I didn't want a normal hall or church social hall. I wanted a barn type venue. They have three different options to pick from. We had the beautiful Western Barn. Everyone commented on how beautiful it was and how they loved the food. We chose the brisket and grilled chicken. The brisket was tender and the grilled chicken had great flavor and not dry at all. The staff is amazing. We had a major hiccup with a fire down the road, which closed both directions into the farm. Im not sure who came up with the idea, but they made a plan and had guests, including the groom, go to the theater on 36th and Cornhusker. The got their gators and shuttle running and picked up the groom and guests. What could have been a ruined or canceled wedding, went on and only about an hour late. Kudos to them!

My husband and I got married at the Bellevue Berry Farm in August of 2020. Zach was so great to work with. He was personable and easy to get a hold of (which was huge). One of the main reasons we chose the farm for our venue was because we had adults and children attending and it’s a great family friendly area with a ton of space. I would highly recommend having any event there.

The owner and sons were so helpful and understanding! They made our day special and went with the flow when we asked for things. The venue was beautiful and all set up for us! Couldn’t have chose a better place and it was super affordable!!!

We got married in the Western Barn, and it was a beautiful venue for 250 guests. We would highly recommend it. BBF is very professional. Their meals were better than expected for the price, and their bartending staff handled our special request for signature drinks with grace—they even improved upon the recipes we provided. The grounds are gorgeous and perfect for a fall wedding.

The entire event was unbelievable. It blew all of our expectations and we just had the most incredible day. Tyson and the team helped make everything so smooth and stress free. We loved that they allowed us to come in Friday and all day Saturday. We have had so many people rave and go on and on about how great the food and pies were.

Please read the full review as there are different ratings for each part of the wedding experience. I want to make this as honest as possible as parts of this place were amazing and other parts fell short.
First off let's start with the great! Deb (their decorator) was incredible and really the saving grace of our wedding. She went above and beyond and was well worth the investment. She made the day stress free and incredibly beautiful. If you are going to have a wedding here, USE HER. Thanks again Deb!
The food was also excellent as were the bartenders the night of.
When we first decided to have our wedding here, we worked with someone completely different than who we ended up dealing with. The original person and the owner Ed were extremely helpful.
They have a (newer) wedding coordinator and we had some major communication issues. At one point we hadn't heard back from him for two weeks. They also booked our rehearsal for the day before our wedding and a week before the rehearsal we found out that they booked a wedding at the same time several weeks after booking our rehearsal and didn't tell us. (Not a huge issue as they did let us do it in a completely different building, but we only found out because our decorator let us know). When we brought up the frustration with all of the lack of communication the coordinator promptly started making excuses and blaming us... No joke, I started a list titled "Things the Bellevue Berry Farm Told Me." At one point he even told me, "well, most people don't have the rehearsal on Friday, they do it on Thursday," and my favorite "Most people have the rehearsal somewhere else, not the venue."
We ordered our selections for the taste testing and again, he never communicated with us that you can only taste test what they served the weekend prior. So, while we did get to test some of the items we were wanting, we did not get to taste everything we had asked for. You even have to fill out a sheet of what items(4-6 items) you want to try, so I am not quite sure why they even have you do that.
To recap: the place is beautiful, food was good and the decorator is worth every penny. Communication is awful and be ready to roll with the punches.

We held both our ceremony and reception at the Bellevue Berry Farm. We and our guests loved the venue. They were great about answering any questions. We chose the venue based on it being one of the cheaper venues that could hold our size group. They handle all the alcohol and food which may it very stress free not having to deal with multiple vendors. Everyone raved about how awesome the food was. They do have multiple barns and outdoor locations for the ceremony, check them out!

The only complaint I really have is the fact that they forgot my wine but as soon as the figured out that he ran to the store and got it free of charge and apologized for what happened. Such a laid back atmosphere. Beautiful scenery. Helpful staff. Everyone loved the food!

