*BRIDES/GROOMS BEWARE*
This place is not at all what it seems. They will reel you in with promises of your dream wedding. Day-of coordination services, top-notch food and accommodations, enough room in the Grand Ballroom for 100 guests and large dance floor. Yet it is all a lie. They will take your money and then ghost you, no emails or phone calls will be answered. I had my dream wedding come crashing down six months before the big day, only met with an attitude from the front desk and dismissive comments from the so-called "food/beverage/events" manager. How can you be "food/beverage" manager when your restaurant has been indefinitely closed with no hope of re-opening? By the way, they will say their wedding venue space is handicapped accessible. This is also a lie, as the main entrance's wheelchair lift has been broken for god knows how long. After months of trying to cancel our wedding contract, we were contacted by yet another "manager" who claimed he "had a note to call us on my desk for a month". Even though it had been 4 months...
They will make all the empty promises they can to have you sign a contract and then desert you. We went through 4 different managers, all disappearing. The only way I actually got in contact with someone was to show up physically in person. I was heart broken when I realized I had to completely replan the wedding under short notice, having to push back our special day 3 months because of their incompetence and mismanagement. I beg of you, save your money/time/heartache. There are plenty of other beautiful venues in the area, this ain't it guys.

My daughter’s wedding was held there in October, and it was a nightmare. We booked with them a year prior to the wedding and at the date of the wedding the hotel was on its third management with a fourth getting ready to take over.
1. Our block of rooms was given away numerous times. At one point, they said that all our rooms were booked by our guests, and they were not.
2. When I tried to call various times to book my room, I got a recording that no one was at the front desk, and it was after hours. Didn’t know that after hours started at 2:30 in the afternoon.
3. My daughter’s suite had issues with the air conditioning, so the room was at a constant 78 degrees. They offered on the day of the wedding to bring in a window unit, but this was offered 2 hours before the ceremony when people were getting ready, and photos were being taken. We had to settle for one fan.
4. It was an outdoor ceremony and an hour before the ceremony there were no chairs set up.
5. One person was told that they could give her frozen peas and carrots for a vegetarian meal as the wait staff was not told that there were some special plates ordered.
6. The reception hall also had issues with the air conditioning. People were standing in front of the window unit to cool off.
I could go on, but you got the idea. I have gotten better service at a Holiday Inn than this so-called high -end hotel. Do yourself a favor, and book anywhere else than The Castle Hotel and Spa.

The venue is one of the best in the area. We did the outside option, but they have inside as well. The staff is super friendly and super helpful. We had a perfect wedding and couldn't of asked for more.

Laura and I had the best wedding that we could have ever expected thanks to all Shannon's assistance before the actual day and during the entire event.
The ceremony and the entire reception were perfectly handled by the entire staff. Every guest came away as feeling special and stunned how beautiful the Castle’s setting is and how every detail was so well executed. Every one of our guests appreciated the professional staff and their seamless care without intruding.
I was stunned the first time I was shown the reception room by Shannon. The room was simply beautifully decorated and thoughtfully arranged. Terence, the Banquet Manager, also helped during the event leaving no request or need left unattended.
I never have enjoyed a wedding more and was fortunate that it was ours to celebrate.
The food was expertly prepared, perfectly presented and delicious. The food options were so wide that all the guests felt pampered and full.
The entire celebration was flawless and no aspect was rushed. No one wanted to leave and some guests closed the bar with us. We had to kick some guests out of the suite that you arranged for us. Wonderfully exhausting!
Thank you to Shannon for always being available during the planning stage and for hergood advice and suggestions.
Fortunately, we will continue to return to the Castle and already have.

It would be impossible to overstate how happy my new wife and I are with how our wedding day went. We were nervous and trying to tackle the kinds of issues that present themselves in most weddings but the staff, particularly our coordinator Shannon ensured everything proceeded as intended and we were able to relax and enjoy the entire event. I'm afraid I was too enchanted by my beautiful bride to give a detailed review but I can pass on the kinds of things our guests commented throughout the event - over and over we were told that it was the most beautiful wedding anyone has ever been to, that the food was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, that the location and grounds were perfect, and that the staff was professional, timely, and invested in having the event go better than smoothly. - we cannot recommend Castle Hotel and Spa enough.

