ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! During the early stages of wedding planning, we were working with another caterer who didn’t follow through. Our wedding coordinator at our venue suggested we contact Judee. I remember sitting on my phone in the car and when I called she answered right away. We had a wonderful conversation and I felt comfortable with her and her business. Since that day, Judee was such a sweetheart. She was always available to chat with us, answer questions and gave us everything we could ask for and more including a PIZZA BAR! which is not in their speciality. They made us silicon slices and had bowls of toppings for people to add to their slices. There were so many people raving about it that they forgot to even take pictures of their pizza or the pizza bar itself! Judee had us come in for our tasting and gave us a lot of food to try. She let my husband and I come back a second time without our entourage and let us retry one of our items and again made us an entire plate of yummyness. My husband and I thought we saw “broccoli and cheddar stuffed” chicken on the menu and apparently that wasn’t on there BUT Judee and John made it for us anyways and it was a huge hit at the wedding! Everyone also loved the Smoked BBQ Brisket - which I was worried about at first since our tasting was not during smoked season, but the smoked brisket came out wonderful! and our veggie option- Stuffed Portobello Mushroom. Not only did Judee and her team provide great food, but their positive attitudes and serving skills were beyond expected. Judee and her team made sure to have a plethora of appetizers in the bridal room when we came back from photos/before intros. They followed the seating chart perfectly to serve meals and everything came out in a timely manner. Her team cut all of our cake, plated all of our cookies and provided trays for the cookie table. Prior to the reception, Judee met with me twice I think to review table cloth colors and even got a bunch of pink and blue samples to see at my venue in person. At the end of our reception, Judee and her team cleaned up all of our decor as they were asked too which was not part of the initial plan. I can’t thank Judee enough and I highly recommend her at All the Best Catering and PGH BBQ Company John in Dormont. Judee is a wonderful person and has a big heart. Love her and the team!!! Also.. forgot to mention, the veggies OMG SO GOOD and the potatoes!!!! ALL THE BEST! Thank you!
We really enjoyed working with this vendor. The food was great (it’s been over a month since our wedding and we are still getting compliments). Judee was very helpful in planning and was especially helpful with taking care of linens and place settings.
All the Best Catering did a great job for our wedding buffet. They worked with us to create a custom wedding menu that was both delicious and fit within our budget. Judee was so kind and worked to make sure everything was just as we wanted it. She and her servers helped to ensure everything ran smoothly.
This caterer is wonderful. The food was delicious! They were able to accommodate or nut allergy and gluten allergy guests and their food was great too. Judee even made sure my groom and I ate, which is hard to do. You really should consider this caterer for your own wedding, you won't regret it.
We used pittsburgh BBQ for our August wedding. Not only was the food amazing, but Judee and the staff were so helpful. We ran out of vodka at one point and one of the staff members ran out and got more. The staff was professional and on top of everything. I was more than thrilled with their service. Thanks for making my day awesome.
Judee was the caterer for our wedding on 12.2.2017. Judee was seriously fabulous. We had a very specific idea in mind for our food wanting a half polish half greek buffet. Judee went above and beyond to accommodate the exact vision we had. We had many many people come up to use that night and in the days after to tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Judee also trayed our cookies for the cookie table and displayed our cake pops from our bakery. On top of all the fabulous catering judee added fairie light to the cookie table to display and fairie lights on the head table that made for a gorgeous extra touch. Throughout the night Judee and her crew kept the buffet moving nicely as we had told her we were hoping to get on the dance floor as soon as possible. I can't say enough about how fabulous Judee's food was and how she went above and beyond with every aspect of the reception. I would recommend Judee to any bride in the area and the value for the quality food she provides is unbeatable.
Thank you Judee for making the reception of our dreams!
We booked ATB Catering for our wedding. Food was fine, but everything else was a mess. Judee tried to cancel/change two out of our three meetings within an hour of the meeting. They failed to announce that our cake was being put out so we wasted $500 in Oakmont Bakery cake. We specifically asked for any extra food to be given to us - a) we paid for it b) we wanted it for our hotel after-party. They said there was none left. Zero. For a buffet setup, that means they either didn't have enough for our guests, or they threw it away/took it for themselves, even the pierogies that we purchased on our own and had served... which I have seen them do before, knowing people who have worked for them. They also never had us sign a contract - very unprofessional for the wedding industry.
When we called to express our issues after the wedding, Judee first said they don't work with DJs to announce cake... then she changed her tune and said she told one of the bridesmaids to have it announced - this did not happen. We asked to speak to the owner, Art, and he immediately attacked us, saying he wanted to get rid of us months ago because he knew we would have issues and want money back. We never wanted money, just to tell him how poorly Judee handled our wedding. He replied with "That's not my problem" and was never apologetic at all for any of the issues we had. We asked him to explain any of the issues above, and he was unable to, but still refused to apologize for any of the poorly handled issues.
