Castle in the Clouds offers an amazing wedding venue with panoramic views. The historic estate in Moultonboro, New Hampshire, was originally built in 1914 by Thomas Gustave Plant, who had previously worked in the shoe manufacturing industry. The land he bought stretched from the Ossipee Mountains to Lake Winnipesaukee. Since 2006, the estate has been owned and operated by Castle Preservation Society and is open to the public. Today, couples are able to host their wedding at Castle in the Clouds, on the lawn overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples may host up to 175 wedding guests for an indoor reception or rent a tent for larger weddings. There are four event spaces available for wedding couples to choose from when planning their wedding ceremony and reception. Options are available for outdoor weddings where couples and their loved ones will be surrounded by the incredible views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the mountains. Enjoy the incredible views during your ceremony on the Lawns outside the Lucknow Mansion, then host your cocktail hour on our Carriage House Terrace, and move into our Winnipesaukee Room for your dinner reception. Transportation is available and included to transport guests between the Lucknow Mansion and our Carriage House.

Our wedding day at Castle in the Clouds was perfection. We had the staff set up our decor so we could spend time with family and not have to worry about it, and they did a fantastic job. The manager Audrey and coordinators were wonderful and answered all my many questions leading up to and on the wedding weekend. They were so organized and spoke to our DJ and other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. Big SHOUT OUT to Melissa one of the head coordinators. She had the most amazing energy and stayed past closing time with us while we rushed to pack up all our decor. Thank you again for everything!

Castle in the Clouds is a magical and gorgeous venue! We would highly recommend hiring a month-of-coordinator. They have a lot of weddings to attend to and a small staff. At times they were difficult to get ahold of but did work well with our day of coordinator. They also have strict time constraints in terms of the ceremony, when you are allowed to be there setting up and taking down, and when your reception needs to end. However, even knowing that information we would not have made a different choice. Our wedding was absolutely magnificent and magical. The backdrop of the mountains and lake was incredible and we were on cloud 9. Just make sure to hire a coordinator (we highly recommend Wright up the Aisle!)

The rudest bartenders i have ever experienced. Everyone of our guests complained. so upsetting because everything else was amazing , the coordinator the other wait staff and the trolly drivers were all so sweet.

Fantastic venue would highly recommend. We had a great experience with all of the staff, but did have significant communication issues with the head coordinator for the months leading up to our wedding that did ultimately end up affecting our wedding day. We met the assistant coordinators the day before our wedding at rehearsal and they were both very helpful and welcoming to myself and my wedding party. Don't let this deter you from booking with CITC because it is the perfect venue, and our wedding was incredible, however, I may look into another outside coordinator to help make sure everything goes smoothly on your wedding day.

Our experience at Castle in the Clouds was just as magical as the view itself! The team was so helpful from start to finish and our day went seamlessly due to their tireless efforts. We literally had a perfect wedding day! We also put the team in charge or decorating for us and they did such a beautiful job. We were really so impressed by the experience there!

I love Castle in the Clouds! We had our wedding on 11/4 and it was an absolute fairytale. From the beginning, the team at the Castle were extremely helpful, responsive and professional. We felt incredibly supported in the planning process along with the wedding day itself. The coordinators worked so hard to make sure our day was everything we dreamed it would be. Our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the venue and it’s breathtaking view. I would highly recommend anyone book their wedding at Castle in the Clouds if they are looking for a day out of a fairytale! Thank you again Jill, Patti and Maddie! 😊

I got married here on 7/15/23 and it was everything I could of dreamed of! From the incredible views, to the gorgeous ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces, and the helpful coordinators, it truly could not have gone better. If you are looking for “rustic fairytale” vibes, then this venue might just be perfect for you!

We had the most incredible fairytale wedding at Castle in the Clouds in November, and on a record 70-degree day!! The venue itself was absolute perfection. All our guests were blown away by the views and the charm of the Castle grounds and event space. It really is a fairytale. I also found their pricing very reasonable for both the venue fee and the bar. All the staff was incredibly kind and professional. The only reason I subtracted one star is, as some other reviewers have mentioned, the events staff is a very small team and appeared to be a bit overwhelmed at times, so communication and responsiveness were often extremely slow in the wedding planning process. I ended up hiring a day-of coordinator, which resolved my concerns and I would recommend this to brides looking at weddings here if you are expecting more hands-on support and/or aren't local to the area.

