AVOID AT ALL COST!
EXCELLENT JOB would just begin to describe the service provided to my whole bridal party. Tonya, Randilyn, Emily, and Michelle travelled downtown to my hotel bridal suite to do our hair. I gave them a tight time frame to get all 12 of us ready and they had us done early! Everyone of the girls who got their hair done was happy with the style! The hair stayed in all day and looked perfect in the pictures! I had pre-portraits done so Tonya had to do my hair the same on two different days and she did an amazing job-it looked exactly the same! The stylists made the morning extra fun and I was so happy with how beautiful everyone looked! I couldn’t have asked for more from the stylists and would recommend everyone to go to Alera.
Christine was so incredibly helpful and did a great job with my wedding makeup! When I went in for a trial she nicely let me know that my eyebrows could use some filling in, so she had me grow them, then come in for a waxing and I'm so happy she went above and beyond to make sure I looked my best on my wedding day. Several of my bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by others at Alera and everyone looked beautiful!
I went to Alera Salon to get my hair done for my wedding! The staff was so friendly we had a great experience! I took 7 bridesmaids with me and we were in and out in 1 hour! It was so nice to be on time and not have to worry about being late! The ladies at Alera did a wonderful job on all the girls hair. They ranged from long thick hair, to short chin length hair. The girls all got different styles and everyone was beautiful! Randilyn did an AMAZING job on my hair. It was so classy and better than I ever expected! I also go to Alera for my regular hair appointments and it's always a wonderful experience. Thanks to all the ladies who made us look beautiful!!
Alera my usual salon and Randilyn is my go to stylist but you can't go wrong with anyone at Alera. My bridal party and I all went there for hair and some for makeup. Everything held up beautifully for pictures and would have held up longer except it was beyond windy that so minor touch-ups were needed later in the day. The whole staff at Alera is amazingly talented and I wouldn't have gone anywhere else on my wedding day.
My MOH took me to Alera for a mani/pedi the day before my wedding. I really just wanted the french manicure on my hands and feet, and since I had long enough nails on my own... I didn't want to get the fake nails or even go with the shelac.
This place was really nice inside, and the girl who worked on our hands and feet were really sweet... but I've had a few manicures before, and I absolutely know that there shouldn't be THAT many mistakes, nor should there be white paint on my finger pads after the manicure had finished. I should have also been given a nail dryer, and I wasn't... so surprise, surpise-- one or two of them smudged.
I've always had a manicure done where they paint the top part of the nail white and then use a brush with the remover to make a perfect arch on the nail so that it almost looks fake. These girls just painted the arch themselves free hand with the white paint. There is a huge difference in how it will appear- I really truly think that I could have done a better job. And the worst part was... I was pretty picky! I asked her to redo a few nails, and I got a few comments like, "Well, this is a lot of pressure."
Yeah... it's my wedding day! I want my nails to look good.
Worst of all? Not only did I get a sub-par mani and pedi, but the price blew my mind. Would you believe it cost $95.00? For your basic french manicure (no extras) and french pedicure? My MOH and I heard the prices and shot looks of pure shock at each other. I could have gone to a little old hole in the wall and paid $22.00 for a french manicure that would have been absolutely perfect-- and I HAVE BEFORE!
Do not go here. Way overpriced for less than median work.
