Augie did both our engagement shoot and our wedding photos. My husband and I had spoken to multiple photographers, but after a phone call with Augie we were set. Augie was easy to communicate with and we found common ground on so many things so quickly, we felt like we could be friends with him. Both my husband and I are fairly awkward in front of the camera, but after a little time with Augie--you become a seasoned pro. Our photos were absolutely beautiful, engagement and wedding. So beautiful that after showing a friend our engagement photos she wanted to recommend Augie to someone she knew rather than her own wedding photographer! On the wedding day, our wedding party was impressed by Augie’s personable nature--he learned just about everyone’s names in a matter of minutes. We got all of our photos back so fast--impressively fast, and Augie already has what we thought to be a short return time. Our photos are stunning. Our venue was indoors and a little on the darker side, and Augie got so many great shots of the little moments on our big day. We are so excited to have these memories displayed in our home for years to come.

This review is longggg over due. My wedding photos were a huge deal for me. Yes, the dress needs to be nice, my floral arrangement was beautiful, but the things I'm actually going to want to come back to are the photos. Augie is the best in the business. Literally you will not ever find a better photographer, ever. Ever. We met him in person at Palm Event Center for a "Romance in the Vineyards" night where they host all the different wedding vendors to come in, set up and show off their work to all the couples getting married. Despite an entire row of photographers, we were instantly drawn in when we saw his display. After talking to Augie we definitely liked his vibe and exchanged info, and basically never looked back. Always quick to respond to messages throughout the wedding planning process. He's been doing this for years, so when it came to logistics of the day he had great input and just helped everything flow so well. Not once was I worried about my photos. Especially during a time where anyone feels like they call themselves a "photographer" with their instagram filter, my husband and I had seen a lot of friends get married and try to push their photographer on us, only to hate their own photos. Definitely not the case for us. In fact our only problem is trying to decide which ones to print since we love them all. One of the most important aspect in a wedding to me is photography. You invest so much into a wedding, why wouldn't you want to capture and re-live your milestone day? Augie Chang's ONLY service is photography, and the quality of his product reflects it. While other vendors offer multiple services, Augie's only focus is capturing the moments that are important: your first kiss, first look, the way you look at one another, the candid moments. Not only does he capture the important moments, his attention to detail of HOW it looks matters to him. When my wife and I took our engagement photos in two locations, Augie knew exactly where and when to take beautiful pictures (when the sun sets and where the sunlight will strike), which speaks to how well he knows San Francisco photo spots! I was so impress with Augie when I first met him in his studio. I was sold when I saw his gallery of work and it is exactly what I want him to capture on my wedding day, and he had done that. He will teach you how to move, how to kiss your partner, how to look at the camera and your partner; everything you need to look great for the pictures. In addition, his engagement and wedding album is the nicest albums I've seen: the fabric of the album cover, the contrast and lighting of the pictures, and the timeline of every photo really brings me back to my wedding day. To reiterate what I mentioned earlier, Augie's only service is photography which speaks to the quality of his work and his knowledge and speciality to this aspect that I value the most. I would ONLY recommend Augie to be your photographer on your wedding day.

I wish I could give Augie 1,000 stars! He is incredibly easy to work with, has a great personality, is extremely professional and captures unbelievably gorgeous photos! He was the best part of our wedding day. When looking for our wedding photographer, we spent countless hours pouring over vendor lists, websites and galleries before selecting Augie. His photos stood out to me immediately for their natural beauty, romance and clever use of lighting and surroundings. From the first moment I reached out to him I knew he was the one - not only does he take amazing photos, he immediately responded back with a phone call and was incredibly helpful and easy to talk to. In all the days leading up to the wedding, Augie's organization and professionalism were evident in his regular check-ins, requests and reminders. Without even having met him prior to our wedding day (we selected California as a destination wedding), I had full confidence in Augie and absolutely zero concerns about our wedding day photography. On the wedding day, Augie and his assistant Dex showed up early and immediately got to work capturing the details of the day while making full use of all the beautiful spaces our venue had to offer. Augie made my groom and I feel so comfortable and at ease the entire day, even in some of our most intimate moments. He was a hit with all of our guests too and many people made comments to us about how much they enjoyed our photographer. The morning after the wedding I woke up to a sweet text from Augie with 4 teaser photos, and we received about 15 more by email just two days later. I LOVE that Augie does this and that we already have quite a few photos to share with family and friends that did not attend our intimate wedding. We can't wait to see the rest in just a few weeks! I HIGHLY recommend Augie. He is the best in every way and we just can't thank him enough for the forever memories he has captured for us and his professionalism throughout our planning and special day!