Getting married at Castle in the Clouds was the perfect setting for our big day on 10/22/22. We had the most beautiful fall day & I was so pleased with how far my budget went at the castle, the open bar pricing is hard to beat & the catering options were so reasonable. The venue has so much character we barely had to decorate & the food from great events catering was excellent. Our guests loved seeing different parts of the property & we’re so happy to have this special place to visit for years to come.
It’s worth noting that the events team at the castle is tiny for the volume of weddings they hold. We appreciated all they were able to do for us & could see how hard they work to make sure their couples are well taken care of. This is not a team that has the capacity to respond in real time throughout your planning process & they were great about letting us know their limitations. We hired a day of event manager to help with all the vendor coordination & day of details in the final months leading up to our wedding & we all had a great experience working with Jessica & the events team during our wedding week. Thank you Jessica, Patti, and the entire castle team!

We had our wedding at the Castle in the Clouds and loved it. The wedding views from this venue (which are on top of a mountain and overlook Lake Winnipesaukee and the other mountain ranges) were absolutely beautiful. The wedding vows are said on the very top of the mountain and the guests are transported up by trolleys (which they loved), and the cocktail hour is outside a little lower down on the mountain with breathtaking views, and the reception is inside a beautiful space. Jess, the coordinator there, was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions and helped the day run smoothly. We would absolutely recommend Castle in the Clouds for a unique and picturesque wedding venue.

My working relationship with Castle in the Clouds progressed in a positive direction from our first meeting forward. At first, I was extremely impressed with the venue itself but not particularly with the planner. When I began working with Jessica, things markedly improved, and when she went on maternity leave and left my wedding in the capable hands of Patti and Courtney, they orchestrated my wedding day without a hitch. I only met Patti over the phone about a week ahead of time, and Courtney the day before, and they were accommodating, flexible, positive, organized, and Courtney in particular was kind, warm, and soothing. There were other staffers (the trolley drivers, and a lovely woman who I saw all evening but never got her name) wandering around helping, initiating, and offering kind words to keep me and my groom happy and upbeat. The bartender made my signature cocktail again and again to the delight of my guests. This has to be hands-down the most beautiful wedding venue in New England, and choosing CitC was the best and most fundamental decision I made for my wedding. You won’t be disappointed with this team and the views and venue couldn’t disappoint if they wanted to.

The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because the view and location was perfect. Unfortunately Jessica was going on maternity leave right before our wedding and she was supposed to transfer everything over to Patti and Courtney. The day before when we were setting up the decorations I noticed that a) the tables were not in the correct spots and b) there were not the correct number of chairs. This wasn't fixed until day of. When we arrived to get ready the day of Patti was unaware of all of the extra things I had purchased, Wine on the table, champagne toast, champagne for getting ready. I had to explain all of it to her. Then halfway through all of us getting ready a tour came upstairs and was touring the venue in the middle of my bridesmaids and I getting ready. They were filming all of my bridesmaids and it made them very uncomfortable. Patti left to take the groomsmen up and Courtney hung back with us. Courtney was great to my girls and the groomsmen. Then after the ceremony we were trying to get my bustle going and we just kept being rushed by Patti to finish. It was just not as organized as I had hoped it would be which made me sad. None of my guests noticed but it was very stressful for me. I wish the transition had been a lot smoother. We did end up having a great day but I wanted to just post this review so that the next bride can know what to do.

My husband and I finally had our wedding after having to postpone it due to the pandemic. Castle in the Clouds and Jessica were completely accommodating when everything started to fall apart and we couldn’t be more grateful for that! When our wedding weekend FINALLY arrived, everything was perfect. Jessica and team did a great job keeping everything organizing and I never felt like I had to worry about a thing. And really, the venue is stunning. All of our guests were blown away by the scenery and the added history of the Castle makes the experience so special and unique. If you’re considering getting married here, just do it. You won’t regret it!

Wow! What an amazing experience it was, not only to get married at this most beautiful location, but also to go through the wedding planning process with Jessica at Castle in the Clouds. Jessica is the wedding coordinator here, and is great at her job. She easily honored my requests to do some things differently than usual, and met with us many more times than necessary. She was always kind, thoughtful, professional and flexible! She had us feeling like we were the only couple she was working with (which was so not the case)!
Having our wedding at Castle in the Clouds was an experience for us and our guests. With trolley rides, a castle, remarkable views of Lake Winnipesaukee, and great service; we had our guests saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Thank you, Jessica, for making our visions come to life for this unforgettable day!

