The team at Breakthrough Entertainment is absolutely amazing and I can't recommend them enough. I absolutely love working with DJ Naps, Melinda, and the team at Breakthrough. As a wedding planner, it's important to me that I work with other wedding professionals that have integrity, professionalism, and will take care of my clients. Mike and his team are extremely professional and amazing at what they do. Melinda is super organized and responsive and their DJ's always get the party going and keep it going! They also make great Emcees, which is so important to me as the planner as they're moving the day along from one micro-event to the next. I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike, Melinda, and DJ Hogan on a wedding and, despite all the challenges this pandemic has brought, they were professional, responsive, flexible, and cognizant of keeping everyone safe. The music and cues went very smoothly and everyone loved the mixes by DJ Hogan. I'm so grateful we have Breakthrough Entertainment here in Rochester and highly recommend them to everyone. I look forward to working with them on many more weddings and events.

Absolutely amazing! We had DJ Naps, Mike Napoli, who is such a great DJ. The dance floor was always packed and we danced the night away. Everyone enjoyed the music and the Photo Booth. Everything was absolutely perfect. He and the rest of the staff were so easy to work with and listened to everything we said and wanted and did just that! Highly recommend!

Working with Mike (DJ Napps) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were overwhelmed with finding a DJ at first, but after hearing from a friend who had attended a wedding he played RAVE about his skills, we immediately looked him up. Right from the start we were met with quick responses and clear information (Melinda, the general manager at Breakthrough was absolutely wonderful to work with when we first inquired). Mike was flexible with setting up meeting times, and amazing when it came to helping us map out the night, and really got our timeline nailed down (he was like an event planner and DJ rolled into one). He made us feel more than confident that every aspect, from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception, was going to be perfect. He and his team exceeded every expectation, and truly made it a night we will never forget. Every song he played was exactly the kind of music and vibe we were hoping for, and he kept the energy going throughout the entire reception. We still have people talking about how much fun they had dancing the night away -- there wasn't a time when the dance floor wasn't completely full! I cannot recommend them enough, so if you are on the fence, or are just finding Breakthrough Entertainment, look no further, these guys are the BEST.

Breakthrough DJ was everything that my bride and I could have expected and then some. We used DJ A_Live (Adam) and we couldn’t have imagined the experience and process to be as smooth and seamless as he made it. He put us at ease throughout the process and most importantly on the day of. He took care of a lot of coordinating for us and because we met with him beforehand, he knew exactly what we wanted and he delivered. As for the party, it was amazing. He played awesome music and kept the dance floor going LITERALLY all night!!

DJ Ara/Angel was freaking awesome. He had everyone on the dance floor, which is what we really wanted. We've been to so many weddings where no one dances and I always feel bad for the couple. He also took over details that I just didn't have time or imagination for, which I'm so appreciative of. We met with him twice and he always put us at ease. We also had uplighting through BreakThrough. You really do get what you pay for, and we do not regret spending a little more to get such an incredible DJ. Everyone had a blast dancing!

I want to take the opportunity to thank the team that made our wedding a true celebration, BreakThrough Entertainment led by the talented Mike DjNaps Napoli. Mike DjNaps Napoli was the VERY FIRST vendor we reached out to for our wedding. In fact, we cleared our possible wedding dates with him prior to booking our venue because it was so important to us to have him DJ at our wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Mike at the University of Rochester for various events, and I knew that when I got married, I wanted him to be our DJ. Many people thought I was crazy for wanting a DJ from upstate New York when we are in the tri-state area with plenty of great DJ companies, but having worked with Mike before, I knew he was in a league of his own and would execute our wedding exactly as we wanted- and he did indeed! We had a very specific musical vision as we had a traditional Orthodox Jewish ceremony and a more secular party. We opted for a band for the ceremony, and Mike worked seamlessly with our band- alternating between DJ and band for our ceremony. Mike was a fantastic MC, following our wedding timeline to a T and keeping the energy of our wedding up all night long. We also had Breakthrough Entertainment provide our photo booth, which added a great activity and was a lot of fun for our wedding guests to enjoy. We got all of the digital copies of the photos from the booth- both composites and individual photos- immediately after our wedding, which was great to share with guests and have in addition to our photographer's photos. Overall, it is Breakthrough Entertainment's professionalism, performance and personalities, that make them the very best DJs in the tri-state area. DJ Hogan was absolutely incredible. He had many suggestions to help us keep the party going, what order to do things in that made the most sense for our timeline and to keep our guests happy, and was very professional. He checked in with the bride & groom regularly (but without being distracting) to make sure everything was going to plan, and made sure to play our favorites for us. He also did a great job mixing songs together so that transitions from one song to another made sense, and he put our requests into an order that kept the party going all night long. I loved working with him and recommend him to anyone in the market for a wedding/party DJ.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! Breakthrough as a whole was phenomenal. All the planning went off without a hitch and they made it so easy. Our DJ was DJ Naps (Mike Napoli) and he totally KILLED IT. We received compliments all night long about how amazing he was and people love him! The dance floor was hoppin' all night long. Would 100% recommend him to anyone looking to have a great time at their wedding! He made the planning so easy and had so many great ideas. He made our day exactly what we wanted it to be. Breakthrough Entertainment is Amazing, If you want a professional company and a DJ who is very involved then Hire them for your Reception! Dj Mike Napps is on the ball with things, he even met us at our venue to see the set up of things months before our big day! Break through offers more than just music they have Photo booths, cool uplighting and many more. The dance floor was packed at my wedding and everyone raved about my DJ! If you are scared that your DJ may play songs you hate, don't worry because they have an online portal that you have full access to where you can create your play list, do not play list and a place to enter in all the small details of your wedding day to assure you and your DJ are on the same page at all times!

