ustrations: - We were originally told we could incorporate simple signature drinks using the open bar package, but later were informed there would be an added charge $10 per drink order, so we ended up not doing them. - After our final invoice was completed, a 15% additional fee was added to all beverage packages due to a new tariff charge. This was unexpected and not something we saw from other Houston venues. - On the wedding day (Sept 2025), staff interactions during setup felt unhelpful and at times dismissive. We also heard negative feedback from friends we tried to refer, which made us stop recommending the venue. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and our wedding turned out great overall, but the staff/management service and pricing practices made the process more stressful than expected. I would strongly recommend asking very detailed questions about fees and policies before booking.

In March, I scheduled a tour here and was left incredibly disappointed by the treatment of the management and staff here. The venue is gorgeous no doubt from what I have seen in pi...

ctures. However, I was 2 minutes late to confirm my appointment that was supposed to take place the next day via text. For reference, I needed to confirm by 4:00pm the same day they sent the message and I called them at 4:02pm. I asked if I could still confirm and they told me “No.” that they had a waitlist to adhere to. I tried explaining that I had just left work and called as soon as I saw the message and moved a lot of things around to make this appointment time (which was supposed to be the next day) and they did not show empathy whatsoever and proceeded to let me know that they had already given my appointment slot away at 4:01. I was left baffled. I couldn’t believe how management at this place could be so inconsiderate as the process of wedding planning is already so stressful for a bride. If you are looking for basic respect as a bride to be, please do not spend your money here. They do not care about you. They only care about money.

ortant and emotional the wedding planning process can be, and we’re very sorry to hear that you were disappointed during your attempt to tour our venue. We’d like to clarify a few details in hopes of providing context. Our guided tours are in high demand, and unfortunately, we experience many no-shows each week. In order to serve all of our guests fairly, we maintain a waiting list and require a confirmation by a certain time to hold appointments. This policy allows us to offer available spots to other excited couples when a slot is unconfirmed. We did reach out to you on the 12th and again on the morning of the 14th to confirm your tour. When we didn’t hear back by the designated confirmation time, we offered your tour slot to the next couple on the waiting list. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused you and truly regret that we weren’t able to host you for a tour. We care deeply about every couple who reaches out to us, and we certainly never want anyone to feel unimportant or dismissed. We’d love the opportunity to make it right—if you’d be open to rescheduling, we’ll do our best to find a time that works for you.

wedding that unfortunately went unused due to rain. These sparklers were donated by my father, and I was unaware of this at the time. Once I found out a few days later, I informed the venue that it was an accident and asked for them back. I initially planned to make the two-hour drive to pick them up, but after receiving no response, I postponed the trip. When I reached out again to arrange to pick them up, I was told they were no longer there—someone had used them. I requested reimbursement or replacement and was told no. That felt incredibly unfair and unprofessional. Additionally, we lost our deposit due to an old, fragile antique chair in the women’s restroom that broke. We were told our deposit would be used to replace it. None of our guests were rough with the furniture—one guest, who is not even heavy, sat on it and heard it crack. It seems their outdated and poorly maintained furniture isn’t even functional, and yet we are being held responsible. To top it off, on the actual day of our wedding, while my wedding party and I were getting ready, the venue was conducting tours with other prospective clients. This was incredibly intrusive and showed a lack of consideration for our special day. The management at Chateau Nouvelle came across as inconsiderate, unresponsive, and more focused on profit than on providing a respectful and professional experience. I cannot recommend this venue to anyone who expects basic courtesy and fair treatment.

event. They also have an entire floor of suites if you and your wedding party want to stay overnight, which is a fabulous convenience. The bridal suite, grooms suite, bathrooms, outdoor areas - all of it brings a custom elegance you can't find anywhere else in Houston. The venue team was great, and their owners were flexible and understanding to our requests which is important when selecting your venue. We had the venue's first two day event, which allowed us to negotiate costs by securing two calendar days during "high season." The team catered to our event with professionalism and we felt comfortable knowing our special weekend was going to be managed so well. All in all, we are still dreaming about our weekend at the Chateau and can't wait to attend one of their events they host for couples in the future!

above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for me and the 180+ guests. There wasn't a single hiccup in the day. The communication/planning with the venue coordinators was incredibly easy and seamless. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with endless photo opportunities. I cannot recommend this venue enough! My guests were commenting on how wonderful the evening was and the gorgeous venue for weeks after the wedding. You will be in great hands between all the staff and the wonderful owners of the venue who will ensure you have a perfect event.

Since the new ownership was established this past fall, the owners have painted the entire building, revamped the landscaping and have added some AMAZING new fixtures and upgrades to this venue (to say the least)!!! If I was getting married and did not run away to the beach, I would absolutely choose Chateau Nouvelle. I actually hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party here and this venue holds a special place in my heart. I would be doing a disservice by not sharing a positive, honest, heartfelt review. The new team is also AMAZING and the owners are hitting the ground running with this place. It's so exciting to see God blessing Chateau Nouvelle with such wonderful people, positive vibes and great energy. I believe that any client that books this venue will have nothing short of a SPECTACULAR wedding day.