We got married at Castle in the Clouds on September 29, 2019 and it was absolutely beautiful. From our wedding venue tour up until the actual day we worked with Jessica and there are no words to describe how great she is! Everything was organized and perfect and I truly did not feel stressed the day of. We still hear from our guests on how amazing the day was and how beautiful the views from the ceremony are. We were also able to do a horse draw carriage to get to the ceremony and it felt like a fairytale. My husband and I could not have imagined our wedding at another venue.

The only word we heard throughout the entire day and evening was "Perfect." Hard to beat that! We had guests from 12 states and Canada and everyone was amazed at the setting, views and beauty. Jessica Raymond, the wedding coordinator, was with us every step of the way for the 22 months of planning! She answered every email, told us what we needed and what we could do without (how awesome is that honesty!), offered us things that we could use, gave us vendor recommendations. Always with graciousness and a smile. The trolley rides were fun, the food from Hart's was delicious. Cocktail hour on the patio was fun for guests to take their own photos. None of us can imagine a more special, unique and beautiful venue to begin the rest of your life. Perfect!

I am very disappointed that I have to write this 2 star review. We booked the Castle in the Clouds over two years before the wedding and were so excited with everything that was included. The price was phenomenal, especially since it's an all inclusive venue (minus catering, but they supply you with 3 catering options). Jessica, the coordinator, was very easy to work with in the beginning, always responding to emails right away and being very attentive. However, about a month and a half before the wedding, I emailed her asking a couple questions and sent her our final headcount, and she never responded. In our contract, it said that she would be in contact 2 weeks before the wedding and I hadn't heard from her. I emailed her about a week and a half before the wedding and she responded and told me that she would like to talk to me on the phone. I gave her three days of availability of when I could talk and she never emailed me back. I emailed her again three days later (a week before the wedding), letting her know of a 2 hour window that I was not free and she emailed me back at 9pm that night, but never called. She apologized and picked a time for when she would call the next day. I made myself available the next day, again waiting for the 2 hour time frame of when she said she would call, without a call or email saying she could not talk. I finally got a call the following day (now within a week of the wedding) to go over the planning form she had, which is all things I had emailed to her prior, and something she could have just sent me via email instead of playing phone tag for 3 days. Our contract said that the day before the wedding, we could set up between 10-4pm. Our rehearsal was at 3pm, and when I talked to her, she said that since we were using their linens, we could come at 11am and they would be set up for us. At 11am, my husband showed up and they told him that it was "a little early" and asked him to come back later, as the board of Trustees were having a meeting in our reception space. He informed them that we had been told 11 am, even though our contract said 10am, and that we needed to start setting everything up if we were to be ready for our rehearsal at 3pm. We were then told that we could go upstairs and just stay quiet. My grandmother, who is normally a slightly loud woman, was speaking too loud for the Board Director's liking, and instead of asking politely for them to quiet down, he slammed his fist and yelled at my grandmother, who got upset. Jessica apologized and waived our prosecco toast's cost, but it was extremely unprofessional. The day of the wedding, Jessica had said that she would set up my cupcakes and store them in the fridge until it was time for the wedding. I told her when they would be dropped off, and when my friend brought them, he was told she didn't have time to help him unload them and that she would get to them when she could, even though we had instructions to put them in the fridge right away. It was an 80 degree day, they had been in the car for an hour and a half and some of them were cream based. Lastly, we did our first look at the top of the mountain, and even though we were in a suit and gown, the trolley drivers would not bring us up without Jessica saying it was okay, causing a 20 minute delay in our pictures. Overall, our wedding ended up beautifully, but the venue was very hard to work with and added extra stress that shouldn't have been there.

I honestly don't know where to begin in thanking the wedding coordinator, Jessica for EVERYTHING leading up to our beautiful day at this absolutely amazing venue. When touring venues, I wanted to come here last because I just had a feeling it was going to be the one...and it was! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the views are amazing and the staff are wonderful! When touring this venue, Jessica was there every step of the way. She was attentive, thorough and more than happy to answer any questions/provide information along the way. No matter what crazy idea I had come up with Jessica always reminded me that it was my day and we could make it happen and boy did she deliver. My day was nothing short of the most amazing day of my life so far and I can't thank the Castle and Jessica enough for that. She was there to fluff the train of my dress before walking down the aisle, she was there to help bustle it when my bridesmaids forgot how to and kept the night running smoothly. I did not worry about a think at all that night because of her. I let her know where I was thinking I wanted things and i fully entrusted her to decorate. They room looked beyond beautiful and everything was literally perfect. It has been a little over a year later and guests are still talking about what an amazing venue we held our wedding at and how much fun they had.

