Great Music!!!

DJ Amrit from Bollywood Entertainment was so helpful, in both ceremonies, baraat, sangeet, and the wedding reception. We appreciated his thinking out of the box, and his ability to appeal to all crowds and ages. Hands down another favorite vendor for us. Can not recommend him highly enough- In fact, I chose him because of the blast I had at my friends’ wedding in Westchester years before. The best.

Excellent Services! I really appreciated that different music was played at our Sangeet and Reception making each event special. Our Baraat was rained out, but Amrit had a great idea for the Groom to make a special entrance and jump out of the Baraat van. Additionally, after our reception many people asked us who our dj was because everyone was enjoying the music/party so much! Overall, we had a great experience working Bollywood DJs and especially with Amrit as he was both very professional and easy to work with.

My only regret for the day was my DJ selection. The common comments I've received since the event was the DJ could have been better. I completely agree! We sent Bollywood dj's song selections 24 hours prior to our event (yes I understand that was late). But they stated it was no problem at all. We gave them over 50 songs to play along with a youtube link of 20 plus songs. Of those selections they played maybe 20 songs. All the songs were listed a must play. It was obvious the DJ didn't go through our selection and played as he wished. How do we know this? The day after the event we had a party at my new house and pulled up the list only to have everyone comment none of these were played and wished they were!!! The DJ played lots of American music which was odd because it was primarily a Guyanese and Nepali crowd. We had one American song listed and that wasn't even played!!! One was stated as an extreme must on the list and never played until 10 mins before our event ended only because my husband asked the DJ 3 times. It would be one thing if they played all of our music then filled in with their own. But to not play music that was appropriate for our crowd was extremely bad taste. It was so odd that even workers from the Sterling made comments about the music not reflecting the crowd. Besides the poor music selection we had another issue with our DJ. My mother-in-law found a gold ring during the party and asked the DJ to make an announcement. Several guest including Sterling employees stated no announcement was ever made. The DJ decided at the end of the night to leave the ring on a table and walk out. At the party the next day my uncle-in-law stated he lost his Gold wedding band. When I reached out to Bollywood Djs he stated there was no one there so he left the ring and walked out. Anyone that has been to any event knows there are plenty of people from the caterers cleaning and fixing up the rooms until late. The clean up manager was there until 5am. The DJ could have easily found someone to give it to rather than leaving it and walking away. I completely regret booking them.
