Just okay- the venue is beautiful but the staff/ coordination needs a lot of attention.
During our initial tour of Bullock Springs I fell in love with the open barn and koi pond but what ultimately sold us on the venue was the promise of an involved planning process and day of coordinator.
At our first meeting we met and fell in love with who we were told was going to be our coordinator. We had a few meetings with her and I was so excited about how well the venue communicated with us and helped us every step of the way.
3 months before the wedding we were told that our coordinator would be leaving the venue and we would be given a new coordinator soon- this is when my issues started. We would send in messages through the client portal and not get responses back for days at a time, we eventually found out around 10 days before our wedding that the venue had switched communication platforms and not informed us or added us to the new platform. After months of back and forth asking who our day of coordinator would be we were informed (about a week before the wedding) that Heather (owner) would be our coordinator. We were thankful that she stepped up and felt like she did a decent job the day off.
The day of the wedding was beautiful but there were a few issues which left us feeling a little bit indifferent towards the venue.
1. After being told we had to use their candles, the candles in the ceremony space were not lit, when someone informed the staff about the issue they did not resolve this before I walked down the aisle.
2. I asked for a picture of my dad to be placed in the ceremony space and then moved in to the memory table after the ceremony (this was VERY important to me) and they left the picture of my dad outside the whole night.
3. At our final meeting we asked for a table to be reserved for the bridal party- this did not happen and my bridal party had to scramble to find seats at the reception.
4. We took a ton of photos in the Photo Booth and never received any of them- I messaged the owner about this and have not gotten a response.
5. We were concerned about the beer at the reception being hot so we brought it up to Heather and brought the beer and wine to the venue 2 days before. Our concerns were not addressed and the beer was hot at the reception.
6. The line at the bar was super long during the reception, we felt that they could have benefited from 2 bar tenders.
7. We paid extra for a “Mac and cheese bar” thinking that it would be an actual set up bar but it was just Mac n cheese with toppings out next to it and nobody really saw them.
8. Before the reception were standing outside waiting for them to tell us where to go and we were met with confusion and no real answers.
9. The staff argued with our DJ and tried to rush things along from the timeline we and made. Thankfully everything worked out but it was a little stressful in the moment.
Overall our wedding was beautiful but I will not be recommending the venue to anyone.
Overall, I got my dream wedding. There were some unfortunate events that were not on the venue that effected my wedding day. The wedding coordinator got sick and had to quit the venue a month-ish before the wedding. However, the owner took over and truly made my vision a reality. I read reviews about the seating chart getting messed up, so I talked with the new girl and the owner through their “portal” to confirm what it would be. They even drew a picture and put it in my file…I showed up for rehearsal dinner and the tables were not the same. She assured me the two missing tables were pushed to the family tables. I should have double checked both tables and counted seats, bc of course my grooms family didn’t have enough seats at the reception bc that table was not pushed to the family table. This caused a huge argument between many people, and it was very sad that I got yelled at on my day. Moral of the story…. Just don’t do a seating chart if you book here. I will say I thought the coordinator would be by my side the entire day, but bc the owner had to take over she was busy setting up. I was just sad bc I told the woman that quit my dad passed away and I didn’t want to be alone and sure enough I got stuck alone in the room waiting to walk out and some worker came in and asked “where is your dad”…. So I cried before I walked out. She didn’t know better but if a coordinator communicated that, it wouldn’t have happened. The owner would listen and try to fix anything out of sorts. I said my hubby and I didn’t get the appetizers, & she went and got us some. We didn’t get any only bc we took pictures after the ceremony. The food, decor, details, and venue were all excellent. My mom did have to go around the venue to clean up old beer cans, limbs, and trash before the wedding so it wasn’t in pictures. Get there early to check for these things. Communication is through a portal which was fine and official, but make sure everything “told” to you is in the portal. When I first booked, I was told I could have a few things in my package that were not in the package once I booked. They did discount those items and worked with me so no complaints. Just make sure you get everything in the portal to eliminate confusion. Everyone that came said it was the best wedding they have every been to/seen. They even switched out the chairs for me to have the chairs I dreamed of. We did pay for champagne in the bridal suite and they gave us raspberry flavored sparkling moscato … was not making mimosas with that. She did allow us to bring in our own champagne since we didn’t get what we were told. Worth the price and little miscommunications. My wedding ceremony was perfect, the getting ready area adorable, and the reception was a dream. I’ll try to post pictures!