I have very mixed feelings about the Bellevue Berry Farm. The price was good for everything you get. However, 22% tax on everything is very high in my opinion. Everything is an add on, for example $50/hr for rehearsal, $100 for a bartender, $100 to bring in a DJ etc. The food was excellent! My biggest complaint is that the bartenders put out two tip jars that were labeled cowboys and cowgirls, who can tip the best. My guests were under the assumption that we would be getting that money. This lead to guests putting large bills in the jars. When the staff was confronted about it, they refused to give us any of the money that the guests had intended for us to receive. Ty who is the owners son was very unprofessional in regards to this problem. There was also an employee smoking pot on the back deck during my reception. Zach and Ed were great to work with and easy going. Just be sure to ask a TON of questions and get it all in writing.
response 07/02/2016
The 22% that we charge on all the parties is both tax and gratuity together, and this is c...
learly stated in all the paperwork and contract forms and also explained to people before they book. The other costs for a rehearsal for a separate day ($50 per hour), $100 for a bartender for 100 people, and a D.J. fee of $100 to bring in a D.J. or a band is clearly stated and discussed with people before they book. We actually had to have two bartenders for this party as there was a lot of drinks served, and we did not charge extra for this bartender. We are glad to here the food was excellent, and we get many compliments on the food. The bartenders always set up a voluntary tip jar in front of the bar, where they serve they drinks. At this party the bride and groom set up their own tip jar at their head table, which is fine and many parties do this, the problem began when their wedding planner moved the brides and groom tip jar (labeled for the Bride and Groom)to the bar without asking the bartenders, and they were so busy to realize this until when the party ended. There shouldn't have been any confusion for the people to read one tip jar that says for the Bride and Groom, and the one right in front of the bar for the bartenders, that was there from the start of the party. Also the Brides and Grooms tip jar was sealed like a piggy bank, so nobody could take money from this jar. So at the end of the night, there was some intoxicated people form the wedding party that demanded that they should receive half of the bartenders tips. They were also accusing them of stealing tip money meant for the Bride and the Groom. The bartender (my wife) said that the only tips in the jar were 1's and 5's and the bartenders do clear money from their jar during the night as they get filled. Sometimes when people drink they do and say some crazy things, but of the 1000 or so parties that we have done at the farm this was a new one. The bartenders only ended up with less than $90 total in tips, so this wasn't that much money to begin with, and I actually gave the Bride $60 out of my own pocket the next day, to try and make them happy, but explained that I would not be able to keep bartenders if they had to share their tips at the end of the night. I don't think I acted unprofessional when my bartenders are getting accused of stealing tips out of there own tip jar. Another thing that was weird is that they were accusing them to me the next day after the party, and I asked them if they had opened up their Bride and Groom piggy bank and see if that money was in there. They told me that they had not opened it yet! I'm not sure what they saw on the back deck, supposedly an employee smoking pot, we also had another party at the farm that night, with a lot of people at the farm, all the same we apologize for that and do not allow this at the farm.

The Bellevue Berry Farm was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony and reception. They have many options as to where you can have your ceremony/reception, plenty of food options, and the ability to be able to do your own thing.
They have a wedding planner that you can use through them, but we did not. We wanted to be able to do everything ourselves so there was no need to have someone else plan it. I have seen her work, decorations, and it was beautiful. If you are planning to not use the wedding planner, then you need to be on top of things by calling them and asking questions. They didn't call me to make sure I had everything. When I did call them they either answered or called back that same day. They always had answers to my questions or put me in touch with someone who could answer the question, right down to the size of each table!
We felt very taken care of there and love every moment of it.

We rented the Western Barn for our reception and our guests had an absolute blast. The barn is already decorated so not having to worry much about additional decorations was a huge relief on our part. The food is all prepared on site by Cowboy Ed and was absolutely delicious. Ed was very helpful when it came to aiding us in our planning but the night of the wedding his son was our go to guy. When interacting with him it seemed like we were totally wasting his time and he had better things to do. He also helped with the bar tending and several of our guests mentioned his rudeness when interacting with him. He also let us know that day that because we had rented the barn for 6 hours (5-11) we had to have absolutely everything out at 11 or we would be charged an additional $150 which was fine but it would have been nice to know that when we had talked to him a week before the wedding. Besides those few negativities, I would absolutely recommend the farm for a reception, the atmosphere is just too fun to pass up.

We really enjoyed having our wedding here! We had access to the whole farm, so the kids spent a lot of the night playing on the pirate ship and the playground. There were a couple hiccups with setting up, but the staff took care of everything we asked them to. We did a more relaxed wedding, so this was the perfect spot! Our guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well!