To start off, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!! You did an amazing job and I can’t thank you enough for making our day so perfect!
I don’t even know where to start. Your staff was top notch, the food was incredible and everyone kept raving on how beautiful the place was. I can’t stress enough on how professional your staff was. They were the highlight of our time there. They were so focused and driven to make sure all the areas were checked off to perfection.
The room was probably the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. It was such a nice gesture and I thank you for that as well. We both were in awe when we walked inside and saw the beautiful view of the water. I was saying it the whole time to Sabrina that this was all Chelsea's doing and that I would bet anything on it! Now I can brag about it to her.
Thank you a million times again Chelsea. I couldn’t commend you enough on the amazing job you and your staff did and we must touch base again soon!!

This was really a fairytale venue. We had our wedding here on September 22, 2018 and I must say everything turned it absolutely perfect. Our coordinator was Cesar and he was amazing to work with. He listened to everything I wanted and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I have to admit I was kind of nervous about the food. I read some reviews a year back on some people being displeased. Well let me tell you they got a new chef and the food was the best wedding food I have ever tasted at anybody’s venue. It’s farm to table and everything is extremely fresh and delicious. I was worried that my food tasting would not taste anything like what it would be the day of and let me tell you there was nothing to worry about. The food was prepared and tasted just as when I went for our tasting. The chef is amazing their and we plan on going back just to eat at the restaurant! Overall I can honestly say I have nothing to complain about. Our day was absolutely perfect. It was really a fairytale in such beautiful location. We live in NYC and this venue was just a 30 minute ride from the city overlooking the river. It’s breathtaking and the service is impeccable. After our reception we were surprised with an engraved bottle of Moët champagne of our names and wedding date and rose petals everywhere. It was a beautiful surprise as well. I highly recommend this venue and I would ask to work with Cesar! He’s amazing!!!

Overall we had a great experience with the Castle. The venue is a gorgeous spot and everyone we dealt with was courteous. However, I was glad that we hired a separate wedding coordinator. The day of the wedding, it kept raining and then stopping and the venue staff was pushing for us to go with the rain plan. However, I was adamant about having the ceremony outdoors and my bridesmaids later told me that my coordinator had to negotiate with the staff to make the outdoor ceremony a reality.

I had never been to Sleepy Hollow but always wanted to explore it, ever since I was a little girl, so my father took me on a trip to see the sights and haunt the grounds that inspired the headless horseman. My father and I were wandering around Washington Irving’s property when he suggested that we have the wedding in this town. I loved that he was already taking part in the planning and so I eagerly began searching online for the perfect venue. Castle Hotel and Spa was one of the first websites to appear and I clicked on the link, and as it was with my husband, it was love at first sight.
The pictures I looked at over and over in my search engine seemed perfect for our theme- a mishmash of victorian, gothic, medieval and fantasy, it seemed to have it all! I immediately called the phone number provided and set up an appointment to view the grounds and get some more information, after all, I had never done this before and had no idea where to start.
My first impression of Castle Hotel and Spa upon our arrival was that it held magic inside, which was what I wanted my guests to feel, and was already impressed. The looming tower and lush gardens would provide the perfect background for our big day. We had met with Shannon a few times after our initial appointment, and it seems that she has magic inside of her too! She was incredibly helpful, and if not for her, I would not have been able to have the wedding of my dreams. She explained every question with clarity and precision, answered my (many emails) in a very timely and professional manner, and helped set up the (innumerable) candles and various decoration on the morning before the wedding. She turned a stressful process into a fun adventure, and I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work. She is truly an asset to her profession and to Castle Hotel.
Another employee that stood out to us was Tyrone, the Banquet Chef. From our tasting up to the big day, it was apparent that he had a passion for cuisine concocting and we could not have been more pleased with his dishes. Every single preparation was delicious and elegant and magical. Many of our guests even commented that the food was the best they had ever had eaten at a wedding. That was our goal and our chef went above and beyond to provide that for us.
In addition to Shannon and Tyrone, the employees at Castle Hotel were all professional and kind, making every single guest know that they’re special, and for that we will be forever grateful.
I mentioned the staff at length because without them our day wouldn’t have been as perfect. Our main worry was to provide an enchanting night for our family and friends, and without the humans running the show it would not have come to fruition.
As for the venue itself, our wedding day was the most magical experience for me and my new husband, enchanting comes to mind once again, and it’s hard to not get starry eyed when standing in an gracefully ornate grand hall with stained glass windows. I loved that every part of our wedding took place in a different room, and that every room was equally as breathtaking.
Our wedding day will be a night that I look back upon with absolute wonderment for many, many years. Thank you all at Castle Hotel and Spa for making my wedding vision unfold into a reality.

