Mary and Julia are true angles! You will NOT regret having them by your side. Every step of the way, they are there and beyond. I didn't have to worry about a single thing because they already had.
I was nervous to spend a significant portion of my budget on planners because I've planned large events before and felt confident I could do it again, but after meeting with May and Julia we knew they would make our lives a million times easier.... and that turned out to be an understatement. To this day, my husband regularly boasts that after asking me to marry him, the second best decision he has made was encouraging me commit to Mary and Julia. He's definitely right.
From day one they made me feel excited for the big day and I had no doubts they were on my side. More than a few of the vendors we worked with gave us substantial discounts just because they love working with Mary so much and know she will make sure everything is perfect. (One vender went as far as 50% off of normal costs.)
They think of everything and know the right time to ask. I couldn't even begin to express how truly wonderful they are.
When we had a big COVID scare less than two weeks from the big day, it was Mary who calmed me down more than anyone else around us. She deftly knew exactly what to say to keep me from panicking and (forgive the pun) Brought It All Together.
They are the very best and clearly love being able to help beautiful couples have the most perfect day.
Mary and Julia are top notch in the wedding planning business. Living several hours away, I was worried about planning a wedding long distance, but they both helped tremendously and I can truly say I wouldn't have been able to pull it off without them. Mary spent countless hours on the phone with me listening to understand my vision and speaking with other vendors on how to bring that vision to life. I had a videographer that cancelled last minute and Mary quickly used her resources to find me another one that fit my vibe and what I was looking for. The day of the wedding was perfect and I was stunned with how everything turned out. Mary and Julia both go above and beyond for their clients!
Where do I begin? Bringing It Together Events is the best! Mary and Julia were so great to work with and we are more than thankful we hired them. At first, I wasn't sure if I needed a wedding planner at all, but hiring BIT was the best choice I made throughout the entire planning process. From the very beginning, they were in touch with us and let us know what we needed to work on. The information and expertise they offered was priceless. They have a ton of experience and have great connections/relationships with vendors across southwest MO. So much so in fact, that several vendors I came across told me how Mary is the best and I am in very good hands. Working with someone that had great connections to other vendors was very helpful for us since we were coming from out of state. When the wedding coordinator at our reception site changed 3 times throughout the planning process (including the week of our wedding), we were carefree because we knew Mary and Julia would make sure everything went the way we wanted it. They took care of everything on the wedding day and did so much behind the scenes. We received tons of compliments on how great everything was and that it all went off without a hitch. Our day was flawless thanks to them and we couldn't have done it without them!!
I'm a wedding photographer and I've worked with Mary multiple times now. She is one of the most kind, lovely people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She is so REAL, so genuine, and you can tell she loves what she does and she's dang good at it!

Mary was great to work with. Pricing was very reasonable. She was always responsive to questions. She worked well with my vendors. The day of was made soooo much better by having her there. It was so nice to but sit back and enjoy my day while everything fell into place. When our florist (shannon’s custom florals) delivered the wrong flowers that morning, Mary picked up the florist's slack and fixed the boutonnieres using flowers from my hairpiece and put together half of the centerpieces since the florist hadn’t done so. She did amazing and I would pick her again/recommend her anyday!
As I am reflecting back on my daughter's destination wedding a few months ago, my heart is filled with gratitude for the beautiful job that Mary and her staff so graciously executed for us. Mary was there for us in every way. She was always professional and organized but, even more importantly, she was tender and patient when needed, and fun-loving when appropriate. She was consistently available to answer the multitude of questions we had for her in the planning stages of the wedding and was happy to meet with us when flew in from out of state to visit the venue. She was eager to find creative solutions for the unique ideas we wanted for both the wedding and the reception. Mary was calm throughout the entire events - she also helped with the rehearsal dinner - and kept the wedding day going as scheduled, doing a beautiful job of coordinating all of the vendors. The entire weekend brings back such warm, happy memories. I can't imagine how we would have ever been able to make it happen without Mary and her Bringing It Together staff. We were in very good, knowledgeable, stressfree hands.
