2017 and their short film that they post on their anniversary every year lives rent free in my mind. I would go back to it all the time and watch it over and over again, marveling at the beauty of the video but also the unique style that Bilski productions brings to the moments they capture. There was something so genuine yet artistic about the video; from the music that is behind it, to the special sequences of the bride and groom getting ready separately and then finally coming together. John’s work was truly unlike anything I had ever seen of a wedding video. It breaks every mold yet keeps the heart of traditional wedding video style. I knew, hands down, that we must hire Bilski productions for our wedding the day we got engaged. Throughout the wedding planning process, John and his team were incredibly helpful not only in figuring out our vision for the day but also in recommending other vendors for us (it was through Bilski that we found our amazing wedding photographer, Janelle Brooke Photography!). The day of the wedding, the team comprised of Curtis and Craig, were the perfect additions to our day. They were easy going, approachable and they really understood the vibe of our entire bridal party and wedding reception. There wasn’t a moment I wasn’t looking up and seeing them capturing every detail effortlessly. It was inspiring and made me feel so excited to see the final product. I just know that it will have those distinct Bilski touches that I fell in love with when I first saw their work and I am forever indebted to know that our day was memorialized in the same way. were troopers in the weather battling the rain and wind so we could get the perfect shots for our film! They made jokes with us and had us laughing all day and we couldn't be more happy! Great and easy communication any time we had questions about the wedding and was great to work with for our timeline for the day of the wedding! Best videography team to work with!

final wedding date happened on the peak day of the Omicron variant (1/8/22). Communication with Bilski throughout the entire planning/postponing process was so fluent, empathetic, and reassuring. The day our wedding day came was so overwhelming due to the long anticipation and the extreme disappoint that came with the stress of it happening on one of the worst days with covid. But let me tell you- when John and his team rolled up all of the negative feelings I had dissipated- they were so excited and reassuring for our day! They got straight to work and not only were they the BEST videographers sharing my day with me, they were also the BEST care team constantly pumping me up and reminding me how special the day was going to be regardless of the storm that covid caused us for our day. They calmed my anxiety over and over and over again, we’re HILARIOUS during our absolutely freezing cold shoot in Bryant Park making us laugh and forget about how cold it was. From start to end of our day I couldn’t have asked to be surrounded by any team other than Bilski’s team. I can’t imagine any other team being as FUN, Cool, empathetic, PROFESSIONAL, and simply awesome. They really played such a huge role in turning my wedding day from covid disaster to a day to remember. While their presence during my day was beyond incredible, their artistic work in creating the most amazing wedding videos is indescribable. I have rewatched my video a million times and cried each time. When I think back to my wedding day, I constantly think about how much of our day was destructed by Covid.. but when I watch my wedding video all I see and feel are the incredible moments and I am beyond grateful to John and his team for capturing them! Being videoed can definitely feel uncomfortable but it was as if they weren't even there. John prompted us and let us just be ourselves. Every moment I envisioned in my head, he got. And though it’s amazing to get to work along side your friends, the truth is that they are just truly kick ass at what they do.  So flash forward and it’s my turn to get married now, to my now husband Kevin, and having Bilski Production be a part of our day was a no brainer. As a photographer I get constantly asked if I think my couples should book video and the answer is always without a doubt, yes. 

My whole teenage and adult life has been photographed because it’s what I love. But to moving memories to keep forever… that’s really special, and outside of phone videos, it’s rare we get this opporunity. Photo can capture feelings and moments frozen in time, but be able to hear a love ones voice and see yourself in motion is just really the greatest treasure ever. 

 Weddings are expensive. Believe me, I get that. I also know that sometimes booking vendors really comes down to budgeting for a lot of people. I think the mistake people constantly make is sacrificing what you LOVE (and know you will love) for something you love the price tag on more. For me, these memories feel really priceless. The truth is, I’d choose booking Bilski all over again even if it meant only ever seeing our 1 minute teaser video. It was SO worth it- and that’s what sets Bilski apart from the rest. The Bilski team goes above and beyond and always has your best interest in mind to deliver you the best quality that they can. I cry just from hearing our video. The music, the parts of the speeches and ceremony that they used and WHEN they used them with certain footage. Ugh. It’s just all so, so good and everything just feels so authentically US. I love you guys. Thank you for giving us the gift of a lifetime. Thank you for helping fill the emptiness of not being able to have my dad at my wedding, by honoring him in the most amazing way in our highlight reel. Thank you for making us feel like we are watching a movie trailer… to just be reminded how lucky we are that it’s our own lives, surrounded by some pretty amazing friends and family.

son, felt more like friends than just wedding vendors. I was nervous at first because I didn't know what to expect with being filmed but it all faded away immediately as soon as they arrived. They worked seamlessly with my photographer and I never noticed them throughout my wedding night. I actually had to ask friends and family where they were standing and if they were filming. Their videos elicit so much joy and emotion and I am SO happy we decided to book them. 2020 was a rough year for us all and they were such a pleasure to work with. When we switched the wedding venue to a backyard the month before the wedding day, they were so reassuring and ready to be apart of our special day. They are truly PROFESSIONALS at what they do and I am in utter amazement with our wedding video. I took forever to reply to their emails regarding information for the video and they were so patient and helpful. I have rewatched my video over and over again since the moment I got it. The behind the scenes videos we got were amazing. I haven’t gotten any professional videos back yet but his work speaks for itself! He took the time to answer all my detailed questions and worked with me to understand the day-of schedule. These discussions made our actual wedding day so enjoyable and surprisingly even relaxing. Everything came out amazing, not once did I feel like I was being filmed and had to act differently in front of the camera, it was all just natural. And now after receiving my wedding video, I couldn't be happier with it. Everything down to the minor details was captured on film. Having good people like that as part of the big day is HUGE. The two of them truly made us feel like celebs on the day and the product speaks for itself - we all literally look like movie stars! After the day of, they were also really fun to work with by being a great balance of collaborating with us and getting our opinions and using their creative genius to make the videos shine (have watched our highlight reel more times than I can count!)