I will break our review into the things that went and worked well and things that can be improved. We had our wedding at the end of April. Ceremony outdoors, cocktail hour in the downstairs hall, reception in the great hall. The movement was due to impending rain, otherwise the cocktail hour likely would have been outside.
The Good:
1. The food was excellent at the cocktail hour as was the food served at the reception. The chef worked with us at the tasting menu and was able to do exactly what we wanted!
2. Bar service was prompt.
3. As the couple, there is one attendant who is on top of you during the event to make sure you are fed and always have a drink. She was ABSOLUTELY excellent.
4. Caesar, who runs events, was there day-of making sure things were in order.
5. We had a great time, there were no major hiccups. The good by far outweighed the bad, so don’t let the length of the below section dissuade you. We had a terrific wedding and were happy with the Castle.
The Needs Improvement / Be Aware:
1. Food service: seemed to take a long time and was a bit frustrating. We just wanted to dance and it seemed as though people were always waiting for salad/entree.
2. Outdoor ceremony: They still allow hotel guests or others to hangout on the balcony so it is entirely possible to have strangers watch your first look or ceremony.
3. Getting Ready: They only offer you a suite for the night of your wedding which the guarantee by mid-afternoon. However, this doesn’t give you enough time to get ready. So you will have to either get ready elsewhere or purchase a room for the night before and keep it for the second night (free). Depending on the size of your wedding party and if there are perhaps elderly/disabled folks that will be joining you to get ready, you should preview the suite that you may purchase. Another issue was when I requested a cot for my maid of honor to stay the evening before they said they could accommodate for an extra fee. With spending the amount we did on a wedding, surely it wasn't necessary to try and nickel and dime us.
4. Party size / dance floor: Be mindful of how the size of the guest list impacts the space remaining for the dance floor / band / DJ. If you have a DJ, they can go upstairs. (Ultimately having the DJ overlooking the dance floor was frustrating because we didn't’ have easy access to him when we wanted him to play something different). I had to propose several layouts and it was only when I worked with a different staff member did she propose ideas for what worked and what wouldn't work.

We recently had our wedding at The Castle Hotel and Spa. It was such a beautiful incredible venue to hold our wedding at and our day was absolutely perfect. The Castle was definitely attentive to us the day of our wedding and doing everything they could to make our wedding day go as smoothly as possible. The only feedback I would give to future Brides and Grooms would be to make sure you are very clear at your tasting exactly what you would like as there were some unexpected changes that occurred at our actual dinner during our wedding. Besides that I would highly recommend having your wedding at this beautiful location!

My mom recently threw me an incredible bridal shower in the main hall at Castle Hotel & Spa. The event manager, Nicole, was absolutely fantastic, both in the planning of the shower as well as the execution. She helped create a menu and an atmosphere that was nothing less than a fairytale. The food and the staff were excellent as well. I would highly recommend Castle Hotel & Spa as venue and Nicole as an event manager.

