Celeste

My wife and I were married at the beautiful Celeste venue in river north Chicago. We had looked far and wide for a wedding venue with a different vibe and Celeste was just that. We kept our wedding small at around 26 people and this was the perfect accommodation for the event. What drew us to this venue was the use of multiple floors for each section of our wedding. We had our ceremony and dinner on the outdoor rooftop, while our cocktail hour was in Deco on the 2nd floor, and reception dancing ended in Disco! We loved every minute of it. Although I'll add that communication was difficult at multiple times when we were needing answers to pass along to guests/outside vendors - the venue and staff pulled through as we got closer and helped clear up any unanswered questions or to-dos. Kassandra really was our go to connection and she was beyond helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. She assist and went beyond to make sure that the weekend of our wedding was perfect. We were nervous as this is a wedding venue within a restaurant/club location but when we arrived and opened the doors we saw that everything was stunning and perfect. I HAVE to give a shout out to the in house staff and catering/kitchen. They were phenomenal!! Having such great staff basically be there for us throughout dinner for our needs was such a plus and basically a surprise! The bartenders were so accommodating and the FOOD was UNREAL! Seriously! With such a great venue we received more compliments about the dinner than we expected! We never had a tasting and this was such a fantastic feeling to have such amazing dishes! Don't skip on the house pasta! Celeste, you made our dreams come true and thank you. I know we weren't easy but we appreciate all of the work you all put in. Thank you!!

My husband and I got married at Celeste. We had our ceremony on the rooftop garden, the cocktail hour on their deco floor, and the reception was split between the garden and disco. While unconventional, we had so much fun and the food and drinks were exceptional. All our guests raved about both and we heard from several that it was their favorite wedding they’ve ever been to. Can’t recommend the Celeste team enough!

Admittedly, Celeste was not the initial venue of choice for our pre-pandemic wedding, but served as an ideal setting for our intimate 30 person microwedding. The rooftop Garden is a really lovely, lush setting with much greenery and vibrant, eclectic furniture that really paints a unique picture for your event. The rooftop is retractable which is perfect for sunny days, but if weather is inclement (like on our day) then it is easily closed and still preserves your original event details without having to sacrifice for your rain plan. Additionally, since it did rain on our day, the clear glass rooftop gave us a really beautiful greenhouse effect that actually added more beauty to our ceremony. You’ll be very happy with clear or dark skies on your day! This couple was already fans of the Bonhomme Group (who owns this restaurant) and the food and drinks did not disappoint. The intimate setting allowed us to treat our guests to higher quality food and cocktails (the house cocktails are DELICIOUS. The restaurant let us rename them for day too!) than we would have received from hiring outside vendors to join us at a different venue. The lemon raspberry cake the venue baked for us was incredible - we ate more of it from our hotel bed the next morning! That good. Our time with Celeste took us to both the Garden rooftop for our ceremony and dinner, as well as their other floors for cocktail hour and a bride and groom brief getaway. Each is a very unique experience that can give some fun variety to your day. Working with the event team at Celeste too was very smooth. While initial communications with them could have been slightly timelier, this was not an issue as we closed the gap to the actual wedding day. Overall, we were very, very happy with Celeste as our venue and think this version of our wedding would have been better than what we could have planned initially. One thing to note is that we weren’t allowed to actually hold dances in this space - if you’re looking to have a reception complete with dancing, we’d recommend booking an additional space along with your time at Celeste.