My husband and I just had our reception at the Bellevue berry farm on June 20. I had the greatest time and we have received so many compliments since then from friends and family who said the good was great and the venue was beautiful. I had read reviews prior to booking with them about how people were frustrated with the staff being unreliable. I was very upfront with them and made sure that all of my requests were put in writing. I did not have any problems and cowboy Ed followed through with everything he had promised us. We brought in our own DJ so I cannot vouch for the farms DJ, however, the dance floor was plenty big and the sound carried great.

Great venue if you are looking to have a rustic wedding. We loved the laid back atmosphere and have received many compliments about the venue from our family and friends. The food was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is that you have to reach out to them to get everything decided and we figured out that it was easiest to go there in person to work out the details. We are very happy with our venue choice though, and it was the wedding we both wanted.

Both my husband and I were very disappointed with this venue! We were on a semi-tight budget so decided on Bellevue Berry Farm-Buena Vista Barn. From the beginning we had a terrible time getting a hold of someone, anyone to talk to about viewing and reserving the space and all the wedding details that go along with it. We’d set up appointments and they wouldn’t show up. Once it got closer to our wedding date, I hired their on-site wedding coordinator for an additional $300. I did that for peace of mind so that I would have someone I could get in touch with since no one else there was reliable. The day of the wedding the food was ok. My bridesmaid found mold on her bread bun, but the margaritas were great! The worst part was that on the contract it stated that we had the venue for 6hrs and then we had to clean up and take all our decorations out that night – which was fine. We rented it from 5-11. During our reception they told us that the dj and all our decorations had to be packed up and out of there AT 11. So we had to start packing up at 9:30 or get fined an extra $150 if we were still packing up at 11. That ruined our night. I don’t recommend this venue because of all the problems I listed above. Please beware.

We have three of us that take care of the customers for the weddings and parties. Two of ...
us take care of the phone calls and I do all the emails if any one needs help or has any questions. I do apologize if you had a hard time getting ahold of people, but we do return phone calls and answer all the emails sent to us. We do apologize also if someone found mold on their buns, we do check every one and obviously one was overlooked. We do have the policy that is clearly stated and explained to the parties, that the rental is for six hour time frame from when your guests arrive to when everyone is out of the building. If the parties need or want extra time its $150 per hour extra. This is also stated in writing and told to all the parties, so this isn't a fine its an option that people can reserve ahead of time or decide the night of the event. We have to pay our bartenders and staff for extra time and $150 per extra hour is a reasonable charge if they want to keep the part going.

The location was beautiful and exactly what I wanted for my "shabby chic" wedding. It also made for beautiful pictures. However, the staff were completely unorganized, and when asked questions that I believe any wedding venue should know the answer to, they responded with "I'm not in the wedding business." If that's how they feel, then they need to stop holding weddings at their establishments. Their barns are air conditioned, but I definitely recommend not holding a summer wedding there. As soon as you get more than 50 people in the barn, it gets HOT!!! I had 250 guests, rented 2 coolant systems and 6 large barrel fans and it was tolerable at best.

We have a few customers that think that the wedding planning is part of what they are payi...
ng for, we are the venue and catering facility. We do have an independent decorator/planner that people can hire if they need help to figure out decorations or logistics of the wedding day. We are very knowledgeable and answer all of the questions related to the venue, ceremony areas, food and beverage questions, and also simple decorating questions. We can also recommend D.J's and accommodations to nearby hotels. So we do cover the bases to make this an easy and stress free process on their special day, or we have other vendors that we can recommend to the parties to take care of these things. Of Course we are in the wedding business and have done over 1000 weddings at the farm, we are just not the wedding coordinators, but do have one that we can recommend to you, some parties do this themselves, or some bring in their own. We do have air-conditioning in all the buildings and this works great, when the doors are closed, but just like any building cant keep up when they are left open. We also recommend that on very hot months that people don't use candles as they add extra heat to the building.