BreakThrough was awesome! DJ Chris Sweet was our DJ for our wedding and we are so thankful for him! He was fantastic throughout the whole planning process & wedding night. The planning sheets online were so helpful & the uplighting in the venue was perfect. The microphones for the ceremony & speeches were perfect. Chris was amazing and my family & friends loved him! Our photobooth attendant was also amazing! Everyone loved all of the props that BreakThrough provided and my family couldn't step away from the photobooth. I received all the pictures (both singles and the printed versions) just a few days after the wedding and I couldn't be happier with them! I definitely recommend BreakThrough for all of your wedding music & photobooth needs!

We used DJ Sweet for our wedding and everything was perfect! People cannot stop talking about how much they loved the music at our wedding. People were dancing non-stop, and that's exactly what we wanted. We also used Breakthrough for our photo booth, another hit! I would highly recommend Breakthrough for both DJ services and the photo booth. The whole night went so smooth, and a huge part of that is thanks to DJ Sweet for being so accommodating and working with our vendor, so we didn't have one thing to worry about!

This company is the best in the biz! They were so great to work with, very professional and experts in their field. They got to know us and made our day so very special. To say DJ A-Live (Adam) is top notch is an understatement!! He was professional, punctual & prepared from our very first meeting! He is easy to talk to & was always available if we had questions or wanted to make changes. He has plenty of experience to offer suggestions if you are unsure of something but never made us feel like we didn't have options or it had to be done a certain way. At the wedding, Adam kept things on track and always knew what was coming next keeping things running smoothly. He was fun!! He made it possible for my groom & I to mingle & dance with our guests without having to worry about being in charge of keeping things moving. It was wonderful!! Adam had it covered!! His mix of music was perfect & he kept the dance floor full all night!!! We received countless compliments on the music & have already recommended him to many!! I highly recommend Breakthrough Entertainment...and DJ A-Live!!!

DJ Naps (Mike Napoli) is simply the best DJ in town. He was tremendously organized, professional, FUN, and responsive. He truly made magic happen during our reception. He helped lead and run the event smoothly, and was so responsive to the needs of our guests. Above all he was an incredible, energetic, and talented DJ. You rock, Naps!

DJ A-Live "Adam" was awesome! We had a wedding of about 120 at Artisanworks in Rochester and he played such a great variety of new and old school songs that really set the mood for the night (both my wife and I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s)! We both enjoyed the mixes and selection he played on top of all the songs we wanted played. He definitely made our wedding day special and ensured our guests had a great time. He was very nice to me and my now wife while we worked with him during the planning process, and really wanted to made the night special for us. Our friends have him already booked for their wedding are pretty excited based on how he performed for us (they actually booked him prior to our wedding and got the opportunity to see him live). Melinda was extremely nice and awesome to work with on planning everything for the event. She was definitely on top of her game throughout the entire planning process. We booked the photo booth they provided and our guests loved it. Had so many great memories that were captured that night. We would hands down recommend Breakthrough Entertainment for any special event! They lives up to and exceeded our expectations!