Mary Douglas was the absolute best thing that happened to my wedding. My mom and I were attempting to plan a wedding by ourselves and we’re having a rough go at it. My mother-in-law suggested contacting Mary because we were getting so overwhelmed. The moment I spoke to Mary, I knew I made the right decision. She knew everything there is to know about planning a wedding and asked questions about details I didn’t even know to think of. My favorite thing about having Mary was that I could call her with the craziest, most elaborate ideas and she would say, “ok. We can make it happen!” She made sure my wedding was absolutely perfect. Because of Mary and Bringing It Together, my wedding planning experience was stress free. Best of all, I didn’t have to think about anything on my big day. Wow, words can not express how much Mary helped make our day so special. She was always available to talk and ensured our vendors were all in line. Mary and the entire team at Bringing It Together Events created and facilitated the wedding of our dreams! What we wanted, more than anything, was for our family and guests to feel loved and cherished the entire weekend, and Mary made that happen ten times over. It was the perfect day – filled with love and joy, and not a drop of worry or stress – all thanks to Mary and her team.
Planning everything remotely – and with critical members of the wedding party in three different places - I was worried about making everyone’s voice heard. Mary was able to blend all of our ideas into a cohesive and gorgeous vision, and managed the entire thing with warmth, efficiency, and patience (lots of patience!). I had no idea how many moving parts there were going to be in putting together our ideal day, but Mary and her team managed everything from the florists, to the photographers, musicians, and a dozen other vendors, from the day we booked them to the big day itself. Just about the time that I would start to feel worried or nervous about something, I would get a call from Mary updating me on exactly what was happening, and next steps for each detail. Throughout the entire process, my mother, mother-in-law, and I constantly commented on how blessed we were to have someone like Mary to rely upon. We knew that no matter what needed to happen, she was going to not only take care of it, but take care of it at the highest caliber possible, and we could enjoy the entire process without worry.
The final result was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and we received so many comments and compliments on how smoothly everything went, how perfectly things were timed, how stunning the venue was, and how loved everyone felt. It was the celebration of love and marriage we had dreamed of, and we can’t thank Mary and her entire team enough for Bringing It (all) Together.
Mary was great! She made me feel like I was her own daughter, and that my wedding was her priority. My then-fiance and I had dreamed of a wedding day where we could simply show up, able to fully immerse ourselves in cherishing every moment of our happiest day. That was absolutely what we received, and our day was even more special because of that. These ladies are unrivaled in their impeccable organizational, design, and communication skills. Never once did I have to worry about how or if something would be addressed because I knew every step would be completed with perfection. Mary was always a simple e-mail, phone call, or text away, and she always had the answers I needed. Deadlines for decisions and my own tasks were completely reasonable and greatly appreciated. I knew the very first minute I met Mary that I would love working with her, and I absolutely did. While she was technically our wedding planner, she also became a friend, like that favorite aunt that every girl secretly adores the most! I so dearly enjoyed our every visit, which in turn allowed me to enjoy the wedding planning process in a way I had never before thought possible. Mary was very helpful from the start. Her and the rest of the BITE staff were so informed and gracious as we prepared for the big day! Looking back, I wouldn't change one thing about the wedding, and a large part of that is because of Mary. If anything went wrong, or wasn't what we had talked about, she dealt with it, which allowed me to be fully present on our wedding day. I cannot recommend Mary and the Bringing It Together Events enough! From the first time I spoke with Mary, she immediately made me feel comfortable. I felt that she completely understood what I was envisioning for my wedding and what I was looking for in a planner. I planned a wedding at Big Cedar Lodge from Texas, so there were many logistics to plan from afar. Mary was there for everything I needed--advice about vendors, coordinating meetings when I was able to visit, communicating with all of the vendors to share details and timeline, and she helped to keep me on track with planning. The day of the wedding, she was prepared for every little hiccup there was! Our wedding day went so smoothly, and I believe that is because of Mary and her team. Bringing it Together Events is the Rolls Royce of wedding planning! I truly could have not done this without Mary and her dream team! From day one, Mary made me feel like I was talking to a best friend. Everything I explained to her that I envisioned for my wedding she made come to life. Along the way she knew exactly what to say to help relieve stress and make wedding planning an enjoyable experience. I can honestly say that there was never a time that I felt