We had an incredible tented wedding this past June up at Castle in the Clouds. Jessica and the other coordinators did such an amazing job bringing together all of our vendors and adding all of the tiny details that you don't even know you need. Had such a great experience working with the event planning committee here. Jill was our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond. Throughout the planning process she answered all of my questions. We opted to have our flowers delivered in bulk and she went above and beyond to receive them on a Wednesday, as we weren't going to be in town until Thursday. She helped us coordinate our day after brunch on the grounds and rolled with the punches the day of when the weather was not in our favor. Had a great experience with Jill and her entire team. Our day was so memorable despite the weather. Beautiful venue and talented and professional team.

We worked with Jessica at the Castle and our wedding was PERFECT! We had such an amazing time. They offer so many unique options that it will really make your day stand out. Jessica was responsive, attentive, and super friendly. We both really loved working with her. Wedding planning is hectic, as we learned, and without her assistance, things would not have gone as smoothly as they had! We had a major hiccup prior to our ceremony and she was able to help us pull through and get things done! The staff from the bartenders on down did an amazing job and we truly can't thank them enough! They made our wedding experience truly special! Thanks to you all for everything you did! We can't recommended this crew strongly enough! Side note, they just did some renovations in the carriage house and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

For me first impressions are important, especially when planning a wedding and investing large amounts of money in the process. I arrived for a 3:00PM appointment with Jessica; the staff working looked unorganized and inattentive. Unfortunately Jessica kept us waiting for 20 minutes downstairs and we decided to leave. Unprofessional in my opinion for such an important event.

We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience with us. We strive to give everyo...
ne the best possible experience, but unfortunately things can sometimes run a little off schedule. Between having only one person in our events office on this day and them having to finish a meeting with a booked bride and groom that started late, it simply put us slightly behind. The staff members that were working downstairs include those from our restaurant and facilities departments, who were prepping for being open 7 days a week. Restaurant staff did let you know that our coordinator was finishing with clients and would be there to meet with you shortly. We apologize that we could not meet with you right at 3:00 pm as scheduled, but it was beyond our control at this moment.

Words cannot describe how amazing Castle in the Clouds was for our wedding and reception. Everything went absolutely perfect. The ceremony site was utterly perfect, the guests LOVED the views, and could not get enough of the trolleys that took them to and from the castle. The reception went absolutely flawless; the set up went perfect, the space was perfectly sized for our wedding, and everyone had a blast. Most importantly, the coordinator Jess was an absolute godsend. She answered all of our questions leading up to the wedding, and the day of she was absolutely invaluable. She helped pin the boutineers(sp?) on myself and my groomsmen, kept myself and my wife calm and relaxed(she kept running up and down the stairs making sure we had everything we needed), printed out a copy of my vows last minute so I had a backup(I had memorized them but began worrying I may forget a line. I didn't in the end :) ), had beers and glasses of wine ready for the bridal party when we got finished with pictures. Everything she did helped make our day perfect, and I CANNOT stress how wonderful her and the whole Castle in the Cloud's crew were. If you want the perfect wedding, have your wedding at Castle in the Clouds. You will not be disappointed.

The event coordinator, Jessica, did an outstanding job with planning for my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. She covered all details in advance - some that could easily be forgotten or totally overlooked. Jessica was very patient and very responsive over the months prior to and on the day of the wedding. As the mother of the bride whose role was somewhat limited , Jessica always responded to my questions - I found her excellent to work with!
On the day of the wedding, we had some 'glitches' - from guests arriving late (there was almost an entire trolley full of late guests partly due to it being a holiday weekend and many hit heavy traffic even though we told them to give themselves extra time to get there!) and heavy rain causing guests to run for cover which then caused further delay of the ceremony. Jessica and her team didn't miss a beat and handled the challenges very professionally and as best as one could expect.
The venue is highly recommended not only for its event coordinator's expertise but also due to it's existence being around for future generations - one can always visit the house and grounds and reminisce about its special place in the family. So many other facilities do not stay around for future generations like Castle in the Clouds!
The wonderful memories of that day and its beauty will last forever - beyond the lifetime of the bride and groom! A beautiful setting for that dream come true wedding!