We were looking for a venue that was breathtaking and can also accommodate a small wedding. We had less than 30 people. During our search, it seemed that large venues weren't look at our wedding as a real event. Not at the Castle. Nicole was amazing. She made me feel like our wedding was the only event she was working with and the only event that mattered. E-mails never went unanswered and she was so accommodating. We had an amazing day thanks to the staff at the Castle Hotel and Spa.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Castle Hotel & Spa. The venue itself is a top-notch gorgeous location, and the level of service that we received from the hotel’s staff was impeccable.
We live in the city (my husband is in finance, I’m a TV producer), and we were looking for a location that’s close enough to the city (to accommodate all our NYC friends) but that also felt like a weekend getaway – and we found that Hudson Valley and beautiful Tarrytown were a perfect fit. The Castle is a stunning venue that’s exudes luxury and top-notch grounds maintenance (we were coming off a wedding at the Plaza, and we felt that Castle provided that extravagance of a Plaza wedding but at more reasonable prices). Our guests STILL rave about the cocktail hour – it’s hard to describe how beautiful the back area is until you see it with your own eyes. The dinner and dancing spaces were gorgeous as well – each very different in its own way, so we were able to provide a constantly dynamic experience for our guests throughout the night).
The shining standout of the Castle is its impeccable professional staff. We didn’t have a wedding planner, so we had to largely rely on Castle’s wedding team both throughout the planning process as well as the day of the wedding. Gilbert Baeriswil (the General Manager) was beyond helpful every step of the way (we had a slight hick-up with the dates in the beginning, but he more than made up for it and made us feel like the #1 customer all the way till the end). He was always available and accommodative, answered every question we had big or small very promptly, and helped guide the process from the moment that we booked the Castle as our wedding venue. Gilbert and his team catered to my every request and executed our vision perfectly (I also felt like they understood what I wanted from day one and didn’t require too much micro managing – which is huge for a busy bride!) The day of the wedding went very smoothly as well. Rudy Ferreiras and Amanda Depalma (day-of coordinators) were excellent (especially Rudy – he literally helped me with everything from ushering guests, to pulling up my heavy dress, to finding the bridal party, to sneaking us off to get us some food). I can honestly say that you don’t need additional wedding coordinating services; just having the Castle staff is enough (unless you get married off-site and need help coordinating transportation, etc.)
Food was another highlight of our day – the Castle food was hands down the best wedding dinner we’ve ever had. Between the quality & sophistication of the menu combined with impeccable waiting service – our guests felt like they were dining at a five-star restaurant. Every course was delicious and unique (none of that standard wedding “beef or fish” route), each course was paired with carefully chosen wine (and we’re big wine fanatics, so that part was important to us).
Overall, we had a tremendous experience at the Castle Hotel & Spa and couldn’t be happier with our wedding day. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant, classic occasion that’s still reasonably priced but that exudes luxury and impeccable level of service.

Castle Hotel and Spa is a most special place for a wedding. Not only is it incredibly scenic to have a charming castle as a back drop, but the grounds also are absolutely stunning with a Hudson River view as well. Firstly, they are a small venue for weddings and events under 120 people. Therefore, you get personal attention and don't feel like you're at a wedding mill. The Private Event Sales Manager -Melinda Marcinaccio Bartolini made all the difference as well. She helped us every step of the way and was so full of valuable information and guidance that we couldn't have done it without her. She was on top of every detail and knows her stuff. Without her I don't know if we'd have had such a flawless wedding. Her staff is amazing as well and you feel taken care of at every turn. The outdoor ceremony and cocktails had everyone singing the praises of the grounds and food. The reception in a stunning high vaulted cathedral with lovely long stained glass windows is out of a move set. The room is elegant and needs little other decor other then some candles and centerpieces.
The whole event was followed thru from beginning to end by the crackerjack staff from Melinda and Rudy on down. The food was incredible and the entire wedding exceeded our expectation 100 fold. Alex B.

