If you're looking for a unique, private, & beautiful place to have your wedding, look no further! I swear we explored every beach front resort/hotel on the East Coast. We wanted to find somewhere to host our wedding that felt intimate, had an all-inclusive wedding package, & would be a great family friendly vacation spot for our guests. The Beachview Club Hotel went above & beyond all of those expectations.
Let me begin with the hotel itself. This is a boutique hotel, with only 38 guest rooms. The atmosphere is tranquil & remote. We had 40 guests at our wedding, & it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves for a week! The hotel is just steps from a gorgeous beach. It has a great pool with plenty of seating surrounding it. The two fire pits were perfect for unwinding with our family & friends at night. They have free coffee in the lobby every morning, but they also provide a Keurig and K-cups in the room for you. There is a restaurant/bar right next door called The Beach House Restaurant, which serves delicious food & drinks (including breakfast). The rooms are extremely clean, & housekeeping came daily to make our bed, give us fresh towels, etc. The pictures do not do this place justice.
The staff- I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at the Beachview. I have never experienced the level of hospitality that we were given during our stay here. Every single person working at the hotel was welcoming, accommodating, & friendly. They knew all of our wedding guests by name. We actually spent time just hanging out with them in the lobby. They truly treated our guests like family. All of our wedding guests just raved about how kind the staff were & agreed that they had never had such great service at a hotel.
BRIDES/GROOMS- We had our wedding at the Beachview Club Hotel in June of 2023. We agreed (as did our guests) that we could not have chosen a more perfect place to tie the knot! The Beachview has multiple wedding packages to accommodate any wedding size (from elopements all the way up to large parties). We wanted to have a destination wedding, but we wanted somewhere that still felt private & did not have a lot of strangers in the background of our photos. We also wanted to be at the beach but didn't want to have the reception on the sand. This venue checked every box. We got married under the beautiful live oak trees with the ocean in the background. Our reception was on the lawn under the trees, & we ended the night by running right into the ocean with our guests! They also do have a ballroom that can be used as an indoor reception option. The wedding planner took care of literally EVERYTHING for us. I was probably the calmest bride ever thanks to them, especially on the day of the wedding. All I had to do was get pretty & show up, & they handled the rest. If you're dreading the stress of planning a wedding, then leave it to them. I promise you'll be in good hands! I had so many questions, & they took the time to answer all 5,000 of them (& they were SO patient while doing so). They thought of every small detail. When we arrived, we had champagne, snacks, & a handwritten card waiting in our room for us. The night of our wedding, we returned to rose petals on the bed, a bottle of champagne on ice, & chocolate covered strawberries. The catered wedding food from The Beach House was so tasty. All of the vendors that they booked were phenomenal. The wedding day looked like a scene out of a movie!
We loved Beachview as our wedding venue from Day One! The event lawn is so beautiful - you don't have to sacrifice the view of the Georgia oaks for the view of the ocean. The staff there was fantastic with every request. The only thing we struggled with was getting responses from the event staff prior to our event. As soon as we were about a month out, it was much better, but it was a bit stressful during the early planning stages.
Loved the view behind the Beachview club hotel! We spent one Saturday over in Jekyll, I am from Cook County about 2.5 hours away. We looked at venues all day. It was 6pm and our last stop was the Beachview club hotel and my husband said I'm sitting in the truck on this one, come get me if you want me to look at it. Me and my best friend went to the back and I was like, this is it!! The exact views I was looking for!! So beautiful under the big oak trees! Definitely recommend!
What a beautiful place! Beachview Hotel has the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony and reception! We knew we wanted to get married outside and when we visited and saw the trees we were sold! We got so many compliments from our guests about the venue. The hotel staff was great about making sure our guests were comfortable and happy. And we could not have been happier with our Beachview Weddings coordinator, Gail Townsend. Gail truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She was easy to touch base with, was very helpful with any questions or concerns, and was perfectly kind and professional. Beachview provides everything you would need, sets it up, and breaks it down which made everything so easy for us leading up to the wedding and for my family when it was all over! We did hire an additional day-of wedding coordinator who managed all the details. Our big day truly felt like a fairy tale thanks to Beachview's beautiful venue and hardworking coordinator, Gail!
It's hard to describe how wonderful Leigh and the staff of the Beachview are, but to sum it up--perfection. Not only is the setting absolutely gorgeous, but they went above and beyond to make it look amazing for our wedding. The staff is responsive and punctual, but more than that, they were upfront about pricing and helped to make our wedding unique. Add that to Leigh's ability to stop rain and make a wedding ring (that I forgot to take out of the room)appear and you have all the makings of a magical day!
My wedding was gorgeous! As far as location, this is a very beautiful place with very friendly staff! My only problem was getting ahold of the wedding cordinator there too answer my questions. WE also had some issue with the sound system we rented through them. I asked the wedding cordinator if we could use music in a cd as well as live and she assured me that we could. however, the morning of the wedding the sound guy told my fi that he didn't bring the right equipment because he didnt know we needed a cd! it all worked out in the end!
My ceremony couldn't have been more beautiful than it was here! Absolutely breathtaking! The Beachview Club helped me to have my dream wedding!
I chose the Beachview Club for our wedding in October 2010. After looking at other venues on Jekyll and St. Simons Islands - hotels, public spaces, private properties - The Beachview Club offered a beautiful setting, with a venue coordinator with decades of experience.
PROS:
- Beautiful setting for ceremony and reception
- Experienced wedding coordinator to manage vendors and details
- Great honeymoon suite with jacuzzi
- Great other staff - helped us with setting up a fire pit, and with noise management toward the end of the after party
CONS:
- The venue is technically a motel, which doesn't have a very classy feel to it
- My specific coordinator did not reply to emails in a timely manner - some emails went unanswered for up to 4 weeks (with email and voicemail reminders); she did upgrade our reception chairs because of the lack of response - so we were compensated
- Jekyll is a national park, so it costs money to get and stay on the island
- Only one working bathroom for all guests, and it's a hike from the reception; had to rent a (nice) porta potty station at $850 to support 85 guests