I run a business also, and if I handled a customer issue like either of the two of them, I would not only hurt our brand/business, but probably lose my job.
If I could give a lower score I would. If you are thinking about hiring this vendor for your wedding, PLEASE AVOID.
My biggest gripe is against Judee, the manager. However, after just speaking with the manager Art, I have no hope for their business. I will write a specific list of things that happened:
- Judee tried to cancel or reschedule 2/3 meetings less than an hour beforehand because she "double booked". We had rearranged our schedules to be there.
- The manager didn't remember to have us sign a contract.
-Judee never asked us about our seating chart. I did this myself. She never asked where the veg/gluten free people were, so I was interrupted during my wedding dinner to find them.
-They never announced cake was in the back. We ended up going home with almost a full wedding cake and almost none of the guests got cake.
-I had spent 4 months on a card box in my woodworking class. I had sent pictures and detailed instructions on set up. Per pictures, they were not followed.
-They were supposed to box up any leftover food. I was told there was none left. I was later told by guests that they didn't even get pierogies because the caterer took them away early with food still in the serving trays. No explanation could be given as to where the food went.
-During a tasting, there was hair in my food. I later got ill, although I can't prove is from their food.
All of these things I could forgiven with a simple "I'm sorry". I was debating calling Judee last week to let her know my disappointment on the cake and just for general feedback. However, I was met with anger and accusations. I was told it was my bridesmaid's fault that they didn't announce it (because somehow it is my guest's duty to do their jobs?). How unprofessional. I then asked to speak with Art, the owner. I was told he would call the next day. After not getting a call, Judee emailed me telling me his number and that "he would take" my call. You would think an owner would make a customer priority, but I wasn't really surprised. From what I've heard, he lets his employees steal from him anyway.
My husband and I talked to Art today. After I gave him our list of specific examples of things that went wrong, he told us he never wanted to do our wedding anyway. He said he knew we would just want money back for problems that occurred. I was blown away by this response. I brought up the fact that I have not once asked for money back - all I wanted was an apology. He then blamed my bridesmaid (who used to work for them) for everything that happened because she had "insider knowledge". FYI this insider knowledge is that they let you pay cash for servers, which Judee told me in our first meeting. Also, "linens" apparently. No clue what he was talking about. Note: we got no discount either, so still wondering what this insider knowledge is. We went through my list again and I asked him to give me specific responses to those situations. He said he couldn't offer any explanations. He also said he did not feel like he had to apologize. My husband would be fired from his job if he did this.
Clearly this business does not care about its customers. It won't give even an apology when one is due, or even a thank you for reaching out and giving feedback. Please beware. Or if you do go with them, feel free to contact me so I can give you all this alleged "insider knowledge."
We used the Pittsburgh BBQ Company for our wedding at a barn. Judee and her team did a great job with everything and the guests loved the food!!!Everything was delicious and they were great to work with. We highly recommend them!!
Judee and her team were wonderful from start to finish. From our initial tasting to the day of, we were so impressed with them. The food was fantastic and all of our guests raved. They go above and beyond to help the day of the wedding and work with the other vendors to make sure everything is running smoothly. They made sure to pay special attention to the bride and groom to make sure they were the happiest in the room, which was tough, because everyone was ecstatic about their service. Judee and the rest of the staff are the definition of professional and should be everyone's #1 choice of caterer in the Pittsburgh area. I would recommend All the Best to everyone I know!
Judee and Tracy are wonderful to work with! From our tasting a year ago with Judee to the day of coordination from Tracy we are both so impressed!!! They offer great meals (we picked chicken marsala and roast beef) at affordable prices. They are more than a catering company and helped work with our other vendors the day of and handled any loose strings (even if it was not their problem). I am really happy we choose them and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer in the Pittsburgh area.
We had barbecue through Pittsburgh Barbecue Company/All the Best Catering. Awesome. The food was delicious, super casual, and our guests were saying how much they loved the food! I only wish I'd been hungry enough the day of to eat more of it myself! Everyone was easy to work with and friendly. Absolutely recommended.
I used the Pittsburgh BBQ company as the caterer for my wedding on August 16th, 2014. They are the sister company to All the Best Catering. We had an outdoor wedding of 175 guests. The BBQ was excellent and I received a lot of compliments on the food. However, this catering company was extremely hard to get a hold of when I wanted to talk to them. I emailed or called numerous times and would never get a return call. Considering that my catering bill was $4880, I don't think I should have had to chase them. After the wedding, I found out from some friends that they helped set up the salads and bread because the caterer was late. They were extremely nice people, but the service was not good. I would not recommend this company. For the amount of money that I spent, I was not impressed. Be weary of the service. They over promised and under delivered.