overwhelmed, and that was because of her! Mary brings so much expertise to the table that she was able to plan my wedding without leaving a single detail out. My wedding was all that I had ever hoped for and more! Mary and I spent countless hours on the phone, since I currently was out of state. Anytime of day that I would call she would answer. I would ask her question after question, and still she helped me remain calm and she would listen. Our wedding was at Big Cedar, and let me tell you it was absolutely stunning!!! Mary had recommended this venue and let me tell you, it was breathtaking! During our rehearsal at Big Cedar Mary made the magic happen. She ran the rehearsal so efficiently, therefore the wedding was IMPECCABLE! Throughout the morning of my wedding I had the wonderful experience of getting ready in the Bridal Suite at Big Cedar. The time that I spent with my Bridesmaids was all the more special because of the Bridal Suite atmosphere. (Again, Mary's suggestion) I am so thankful that I chose Big Cedar as my venue simply because of the beauty that it offers. Views for days, accompanied by magnificent landscaping and gardens, are reason enough to have your wedding here. Christine Bonnivier was my photographer. (recommended by Mary) Her exquisite talent allowed my husband and I to relive the beauty of our special day at Big Cedar. Rest assured you can leave it up to Mary and her team to accomplish your goals in a timely, professional manner. She is a "go-getter" and nothing is out of reach with her drive and creativity. My wedding day was literally the best day of my life thanks to Mary. I could keep going on and on, you’ll just have to trust me! I can not imagine how our wedding day could have gone more perfect. Our wedding and celebration was completely reflective of us and 100% stress free. We owe all of that to Mary and Bringing It Together! We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in April and we still wish we could go back and relive that day. Planning a wedding long-distance from Texas all the way to Springfield, Missouri, seemed like an overwhelming task for me until I met Mary Douglas. Mary was extremely competent and knowledgeable of not only which vendors to use, but every detail, small and large, that was involved in putting together my son's wedding. She understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding, and graciously gave suggestions to make it more beautiful than we could have dreamed of. It was an enormous relief to be able to trust her completely and to be able to relax and enjoy the wedding day, knowing that she had everything under control. We LOVED getting to use Mary to help with planning our wedding! We used her primarily for month of planning which worked great for us since we live out of state from where she and the wedding were. Mary knows TONS of wonderful vendors, several of which we used. I think one of our favorite things of having Mary with us is that she really did "bring it all together" and she made us feel like everything would work out just fine. In fact, there were some misc. goofs during our wedding, one of which was my husband and I not picking out songs for father/daughter and mother/son dances, and Mary had us covered in minutes!
Mary is organized, professional, creative, and resourceful. I am so glad that we were able to have her help plan our wedding and I would strongly recommend her to anyone in a heart beat!
My wedding was under unique circumstances. I was living away in Ohio for 6 months leading up to the wedding. I therefore completely relied on my mom and Mary to plan and coordinate almost all details of my special day. I couldn't have asked for a more smoothe, stress- free process! Mary was extremely helpful and attentive leading up to the wedding. She was there with her team on the day of the wedding to keep everything on track. The day went as planned thanks to their help, support and coordination with the site and vendors. I took Mary's recommendation when selecting the florist, make-up, linens and DJ vendors. Was very happy with florist and linens but make-up and DJ could have been better. All-up, I would use Mary for the day of support again.

We hired Mary as soon as our daughter got engaged and she referred us to excellent venues and vendors and guided us through the whole maze of planning a wedding. I chose Bringing it All Together after I was in another wedding they did. I had an 18 month engagement and a really elaborate "vision" for the day, which included a marching band and a 30 person wedding party along with about 200 guests. Mary was so amazing and shepherded us through every step. She helped calm my fears and when people asked me if wedding planning was stressful all I could think was "of course not, I have Mary!" Mary was a professional that got things done, but was kind and thoughtful like a friend. By far, this was the best money I spent on the wedding. Mary kept me stress free, got me vendor discounts with her referrals, saved money every step with her creativity, and even took all my gifts home and my dress in her car when both sets of parents left early. Than ks a million Mary! I couldn't have done it without you!
I was so thrilled Mary was available for our wedding. We used her for a shortened amout, 6-8 weeks out. She recommended a florist, quartet and had great assistants to set up, run the rehearsal on Friday and cleaned up after the wedding. She had helpers for a coat check and was extremely reasonable. We did this long distance and she was a lifesaver. Highly recommend her!
