Welcome to Bayou Barn! We're a third generation family owned wedding venue located along the historic Bayou des Families in Marrero, LA. With our large gardens and panoramic views of the bayou, our unique venue offers a stunning setting for your special day. Just 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans, we provide easy access to hotels, the airport, and New Orleans’ iconic nightlife. For your big day, let our full-service facility take care of every detail and wow you with quality catering and service plus attractions only found along the bayou. The enclosed Bayou Barn is furnished with wood tables and white chairs and features large doors and windows that overlook the bayou. Both the inside and outside of this classic structure are draped with festival lighting, which will light up the night for dinner and dancing. Sweeping gardens lead to a wooden deck with a pergola, which floats above the water and creates a breathtaking backdrop for your exchange of vows. You can also take advantage of our Doll House or Bridal Suite which has two rooms for dressing and prep before your ceremony. The beautiful gardens are perfect for taking photographs with your wedding party beforehand. We have two full bars, two stages, free parking, and we can accommodate up to a capacity of 1,200, by using our garden areas which makes our venue feel both intimate and grand. Our events are all-inclusive private rentals and come with a full range of décor, lanterns or floral arrangements, optional eco-ware or china and silverware, tenting, custom lighting, transportation, live music, and more. An in-house coordinator is available to be by your side throughout the process to plan and execute your dream event. This professional can assist you in booking wedding vendors such as live bands and DJ, limousines, live artist painters and cake designers as well as other vendors like cigar rollers, alligator handlers with live alligators, swamp fortune readers, stilt walkers, and fire breathers.     Meet our Executive Chef and Owner Tammy Friloux. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, she was acclimated to the concepts of customer service and quality at a young age. She earned a bachelor’s then a Master Degree and spent 15 years in the healthcare industry before purchasing her family's business in 2012. Tammy went back to school to obtain a culinary degree and afterward, began a farm-to-table menu whenever possible to provide fresh local ingredients in order to offer the best quality and experience possible. Bayou Barn prides itself on being able to cook fresh for their clients onsite and tailor the menu from scratch. The rustic barn on the bayou with real alligators swimming nearby coupled with the locally prepared menu, allows the venue to provide an authentic Cajun experience, quality food and great customer service not found elsewhere.

Bayou Barn provided the perfect setting for our wedding! The atmosphere was absolutely magical, with the bayou vibe adding a unique touch to our special day. Shayla went above and beyond to ensure everything came together seamlessly, and Tyler and Tammy were fantastic to work with. They were so responsive to our needs, especially since we live out of town, always answering our questions quickly via phone and email. The planning was smooth, and their support was invaluable. We couldn't have asked for a better venue – it was truly a wonderland. To top it all off, we had a surprise guest appearance during our ceremony when an alligator bellowed in the background, adding a fun, memorable moment to our celebration. We wouldn't change a thing – it was perfect!

If you are looking for a friendly and compassionate staff, a unique setting/experience, and a wedding to remember for EVERYONE, look no further, my dudes. My fiancé and I spent so much time sifting through venues looking for JUST THE RIGHT PLACE. Outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous background, a unique setting with lots of Louisiana flavor. A menu with a mix of everyone’s favorites, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, a venue that truly cared about our wedding day. It was challenging, but we have no regrets about choosing Bayou Barn. It’s been over a month since the ceremony, and people are still calling me daily about it. Everyone who attended (including my husband and me) said they wished it could have lasted longer, as everyone was sad to leave. They also said that they hadn’t been to a wedding like ours ever. Tammy and Tammy are such wonderful people and have something truly special going on in Marerro! What was a bonus for me and my now-husband is being able to support small businesses, as they source their food and flowers (and basically everything) locally. Bayou Barn is a hidden gem. I had my daughter's wedding here last month and we were not disappointed. This is a wonderful place to hold an event. The views from the barn are breathtaking at night. There are so many little details and special touches to the venue. They also have wonderful staff and excellent food. The owner is especially wonderful to work with. She went the extra mile to make sure our set-up and colors matched exactly. Thanks to Chef Tammy and her staff! We appreciate you so much.

I got married at Bayou Barn last month and I could not be happier with the turn out!! To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first but I’m so so glad that I listened to my husband, stuck with my gut and went for it! Our entire family is from Texas and we wanted to give everyone an authentic, fun, Louisiana experience that they would never forget and this place was a hidden gem. It made for the absolute best Louisiana wedding ever! While the overall building has a rustic feel, pretty much any style or theme can be done with a little creativity. I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to Tammy Landry, the amazing wedding coordinator they have on staff! She is hands down the most amazing, talented, life saver on the planet! We had planned to have our ceremony outside but being that the wedding was in September in Louisiana... we weren’t lucky enough to escape the rain. Tammy quickly moved everything inside and did not disappoint. If I can give one piece of advice it is to let her coordinate the wedding, this woman knows what she’s doing. From flowers to decor, she does it all. Thanks again to the owners and staff of Bayou Barn! You helped me and my family create the perfect wedding day and it is something I will treasure forever!