I was so happy that we decided to go with this catering company. The food was delicious and so was the service. We ended up having their pasta bar as an added bonus and it was a huge hit! They were very accommodating with our schedule and were super attentive to the bridal party and the families of the bride and groom. The food was delicious and the price was extremely reasonable.
We originally looked at All the Best because they were the cheapest caterer that was contracted by our reception site. But low cost definitely didn't mean low quality! They had a good number of menu items to choose from and all of the food was excellent. we had several guests with allergies and other special dietary needs, and they were able to provide allergen-free plates for them at no extra cost to us. Our coordinator on the day of, Tracey, was awesome. She made sure that the bridal party had plenty to eat and even sent us home with plenty of leftovers. I can't say enough wonderful things about the food!
We were referred to All the Best by Soldiers and Sailors Hall, who uses them as one of their authorized vendors. Our tasting was wonderful, with tons of options and they were very flexible to accomodate our schedules. Linens were included and they has a lot of colors to choose from. The on-site coordinator was amazing and beyond helpful. Our cookies were trayed beautifully and the guests raved about our cocktail hour. Dinner was delicious and well organized. Very pleased with our experience with this caterer.
Now I appreciate attention to detail. All the Best was seriously lacking in that department. Having said that:
we had around 175 guests for our September 7th wedding in Oakland. We opted for a sit down meal with a Greek salad (my husband is 100% Greek), a penne pasta w/tomato basil sauce appetizer, and a choice of focaccia encrusted tilapia or chicken marsala for dinner.
The salad was a mess. It was not at all what was agreed upon. Most salads were served without dressing. Their solution to this was to rush out waiters with squeeze bottles to squirt dressing onto guest's salads without giving them the option of how much they wanted. We paid an extra $3 per person for an elegant sit down meal. This obviously was not elegant. Some guests never received their salads. Now the Greek salad was served with spinach (not correct), feta and cherry tomatoes. There were no olives as also described prior to the big day.
The pasta appetizer was not served until AFTER the entree! When they realized their error, they put massive bowls of pasta onto the table. The problem was the servers had cleared all plates/silverware. How were my guests supposed to eat this?!
Dinner was great. Food was delicious and served hot. However the reason we paid the extra $3 pp for a sit down was because we thought it would go much faster than a buffet. Wrong again. Salads were to be served before bridal party's announcement at 815 pm. Then immediately after the announcement, pasta appetizers and dinner were to be served. All of the meals were not served until around 915PM! An HOUR!
And probably the BIGGEST and most unforgivable mistake occurred when our toasting flutes (which were a gift) were sent back to the dishwasher, and one of our flutes were broken. That is completely irreplaceable.
My husband and I met with our catering coordinator who was at our event and the owner of the company when the coordinator returned from vacation about 2 weeks after our event. We expressed our concerns and were told by the owner we would have resolution in the next few days. It has been weeks and still nothing other than them offering us $315 for the pasta mix up.
If you don't care about good service, and just want good tasting food. Go ahead and hire this company. I for one am not recommending them to any bride to be.
Had they resolved the issue in a timely manner it might have been different because mistakes do happen. However, this just shows a complete lack of professionalism. They got our money already, so why do they care?
Just beware before hiring!
I had the best experience with our caterer from day 1. I can't tell you how many compliments we received about our food! I would recommend this company to anyone!
All the Best was truly AMAZING! Tracy, who was the coordinator for our reception, was so great. She was on top of everything & would do anything we requested. She organized everything down to every little detail. Our reception, which had a cocktail hour & a family-style dinner, went so smoothly primarily because of her. The food was good too. Not as good as I remember when tasting, but it was fine. They were such a great choice for us!
All the Best Catering created a custom Chinese menu for us! The food was DELICIOUS!!! The linens they provided were elegant and matched our wedding colors perfectly. The servers were extremely professional. We were very pleased with the caterer.
I was so happy with everything All the Best provided. The appetizers were delicious (highly suggest any pastry with spinach!!) The service provided the day of the wedding was more than I could have asked for!
I loved the food. my husband couldnt stop talking about the stuffed chicken days after the wedding!
My husband and I contacted All the Best catering after my fathers wedding rehearsal dinner. They had done an outdoor rehearsal for them and it was flawless. My husband and I were on a tight budget so we opted for an all appetizer reception and it was great! We had plenty of food and spent less than $700 for over 100 people. I did not get to eat much that day but I heard nothin but great things about the food and staff. I would definitely use them for any other event.