I don't know what we would have done without Mary and her gals! We hired Bringing it Together to coordinate day-of activities for our April 2015 wedding, and I cannot even begin to tell you how much stress was relieved knowing there was someone else handling all the logistics! In our meetings with Mary before the wedding, she asked questions we hadn't even thought of and was incredibly supportive of our outside-the-box ideas. I was able to really enjoy the day, trusting that Mary had it handled and would let us know where we needed to be. She and her gals are the epitome of grace under pressure! If you are questioning whether you really need a wedding planner, trust me...you want Mary. She will make sure you look back on your wedding day and have only fond memories of how well everything went!
Mary & Megan were incredible & I couldn't have done my wedding without them. I was planning my wedding from afar & Mary/Megan were able to provide several recommendations for vendors. Megan created an incredibly detailed timeline for my wedding day & executed the event flawlessly. They completely coordinated the church and reception set up and ran both events perfectly. They are both sweet, incredibly organized & proactive to ensure that everything gets done perfectly. I interviewed several wedding planners & it was an easy choice for me to choose Bringing it Together Events. After working with them, it is a no brainer to go with them! I recommend them HIGHLY to anyone thinking of a wedding planner.

Hiring Mary Douglas with Bringing it Together was the best decision I made for planning my wedding. As the wedding day drew near, I realized that I needed help with a lot of details that I didn't want to have to mess with, I realized that I didn't want to spend my wedding day or have my friends and family setting up and cleaning up, and I also didn't want to have to deal with vendors and the wedding day timeline the week of the wedding. This allowed for my wedding day and the entire planning process to be stress and worry free, and I was able to spend more quality time with family members and friends that were in town for the wedding. Mary Douglas is an expert with wedding planning, and she has a well trained team to help assist her. They didn't miss one detail. I would highly recommend Bringing it Together for your wedding planning!
I had the privilege of having Mary and the Bringing it Together staff help out with my wedding. I could not have done it with out them. I had so many ideas but needed help "bringing it together" and they did just that. Mary met with me on multiple occasions over the course of my wedding planning and helped brainstorm on how to make my wedding day perfect. They eased the stress of planning out my wedding day and took over all the little details that otherwise would have fallen to me or my family. After months and months of saying there was no way we would get a wedding planner, my mom broke down and decided to get someone for the day of and rehearsal. The second my mom contacted Bringing it Together and talked to Mary she was like a different person. Mary instantly lowered our stress. She knew all the vendors we had chosen on a first name basis and by before my mom talked to Mary a second time she had already contacted all of them. From the moment we hired her we were constantly in contact either via e-mail or phone. Plus we met with her multiple times in person. She made sure all of our vendors were on the same page with us and what we were expecting. She also was a huge support system at the rehearsal and ceremony. I felt like Mary wanted my wedding day to be just as perfect as I did and I would highly recommend her and Bringing it Together. There is no way my mom and I could have really enjoyed my wedding without Mary and her team at Bringing it Together.
Mary and her team at Bringing It Together were perfect! Reasonably priced and professional. We were in need of "day of" coordinating and they definitely came through, exceeding our expectations. My husband and I (parents too) were clueless when it came to things like scheduling the day, cutting the cake, how to walk down the aisle...Mary was by my side the entire way. She even helped bussel my wedding dress at the reception! Having a destination wedding was scary but she was always available to talk or text. She put up with all of my emails and was able make the dream wedding in my head a reality. The day could not have gone better!
I recently used Bringing It Together Events for my wedding. I really enjoyed working with Mary and Lauryn. They really helped to bring my ideas together as corny as it may sound. I was so thankful to have them there on my wedding day. I chose to do a lot of DIY things and may not have needed them as much throughout the planning process but definitely needed them the day of and would highly recommend them for that purpose. Despite saying this, the cost of the package was very reasonable. They were available to meet when needed. Sometimes I felt like I had to repeat myself and my ideas a few times. They made my wedding/reception absolutely like I envisioned but for some reason, were unable to use some of the pieces I had made and collected. I would still highly recommend Bringing It Together!

We hired Mary to be the day of coordinator of my wedding, but she did a lot more than just the day of. First off, we called around to different wedding coordinators and she was half the price of everyone we contacted but yet had great reviews from everyone we talked to. She met with us 3 times before the wedding, including coming to the venue to scope things out, even though she was only hired for the weekend of. She also contacted all my vendors and made sure they knew when to be there and what was expected. She helped the whole day run so smoothly. I'm not sure what we would have done without her!
