Even when we had a hiccup with the limo service who was supposed to pick us up at the end, they were great and let us wait for the limo to arrive and even helped me get ahold of the company. cess a dream. We began working with them in October of 2024, and over the span of a year we have absolutely ZERO complaints. Extremely attentive staff and vendors that truly care about their clients and their vision. Our planner and coordinator (Camryn and Virginia) absolutely rocked it, even with an unexpected rain plan. I could rave forever about the professionalism implemented and also just how amazing these two ladies are as people (we are their biggest fans now). This is a venue that made the rain a special PART of the wedding and the homestead was able to create an atmosphere that I believe was better than even planned. All-inclusive venue, amazing people, and a ridiculous amount of creativity... AND all for a reasonable price in this economy. We will speak about and recommend this venue forever. I remembered a dear friend telling me that she had been to a wedding at AH, a place that I drove past everyday but had no idea it was there. At our initial appointment I was sold. They were able to accomodate our smaller wedding with dates available when we wanted and the best part...? Their tag line..."feel like a guest at your own wedding." That was it, I was sold. And, they did exactly that. From the original consult, they laid out our timeline. They gave us a list a vendors and coordinated with them to execute our vision. And even with the last minute hiccups from things outside of our control, they were professionals the entire time. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue, scenery, and staff. "It's like a resort" and "This is the most beautiful venue!" is all we heard. I am so glad that we chose AH as our venue and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a venue in Charlotte, NC.

The venue reached out to the vendors to inform the we booked, then the vendors reached out to me to begin scheduling meetings. It took so much weight off my shoulders. They day off the wedding was phenomenal. Danielle was our coordinator on site from the time we arrived to the time we left. She was there when we needed, and seemed to anticipate my needs before I could even verbalize them. She unbelievably nice and wholesome all day long. The day was perfect from start to finish and I attribute all that to Danielle. I've never had a more stress free day in my life. The venue was decorated beautifully. It was literally a wedding out of a dream. I have had multiple guests tell me the food was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. And the people who need accommodations for dietary restrictions said they were accommodated perfectly. If I had to do the day over I would not change a thing. It's been almost two weeks and my Husband and I still talk about how perfect the day was and how wonderful Danielle was to us. We loved every minute of it and would recommend Alexander Homestead to anyone getting married.

e felt flawless and better than we could have imagined. Carolann, our planner and day-of coordinator, truly deserves SO much recognition for her hard work. During the planning process, she was always quick to respond with a friendly and informative answer, and even made planning a wedding from a different state feel like a breeze! During the rehearsal and day of our wedding, she ensured everything ran smoothly, especially when it poured rain 30 minutes before our ceremony and she coordinated the rain plan set-up, which we ultimately did not need to use as we lucked out and it stopped raining and we were able to hold our ceremony in the BEAUTIFUL garden! The entire event flowed so beautifully, and I cannot recommend our experience with Alexander Homestead enough! The garden and barn spaces are stunning, the food was delicious, the in-house vendors they recommended (Mint Hill Flower Market, Sweet It Is!, Rick Bovey, and All the Right Grooves) were all amazing to work with, and of course the staff at Alexander Homestead was wonderful. Carolann made the entire process SO simple and stress-free. Throughout all of planning, I felt like we just got to make the "fun decisions" without any of the stress, and that's thanks to the care that Carolann put into planning our day! I never felt worried whether things would go smoothly because of the expertise the AH team and vendors brought to the event. AH shares that they hope to make the wedding couple feel like guests at their own wedding, and that was absolutely the case for us. The gardens were gorgeous, the food was amazing, the service was quick and professional, and all communications throughout the entire process were clear and timely. f EVERYTHING and not just mediocre vendors, they use high end, best of the best folks and I could not have had a more perfect and magical day with only 2 months of planning. It was raining during our ceremony and our coordinator Carolann gave the sweetest pep talk to our friends and family who charged to their seats in the rain like a Braveheart battle with cheers and all. The venue provided umbrellas and the rain stopped just in time for the actual ceremony. The grounds are gorgeous, the pictures are pretty but let me tell you, in person it's stunning. The florist they use should be in magazines, and I'm not kidding when I tell you at ALL of our guest went out of their way to tell us how GOOD the food was (which is so hard in the wedding space you know?!). Carolann had recommended we use their DJ and we opted to hire our own... honestly my only regret, and she did warn me! USE who they recommend, the vendors are all top notch and highly talented. My mom had coordinated the Tiger Mascot showing up (my Dad passed a few years ago but was the mascot at Clemson) to escort me down the aisle and was going to surprise me right before I walked by Carolann suggested doing a "first look" of sorts and I'm so glad she did because I bawled my eyes out. By ceremony time I was back fresh. Carolann is an actual talented goddess at this stuff and the AH staff are incredibly kind and helpful. You'd be silly to go anywhere else!

