayaking with the bride and several seals! The food was great and they have a lot of local options, which is what we were looking for. The only problem was that they do not offer the level of service that you would expect from a resort of this caliber. Over the course of the year that I was planning with them, I went through 4 different event coordinators and 3 pastry chefs. Only one of the 4 coordinators actually contacted me to let me know there was a change and that he would be taking over. With the others, I found out when I inquired as to why the previous person had not been responding to my emails. The staff was not very accommodating at first and were pretty stern about nickel-and-diming every item. It wasn't until after they realized all that I had put up with that they began to cooperate more. Several mistakes were made along the way - from guest booking errors to the timing of items on guest arrival, etc. It is quite a steep price for what you get in terms of quantity (food) and service. But in the end, it all turned out perfectly. This was mostly due to the help of my fantastic friends and concerned family members...as well as Alderbrook's banquet captain. She was fantastic and I wish I had met her earlier in the process! Overall, I would highly recommend this resort as a location for a wedding - just know that you will have to be very involved in the planning and pay close attention to making sure everything happens the way you want it to.

Alderbrook is an amazing place for a wedding. They worked very hard at making sure my day was beautiful and perfect.

We got to the resort and was met in our room with a bottle of wine. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they possibly could be. After the ceremony they put out a bottle of champagne for my husband and I. The reception staff was attentive and helpful with anything we needed. When my husband and I got to our room that night there was sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries. They made my day special and romantic.

I loved the backdrop the water and mountains provided but we had serious issues with their wedding coordinator. We have been assured that the issue has been resolved but its worth asking questions at the beginning. I'm still not sure the price is worth what we got.

We had our outdoor May Day wedding at Alderbrook and it could not have been better! From the excellent level of service to the delicious food to the beautiful weather that they ordered - it was fabulous. The staff is amazing, easy to work with and do everything they can to make sure your day goes smoothly. We had two coordinators which in itself can get a little crazy but everyone was well informed -- nothing was overlooked. FABULOUS

I attended a wedding here in 2006 and the setting was beautiful. The rooms are amazing and the view is breathtaking. The food was also delicious and the wedding coordinator was very helpful and appeasing.

We had the opportunity to have our wedding at landmark downtown Seattle hotel for less, but after meeting with Julie Noice at Alderbrook, we knew we had to have our event there. The grounds are lovely, the food was PERFECT, and it was Julie's attention to detail that made our day the best day of my life.

After working in the service industry and seeing the good and bad of catering and events, I usually know what to look for. But when it came to my own wedding - I felt a bit over my skies. But Julie (the events manager) and her staff were wonderful! They are amazingly well organized and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I do have to say that the Alderbrook is not cheap my any means - but if you can, it's definitely worth every penny. My parting advice though - (if you can) focus on the deserts and pastries (as their pastry chef is AMAZING), and maybe detract a bit from their food (their food has never been known as being very good). Our food was dry and over-done. But once the deserts arrived - no one even seemed to remember the dinner they had just had.
