Picking the cake for your big day can be such a stressful process - the design, the flavors, the layers, how much to get, what kind of dessert to serve... But not with Buttercream. We had a phone consultation and an in-person tasting that left us with ZERO questions or doubts. They were quick to communicate, easy to get a hold of, and executed the design and flavor profiles perfectly - we are so thankful to them! 100% would recommend them!

Ordered my wedding cake from this company as my sister did the same and I'm so glad I did! Same experience with an efficient consultation, delicious samples and a lot of options to choose from. My husband got to choose which style and we chose dots to match the pearls on my dress. The ribbon is from the company but I bought some faux flowers off of Amazon that they also decorated for me the day of. We chose the strawberry lemon flavor ( my husbands choice ) as I'm not much of a dessert person. However, if I chose, I would've went with the chocolate which was VERY delicious 👀❤️.

Buttercream made our wedding cake and cupcakes and they were wonderful! We received so many compliments from our guests on how great the cake was and the dessert table was pretty much empty at the end of the night.

The cake is AMAZING. We had no cake left at the end of the night. We got a 3 tiered cake with an extra tier and smaller cake as we shared our wedding day with his aunt and uncle's wedding anniversary. They provide a $25 anniversary cake for you so no need to freeze your cake and I cannot wait to eat it again then!

My husband is not a sweets guy. We tried multiple cakes as it was super important to me to have a good wedding cake. When we went to our tasting, Buttercream was a million times better than any cake we had tried. So much so, my husband was craving what we ordered! They had a delivery deal with our venue and we didn't have to worry about pick up, set up, clean up, or anything. The cake itself looked so beautiful too. Simple but elegant! We received multiple compliments from guests on how good the cake and frosting were. We ordered the turtle and an almond praline with strawberry. I could live off the almond one-it's that good!

Buttercream made our cake and cupcakes for our wedding and delivered them to our venue/set them up for us. The cake and cupcakes were AMAZING and everyone loved them! I would absolutely have them cater another event for us, the best desserts!

We are so happy we got our wedding cake from Buttercream! Our guests raved about the cake, it was so moist and delicious! We chose two flavors for our 3 tier cake - chocolate caramel and vanilla with strawberry filling. We are so grateful to you all for making our wedding day that much sweeter!

This was my FAVORITE part of finding all our vendors. Now THIS was a cake tasting, and it was SO unbelievably delicious. I thought cake was just cake - ITS NOT when it's this good. I enjoyed the tasting way more than I thought I would, and loved several of the flavors. It was hard to choose! We went with the raspberry chocolate diva and strawberry a'la ritz. Absolutely divine!

Buttercream cakes were amazing. The cakes were absolutely delicious. Tons of guests complimented them specifically. We went with the almond praline and raspberry marble, both amazing. The cake tasting and order form was quick, simple. They were a preferred vendor through our venue, everything went so smoothly.

Buttercream was great! We went in for a tasting and had a wonderful time going through that process with them, and choosing a look for our cake. We ended up choosing two flavors (almond praline and chocolate raspberry) for our three tier cake. One thing I will point out, and this was admittedly on us for not asking ahead of time, was that the flavor distribution was a bit strange. We assumed that the largest tier on the bottom would be one flavor, and the top two would be the other flavor. Instead only two of the tiers were flavored and the bottom tier was plain white cake. Still delicious, mind you, but not exactly what we expected, and we definitely should have clarified ahead of time. Regardless, going through the process of ordering the cake was a breeze, the cake itself was delicious, and the cake was delivered to our venue on time. Everyone loved it!

Our cake was beautiful and so tasty. We also got cupcakes for our guests, who absolutely loved them! I love that they use frosting instead of fondant so the cakes actually taste good! David was easy to work with and very knowledgeable during our tasting. We're looking forward to getting another cake from them for our anniversary!

We loved our amaretto cake from Buttercream! We had a small cut cake and served sheet cake to our guests. Our family and friends are still talking about how moist and fluffy the cake was. There are photos of the bride on the dance floor with a slice of cake because it was SO good. A note that the cake we received on our wedding day was much better than the cake we sampled during our tasting event, because it was fresh instead of frozen.

Can you say delicious? We and our guests were obsessed with the cupcakes we got. And still are! Buttercream was easy to work with and they are an associate of our venue so they delivered the cupcakes for a small fee. It took so much stress off our plate. People were also raving about the gluten free cupcakes which I agree were delicous!

Buttercream was absolutely the right choice for our wedding. They did a phenomenal job with our two-tiered cake and array of desserts. Our guests complimented our desserts all night long!

We used buttercream for our wedding cake and it was the best decision. They were easy to work with for planning and delivery, made a beautiful cake design that they customize for you, and they have great flavor options. The best cake my husband has ever had in his life and could not imagine anything better for the wedding. A lot of people have been moving away from wedding cakes but so many people mentioned to us that the cake was so good and they were happy that they had some for the wedding.