My (now) husband and I got married in August at the Castle on the Hudson. Words cannot begin to describe how perfect our entire experience was from start to finish. The castle itself is the most beautiful backdrop for a fairytale wedding. When you book your wedding at the castle you have an entire wing of the castle to yourself -- it truly feels like you are in your own royal home. The staff caters to you and your every need like nothing I have ever experienced -- literally, every time I needed something, there was someone there to help me; however, the staff were never on top of me or my wedding party -- they just somehow seemed to know when we needed them. The service is truly impeccable and the rooms are all beautiful. The bridal suite is stunning and has the most beautiful views from all of the windows. I have to say Gilbert is, without a doubt, the most amazing manager I have ever had the privilege to work with -- every detail was taken care of perfectly and he made sure my entire wedding day went off without a hitch. From start-to-finish, spending the last year with Gilbert was a dream for a bride-to-be -- he is professional, kind, calming, and able to help make sure every wish you have comes true. I did not need a professional wedding planner with Gilbert there to make sure the entire day-of the event went so smoothly. My husband and I will always remember Gilbert fondly and be so grateful for how absolutely perfect he made our day. The food is out of this world -- aside from our 150-person wedding, we also hosted our 75+-person brunch at the Castle. The food is something people still talk to us about -- the pairings were excellent and absolutely fit for foodies. I would highly recommend the Viennese dessert option for brides -- it was absolutely worth the extra money and our guests loved it. I honestly have nothing but the most positive things to say about the castle, the staff, the food, the rooms, and the surroundings. My wedding was perfect.

I absolutely loved getting married at The Castle on the Hudson. I checked into The Castle on the Hudson the night before the wedding and was treated like a VIP from the start. Carrie, the manager responsible for the event, greeted me with a welcome drink and we went over the details for the wedding one last time. Then the day of the wedding, Carrie and Jeff, her right hand man, were checking on me during the morning to make sure everything was ok. The staff would notify me as the vendors and wedding party member would arrive. They were never overbearing but always there in case I needed anything. The grounds and the Castle were in perfect condition for our wedding.
We were married in the gardens and they showed me the set up and ensured that it was too my liking. They also showed me the reception room to ensure I was OK with it. During the event, Jeff was on top of everything. He even made sure I ate my dinner. The food was amazing, all of the guest loved the food. The wait staff was very attentive. At the end of the night, the staff at the castle left us a plate of desserts and a bottle of champagne. I was so happy with my wedding, it was stress free thanks to Carrie and Jeff.

We had our entire wedding weekend (rehearsal dinner, wedding and post-wedding breakfast) at the Castle on the Hudson. Gilbert and the Castle team were amazing to work with. All the emails I sent to Gilbert in the months leading up to the wedding (and there were many!) were answered right away. He did everything to make my life easier with preparing for the wedding. The weekend of the wedding was expertly handled by the Castle staff - I did not have to worry about a thing. The suite I stayed in the night before and we stayed in the night of was HUGE! I felt like royalty! The Castle decor, food and service were top notch. Our guests are still raving about the wedding! We are so happy we chose The Castle for our wedding weekend!

After looking for venues for several months my fiance and I, by chance, stumbled upon Castle on the Hudson. We were both eager to find a place that was, not only beautiful and elegant, but one that embodied the sense of magic and romance that speaks to our love for one another. The Castle was just the place. From day one, the Castle's Events Coordinator, Carrie, made the process of planning the wedding enjoyable and stress-free. She truly took the burden off my shoulders and helped us to create the small but intimate (60 people) wedding we were looking for. Although the Castle could accommodate a much larger group, it was still ideal for a group our size. The setting is without a doubt breathtaking and the grounds impeccably manicured. This made all the difference in our wedding photos which we will enjoy for years to come. The food was outstanding, the service was seamless, and the overall experience was the stuff wedding dreams are made of. My husband and I were able to enjoy our own wedding and take in the whole experience because of the professionalism of Carrie and her staff. The Castle on the Hudson absolutely delivered the perfect beginning to our happily ever after.