First I would love to say the grounds are beautiful. One of the main components to our decision here. You cannot beat the views! Having our wedding here (coordination wise) was really disappointing, our guests arrived and the property was still letting tourists view the grounds. I was standing in my dress tucked away watching people eat lunch and taking the trollies up to our ceremony site. Which made our guests stand waiting for trollies as well as running us behind an hour, an hour the grounds didn't honor us for our wedding. Nothing was set up at the ceremony site my husband and our wedding party had to help set up our refreshment table and all the chairs. My advice to the coordinators and the castle staff is CLOSE DOWN YOUR FACILITY at least an hour or 2 before a wedding, to make sure everything is seamless. To top it off We had a candle lighting during our ceremony and the castle staff placed a book of BURNT matches on the table for us to use. As beautiful as it was I was really disappointed to know we spent all this time planning with castle for it to know coordinating was thrown together

So sorry to hear of your negative experience from your wedding here at Castle in the Cloud...
s. We truly strive to give all of our brides and grooms the best day possible. You mention the property still being open to public guests when your wedding guests were arriving. Our property is still open to public guests until 5:30 but they do not have access to the front lawn ceremony space beyond 4:30 which was explained to you prior to booking. Closing our property to public two hours before our weddings is not possible as this is a daily running museum and our public guests are just as important to us as our weddings are. Their support along with our weddings is what keeps our historic estate running.
To address you being tucked away in your dress, all brides are given access to our bridal suite on their wedding day to get ready and have a space away from where the groom and guests may be able to see them, this is customary on a wedding day. The bridal suite is located on the 2nd floor of our Carriage House and this does overlook our outdoor patio space where café guest do dine. It also overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounding mountains which most brides seem to enjoy this view while they’re waiting for their ceremony to start.
On 6/24/17 one of our three trolleys was in the shop for repairs so that did cause a slight delay in getting your guests up to the ceremony but we assure you, your wedding was less than 30 minutes behind and not an hour as mentioned. We would never allow for a wedding to run an hour behind as this creates a domino effect, putting dinner, DJ service and everything behind for the night. Working in this business for years, we know the outcome of a very late ceremony and would never let that happen but often we see ceremonies start 10-30 minutes late. This can be due to a number of things, late guests, bride not ready, trolleys, rain etc.
Regarding your groom and wedding party assisting in setting up ceremony chairs and beverage station, the groom and groomsmen are always first up at the ceremony site, getting there before any of the guests. This is the same time our staff is setting up for ceremony. We always have staff designated for set up and this is not something the wedding party/groom is ever responsible for. On that day, your groom approached us and asked if there was anything he could do to help. He then kindly took it upon himself to begin helping but our chairs were almost completely set up at this time. We see this often where the wedding party gets nervous that things aren't done yet or we are forgetting something but rest assured, we are very organized and do this every weekend, we have specific timing and reasoning for everything we do on the wedding day.
It is unfortunate that at your candle lighting ceremony a box of matches is all that was available. We see candle lighting ceremonies often and almost always the bride and groom will bring their own lighter. If not, we are happy to supply one but due to your wedding being an outdoor tented reception in our field, all of our lighters were down there for the lighting of your many floating candles and small votives, we apologize for not having those available and matches being the only thing we could provide.
Again, so sorry your experience with us was a negative one and we value your opinion and thoughts. We try to go above and beyond for all of our weddings and it is very disheartening to hear that you were not happy with us.

Couldn't have picked a better venue! The views are by far the best in NH....and the wedding coordinators were unbelievably helpful. I worked with Jessica, Jill and Samantha on my wedding day and all three ladies went above and beyond in making my day perfect. I purchased their decorating service for a very reasonable price and they decorated the reception space better than I ever imagined. They included many of their own small decorations including signage, lanterns and candles...ALL complimentary. It really just added the finishing touches in the room. I highly recommend Castle in the Clouds to anyone looking for a stunning view with amazing staff!

First off, best location in terms of view! They staff was extremely helpful and responsive the during the whole planning process. Then it poured on our wedding day but they worked with us to push back the ceremony 20 minutes to make it work when the rain let up. It is a little pricey but it is totally worth it!

I knew that I wanted to get married at the Castle and didn't even consider any other venue. We had to postpone our wedding a year to get the date that we wanted, and I'm so glad we did. The grounds are obviously beautiful and the customer service is right on par. Our wedding planner Rodyan was incredibly helpful. She and her staff were very responsive to all of my pre-wedding questions, including suggesting vendors. They also offer a wedding showcase where you can test food from their two caterers and meet some of their most trusted vendors (this is how we found our florist). They were also very accommodating to some of our non-traditional requests.
The day of they were totally on top of our schedule and made sure that everything ran smoothly and on time.
I cannot recommend a more magical venue for your special day.