We used Buttercream for our wedding, we got cupcakes and a small cake. I am a huge fan of cupcakes and I tried SO many places around the twin cities for the best cupcakes and Buttercream's are amazing and the best! I ordered extra cupcakes since I wanted extras after the wedding, however they were such a hit that I only had 5 left. The tasting at Buttercream was great and really enjoyed being able to try things before fully booking. Highly recommend Buttercream for any event!

Buttercream did an amazing job on our small cutting cake and cupcakes for our wedding. Not a single cupcake was leftover. Everything was delicious! I'd only recommend they update some of their booking forms and website information to modernize and streamline the process of booking and design.

The only reason I am giving Buttercream 4 stars is their storefront in Minnetonka is filthy. I mean there were dust bunnies, dead bugs, and clutter everywhere. They do not bake out of this location, but you can go there to do tastings and meet with the sales rep. I trust that Buttercream runs a clean, safe cooking environment and still chose to go with them, despite the dirty storefront. They really did a wonderful job. Their desserts are absolutely delicious, which was most important to me. They provide rentals for you if you are doing a dessert buffet and they really did an amazing job satisfying our guests.

My review is mixed, the taste of buttercream cakes is absolutely amazing and I could not find a better cake in the twin cities. These cakes are VERY moist and taste amazing even a week after the wedding! Design was less than desirable and the interactions with the staff for design was terrible. I sent pictures and explained in detail what I wanted. First staff didnt seem to be able to comprehend the simple design that I was asking for. Secondly, the design I received on my wedding day was nothing like the design we had agreed upon over email. If you want one of their designs on their website, than you should be fine. But if you want anything different, I would not recommend.

I really enjoyed working with Buttercream Cakes and Desserts. The desserts and the cake were a hit at my wedding! We ordered a three-tier naked cake with Neapolitan flavor. The cake was the lightest and tastiest cake I have had, and my guests were raving about how good it was! We also had brownie cubes and shooters at the wedding as well on our dessert table, and they were a hit. I would highly recommend using them if you want a professional, affordable wedding bakery!

We had a great tasting experience with Buttercream which made it incredibly difficult to decide on flavors! We had ample amounts of tasting cakes and sample cupcakes to take home as well. We opted for 5 different flavors of cupcakes and a separate flavor for our small tier cutting cake. Rave reviews from our guests and it was truly delicious. I would highly recommend Buttercream Cupcakes!

Buttercream was one of the required dessert vendors at our venue - and with the quality of our venue, we were a little taken aback by our tasting experience. The cakes come out in tiny sample pieces on a small cardboard tray, after clearly sitting in the fridge for a few days, with the tiniest dollop of frosting (we asked if we could have more frosting, since our mothers were with us, and were told no!). Unfortunately, because the cake had been refrigerated, it was dry and crumbly, and not at all what we had hoped for! There was no way we could make a decision after that experience. A few weeks later, we ended up ordering cupcakes separately to see if those were a little better, and thank goodness - we had more flavors to choose from, they had been baked that day, and gave us a much better idea of what to expect. We actually ended up going with the cupcakes and a small cutting cake for the wedding instead of a full cake, just to make sure they would taste how we wanted. The cupcakes were a hit, and people loved that we had a variety of flavors.

Buttercream provided the cake and cupcakes for our daughter's wedding. The flavor choices were amazing. It was tough for the bride and groom to narrow their choices down to just five! Knowing at least two guests needed gluten free options, was a bonus! They were both happy there were GF cupcakes and thrilled there were three flavor options! Thank you Buttercream for helping make our daughter's wedding so amazing!

Delicious! Their flavors are great and the size of the cupcakes is good, they aren't just tiny little cakes. On our wedding day the delivery was on time and was set up perfectly. We had ordered mostly regular cupcakes but also a small amount of gluten free ones too, the delivery person perfectly set up the gluten free ones on the separate cake stand we provided for them. Our cake topper was also placed for us. Definitely would order from them again for a birthday/holiday/etc.

The service and dessert at Buttercream were top notch. We went with various cupcakes and a single tier wedding cake. Their cupcakes and cake were incredibly delicious. It was the best cake we have ever had.

Our cake was absolutely delicious! I would be cautious with the mini desserts. They are good but we ran out at our wedding despite going with their recommended number. The mini desserts are small so people will definitely take more than 1 or 2 (they recommended 1.5 per guest for our event). Cupcakes would probably be easier.

They were super great from beginning to end. We got a tasting platter due to busy schedules and not being able to come in for tasting, they were able to perfectly decorate our cake and it was so good the day of the wedding we had a 3 tier cake, 2 layers of strawberry lemon and one of almond praline. 1000% would recommend them. We also ordered a gluten free cake for our guests and those people reported back that the cake was amazing as well.

