This is an absolutely beautiful place for a wedding reception! (Plus, you can do your bridal portraits there, too!) The standard wedding package comes with 4 hours, but it is DEFINITELY worth it to get the extra hour--my husband and I only opted for the 4, and the evening FLEW by.
There is nothing more "Dallas" than The Belo Mansion where we held our wedding reception. The food, drinks, staff, and overall experience was outstanding. Dawn Finley and her team are experts at ensuring your event is exactly what you envision it to be. Highly recommend!!!!
We had my daughter's wedding at the Belo Mansion this past weekend and in my eyes it was perfect. We worked with Bryan Starnes, our catering manager, and he was very accommodating from start to finish. The atmosphere, food, drinks, new carpet and the service were wonderful and if we had to do it all again I don't think I would change a thing. Lots of wonderful comments from our guests about the Belo Mansion.
Bryan was incredibly helpful from start to finish with making our special day the best it could be. He attended to every detail, and offered great insight in his knowledge for food and wine choices. The staff on the wedding day was very hospitable and took the utmost care of our guests. We received much positive feedback from them. Thank you Bryan, the Chef, and staff.
I loved every minute of our wedding reception at the Belo! Bryan Starnes was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and made sure the night went smoothly. We opted for a sit-down dinner and got so many compliments on how great the food was. The venue is so unique - it was the only venue I looked at. Once I saw it, my mind was made up! We had our reception in the historic part of the mansion, which was perfect for our 115 person reception.
Dawn at the Belo Mansion made our wedding day dreams come true! She is a total professional and easy to work with, which made planning simple! The food was delicious and the drinks were on point. Dawn worked with all of our vendors to ensure a smooth reception and we had nothing to worry about the day of! The Belo Mansion is the perfect venue for a wedding reception and the entire staff there made the experience remarkable!
We had a wonderful experience using the Belo! I did my Bridal portraits there as well as having our reception. The food was amazing, the team was great, and we loved getting to work with Dawn Finley to plan the perfect event for us!
We had our ceremony and reception at the Belo Mansion. We had about 140 guests so we used the mansion side of it. I loved how we had access to the whole house. We had our ceremony in the atrium area, which had a skylight overhead. During cocktail hour, the guests could mingle in the different living rooms, foyer, bar area, etc. Bryan was absolutely wonderful to work with. He always responded to my emails quickly and was very helpful during the planning process. He worked together very well with my wedding planner. The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were amazing. All the staff was very professional on the day of the wedding. Would definitely recommend checking out this venue for your wedding!
The Belo Mansion was a wonderful place to have my wedding reception. It offers the pavilion and the mansion, both which are stunning! The mansion offers a unique venue, as it was used as a mansion at one point. It was a saloon and parlors for guests to tuck away from the party on the dance floor. My husband and I were taken upstairs as soon as we arrived in order to have some quiet time and eat dinner before we were introduced at the reception. One of my favorite parts was that we were able to toss the bouquet and garter from the balcony-this was truly unique and provided good pictures!! Bryan was a great help as he worked well with our wedding planner to make sure my wedding reception was perfect!! I had many friends and family members who loved the Belo and thought it was beautiful and a one of a kind place. I would recommend the Belo Mansion to anyone, as it is truly a beautiful venue!
I had my wedding and reception at Belo. I loved it. Bonnie was easy to work with and even though there were some things that came up along the way, she was amazing when it came to fixing them. If you can have your wedding here, do it! The food and experience is great. I literally just found my vendors and my day was FLAWLESS.
Not in my budget but still very pretty
They were easy to work with. Because they are owned by the Bar Association, they have strict alcohol rules that can be frustrating (limit # of hrs serving alcohol, no shots, etc). My wedding was about 400 people and in Dallas this is one of the few places that can accommodate this well.
Overall, we had a great experience at the Belo. It is a beautiful venue and all of our guests enjoyed the reception.
My wedding and reception were held in the Mansion portion of the Belo. Everything was beautiful, food was great and staff was very professional. They handled all food, drinks, tables, chairs, serving utensils and the like, which made for fewer vendors. The coordinator was helpful, but not very flexible. Would absolutely recommend.
I didn't think I would have my wedding in an old mansion cause my taste is more
more contemporary but as soon as I walked in I fell in love with the mansion's charm and uniqueness. The bride's room is very charming and sweet - there is so much space for the bridal party to get ready.
Bryan was very helpful throughout the process - I didn't have or need a wedding coordinator or DOC. He took care of the small issues that came up (late guests, late flowers, etc.) We had hors d'oeuvres, wine and champagne served in the cocktail hour and although I didn't taste them I head positive things from our guests. The food was delicious, elegant and plentiful.
The service was incredible! There were so many waiters/waitresses and they were all cheerful, helpful and extremely professional. The staff was the best part - because of their professionalism I could relax and enjoy my day knowing everything would be taken care of (and it was!)
The Belo Mansion was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding in December. It's such a beautiful place, and the service was incredible from the time we booked until we exited as a married couple. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in the historic part of the mansion, and it was all perfect. The food and beverage minimum is a little steep, but everyone said the food was great. We had many people tell us that our wedding was the best they'd ever been to, and a big part of that was the Belo!
I absolutely loved the Belo Mansion! The service there is extraordinary. I did not have a wedding planner and I worked through every detail with their staff and they were terrific. The night of the wedding was absolutely perfect because of all of their hard work!