If it sounds too good.....It Is!!! The owner claims that all of your accommodations will be met. Beware this is to sucker you in. If you don't have it all in writing good luck. I purchased table covers, decorations, and special setups for DJ and wedding party. Then just 2 weeks before the wedding we find out they have redecorated & reorganized the location. (Naturally they want to charge more now.) The reasons they give are a bunch of BS, excuses and lies. Don’t make your reception plans any longer than about the day before or they will charge you extra for it. They will try and change things to fit their own needs without any regard to your needs. Well, so much for it being the bride’s special day. They are making property upgrades so the way it looks when you book it, will not be what you get. I do not suggest this venue unless you want more stress on your wedding day!
response 07/23/2016
Yes we do continually update, refurbish and try to make the lodges nicer each year, I thin...
k that most places do this to improve their businesses. We added a backdrop curtain with lights to the building that everyone else have loved, and also added some new landscaping and planters to the outside ceremony area. We don't charge extra for these things that we consider permanent improvements. All of our costs are laid out in writing on our worksheet, and our list of prices, and clearly stated in our one page contract that prices can increase up to 10% per calendar year due to inflation and rising costs.

Emailing was fine for contact but when we went to go look at the venue we were stood up. No one was there to talk to us or to show us around. I called my contact twice with no answer. We try to wear a lot of hats and do work as hard as we can to try and avoid these situations. 99% of the time we do have one of us available 6 and 1/2 days a week to show the lodges and answer questions that people might have. Again sorry for this situation and we are working to better this area.

If I were only reviewing the food, this would be five stars. The food is great!
However their customer service is sadly lacking.
They are friendly before your event, I always had the owner answer his phone. He always said he would accommodate all our requests. The day we set up every one was friendly and helpful, except the son. He acted as though everything we needed or were doing was putting him out. Things his father agreed to accommodate us on he did not like, this happened On other things. One family member would tell us one thing another one would say the opposite. Or things that had been discussed earlier they were all perturbed about the day of the event.
I was also told the place would be clean and all our tables set up before we got there. This did not happen. They actually had to search for tables after we got there. Some family members and I spent hours setting up and decorating. The next day (the day of the event) they had several tours of people come thru. We were never told this would happen, a little communication would be nice. I also don't feel it's appropriate they take credit for the decorating.
During the reception when we needed to break some tables down no one would help. The DJ helped and I have to say was a shining star the whole time.
Also their reception space they say accommodates 350, but they only have 170 ceremony chairs, so where are the rest of your guests supposed to sit? We told them how many guests we were expecting many, many times, they didn't do anything to have seating for them. We asked them to bring some picnic tables and they did but not as many as we asked for. There were still several guests who stood.
At the end of the night the son who was bar-tending disappeared. Not one word to anyone. The rest of staff also had disappeared.
All this being said we had a wonderful, lovely ceremony and reception.
Thanks to all the hard work of friends and family.
However...
My recommendation if you are going to use this vendor is get EVERYTHING in writing! Anything you need or want, anything you want to move or set up or take down.
They really need to work on their social and communication skills.
response 07/23/2016
Our policy at the farm is to have the tables and chairs inside the barn that the party n...
eeds to set up the building, or we try and get them more if needed when the parties are setting up. So we do have the buildings clean and ready to go, but its either the parties responsibility or their decorators to set up the tables the way they like them. This is because everyone sets up the lodges differently for each wedding. We also don't move tables during the party unless parties have hired one or two of our people to do so, most parties have designated people to do this if they need too. At this time we didn't charge for the ceremony area and it was the parties responsibility to set up the chairs also for the ceremony. At the time we also had about 200 chairs designated for this area, so if parties needed more chairs, then they had to rent more for their needs. We have since changed this policy and now charge a fee for the ceremony area, and then we set out the chairs for the parties depending on what they need.
As the party winds down, yes some of the food staff and maybe a bartender go home depending on how busy it is, however there is always a manager at the party until the party ends.

The owner and his sons are very nice. They appear to very accommodating and flexible. We were told they would work with us on many of tye details we wanted regarding menu and entertainment. Ed even told my fiance and I that he would use our recipes. AND THEN, I put down a deposit. Since the day they ran my card I have had nothing but problems. They do not return phone calls, they will tell you they will call back once they are back in the office and never do. I was even told thatbis "not their responsibilty". I guess when someone says they will call me back that is what I expect. They will also tell you they work with a variety of wedding vendors ie Hotel, DJ services, wedding rental, etc. They may have these relationships but good luck getting the information from them!
I would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone! Ever!