My wedding at Castle on the Hudson was exceptional. Our coordinator, Carrie was wonderful to work with. She was always friendly, patient, and timely with her responses to our emails and phone calls. She listened to all of my ideas and created an environment that was exactly how I had envisioned it. Each step along the way, her calm demeanor alleviated any stress I felt which allowed me to really relax and enjoy the entire day. The entire staff at Castle on the Hudson was attentive and lovely to myself, my husband, and all of our family and friends the entire weekend of the wedding. The rooms we stayed in were beautiful and spacious. The castle itself is gorgeous and the grounds are landscaped beautifully. The food at the wedding was excellent. My husband is a chef and we had a handful of guests that are either chefs or food enthusiasts and they all raved about how good the food was. The overall attention to detail was remarkable. Carrie managed to include all the unique little touches I requested throughout the evening making my wedding that much more special. From start to finish it was everything I imagined it would be.

We had our wedding there on May 19, 2012. We were extremely happy with the professionalism of the staff at the Castle. The staff treated us so well, bringing us drinks and food from cocktail hour while we had our pictures taken and bringing everything up to our suite after the wedding, including the dessert we couldn’t finish. Everyone in the bridal party, including the families of the bride and groom were treated exceptionally well. We had our wedding outside and it was absolutely stunning. The food during cocktail hour and reception were phenomenal. Our coordinator at the Castle worked closely with our vendors to ensure that everything went smoothly the day of the wedding.

Our coordinator at the Castle was Gilbert who made our wedding planning stress free. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and of course the food was incredible. The staff was very professional and extremely kind. I highly recommend the Castle on the Hudson for anyone looking for a beautiful and unique venue!

We could not have been happier with our choice of venue. The Castle on The Hudson made our wedding day truly magical. We have received endless compliments and rave reviews from our guests regarding the venue, quality of food and quality of service. A number have pointed out that this was by far the best wedding venue and food they have ever experienced (this included individuals who are used to high-end venues and dining). Food was exquisite, the dining room looked breathtaking and the level of service was simply top-notch. The Castle staff, from bellman to the General Manager, went out of their way to make our day special and memorable. Thank you!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Castle in February this year - the venue itself was gorgeous and all our guests enjoyed the unique touches of the reception. Since it was during the winter we wanted an interior which would sparkle in candlelight and resemble traditional banquets. We had cocktails in the Great Hall, then a three course sit down dinner downstairs in the reception hall, and dancing & dessert back in the Great Hall. The spaces fit 100 guests perfectly!
While planning the wedding, I was concerned with many of the details about the reception (I did not hire a wedding planner) - however, the few days preceding the day, the staff of the Castle were a tremendous resource and helped to decorate the venue exactly to order. Scott Woldman was a huge help and pleasure to work with - and helped my 92 year old Grandmother through out the evening. The venue is not cheap - but the food was amazing and worth the price. The Castle is also a reception hall which is continuously being used - however, on the day of the wedding, the attention to detail was a pleasant surprise!