My Husband and I met multiple times with owner, Mike Napoli (DJ Naps) to ensure our wedding reception was exactly as we had imagined. Everything from the lighting, interaction with our guests and of course the music was exactly what we DREAMED it would be. Since our wedding this past November we have had multiple friends and family meet with and book Breathrough for their special event. Amazing company, awesome people and truly the only high-end entertainment service in Rochester worth booking.

Breakthrough Entertainment is a stellar choice. If you want the real deal, professional, and quality performance then they are a no-brainer. DJ A-Live will impress you in all ways. My four stars vs. five is based on the break down below. Please note: these are my personal negatives that our guests had NO idea about and absolutely zero complaints about. All in all - our guests are still raving and say it's the best DJ they have ever heard. All wedding memories and talks with family always mention our DJ! Positives: 1. DJ-Alive: Awesome, awesome man. We were not local and he worked around our schedule when we could be in town - and even drove an hour to meet with us in person. 2. DJ-Alive is a stud. Takes control in all situations. Dressed the part, lined the entire bridal party up, gave great instruction, introductions were awesome (great voice!), kept with my timeline, did awesome transitions with all the different parts throughout the night, lighting knowledge was the best (and attention to detail to change colors throughout), laughed and acted as if he was the parties best friend. Rocked the show. 3. Let me have my moment to DJ. Enough said. 4. Breakthrough Entertainment: Communication is key and they nailed it. Their policies of set-up and tear-down were great and even flexible to our timeline which I could not believe. Fun items to add on as well - we used the Crystal Columns - talk about show stoppers. Also - the photobooth comes with an attendant which makes it seem more classy and upgraded! Pics turned out great, they work with you and a designer on the template if you request, and you get a digital link with them after! 5. They use a portal to add in songs of your choice and notes. Super easy and is great to get you organized and to provide a feel of how you want your evening. Also there is a section for your timeline, bridal party, parents, all songs for all times you didn't even know you needed songs. Negatives: 1. We loved the portal and used it to its' fullest advantage. DJ told us he would not be able to use all songs (totally understood, you can add in LOTS of songs!); however not even a 1/3 of the songs we wanted were played. I even put in a section to "call all bridesmaids to the floor" to dance to a certain song and that did not happen. Missed photo Opp. 2. I made a comment where I did not want any rap music and there was a time I made the groom tell him to skip a song - I think it was "Back that A$$ Up." Not my style. Did the dance floor clear? Not at all. Song changed and we were back to what I wanted. 3. Our First Dance song was played later on in the night. I found that to be a little odd. It made people even kind of clear the floor again and look at us and then they realized they could also slow dance. 4. The Photobooth: Pretty Awful props. Like we were at a regular party and not a wedding. I even specifically asked about these and I should have taken the offer to provide our own.

We booked Adam, aka DJ A-LIVE, and we could not have been happier! He was absolutely incredible, and so helpful throughout the whole planning process! He knew exactly what songs to play to keep the dance floor packed all night! We got so many compliments from our guests on what an amazing job he did. Thank you so much to Adam, and to the entire Breakthrough Entertainment crew for making our big day the BEST party ever! :)

DJ Naps, AKA Mike Napoli, ROCKED our wedding! We had an exceptional experience with both Breakthrough Entertainment and him. He did our wedding procession music, cocktail hour and reception. He was very professional, extremely accommodating and most importantly delivered great music day of. The wedding dance floor was epic, the whole crowd was on the floor for the entire evening. HIGHLY recommend!

Mike and his crew are definitely the best DJ's out there. From the be beginning to the end, everyone was super helpful with anything that was needed. We had Dj Jestyr (Dave) at our wedding. I am a very difficult person to please when it comes to music, but he was amazing! He did an awesome job with out 'basketball style line up' introductions. The type of music he played fit our music taste perfectly. Everyone danced all night! They never wanted to leave the dance floor. The lighting was also perfectly done. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I wish we could have danced all night. I totally recommend this company!

We booked DJ Sweet and I cannot say enough great things about him. He kept the dance floor full all night. We met with him prior to the wedding and he just "got" what we were looking for. Several of my engaged friends who attended the wedding asked for his card and are looking to book him for their own weddings. He also provided ceremony music and microphones for our officiant/ readers at no additional charge. Higher price tag than other local DJs, but just proof that you get what you pay for!

DJ ARA is AMAZING!!! He helped make our night perfect! He is so great to work, extremely professional, incredibly knowledgable about music, and fun!! We received so many compliments!