My husband and I picked this venue because of the location. It has THE MOST amazing view of NH. The grounds are absolutely beautiful as well. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day and we were forced inside. I did not have to lift a finger and everything was moved so quickly as soon as I said the word. The wedding coordinator, Rodyan, took care of everything for me. The reception was set up wonderfully as well. We plan on visiting very frequently.

We had our reception and cocktail hour at Castle in the Clouds. We chose the venue mainly for it's unique charm and unbelievable views of Lake Winnipesaukee, where I spent my childhood summers.
At first I was very disappointed with the wedding coordinator. It took her extremely long to answer an emails (up to 3 weeks), and that made my planning process more difficult than it had to be. I had to reach out to her multiple times to get any questions answered, and often felt as if I were bothering her. However, in the spring of 2012 though they hired a new wedding coordinator, and she is excellent. Working with her has been like a breath of fresh air.
On my wedding day the staff did everything in their power to make my day perfect, and it was.

An absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding and reception. It felt magical to our guests. The communication with the staff there in the months leading up to the wedding was slow at times, but we had no complaints the day of. Everyone was professional, service was good, and the day went off without a hitch.

This site served as a storybook setting. Wedding service took place in front of a castle over looking a amazing view of many lakes and mountains in New Hampshire. Staff was very helpful and did all the work for us. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a cinderella type wedding :)

The location could not be more perfect! Especially because we got married in October. The staff on the other hand are far from wonderful. You pay a lot of money to rent the space and they provide nothing but the space. The day of it was chilly and while my husband and I were doing our photos I asked if the bridesmaid's could go inside to warm up, I got and eye roll and an "I guess" from one of the wedding coordinators. Also I had to go to a holding room so the guests could be seated, and I had to pass all the guests in the process...surprise gone. The trolley that runs back and forth from the ceremony location & reception house was unorganized and I was supposed to be in a white one which didn't happen. I also had cake delivered and I got a typical cake then a sheet cake to make up the difference for the amount of people we had and the caterer who is contracted through Castle in the Clouds and the coordinators never had the sheet cake cut or served to the guests. So someone walked off with an amazing $400 sheet cake with no questions asked to the bride...
Again this place is beautiful and I had a great wedding but it was because of our JP, Photographer, DJ and family not because of staff at the castle. It's a shame they don't have a better wedding department for such an amazing location.

The most beautiful views you can imagine!! Just beautiful! The wedding was perfect. By the grace of God, we had a perfect weather... I have to admit, it was a little nuts for a while... The wedding coordinator quit 3 weeks before the wedding,.. and I was going nuts trying to get in touch with her or anyone... But the events coordinator took over the week before the wedding & the day of the wedding ran smoothly... she did a great job..

I absolutely LOVED having my wedding ceremony at the Castle in the Clouds. I didn't like their Carriage House too much, so we had our reception somewhere else, but it was my husband's dream to get married at the Castle and I knew immediately that this was the place for our special ceremony. The wedding coordinator, Heather, was also terrific. She hung the bows on the chairs for me, and lined up my bridesmaids and helped everyone figure out what to do and when to go. It worked out to be the most beautiful ceremony that we could've imagined, and ALL of our guests commented on the gorgeous scenery. One of my nieces admitted to me that she felt bad that she wasn't paying attention during the ceremony, but she kept getting distracted by the unbelievable views and she couldn't help it. :-) It was without a doubt the perfect location for a wedding..... however....
In my opinion, the price is outrageous. I was willing to pay the $1500 for only an hour at the Castle, despite the fact that I thought that amount was crazy. It's only an hour, and we weren't even allowed in the Castle... that's just for the lawn. But it was my husband's dream location, so we sucked it up and paid it. Then he really wanted to share the Castle tour with our guests, so I agreed to suck it up again and pay the group rate of $10 per person for all of our guests. I thought it was ridiculous that we had to pay for the self-guided tour in ADDITION to the lawn rental fee (it should come WITH a tour for that price) but fine... it's our wedding day. But then I went back and I checked the package prices for this year.... and it DOUBLED! It's now $3k for the lawn rental! And that's not all. The alloted time was cut in half. Now it's $3k for only HALF HOUR.
My overall review can be summarized like this: If you can afford to pay their RIDICULOUS price.... the views cannot be beat.