The Castle is unbelieveably gorgeous and romantic. It was my dream venue and my guests were wowed by how beautiful it was. The wedding was beautiful--the grounds and building are amazing. It looks so impressive as your guests drive up the hill and enter. The food was great except the dinner roll was hard as a rock and the salad croutons were soft (ironic!) But my guests enjoyed their food and the great cocktail hour apps. They include so much food in your package we didn't see the need to pay for any extra (went to the tasting beforehand and the seafood bar is so not worth it--the crab claws were tasteless and impossible to pull from the shell)except we added a 3rd entree choice for dinner. The wedding cake was included and it was ok, but the pastry chef is amateur, the writing on the cake looked like cake writing 101 so if you are looking for a perfect cake, buy it elsewhere. We stayed the night before the wedding and the night of, and our suite was gorgeous and luxurious. Only complaint about that is there was no refrigerator so all the food my mom brought for us as we got ready had to spoil and I couldn't take it home the next day. All of the staff was friendly and competent except my wedding coordinator Scott. He has clearly been doing this too long and is soooo over it. He had an attitude for most of the planning. Wasn't very responsive to my mother's questions and said to her about 20x over the year "this isn't my first rodeo" when she'd express a concern or instruction. Terrible customer service on his part. And believe me, we are not annoying or difficult customers. My success in sales is dependent on providing excellent customer service so I know what I expect when I'm a client. He seemed annoyed and bothered by us most of the time we emailed and even on the day of. We should have gotten the hint when he didn't even show up to our first appointment to view and book the place. It seems the place really rests on it's laurels as there is nothing like this setting and location. BUT touting themselves as a 1st class venue, they really need to take a hard look at how the customer service hardly measures up. I also was annoyed that guests were not guided into my ceremony via the side entrance where we had candles and rose petals along the way, and some of them were confused when they entered the main entrance and it wasn't obvious where to go. Also--they did not have enough seats for all the guests at the ceremony and some people had to stand!! We gave them a proper headcount too so that was uncalled for. Also we got married early October on an unseasonably warm day, and it was ROASTING in the reception--I was sweating and they needed to bring in fans to put in front of us. Other than these issues we had a fantastic wedding. If I could do it again, I would book my wedding there but most certainly request a different sales coordinator! It's time this bucking bronco hung up his saddle!

Scotty, our wedding coordinator, made the day effortless. His attention to detail made the day stressfree. The venue itself has gorgeous rooms, suites, outdoor garden and banquet rooms. It's an ideal venue if you're planning a wedding slightly over !00 people. 120+ makes the space more cramped. The posted photos are outdated - classier and even nicer in person!! Chosing a venue that prepares tasty food with great presentation and also takes care of everything - including the cake is ideal.

I strongly recommend not doing business with the Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, NY. We were planning on a January 2012 wedding there but after we sent in our signed contract and they charged us over $2,750 for a deposit they decided that they didn't want to honor or contract because of all the snow and ice we had this winter. First they said that they would not be having any weddings during the winter and wanted to change it to October or November (not an option for us). When we finally agreed on a date in December they told us that someone else had taken it and there were no other dates available at our "price point" (in other words, they wanted to try to make us pay more than we had originally agreed to). After finally speaking to the General Manager they offered us only one other date in early December but refused to even consider anything in January. They kept our deposit for over 10 days while they tried to string us along to make us take a date that was better for them! They wasted over six weeks of our wedding planning time! Castle on the Hudson is more concerned about money than anything. The General Manager complained that they had to spend $6,000 in snow removal and also that they haven't made enough money this winter. Don't let this happen to you...do not go anywhere near the Castle on the Hudson! And don't believe anything they say even if it is in writing!

This is a beautiful castle that's perfect for an enchanting reception dinner. The best part? They even have lodging on the property for you guests.

My reception was in a castle and allowed me to be a princess for the day with my own wing of the castle. The castle provided a warm and intimate setting for my wedding. The grounds are immaculate and had wonderful views of the Hudson River Valley which was breathtaking with the fall colors on my wedding day.;If you have over 100 guests and a large band the dance floor is a bit small.

It was elegant and classic. I felt like a princess getting married in a castle. It was also a perfect size and did not make my small wedding feel dwarfed. The staff was extremely professional and helpful.;The front desk staff sometimes did not understand our arrangements for a room block and gave guests incorrect information, so I had to call with the guests to get it fixed.

A dream come true!! For anyone wanting a fairytale wedding in a castle ... this is the place!! The scenery, the ambiance, the food, everything was more than I could have imagined for my wedding!!;The dance floor was a little small for all of our guests, but that really is the only complaint that I can think of.

Loved the 'old world feel and charm' of being in a 1920's Castle!;Room service for the bridal party (morning of wedding)was EXORBITANT. Several hundred dollars for finger food and sangria?
