The Sheraton and specifically Roxann absolutely CRUSHED it! We had the most perfect wedding and were beyond happy!! All of our guests have raved about it being the best wedding they have ever been to. We had the ceremony on our own private beach island and then enjoyed the reception under the pavilion. Roxann was super easy to work with and very attentive. She let us create our dream wedding by adding our own personal touches and unique ideas. She was always looking out for me as the bride and made sure to do her best to get us the best deal. HIGHLY recommend!
We could not be happier with this venue! Nothing but absolute greatness! Beth, Jennifer, and Karen are true gems! Staff is very hardworking, passionate, and the resort is beautiful with so many options for your wedding. Our special day was seem less! I I
HIGHLY recommend if you want to get married in the Panhandle!!!
I couldn't be happier with our choice to have my daughter's wedding ceremony & reception at the Sheraton, PCB. The ceremony was held in the St. Andrews foyer and it was absolutely beautiful! What a great location with a great view. The reception in the St. Andrews ballroom was equally fabulous. Our catering manager, Sam Faya, went above and beyond to ensure that our function was perfect. She was great to work with and I found her to be very attentive and accommodating. We will treasure the memories for years to come.
Sam Faya & all the departments were fabulous to work with throughout the planning and all of the wedding weekend details!
After all the planning & investment by many, its been an amazing weekend and all the staff…bonfire staff, multiple golf cart (some unexpected) staff, front desk, housekeeping, catering - today/tonight’s staff -, Kathy, Jennifer (& various others!), the kitchen/server staff, housekeeping….actually, they provided or anticipated anything we needed!! All were amazing!!.. from planning phase to last minute accommodations or adjustments by the staff for the final event, it was lovely!! Thank you all very much to all involved!
Highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for a seamless & worry free event!!
This was a well hidden slice of heaven for our wedding. The size of the private beach was perfect for our intimate sunset ceremony. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure everything was in place and our visit enjoyable, to include leaving special treats in our room. Sam was very responsive in her emails, no matter how often I emailed her or how many times I changed the small details. She was patient and held my hand throughout the entire process. She made me feel as if my wedding was the most important event of the weekend, even though there were two other larger weddings. She kept saying no wedding is too small. On the day of my wedding, which was a Sunday evening, Sam sent me her personal cell number in case I had any questions, which I did. And she even came in to personally escort me to the beach area for the ceremony. Talk about personalized service!! That made me feel so good. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and there plenty of amenities to keep busy. The resort staff was very friendly and helpful. We are definitely returning to celebrate many anniversaries and other romantic events.
Sam at Sheraton was such a huge help in our wedding planning process! Not only were the grounds absolutely gorgeous, she was there to help every step of the way! It didn’t matter what time or what day of the week she always answered any of my crazy questions. She truly made our wedding day magical!!!
We were so happy with our wedding at The Sheraton. It exceeded our expectations and came together beautifully and smoothly. Karen and Sam were great to work with and were happy to make our dreams a reality, but also provided valuable insight and advice as well. It was a good value for everything that was included, and was such a beautiful setting for not only the wedding, but for a place for our guests to stay as well.
The Sheraton at Bay Point was the perfect venue for our 200+ guests. Everyone had a wonderful time. We worked with the catering manager, Katie O’Connor, at the Sheraton from the very beginning. She and our wedding planner, Stephanie Powers went over and beyond to make it a super special weekend.
They we easy to work with and the venue was BEAUTIFUL!
Loved having my ceremony & reception here! Everything was perfect!
Beautiful scenery! Very accommodating! Presidential and honey moon suites were everything we wanted!
My daughter, Molly, had her wedding ceremony and reception here on November 19. 2016 and it was nothing short of an amazing day! The resort has been beautifully remodeled and we had guests from out of town staying in over 20 rooms there. The staff at this resort literally catered to our every need and made it a wonderful stay for everyone. The main reason though for the 5 stars is their wedding coordinator/planner Jessica Giordano. She was simply fantastic! She worked nonstop with us from the day she came to Bay Point ( in May 2016) until my daughter walked down the aisle, including making sure everything at the reception was perfect. Jessica came to us at a very stressful time during the chaos of planning Molly's wedding. She was always so professional and genuinely excited to offer suggestions and advice, which was so needed and welcome. The one thing that she did on the day of the wedding that just blew me away, was the chairs! The staff had set up the white chairs for the ceremony. Unfortunately, they had not gotten the new ones in yet and what they had was pretty worn. Jessica, along with a nervous bride, took one look at those chairs and saw that just wasn't gonna fly. Within the hour, we looked at the pavillion.....180 shiny new white chairs! Don't know how she did it, but she truly saved the day! That is only one of the many things she did in going above and beyond for my daughters special day. We justcant thank her enough. Jessica is a treasure that Bay Point needs to hold on to. We were so blessed to have this amazing woman there for literally everything. I would highly recommend the Sheraton Bay Point Resort and their awesome wedding coordinator/planner, Jessica Giordano for any special event.
