We upgraded our package to have our venue manager become our day of coordinator for our special day, and we have no regrets. All of our needs were met and the day went so smoothly. The indoor space is large and easy to cater to your specific vision. The outdoor area is perfect for anyone looking for a gorgeous background- with large trees in the distance and nice fields, it’s perfect for any season. The venue itself is also easily accessible and is gorgeous even without decorations. If you are looking to rent decor, the venue can also help with that! Overall, we are so happy with our experience.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Ashton Hill. I just got married 05/27/23 at their Cedar Rapids venue and the venue is absolutely beautiful all of our guests just kept telling us how beautiful it was and how fun our wedding was! I also can’t say enough about the staff there, they were all so amazing to work with and interact with, especially our coordinator MJ! MJ was so helpful along the way and made everything so stress free, especially the day of the wedding! She helped the night flow seamlessly and kept me and my husband stress free the WHOLE day! I couldn’t say better things about Ashton Hill and the day of coordinators. The staff truly make the whole experience of getting married so stress free. The bartenders were fabulous all night, and always had a smile on their face. Our day of coordinators kept in touch throughout our whole planning process. We absolutely loved Ashton Hill as our wedding venue. They were incredibly helpful while planning and helped us find the majority of our other vendors which made the process much easier, and of course the building is beautiful. From the spacious bridal suite/grooms lounge to get ready at, beautiful outdoor ceremony location, spacious indoor reception room that brings in all the natural light, outdoor patio space perfect for cocktail hour, and the accommodating bar.. Ashton Hill was perfect for our wedding and had everything I was looking for! I can't say enough good things about their staff as well! Making the choice to get married at Ashton Hill Farm was THE best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. Ashton Hill Farm's amazing team ended up introducing to all of our other outstanding vendors so it really started the process for us! The location/venue itself is incredibly beautiful. Every single corner is perfect. From the chandeliers, the outdoor space for the ceremony, fire pits, bridal suites, the beautiful chairs...every detail is photo ready. Our design/floral team blew us away with how they decorated the space, but honestly, the venue is grand and beautiful enough on its own! I'm so happy with how our photos turned out and a huge part of that was due to the beauty of Ashton Hill. The entire staff was professional, helpful, and seemed to know just what we needed before we needed it! II'll never be able to put into words my gratitude and appreciation for MJ Colby and the work she put in as our Day of Coordinator. She went completely above and beyond. Not only was she easy to work with throughout the entire planning process but she made every step of the way easy to navigate. Wedding planning is definitely stressful, but MJ made the whole thing look easy and honestly made it fun. I was amazed by her attention to detail, ability to be in 1,000 places at once on the day of the ceremony, clear and concise communication, and upbeat, positive attitude. She made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with this wedding season, for which I am extremely grateful. She has a gift for this work. If you're debating on whether or not to go the extra step for Day of Coordination, I can confidently say I would not have been nearly as relaxed, happy, or calm on the day of my wedding without MJ. Wow! Just wow! Erin and Logan's wedding was beyond our wildest dreams! How in the world the staff at Ashton Hill Farm can take a vision and make it become so much better in reality is beyond me. MJ (Day of Coordinator extraordinaire) the organization, your ability to communicate and see issues before they occur, keep us on track, help us stay within our budget, connect us with vendors and help us communicate with them, think of every single detail, and so much more is second to none. You are so gifted and the exact right person for us! In addition, you brought a smile and a sense of calm every step of the way. There was never a moment that I didn't believe that we were a team and that we had this - you are masterful! This mother of the bride thought that while the venue itself is beautiful, our experience with every single staff member throughout the entire process was second to none!

Ashton Hill was amazing from the moment I found them. I was planning for out of state and they could not have been more incredible even over zoom. The place is gorgeous, their pictures really capture exactly how it looks. MJ was our day of coordinator and I can’t thank her and the staff enough for the help they gave us. Our day was great and all our guests said nothing but amazing things. The weather was beautiful and so we had an outdoor dance floor and they had the fire pits going. I could not have had a more perfect day and Ashton Hill was a big reason for it.

I'm a wedding photographer so this is a pro's perspective: Not only is Ashton Hill Farm a beautiful venue, what really sets it apart is the staff. The attention to detail and level of professionalism is unmatched for the area. The owner, Megan, is very hands on and the services they offer through Anne + Ellis (their planning team) are unique and beautiful. Every person I've spoken with and worked with at AHF is knowledgable and kind and I never hesitate to recommend this venue to couples. Getting married at Ashton Hill farm, whether in their Cedar Rapids or Galena locations, will result in a beautiful and (most importantly) stress-free wedding day.

Ashton Hill made for the perfect venue for our wedding day! If I could give the staff a million stars, I would. Planning a wedding in 2020 wasn't easy, but they made it effortless and gave updates right away if any mandates or updates were to occur. I am so thankful for them being there any moment we had a question, concern or just needed to check in! Ashton hill offers amazing views both indoors and outdoors, and provides you with a great back up plan if you aren't able to have your ceremony outdoors due to weather. Highly recommend!

Did a good job. Of course things didn't go as planned but I knew that was going to happen. Nothing ever goes as planned. Only thing I would say was disappointment is the restocking of things that were empty or low and also pulling blinds down so sun wasn't in our guests eyes. I did not find out any of this till after wedding. So it was disappointing to hear. Otherwise everything was great and staff was very nice!

We held our ceremony and reception at Ashton Hill on 11/24/2019, and it was perfect. I can not say enough good things about the Ashton Hill Farm staff. I'm pretty sure they were more excited about my wedding than I was - endless enthusiasm, great customer service, and flawless attention to detail. They really prioritize your experience and took so much stress out of planning a wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to make wedding planning easier, and is wanting extraordinary wedding photos. Our photographer and videographers loved the space and outdoor scenery! I also used their preferred vendors list to choose a caterer and hair stylist and was really pleased with the quality and experience.