de wedding. So the staff was prepared with umbrellas and towels to dry the seats. The rain stopped JUST in time. The venue itself is gorgeous (and I was so excited to see tulips blooming). Their lead planner, Carolanne, was so friendly and professional and made sure that not only the bride, groom, their family and guests were taken care of but also checked in on me several times to make sure I didn’t need anything. She made sure I was served lunch (and their in house catering made an AMAZING breakfast buffet - I’ve never had better shrimp and grits even on the coast) and the staff checked in on me while I was eating to make sure I was taken care of. I can promise you a venue who takes care of other vendors takes care of their clients even better. The venue and lead planned were also in on a BIG surprise for the bride and we stayed in contact all day to pull it off seamlessly. I can not say enough good things about the venue itself - from the gorgeous bridal suite and the cool and comfortable grooms cabin that allowed both the bride and groom to get ready with room for their friends to hang out to the absolutely stunning property. Every staff member was polite and friendly. Their lead planner is an absolute pro (and had a timeline that flowed perfectly even with a last minute surprise from The Clemson Tiger and dicey weather). 11/10 recommend and I would absolutely get married here myself. nd having your wedding here! Not only was the space beautiful, but everyone who works there is helpful and kind during such an important time! The venue is rustic and elegant which is exactly the mix we wanted. The outdoor space is gorgeous!! We even had our wedding in December and it was still perfect for pictures! They have tons of vendors they recommend that were also professional and did a phenomenal job! Alexander Homestead made our day magical and stress free!

a wedding date. AS SOON AS we toured the Alexander Homestead (with Nicole) we could instantly see ourselves getting married there. We were impressed with EVERY vendor! It was chilling – the thought of getting married on a historic property in a garden with a string quartet was a dream come true! From the start, their communication with me was personal and professional - a big thank you to Carolann for curbing my worries and holding my hand every step of the way! To secure this venue in our timeframe, we got married on a Monday evening in October 2022 and that turned out to be the best decision ever! By getting married on a Monday, it increased our vendor availability and made it more cost effective. This also gave our all our guests (98) time to come in the weekend prior. We held a welcome party on Saturday (at Optimist Hall) followed by a brewery night (at 4001 Yancey) that evening. On Sunday, we had our rehearsal in the afternoon at the AH and brought all our décor. Carolann walked us through the rehearsal so we would all know what to expect and where to go during the wedding ceremony. Sunday evening, we had our rehearsal dinner (at Rooster’s South Park) and a private rooftop soiree (at Le Meridien) Sunday night! By the time it came to our wedding day – I had already visited with most of my guests and could truly just focus on marrying my best friend and enjoying our wedding day the AH team worked so hard to put together for us both! We choose to have a live quartet (Musically Yours - recommended by the HA team) during our ceremony and garden party which created the ultimate romantic garden vibe I wanted. Randall and Jayne Sprinkle (Musically Yours) worked with Scott and I to pick music that was meaningful to us – hearing them play during our wedding was just SO special to me! After our wedding ceremony, Scott and I joined our photographer in the reception barn so we could have our first moments as husband and wife together, take a breath, have a snack, and see our wedding cake and table decorations before our guests filled the room. I am so glad we did this – it also gave me time to take off my heels and put my flats on! No matter where you get married – wear comfortable shoes and make sure you carve out some time for you and your spouse! There is NO bad place to take a photo at this venue and our photographer (Haylie Noelle Photography) and videographer (Shamus Coneys) captured all the beautiful details of the Alexander Homestead in our wedding photos/videos. We used Rose Transportation to drop off/pick up all our guests. It was so convenient to have everything for our wedding at one location (this can be a BIG time saver too). We were recommended to use their DJ (“All The Right Grooves”) and we are SO glad we did!! Jill was fantastic to work with and brought big energy to our reception!! The AH venue had everything that was important to us, and the AH team was able to bring our wedding day vision to life! Carolann was the best wedding day coordinator I could have asked for – she was always within eye gaze and made sure every transition and part of the wedding went smoothly. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect, and I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL to every hand and heart that went into making our wedding day perfect for the two of us.

