cussed numerous times over the phone, over email and even included in the contract that the bridesmaid bouquets would have a cascade style. After paying thousands of dollars for florals you can imagine my disappointment on the morning of the wedding when they showed up with small bridesmaids bouquets that had no cascade to them. As soon as I said something Rachel acknowledged that she simply forgot and said she could try to adjust the bouquets but we both soon realized that there wasn’t enough time to redo all of these bouquets before we were due for photos. She tried adjusting one bouquet by pulling some vines out but it made it just look awkward and didn’t match with the other 6 bouquets. In the end, she admitted it was her mistake but made no attempt to offer any discount or minimal refund on the amount paid for the bouquets, even though the design concept was in the contract. We ended up paying full price without getting what we asked for. Making the mistake is one thing (we’re human, mistakes happen!) but not offering any compensation for it was disappointing. Overall, I would say they do a great job at general arrangements as the flowers themselves and colors were beautiful. However, if you are looking for anything unique or outside of the ordinary designs you should consider looking elsewhere.

Even when it came to about 2 months before the wedding and I went crazy bride and changed the centerpieces completely, they accommodated my centerpiece diy project, and never did I ever feel like I inconvenienced them at all! I nearly cried when I saw my bouquets, they looked almost exactly like my inspiration photos, they were absolutely gorgeous!I got endless compliments on all of our flowers! This was super helpful because while I knew the color scheme and general idea of what I wanted, I unsure of how to describe exactly what I wanted. She was able to gauge my preferences using those pictures and made me feel much clearer on the vision for the day. I couldn’t have been happier the day of the wedding. Because we were married on a Catholic “feast day” that is traditionally symbolized with red roses and white lilies, getting the flowers right was more than just a matter of “looking pretty;” they held a deep spiritual significance for my wife. Rachel and her team immediately understood this, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My wife and I know little about flowers, yet after a few basic questions about our general ideas, Rachel was able to come back to us with beautiful samples and a clear vision that surpassed our imagination. She primarily focused on the red roses and white lilies as requested, but also used her expertise to bring in hydrangeas, snapdragons, greenery, vines, and more. The arrangements and combinations were exceptional. For my wife and I at least, the saying about how “we didn’t know what we wanted until we saw it” rang true; it was uncanny how Rachel was able to accomplish that! We also knew from earlier reviews that Blooms Reston had experience working with a diverse variety of both religious and secular weddings, and they were excellent in suggesting florals specific for Catholic ceremonies (altar flowers, Flowers for Mary, etc.). Rachel was also excellent in her advice on how to save money without sacrificing quality; for example, her beautifully designed cascading bridal bouquet doubled as a sweetheart table decoration during dinner, bridal bouquets doubling during the reception as decorations and the bouquet toss, all possible thanks to the vases she provided alongside the bouquets. She even lent us her creative eye by looking at our wedding colors and suggesting which color linens and napkins would work best with the floral arrangements! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the florals, to the point where local guests had to act quickly (almost competed with each other!) after the reception ended to claim a centerpiece or other reception florals as take-home gifts (although we were able to take some florals home with us!). Whether it was our church using the ceremony flowers to decorate the altar at the masses following our wedding or guests taking a part of the wedding celebration home with them, we were happy not only with Rachel’s work on our wedding day, but also that it would live on beyond the day with both our parish and our family and friends. Their prices were very fair and reasonable. I had talked to several other florists already and none had been both priced well and such a pleasure to work with. On the day of, our flowers and arrangements arrived promptly and were exactly what I had envisioned. They looked and smelled beautiful, and our bridal party and guests had rave reviews for the wonderful blooms. The bouquets and arrangements were sturdily constructed and held up with good hydration throughout the night. I'm now in the process of drying the flowers for preservation, as they're much too beautiful to toss.

Rachel was amazing from start to finish, even after we changed dates due to Covid, and then changed venues (due to Covid again) at the last minute. d chatted a bit before the consultation about what I was thinking, and she pulled together some flowers for me to look at when I got to my consultation, which was very helpful. From the beginning, Rachel was absolutely amazing at making my half-baked vision come to life! We iterated a few times on what would be the final flower picks, and she was awesome at providing me options that worked within my budget and answering all of my questions. Her excitement to work on our flowers made me even more excited! When our flowers arrived at the shop a few days before the wedding, Rachel sent me a picture and I was thrilled to see everything coming together. When the big day came, Rachel came up to the bridal suite to show me everything and I almost cried because of how beautiful everything was! I was so happy to see her, and wish she could have stayed!! To me, the flowers were my favorite part of the wedding experience, and I can’t imagine a better florist to trust with my vision! My only regret is not investing the time or money into preserving my bouquet, because it was absolutely stunning!!

She was incredibly helpful in our first meeting with coming up with recommendations and ideas, and she was very easy to communicate with via email throughout the wedding planning process. Anytime I emailed her to update something, I received an immediate response. She delivered the flowers at the time we requested on the wedding day and was right on time. She is very kind and professional, and I enjoyed working with her! I would highly recommend her!

Surprisingly the flowers lasted seemingly forever. My bridesmaids kept their bouquets in water for up to two weeks after the wedding. Then one bouquet ended up a box, covered by decorations, sealed for five days. I took it out and placed it in water, where it lasted for another week. It was really impressive. I would and have recommended to all my friends.