My wedding was simply amazing and one of the firsts held here... I'm going to start with Jessica Giordano. Where do I even begin? She is awesome, and she knows what she is doing. I don't live in Florida, so Jessica and I had a "long distance relationship"& It was so comforting and reassuring that I chose the right place when I sent an email to her and I immediately got a response, even if it was just acknowledging that she read it and would need to verify and get the correct answer for me. She would also call me if I had a lot of questions or whatever the case was. Fast forward to the week of my wedding... We spent a few days relaxing before the wedding at the resort. Chilling by the luxurious pools, beach and we had an amaaaazing spa day. The Sheraton staff is truly amazing and went above and beyond. Jessica also dropped by the spa just to check in and would check on us throughout our mini vacation.
Rehearsal dinner: She was so patient with my wedding party (I had 6 couples and 3 little ones in my wedding not including the family walk down) with arranging us, also making sure everything was delicious for our dinner!
Day of the wedding: Jessica was superwoman! She was there early! She willingly and happily gave me her personal number, she was continuously checking on me and my husband and the wedding party, tending to every need or want throughout the day. While she was checking up on us she was also running around the whole resort, running to and from the beach (where my ceremony was held), to and from the pavilion (where the reception was held) checking on all of the decorations, guestbook, sparklers, making sure the dj was ok setting up the equipment, I know she was doing all that because I was watching her run everywhere from my balcony lol. She treated my parents, grandparents, all the family and the wedding guests staying at the resort with great respect and she was lovely to ALL of the wedding guest. She helped me with my dress as I walked down the boardwalk with my dad, she was my right hand lady. At the reception she helped organize our introductions, checked on all of the plated dinners and the cake etc. and when she left the reception she told me where she was going to be (in her office). There was a tiny thing I wasn't sure about and so I texted her, next thing I saw was Jessica physically running in her flipflops to come help me lol. The pavilion was brand spanking new and it was beautiful, the crew also "grooms" the beach and sets out all of the chairs. The view was simply breathtaking at sunset, I wish I could upload photos!
The next morning my mom was thanking her for all her hard work and reassuring her it didn't go unnoticed and my mom started crying while giving her a hug, it was the emotion we all felt.
I know once I submit this I will think of 10,000+ more positive things to say but I have to stop at some point lol.
I'll always remember my happy and perfect day.
So many things went wrong that 3500 characters will never be enough.
1. Construction: were told would be done in July, plenty of time for our Oct wedding. Still was not done by the week of. Not just grounds but also guests' room that we were required to fulfill. My in-laws had to move rooms 5 times during the 5 days they were there, and that's only one instance. And the areas that were completed were luxurious, but lots were off limits while construction was ongoing. Also parking was greatly affected because large storage containers and pallets of sod blocked 65% of the spaces, so my in-laws offered to pay for valet for our event. That was a mess.
2. Our coordinator Jessica G: first let me say that our original coordinator was Jocelyn Black and we were disappointed when she changed departments. So we were given Jessica and we coped with her trying to apeize us. Let me straight up say that she should not be coordinating any weddings or receptions. Her specialty was food coordination, and I will admit the food was good (what little I got to eat,) but she rarely coordinated anything else for our day. First, she avoided my mom's calls less than a month before the wedding when she needed to know a construction status update. Second, we were told to arrive at 7am the day of our wedding to help decorate before going to get ready. Jessica did not show up until 10:35am - nor did her promised "team" to help set up tables. We literally had to hunt people down to help because my hair appt was at 11am and I was not missing it because someone else couldn't get up in time to arrive. Third, we were never able to get her cell number because "I don't give that out." That would have been an appropriate time to have that number, just saying. We had to ask the front desk for it - demand we get it. Fourth, she did help me out of the car and escorted me to her office to help bustle my dress and safely store my purse and phone, but here's where it gets fun. Fifth, she disappeared! Once we were announced during the reception entrance, she was never seen again. There was no direction for the DJ, no assistance for us to get food or to leave - NOTHING! And my purse and phone were locked in her office until someone could get in at 1am. Awesome. And when we called to speak with her after our wedding, she would not speak to us. I never once said anything mean to her or to insult her (believe me, my thoughts were never said out loud to her) so it's not like we verbally abused her for her to avoid us. Needless to say that was the icing on the top of the wedding cake of awful wedding.
3. The resort: first, the construction was not Jessica's fault but someone should have realistically told her if my wedding shouldn't have been booked. Second, people that were supposed to be there should have - don't serve our food in the dark, play pandora ads over the intercom
during our prayer, turn the sprinklers on us, do construction during the night and at 5am, put us in a "presidential suite" with a full-size bed and a 25" TV on the other side of the room, not instruct people to do what we had discussed for 7 months (i.e. Put cake in to-go boxes for guests, break and hide the family cake server, steal our Lenox toasting flutes, etc.)
Overall I was just very disappointed that our day ended up like this - especially when another wedding was the same day and they had a much better time than we did. Happy my guests couldn't see the issues but I'll always remember my ruined day.