The staff also goes above and beyond to make sure you feel heard and reassured. As much of a ball of nerves I was, I had ALOT of questions and our coordinator, Danielle, answered all of them… probably twice lol. The venue is stunning and it can accommodate both large and small weddings. lastly, they are open and honest about pricing from the very beginning. There was never any surprise costs at the end. We knew all the costs (including tax) from the initial appointment with the venue. I highly recommend this place to any couple who wants easy wedding planning. They’ve got a perfect location in the city, amazing staff, and Beautiful venue!!

First, you aren’t wasting resources trying to make a banquet room presentable as the grounds and facilities are absolutely stunning. They allow a bridal session before the wedding so that is an added bonus. Pictures and social media posts were gorgeous. Our planner made everything run smoothly and alleviated stress while making sure things ran smoothly down to every detail! Food was fantastic and what a presentation to have the barn doors open and close for the buffet! We had misting rain in the morning and that would have been no issue had it continued. I just can’t rave enough! And literally every guest commented on the venue and the staff! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this gem!

She is absolutely fantastic and so wonderful to work with! We wouldn’t have changed a thing - cannot say enough about how much we love this venue and team!

e a lot of guests. It was a perfect hybrid of indoor-outdoor. The grounds are kept beautifully with flowers and a small stream. The historic houses on the property are gorgeous without taking attention away from the wedding itself. I was able to rent the bridal suite in the morning to get ready with my bridesmaids and the moms, then have an evening ceremony and reception. The house was clean and ready to go when we got there. Water and pastries were provided. Plenty of hooks for hangers, a space for hair and makeup, and our own bathroom. The partner vendors was one of the best parts of AH. Our florist, baker for the cake, and DJ were partners with the venue and went beyond expectations. The flowers with Pink Petunia were gorgeous and perfectly matched our colors (blue and purple flowers are hard to come by). The flowers at the altar and for the centerpieces were stunning. The cake by Sweet It Is was just as pretty and so delicious. Lori nailed the look we wanted and the cake was moist and not overly-sweet. Bethany brought the energy throughout the whole night from announcing our grand entrance to choosing the perfect songs to keep everyone on the dancefloor. She also did an amazing job going on the fly with some of our announcement requests. Dinner was done by AH and was plated, so no one had to get up. The staff did an amazing job not only getting plates in and out, but the food was so delicious. The Alexander Homestead team from Rick, our officiant with the perfect rendition of our "love story", to Danielle, our day-of-coordinator, made the perfect day. Everything ran so smoothly. Danielle was on top of everything and covered everything I missed. She had the perfect balance of a commanding presence and the gentle touch to keep things moving forward. She answered all of my questions, got all of our decor that we brought set up for us, and got last second snags taken care of within minutes. Also a huge thank you to Carolann for helping us plan during the year leading up to the wedding. My husband and I are both in the military and had to do all of our meetings virtually with the venue and all of the vendors. With us in three different time zones, AH and the vendors were able to make it work, and I couldn't be more thankful. I've gotten so many compliments on the ceremony, reception, the venue, the service, and the whole experience from friends and family. I'm usually one to say, "I wish ___ had gone differently," but I can whole-heartedly say that the AH team made our wedding day perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. We had a lot of logistics involved in our big day, as we got ready in the AH bridal suite/grooms cabin that morning, had the ceremony at our nearby church, and then returned to AH for our garden party/reception. Carolann, Sharon Elisabeth Photography, Jody from Pink Petunia, the team at Sweet It Is, and Bethany at All the Right Grooves all coordinated our day so seamlessly that there was zero stress and so much joy! We've had SO many of our guests comment on how beautiful and how much fun our wedding/reception was and that is certainly due to the professionalism of Carolann and the AH team. I would highly recommend going with as many of AH's recommended partner vendors as possible, as they are all exceptional. My husband and I did a few unique things at our reception (including reading our vows since we could not do this during our Orthodox ceremony) and Carolann and the team were so very helpful in making our vision happen perfectly! You will not regret your decision to go with AH. They truly do make the wedding planning process so simple, fun, and customized to fit you! We are proud to be part of the AH family.