If I could give this venue more stars I would! I could not be more impressed with Bullock Springs Manor! My husband and I were planning our wedding for a little over a year and were scheduled to get married in Fort Myers Beach on October 7, 2022. Due to Hurricane Ian, our plans quickly changed. We had a pretty high guest count who had taken time off of work, booked flights, made travel arrangements, etc. For this reason, we decided to move forward and plan an entirely new venue (basically wedding) in our hometown area. Bullock springs was the third venue we toured in just two days with less than a week of our big day. We fell in love as soon as we saw it and all it had to offer. We knew going with an all inclusive route was the best way to go considering the time crunch we were on. We had it booked exactly a week before our wedding day and were scheduled to meet with Morgan, Mallory and Michael on a Monday (just 4 days before our wedding day) to start the planning process. They called me their “golden goose” considering this was the quickest wedding they had ever planned for a bride. On our big day… you would have thought we had planned this for at least a year!! Our guests were floored with how everything turned out, as were we. Mallory was helping coordinate the day of and she exceeded all expectations! Her attention to detail and professionalism were impeccable! Liz was my “bride babysitter” the day of and made sure that all of my needs and my husbands needs were met. She even arranged a private dinner for us the day of! The wait staff were extremely friendly and quick to set up and buss tables. The bartender was incredible and we even had a specialty drink called “The Hurricane.” Our food was delicious and we can say we actually ate at our wedding. Morgan even came by to check on us on our big day and even bought me a bridal gift. It wasn’t our beach wedding we had dreamed about but it ended up being SO much more! I’m on my honeymoon writing this review because I keep looking back to our special day and can’t sleep. Bullock Springs Manor will forever be in our hearts. ❤️
Michael and Keely were amazing. They both worked so hard to make my vision come to life. Our wedding came out perfect.
My wedding Day was perfect! The planning process was a breeze and Kristen was so wonderful to work with. Our guests are still are still talking about the food. BEST mac and cheese EVER!!! The venue did so many updates and it was even more gorgeous than when we book. You will not be disappointed!
I highly recommend Bullock Springs Manor! The barn is my favorite part of this wedding venue, it is beautiful! Heather has answered every question I’ve had and been more than willing to incorporate all my ideas so I can have my day absolutely perfect! They make sure to assign a wedding coordinator and director just for your wedding to make sure everything happens exactly the way it needs to. Andrew and Heather have met with me for both of my meetings and I’m confident to have my wedding day in their hands!
Andrew, Heather, and the entire staff at Bullock Springs Manor helped make our wedding day everything we wanted plus more! Planning was a breeze with the inclusive packages they offer, and all of our guests told us how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had at our wedding. The day of the wedding was stress free thanks to Andrew and his staff, leaving us time to enjoy the entire day with family and friends. I would definitely recommend this venue!
I was a guest at a wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! The staff were very welcoming and made my friends day wonderful!
The only downside to our ceremony was that it was usually cold outside; can't fix that. Other than that I got lots of compliments on the beauty of the venue, the wedding director, Mrs. Lammy, was extremely helpful, and working with the owners was a piece of cake. Not to mention the decorations that came with the rental price, that was nice :-) .
Pat was wonderful and the place was beautiful. Our outdoor wedding got rained out so we moved it inside and it still was wonderful
This was the most beautiful wedding and it just happened to be my wedding. This venue is wonderful. Ms. Pat and her family are great people and we felt like part of the family. Shirelle was the best wedding director anyone could ask for. She rocked!!!
All I have to say is that it was great.
The staff at the venue were great to work with and they made everything so easy. Beautiful place and accommodating.
Beautiful Venue, well organized. Everything perfect and supreme customer service!
overall the place was great. They like for you to have your ceremony there and I didn't so I guess I lost "points". The value was great but the staff could have been a little more helpful.
The venue is a restored farmhouse and it is beautiful inside and out! The ballroom is what made it for us. It is beautiful hardwood gorgeous chandeliers and just a beautiful charming space. Not to mention the staff and mainly Pat was amazing to us and very accommodating and helpful!
