I am so happy Blissful Muse was available on our wedding date. Cortney is a wonderful person and does amazing work! She is so easy to talk to and I enjoyed getting to know her during my beauty trial. She is so incredibly talented. I only had a very vague idea of how I wanted to wear my hair and did not even have a photo to show her. I mentioned wanting to try a half-up/half-down style and showed her my dress and she worked her magic. It was perfect! Everyone I spoke with at Blissful Muse was very friendly and helpful. I also felt very comfortable communicating any changes from the trial I wanted, like trying darker make-up to match the spray tan I would have on the day of. Getting ready on the day of our wedding went so smoothly! Cortney is as efficient as she is talented. She styled hair for me, my MoH, mom and mother-in-law. She also did my make-up. All with plenty of time to spare before we did group photos. Everyone loved their hair. Patti joined Cortney and did everyone else make-up. They looked stunning! We all had such a great time listening to a Limited Too playlist and joking around. I felt so beautiful when we were done getting ready and I have Cortney to thank for that! My make-up lasted all night despite 3+ hours of dancing without touching up. I highly recommend Blissful Muse to anyone!

Im not one to be quick to give a negative review but I want to write this, not out of malice, but to help other brides avoid making the same mistakes I did. What follows is a detailed account of my interaction with this vendor. I contacted Ashley about doing my hair and makeup for my wedding on October 14th, 2017. She emailed me back confirming my date was available and that she had marked me in her calendar. Shortly after this, I received a confirmation from her website that I had been booked for this date. I immediately responded to her to ask for further details on trial run, payment, etc. After this point, I received no response from Ashley. I contacted her dozens of times, through her email, her website, her business phone number, her Instagram account and I received no response. I didn’t know what to do with her lack of communication but trusted that I had been confirmed based on the email she sent me. And here I quote her email word by word, “I’m on a business trip doing a market tour for Sephora right now but am still available for your date and reserved it on my calendar for you. Also, my google voice has been acting very weird. So thank you for emailing again, I'll send over an email within the next few days with more details. I'm so pumped about your wedding!” (needless to say, I never received the follow up email promised in here) On the week of my wedding, I continuously tried to contact her to confirm her assistance but again, no response, neither through email or phone or Instagram. In the end, she never showed up to my wedding. For all you brides that understand how stressful our wedding days can be, I cannot begin to explain to you how her not showing up threw everything into chaos. My bridesmaids had to, on the fly, put together my hair and makeup. Two days after my wedding, I contacted her once again through her instagram account letting her know my disappointment and wanting an explanation before I wrote this review. This time (once I had threaten her with a negative review) she responded immediately and instead of apologizing, chose to blame me for the entire situation and told me she would treat any of my reviews as malicious and delete them. For any of you brides looking into hair and makeup services for your wedding, PLEASE be aware of Ashley’s work ethic and unprofessionalism.
