Soni and her cousin did our hair and makeup on my wedding day. While the hair looked good, we were not impressed with the makeup. I showed a picture and specifically said, I didn’t want much eyeliner because since my eyes are hooded, that tends to be all that’s seen, but they didn’t do even close to what I asked for. It still looked ok, so I wasn’t too upset but then we did the ceremony. Within 30 minutes, every single girl’s makeup was completely splotchy and sliding off. I exited the ceremony and my eyelashes were half way off and this is after I had to tell them multiple times while doing my makeup, that it was not securely on. By the end of pictures, all of my makeup was off and both eyelashes were hanging. The weather was hot, so that accounts for some of it, but as professional makeup artists, they should be able to take the weather into account and for even all of the eyelashes to fall off, tells me they either did a rushed job and/or did very poorly. This was also prior to anyone sweating. While we were getting makeup done, I had told Soni that two of the girls would need to go closer to the end because they were helping with setting up the wedding and she responded with she needs to be done by 2 pm because she made plans and had a party to go to and something else planned. Excuse me?! We hired her more than a year out and it had always been discussed that we would need her until 3:30/4, so this was unacceptable and rude and showed that she didn’t care at all about the fact that we hired her to do this. We had two junior bridesmaids that we had told her we didn’t want to have makeup, but before I could say anything, they started makeup on the youngest girl. We ended up saying ok since they had already started, but they charged us the same price as the makeup for the adults and the girl’s makeup was not in the contract. They also had much less makeup than the adults, no eyelashes, light foundation, no lipstick, etc. They never said thank you to us. She just took off when she was done. I mentioned to her that we were disappointed in the quality of the work and she just ignored me. We were extremely disappointed in our service and basically paid for makeup for 30 minutes. Complete waste of money. They also never touched up anyone’s hair. She said she was going to touch up some of the girl’s curls and comb them out but she never did.