We booked Buttercream for our wedding cake and cupcakes and they were fantastic! Our tasting was awesome - the cake and frosting were light and the mousse was so good! We elected to go with a small tiered cake and a variety of flavors of cupcakes. The cupcakes were beautiful and the cake was so good. We had multiple people tell us that the cupcakes were the best cupcakes they had ever had! The pricing was also very reasonable and cupcakes were regular size, not smaller like some bakeries do for weddings. Would highly recommend them!

Buttercream was the preferred vendor for our venue and I can totally see why! They are professional, quick to respond and did an amazing job! We look forward to our one year anniversary to get another cake! Even if they are not the venue's preferred vendor, I would recommend Buttercream!

Our almond praline wedding cake was the absolute best - we wish we would have gotten a large cake for everyone! We did like the variety of cupcake options and our guests loved the convenience of cupcakes. We had to postpone our event due to Covid and Buttercream made rescheduling so easy. Delivery of desserts and rented stand was amazing so that we didn’t have to worry about arranging a pick-up. Overall, very satisfied with Buttercream for our wedding desserts!

Overall, our cake turned out tasting and looking great and we got lots of compliments! The tasting process was a little overwhelming, we could have used more guidance on how much to order based on our group size versus them asking us how many tiers or what size cake we wanted. Would recommend for a delicious cake!

Buttercream was a preferred vendor for MEC so we scheduled a tasting - it was NOT good, experience or taste wise. We ended up just doing a small cutting cake from them (in order for it still to be included through our venue for "free") and then desserts through MEC. The cake was very simple in design as we had asked them to, and it was delicious! Their tasting cupcakes must just be frozen for awhile or something.

BEST CAKE IN THE WHOLE WORLD! I highly recommend the Almond Praline Buttercream! Cake was a hit and my absolute favorite part of our wedding! It was beautiful!

We went through Buttercream for our desserts and we were so impressed at how good everything tasted!! We chose a raspberry marble flavor for our small cake, and then had Bailey's and Lemon Strawberry Split in the cake shooters with mini chocolate cheesecakes as a third option for our guests. Everyone talked about how good the desserts were, and we are so glad we decided to go with Buttercream!

Buttercream has wonderful cakes to begin with! But did an amazing job on our wedding cake. The service from tasting to finalizing the order was very well addressed. All of our guests had nothing but great compliments on how good the cake was. We were so impressed on how great the cake looked as well! Definitely getting something worth your money!

AMAZING! My mother insisted we have wedding cake and I was indifferent but after tasting this cake- I was a changed woman! All of Buttercream's cake flavors were phenomenal and we ended up with the lemon raspberry and baileys chocolate. All of our guests loved the cake.

We used Buttercream for our wedding at Summit Manor and they were wonderful. The tasting was easy to schedule and we had trouble picking just a few cupcake flavors because they were all so great. They were a breeze to work with when we had to postpone our wedding and were flexible with adding or reducing the number of cupcakes in the lead up to the wedding. Wonderful flavors, try the neopolitan flavored cupcake if you can. It sounds weird, but it's great!

This CAKE!!!! Like NO OTHER- so amazing- I had the most difficult time at the cake tasting which was so nicely set up for us! You get the feel immediately that they are here to ensure you get everything you want. Renee gave me many options on the size of cake, amount of deserts, rental stands if needed. It was really a great experience! The only thing I regret was not buy MORE because I was hoping for leftovers after the wedding but there were NONE left. We did get a cake and several deserts for guests to pick from, it was an absolute hit! Will be using Buttercream for all of our future events!

Working with Greg and the team at Buttercream to choose our cake flavors was a fun and seamless process! We ended up choosing a small cake for the bride and groom and cupcakes for the guests. The set up was so beautiful, and the cakes tasted delicious!

Crowne Plaza had a deal when we signed our contract that they would cover the cost of a wedding cake through Buttercream (preferred vendor) We had our tasting and tried about 8 flavors! We picked 2 for our tiered cake. They delivered on time and overall amazing!

The team at Buttercream was great to work with on finding flavors that fit us and a size of cake that made sense for our wedding. We had the Bailey's Irish cream and lemon strawberry flavors. Our guests raved about how good the cake was. We're just sad there weren't any leftovers!

Buttercream is one of our venue's preferred bakeries and we loved working with them. They created a beautiful custom 1-tier cake for use to cut, and were able to use design ideas we gave them from cakes we had seen on Pinterest. We served cupcakes for all of the guests, and they were a hit! We loved all of the flavor samples we tried and it was hard to choose which ones to order because their list of delicious flavors is so extensive. They worked with our venue to arrange the cupcakes in a display that looked great. We would highly recommend using Buttercream for your wedding!