When looking for a DJ, we knew exactly what we were looking for, but didn’t know if it existed. We wanted a DJ that would engage our guests with music that would keep people of all ages on the dance floor, not someone who would just hit play on an iTunes playlist. Many people that we spoke with recommended Breakthrough Entertainment. I called and spoke with Mike Napoli (DJ Naps), and we ended up booking DJ Sweet for our wedding. DJ Sweet was exactly what we wanted. He is a true DJ, having DJ’d at many bars and clubs (and still does). He knows how to get people on the dance floor and keep them there. Our dance floor was completely full all night long. He was open to all of our ideas (including a surprise dance) and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We had a blast working with him. We received many comments from our guests, both young and old, that our wedding was the most fun wedding they had ever been to, and we have to attribute that to DJ Sweet. Do yourself a favor – don’t just pick any DJ, these are the people that set the tone for your reception. Go with Breakthrough Entertainment (DJ Sweet if you can get him!). You won’t regret it!

We feel that music is one of the most important aspects of a wedding/party, so we knew we had to trust whoever we picked, and Breakthrough, specifically DJ ARA (Angel) was the right choice! From the first email to our wedding day Breakthrough was so helpful. It was nice to have Mike, Dave, and Angel all email us to introduce themselves and do a few check ins to see how we were doing with our wedding planning process. My husband and I were indecisive about a few song choices and got our picks to Angel the night of our rehearsal and he didn't pressure us once! It was a no stress process-something you don't find often with wedding planning. Angel was friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. His music choices kept the dance floor alive and he was able to please everyone! We have only heard great things and we highly recommend Breakthrough. They know exactly what they are doing and they do it with such class- definitely worth every penny!

As soon as my husband and I spoke with Mike on the phone, we knew Breakthrough Entertainment was the right choice for us. Mike quickly understood exactly what we were going for - to throw the best party we had ever been to! The planning process was so simple (they have a great online portal that makes managing your wedding day info and song choices so easy) and we were fully confident in our our entertainment for the big day. And when the day came, Mike and his amazing talent exceeded our expectations. Our dance floor was absolutely packed all night long with all ages - Mike was able to cater to everyone's music preferences. We got great feedback after the wedding too - "best wedding we've we've been to!" and "we've never seen so many people on the dance floor for so long!" We couldn't recommend Breakthrough Entertainment any more strongly - Mike went above and beyond to help us have the best day of our lives!

DJ Sweets did a wonderful job of bringing the party alive. The planning beforehand was very easy for a out-of-town bride. We used Skype and their wonderful online system to choose our music and meet our DJ. We never had any doubt that they would do an amazing job, then the wedding day happened... Mother Nature completely changed our plans (could almost be considered a monsoon!) So our reception went from outdoor tent to indoors of a personal home with 100 guests. DJ Sweets we not as concerned with his equipment as much as he was concerned with how he could still provide an amazing service in the thick of the situation. In the end it all was still amazing! DJ Sweets was fun and kept the dancefloor alive until the end :) We were so glad we had such an amazing and flexible DJ service!

Mike Napoli (aka DJ Naps) was great! He kept the party going all night long. We aren't "music" people, but with a few conversations, DJ Naps took our limited guidance and went with it. I didn't feel worried about the music or any details. He knew how to please the crowd and was just a nice guy overall. We don't live locally, and Mike really made an effort to get to know us via FaceTime and many emails. Thanks, DJ Naps!

Our DJ, Adam, was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond for us throughout the planning process, and just knocked it out of the park on the day of the wedding. He really knew how to read the crowd and kept everyone dancing all night! I had so many people come up to me throughout the reception and afterwards to say how impressed they were by the music and his style. Most importantly, Adam is obviously very talented at what he does and passionate about his work -- he truly is NOT your average wedding DJ. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose these guys again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much for an amazing day!

DJ Naps is the best! By far the best decision I made in the wedding planning process was hiring him as the DJ. He kept the party going all night long. I have never seen so many people on the dance floor all night at a wedding. When the reception was over, people didn't want to leave! He is very professional and works with you to figure out what your musical taste is. I would definitely use him again.

Michael is hands down, the best DJ EVER! If you want to party, and dance all night long, then Breakthrough Entertainment is for you! He plays all the top hits, keeps the party going and knows how to interact with the guests. He absolutely made our wedding the best ever!