Our wedding and reception was held here and we made multiple trips to the location to set things up. Each time we had to tell them who we were and what day our event was. Everything was very disorganized and caused me to be stressed on the day of the wedding because they had their farm events going on and they made my guests go all the way around to the front of the building and then had them going to the other wedding across from ours. We also had to ask for rags to clean off the tables because they were dirty and lightbulbs were burnt out and needed to be replaced prior to the wedding. Not only that we didn't even get to speak to the DJ until that day because he didn't return voicemails. The food was good but it was supposed to be out for 2 1/2 hours and they removed it after 1 1/2 hours. The parking lot was very congested due to the heavy rain the night before causing it to be partly flooded. Plus the parking was for the farm events and the wedding guests, not a good mix. We also had a farm hand walk in the building during the middle of our ceremony :( All that said and done the guests loved the food and had a great time so it all turned out good I guess. Hopefully, weddings not in October have not been this complicated.

The Bellevue Berry Farm was a wonderful place for our wedding. The staff was able to do everything we wanted, the food was delicious, the bar staff was fun, and it is the most affordable place we found in the Omaha area. You do not have to pay a rental fee for the building - only for food and the drinks provided. Also, you avoid the Omaha entertainment tax by going outside the city. Great place! Our guests were very happy!

My wife and I recently got married there and there were more than a few things that made us regret our decision.
1 - the food is AWFUL and you can't bring in your own catering.
2 - they NEVER call you back. we had to drive out there and hunt someone down every time we needed information.
3 - their DJ's didn't listen to anything we had to say and never played any music we requested
4 - we were told that we would get a refund for anyone that didn't show up to the wedding. we payed for 108 and only about 85 showed up. when we went for our refund, they told us they would not be issuing one.
I do not recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a special day. My wife was and still is very upset about how we were treated and we will never go back for any reason.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

I will have to say that by far Ed at the Berry Farm was so easy to work with. Anything we wanted or needed he tried to provide for us. The food was absolutely delicious and I heard that from many of our guests. Compared to other reception halls in the area it is definitely a good bang for the buck!

I found the prices to be very reasonable and enjoyed the 'country-like' feel. Overall, they were easy to work with, but I had a friend warn me to stay on top of them, and she was right. We had a glitch in communication regarding wine for the toast. We had purchased 5 cases of wine to provide a glass for everyone for the toast, and then they tried to tell me it could only be for the head table! But when I pulled out a printed e-mail where they had given me a different response, they conceded and we were able to have the wine for the toast, which the bartenders poured, and it went over fine. Also, you have to have a minimum of 200 people to rent the Western Barn, and we told them we would have 215, but when we went into decorate, the main floor was only set up of about 125. We were able to rearrange to get it closer to 215, but it was a squeeze. If you're having a bigger wedding, people will have to sit upstairs, which they failed to mention. That being said, the actual reception went over VERY well. The food was DELICIOUS and everyone had plenty to eat! We used their farm DJ and he was very easy to work with and did a nice job, plus he was reasonable. Clean-up was included in our cost, which was nice, because it was one less thing to think about. Overall, I would say they are a great place to have a reception...just stay on top of them and make sure you have things in writing!

Although perfect for a laid back reception, we were given different information each time regarding pricing, food, clean-up times, and decorating by the son and the father. We had our wedding reception at the Berry Farm's Western Barn in June. It was the perfect location for us, as we were looking for a laid-back venue where our quests could relax and have fun. The food is made on-sight, and tasted amazing!
Cowboy Ed was very flexible and willing to work with us to allow us access to set up and decorate the barn as soon as possible.
There are two playground areas for children to play in, hay rack rides are available, and haunted hay rack rides during the fall season.

This is the perfect place for a fall wedding. The barn is beautiful and the view is breath taking on a nice fall evening

Bellevue Berry Farm made everything easy. They were the venue and catering. The cost included food, all tables, chairs, and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol prices were reasonable. They allowed us to come in the day before and set up which was a life saver.

The Bellevue Berry Farm is such a beautiful place to have a reception, it makes for awesome pictures. We had it in the big western barn. It holds a large amount of guest and they also can do there own catering. Everything was great! :)
