We had our wedding at Casa Cody & absolutely LOVED it!! The property is nestled under the mountains with the main drag only steps away, but somehow it feels like you've escaped into a secluded, serene paradise! The grounds are stunning- the rooms are quaint & stylish, the landscaping is immaculate, the bougainvilleas bright and citrus trees available for picking scattered throughout. We loved having all of our guests stay at the inn the entire wedding weekend! It made the weekend feel so intimate.
Hannah, the event coordinator & Santiago, the manager were fabulous to work with. I truly felt like they both went above & beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly & I really appreciated all the hard work they put into our day. In addition to the wedding, we hosted a brunch on Sunday & everything was coordinated to perfection. All the events ran seamlessly, thanks to the incredible Casa Cody team!
In full transparency, I did not have the best interactions with the corporate team that owns the inn (Casetta Group). Casetta Group took over the property after I had signed my contract for our wedding, and I noticed there were several discrepancies (IE: our deposit hadn't been collected, rooms hadn't been blocked off for our wedding date, the wedding suite booked out to a stranger when we asked to reserve it the days leading up). When I found out, I was very upset and wanted to set up a phone call to ensure this was being resolved. Brandi & Jennifer were hesitant to set up a call & genuinely seemed annoyed by my requests. Although they were able to resolve my issues in the end, I would've appreciated it being resolved in a more hospitable manner without me having to force their hand (it is a hospitality company after all!). My recommendation to any bride moving forward is to ensure you vocalize all of your requests & expectations when signing your contract! Casetta Group has drastically increased the price for weddings at Casa Cody, so they should provide an experience comparable to the price IMO! If you're a bride interested in Casa Cody I'd be happy to answer any questions or elaborate on my experience.
Overall, I'd highly recommend Casa Cody as a wedding venue! Especially if you're looking for a wedding venue that you can fully rent out for all of your guests. Also, I highly recommend Courtney Tibbets for a wedding planner- she is a PRO at this venue & knows all the ins & outs!
Casa Cody was an absolute dream to work with. Their team is so kind and so fantastic, helping us out where they could throughout the whole wedding planning process. We really feel lucky to have found them. The grounds are beautiful and each room on property has its own flair. Highly recommend if looking for a naturally lovely venue.
Our wedding here was unbelievable!! The grounds are gorgeous and we had the entire hotel occupied with our family and friends for the entire weekend! The venue and rooms were affordable and the location is ideal! The staff and the manager Randa were very helpful, but they are hands off which for some may not work. For us, it was perfect because we wanted to bring in all of our own food, drinks, etc. I recommend hiring one company to take care of all of this. TMC entertainment was great for rentals and music--fat boyz catering brought great tacos!! One of the most important things was to assign all the room to your guests ahead of time--this ensures that you have the people you want staying next to you and that they all have the right size and right priced rooms.
My (now) wife and I decided to have our wedding at Casa Cody in Palm Springs because it held a special place in our hearts. We traveled there for a weekend away early in our relationship, and its beautiful courtyards and gardens just seemed like the perfect place for our laid back, rustic wedding.
The inn has 29 rooms, so we took over the entire place for the weekend. Because there are 4 separate courtyards, we used the center courtyard for our rehearsal dinner & morning after brunch, the adobe house courtyard for our ceremony and the winters house courtyard for our reception. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond, the gardeners were working on overdrive to make sure all of the grounds looked perfect for our big day, and Randa the manager could not have been more accommodating.
If you're looking for a venue that will do everything for you (think handle catering, bartenders, rentals, dj, flowers, etc) this probably isn't the venue for you. The site fee is very reasonable but literally only covers the cost of the property. You're responsible for providing everything which was perfect for me because I was a super hands-on bride, but I know many people like the idea of choosing preferred vendors from a list and having an on-site wedding coordinator handle everything else. If that's what you're looking for, than this probably isn't the venue for you.
They are very laid back and the only stringent rule is that the amplified music must end at 10pm (we actually had an after party around the adobe house until midnight with no complaints!).
Because many of our guests arrived several days before the wedding and stayed on the property - everyone was able to really get to know each other (many of my family & my wife's family had not yet met, so this was a very nice aspect of the weekend). So once the wedding rolled around on Saturday everyone was already relaxed, had made many new friends and were ready to party.
Casa Cody does not advertise that they are available for weddings on their website, but they have a wedding nearly every weekend in the high season. All you need to do is call them up for more information.
I would absolutely recommend this little gem situated 1 block off of S. Palm Canyon Drive. If you're looking for a rustic, unique and naturally beautiful wedding venue, definitely check out Casa Cody. I couldn't say enough good things about the venue or the staff!