Bayou Barn treated us like family & far exceeded our expectations. Tammy & all the staff went above & beyond in ever aspect of our event. We had both our ceremony & reception at Bayou Barn. The care & details in the decorating alone was amazing! We received so many compliments from friends & family on how wonderful our big day was. I am an event manager with ALL ABOUT EVENTS. I managed a wedding and reception at Bayou Barn this weekend. Tammy and all of her staff did a fantastic job. We had some real challenges between the weather and other issues, and these folks really came through! Tammy has a great eye for décor, and with the help of several of her enthusiastic staff, her ideas for the ceremony site came out beautifully. All of the staff were friendly and energetic. Several of them asked me throughout the night if I needed anything or if they could help me and my event assistant in any way. It was great knowing they were there to lend a hand in between their duties. Thank you, Tammy and crew for partnering with us to create a successful and memorable event!

I was so lucky to find this venue. Our guests raved all night and all weekend about how fantastic the food was. They let us keep leftovers and almost all of it got eaten the next day. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on our wedding but we wanted to have good food. Tammy was an absolute joy to work with. We had a few specific food allergies that we had to work with and Tammy and crew were so helpful to make just a few custom plates for us. The staff on our wedding night were so nice to everyone. They even brought my husband and I plates of appetizers and drinks and we didn't even ask! Everything was great - better than I could have asked for.

I had not heard of The Bayou Barn until I started searching for venues. I am so happy that I found this venue. My outdoor ceremony was beautiful. The venue is already decorated with fairy lights, but Mrs. Tammy and the rest of The Bayou Barn staff went above and beyond for set up. My package had included white table cloths, wildflowers in mason jars, and burlap runners on the table. I did not expect them them to find roses in my wedding colors, hand paint bottles and little mason jars for tea lights in my colors and add flowers to them. They also made little flower arrangements for the groom and I to hand out to our mothers and my grandmother. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely happy for me. We choose to go with their DJ, Miss Heide. She was so much fun and also took pictures during the reception and had them projected in real time for the guests. We had 175 guests, and the venue felt comfortable with lots of room to dance and eat. Many of my guest commented that they loved the venue and it was one of the most beautiful wedding they had been to. I fully recommend this venue to any bride who is interested in a venue with a bit of the charm of the bayou country.

r expectations. We also agree that our in-house DJ (Heide) is da' bomb. Not only does she keep everyone dancing and the party going but she takes pictures and displays them on her screen during the event and sends them home with you the same night. I am very perticular and its hard for me to not have my hand in every detail. But the Bayou Barn did not disappoint. We found this gem of a place and it was exactly the look/feel/style we wanted for our wedding. It was so unique, none of our guests had been before. I loved that they would take care of food, decor, flowers, etc. It was hard for me to be hands off in the details. BUT, I'm telling you from experience trust them! It was flawless. The owners and staff are awesome and helpful. All of our guests loved the venue and staff. Also, if you're trying to pick your menu- get the voodoo shrimp pasta! It is phenomenal!

I recently had my wedding at the Bayou Barn and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. The venue was PERFECT for myself and my (now) husband. It's so rustic and charming! Every detail in the venue looks like it was taken out of the pages of Pinterest. I loved that the wedding packages are pretty much all-inclusive. The food is great also. The staff there is welcoming and professional. They kept the food and liquor flowing flowing all night to a rowdy group of 250 hard party goers. Their packages are awesome. You get an open buffet, open bar, full run of the venue (ceremony and reception), set up all of your decorations, servers, bartenders, etc. The only thing you really need to provide is your cake, DJ/band and any additional decorations you choose (but trust me when I say you don't need any). It really exceeded my expectations. If you're thinking of having a wedding here look no further! If you like the idea of an outdoor ceremony by the bayou on a huge wood deck with party lights and an indoor reception in a large barn, then this is your place! The food is delicious, the drinks were flowing all night, the service was impeccable and the decor was "Cajun/bayou" themed (including alligators swimming in the nearby bayou). The size can accomodate a large or small group and you can be as loud as you want (I know we were) without worrying about disturbing the neighbors. Loved having my wedding here and highly recommend it for anyone that is considering it.

I recently had my wedding at the Bayou Barn and had a WONDERFUL experience! The food was fabulous and everyone in that place is very friendly and professional. The ambience at the Bayou Barn is very very special with all the little touches and decorations. The staff, the food, the decor and the detail to which they went to make my wedding special really blew me away. I had a few last minute requests and Tammy was responsive, kind and amazing to work with. My friends and family had such a wonderful time that everyone is talking about how and when we can get back to the Bayou Barn for another go round. It was by far the best experience we had during the wedding weekend. Not only would I recommend this venue to friends, but I will be searching for a reason I can use as an excuse to throw another party here. HUGE thanks to Tammy and her amazing supportive staff for giving me, my husband, my family, and all my friends a night we'll never forget. Truly amazing.
