Charles and his team helped us with our rehearsal dinner in Fairfield. I was from out of town and definitely needed as much help as possible. Charles not only provided the gorgeous floral arrangements, but sewed up all of the details with color and table setting to create the exact mood and tone I was hoping for. I cannot more highly recommend Charles for any event being planned; he is a thoughtful listener, talented floral designer and event planner, and he professionally executes beyond expectations!

We highly recommend Charles and his amazing team at The Flower Basket of Westport for all and any events in need of floral decor. My husband and I got married this past summer and Charles went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly beautiful. Leading up to our wedding, our conversations with Charles were always thoughtful and man, did that show in all of the gorgeous floral decorations on our wedding day. Every corner of our wedding space was meticulously thought out by Charles and his team. Our vision for implementing color through the floral decor was spot on and it was elegantly done. Words really can't express how fantastic of a job Charles did. He and his team took their time with every detail and it showed. Not only did we hire Charles for the floral decor, but we hired him as well as a day of coordinator and he made sure that everything was taken care of. Charles helped us greatly by shaping our vision and by creating a space that was breath taking. We are very appreciative of him and his team and cannot recommend him enough!

With just one meeting, I knew I could leave the floral design in Charles’ experienced hands for my son’s Thursday evening rehearsal dinner at Belle Haven. An unexpected, but so very valuable bonus, was his event design expertise. Charles is a pro who is particular about his flowers and whose design sensibilities are finely tuned. I brought him my preliminary choices of linens, colored glass chargers and goblets, chair rentals, and layouts, along with the place card and menu artwork of beautifully drawn orchids and sea grass. He helped me pull it all together visually, refining, and advising where to spurge and where to save. The centerpieces were designed to reflect the colors of the artwork and table scape, the ascetic theme of the evening and the overall seaside setting. For our outside cocktail tables he floated exquisite orchids and peony like roses in angled glass containers, a refined and understated touch that was practical in our windy location. He suggested tall palms backlit to great effect against a mural wall as an alternative to expensive and, in both our views, tacky wall draping, which proved to be thematically perfect and at almost half the cost. He personally delivered and set up and lit the palms, and at the end of the night brought boxes so that the floral could be repurposed for Friday’s full day and evening of events. With some rearranging, the orchids were reimagined for a completely different ascetic presentation and they were stunning. The rest of the flowers were recomposed to reflect the more casual look of Friday’s events and all still looked beautiful Saturday brunch as the very large wedding party and family enjoyed the day and got ready for the evenings wedding reception at Stone Barns. Charles and his crew at The Flower Basket are amazing. When Charles started with us, he was totally immersed in my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. They had some special requests about vases and cultural elements. He used their vases and tied everything together beautifully. He poured all of his heart and creativity into the event and the flowers were awesome.

I have known Charles for 30 years, he is my go to florist to send and receive! When it came to planning my daughters wedding, there was no question on who I would trust to do the flowers. He gave us everything we asked for and more.

I could not have been happier with the flowers and arrangements at my wedding!!! I shared with Charles and his assistant, Will, inspiration photos and that’s about it. We are having a destination wedding in November '22 and were not sure we were communicating properly with the florist we were gong to use. We have purchased flowers from Charles many times and know he is a wedding planner as well so we called him to see if he might look at our proposal to help us understand it better. We found out he actually does consultations like we were requesting quite often. He charges a minimal fee of $100 and in the end we saved about $4,000 in floral charges we really didn't need. He's a gem!

Charles Case's floral creations are truly artistic! The bride’s (my daughter in law’s) bouquet was specifically customized to her love of flowers and color choices. The other arrangements he made for our backyard wedding added all the finishing touches needed to complete this event . Nine years ago we hired Charles for my daughter's wedding. He did such an excellent job, that when my second daughter embarked on her wedding journey, I knew we would be using Charles again. My daughter decided at the beginning of September that she was going to get married at the beginning of October. Because of Covid, there weren’t going to be a lot of people and the event would be outside in our neighborhood. I truly believed it would be no big deal. From the moment we walked into Charles shop, his professionalism and experience were apparent. He helped us navigate every step of this unusual event. What seemed like no big deal required a rental person, a cook tent, a generator, porta potties, servers, heaters (both electric and propane), lighting and so much more. We walked in to Charles shop to get some flowers for a small dinner party and ended up with a team who helped create a magical, spontaneous, intimate, beautiful life event. Don’t think just because the wedding is small, that it’s no big deal! You need professionals with vision. Thank goodness Charles was there.

My granddaughter was planning a large conventional Connecticut wedding, but then Covid upended her plans. What the family did instead was small and Covid appropriate but " magical " because of Charles Case . It turns out he can take any kind of space , even if it is drab to begin with, and using flowers, lighting, and correctly spaced tables make it look wonderful in a way , that for us, seemed in tune with the brides personality. The venue was transformed into a warm, colorful early Fall celebration filled with just family and close friends. His vision can turn even spaces , that you might never of have considered and found around every one's home, into a beautiful event site. My granddaughter said that she could not imagine a more beautiful wedding than the one she had.

We came to Charles with a tall ask- transform a rundown drafty barn in the woods with minimal electricity and barely any running water into a beautifully cozy and magical COVID-friendly fall venue. OH YES, and it all happened within weeks! Charles helped with everything from arranging rentals and running around all night to ensure a smooth execution, to creating the most vibrant autumnal floralscapes imaginable. The space came to life and was the perfect back drop to our intimate wedding celebration. Thank you, Charles (and Romeo)!

We hired The Flower Basket for our wedding, which was a fairly intimate affair... but they captured the tone just right, with the most beautiful and delicate arrangements we could have dreamed up in our minds. Had an impromptu wedding rescheduling due to COVID, called and needed a wedding bouquet and a boutonniere in 5 days. Charles was so helpful, took care of everything, and had a stunning bouquet ready by wedding day. He even gave us two boutonnieres and a bag of rose petals to spread around. Super nice guy and beautiful work. Would recommend for any event.

I very much appreciate Charles' attention to detail at our daughter's wedding reception at our house in June. He addressed all my concerns, making sure the whole event went smoothly from start to finish. Many guests referred to our event as the most beautiful wedding reception they had ever attended. Charles and his team helped create a beautiful setting for our wedding! The centerpieces were breathtakingly beautiful and fit our venue perfectly. Charles not only created all of our stunning floral arrangements, but planned and coordinated our entire wedding. We started looking for beautiful wedding flower arrangements and ended up finding an indispensable planner and organizer of our wedding day. We had a complicated event with many moving pieces. Charles was thoughtful, organized, creative and focused. We were able to enjoy our wedding day while he handled the many details. This made the bride happy, which made the groom (me) very happy.