We got married on 9/21/19 and Ashton Hill was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. We choose to add on the Day of Coordinator service, and it was 100% worth it! We met with Chelsea the Day of Coordinator twice in person before the wedding and exchanged multiple emails with her. She was very responsive and helpful every time we talked with her. She is so bubbly and has the best personality, she was so easy and great to work with! The venue was so beautiful and luckily, had the perfect set up for an indoor ceremony. During the day of the wedding our families did not have to worry about anything! Chelsea took care of set up, working with the vendors when they arrived, making sure the ceremony went smoothly, kept the night moving, packed up all our gifts, and took care of all the tear down. We are so happy we choose Ashton Hill for our special day and wish we could relive it over and over! We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married or needing a big event space!

Ashton Hill is the best wedding venue in Iowa, we are from Des Moines but held our wedding there because there was nothing closer that measured up. Chelsea made sure everything ran smoothly and they were so kind and accommodating throughout the entire process. Not to mention it is freaking gorgeous. We recently got married at Ashton Hill Farm and I can't thank them enough. Chelsie was incredible to work with. She helped organize our big day and was great and giving us tips/ideas. There are so many things to remember and it was nice to have someone one looking out for us. Ashton Hill is a gorgeous venue. Our family and friends still tell us that we got married at one of the most beautiful venues they've ever seen.

We absolutely loved holding our wedding at Ashton Hill Farm! It is a beautiful venue and can accommodate large guest counts. We had our wedding there in August and the weather was beautiful to hold our ceremony outside. The photos all turn out great in the great scenery they have on-site. They did a wonderful job taking care of our guests the entire night. Megan & Chelsea were such a joy to work with throughout the entire process. They are super quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend this venue! Another lifesaver is that they offer a day of coordination service which made our lives so much easier! Chelsea is so sweet and makes the day run so smoothly! Such a perfect day with the help of all the Ashton Hill Farm staff!

Megan, Brian, Chelsea and the Entire Ashton Hill Team - These folks were complete rockstars throughout the entire process. Ashton Hill Farm in Cedar Rapids was my dream venue! A unique, modern and exquisite barn surrounded by Iowa country side was the perfect location for both our ceremony and reception. The owner and staff helped to ensure our day would be perfect and it was beautifully executed. Wow, what can I say about Megan and her team at Ashton Hill! They are amazing and this is truly one of my favorite places to host a wedding or other event. I am a wedding planner, and I have been lucky enough to have many events at AHF. Besides the fact that the venue is simply stunning, the staff is friendly and the place has so many amenities. It's a beautiful backdrop whether it's rain or shine. The getting-ready rooms are lovely and the rest of the space was thought out incredibly well. They are really easy to work with, prompt, and organized. Its really great too that you can get a discount on cake from their sister company, Take the Cake. I love their bar service too because they make it so easy for couples to order and stay within their budgets. You will not be disappointed if you book your wedding here. I sincerely cannot wait for all of the future events that I will have with Megan, Chelsea, and the rest of the AHF team. <3

We couldn't have asked for a better venue! Not only is Ashton Hill absolutely gorgeous, but SO much is included in the price when you book with Ashton Hill! We had our wedding on a Friday, which meant we also were able to be in the venue from 8 AM - 5 PM the day before to set up for no extra cost. We were able to hold our ceremony in their outdoor ceremony area and reception indoors, which made the day so much more seamless. Ashton Hill also has so many different furniture pieces that you are able to use when you book with them, which saved us money when it came to other rentals! Finally, the staff at Ashton Hill was SO helpful in the planning process, and made sure our day was everything we wanted it to be. The day before and day of the wedding, staff was there to help if needed but was never "in the way" or trying to run the show. We cannot say enough good things about Ashton Hill!

Ashton Hill is the most perfect wedding venue!! First of all the space is a one of a kind. Big enough to fit large crowds, bridal suite and grooms room all included, and a cozy loft! Our wedding was in March, and even though it was too cold to go outside and enjoy all the outdoor amenities they offer, it was still perfect! Huge Windows light up the building with natural sunlight and the gorgeous modern chandeliers make the space pop. We got so many compliments at our wedding about how fantastic the venue was. Megan and The staff at Ashton hill are what makes this venue even better. They work hard to help you with your every need during the planning process and on your day! The truly care about making your day as special as possible! We are SO happy with our choice to have our wedding there and we would choose it again and again!

Working with Megan and the rest of the Ashton team was what every bride hopes for out of their reception venue! Megan was quick to respond to questions and willing to be flexible in order to provide the experience my fiance and I were hoping for. Day-of, the staff exceeded my expectations. Brian ensured we had what we needed for getting ready/setup. During the reception the bartenders were friendly and the other staff were constantly checking to make sure everyone was happy. I've been to weddings where the bathrooms were disgusting by halfway through the reception, but the staff at Ashton ensured everything was spotless throughout the entire event. We unfortunately even had kids who came down with the flu literally during the reception, and the Ashton staff were prompt and professional in cleaning it up. I barely knew it happened until afterwards! Not to mention, the place is incredibly beautiful. The Bridal Suite was the perfect place for us girls to get ready, the loft provided an adorable spot for a Kids Zone, and the main room was beautifully lit and provided the perfect ambiance. I absolutely loved every part of our day there, and would highly recommend it!

I booked Ashton Hill Farm because it is the perfect mix of rustic and glam. The spaces were all so perfect for our wedding, and we loved that it was all in one, so our guests didn't need to leave. I loved that they had a bridal suite for getting ready, which was so girly and glam. All the staff, especially Megan, were so accommodating and helped out on the day of. It was the best choice of venue with so many guest compliments!
