We had our wedding of about 53 people at Chetola! We stayed from a Wednesday-Monday. We started the process of planning this wedding in January 2024 and got married end of August 2024. There were a lot of hiccups along the way with the resort but Katie was amazing. She made sure everything was worked out with a solution. At the end of the day the resort was absolutely beautiful and so accommodating to the group of people we had staying there. The only negative I have was there was a lot of goose poop where the ceremony was held. But they did clean up what they could the day of.
Other than that everything was perfect and getting married here was a dream

Katie Mercer and her team did an outstanding job in making my son’s rehearsal dinner perfect. I worked with Katie via email and over zoom; she has a fantastic eye for detail and was able to help me with details concerning the room in which I was holding the event and also helped me figure out how to maneuver some things that could have been difficult since my son’s father and I are estranged. She took charge of all of the planning on her end and kept me updated concerning payment, time frames, food and beverages and many finely tuned details that I would not have thought about had I not had her expertise to rely on. I broke my hip the Monday before my son’s wedding; thankfully I was able to be at both his rehearsal dinner and his wedding but, Katie was the individual who did the “heavy lifting” for me in order to ensure that everything was beautiful and went smoothly. Her staff was gracious, efficient and extremely supportive and congenital on the evening of the dinner. My experience with Chetola and with Katie and her staff is something I will always be greatly thankful for. The level of professionalism from this group of young people was both impressive and inspiring. I would highly recommend this venue for wedding festivities. The resort is indeed beautiful but it was this very personalized attention that I received to make my son’s special event that was truly impressive.

Chetola was the BEST venue we ever could have picked for our wedding. Chassie and her team made everything so easy and they were so accommodating. I received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was how perfect it was for everyone to stay on the grounds. The catering was also EXCELLENT. I've received so many comments on how good the food was and how everyone loved it. The Chetola team made our dream come to life and was absolutely worth it.

If you want a turn key wedding that is as low stress as possible, book Chetola! Their staff is super responsive and helpful during the planning process. On the wedding day I never had to worry about a thing, the day ran smoothly and my husband and I were able to really enjoy ourselves and relax with our guests. The food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous and we had the time of our lives!

Chetola was such an amazing host for our wedding. Chassie and Jeffrey were top notch and helped my wife and I plan every detail to make our wedding possible. The tent on the peninsula is such a gorgeous outdoor setting and we were so thankful to have our friends and family able to gather safely there.

They were very professional and accommodating. I especially enjoyed working with Chassis. She was so thorough and responsive. Our guests just raved on the venue, food, staff and overall ambiance of the restaurant & resort. Such a beautiful place and so glad we choose them for our rehearsal. BTW, our newlyweds are professional wedding videographers, so they’re used to some beautiful venues and they were very impressed. It was a surprise and they were just thrilled with the entire occasion at Chetola.

Chetola was the perfect location for our wedding! Since we live out of state we chose Chetola for a variety of reasons, one being the beautiful location of Blowing Rock, which provided our guests with a lot of activities for a weekend getaway. The Chetola Resort is also an inclusive venue, so we didn't need to worry about finding separate vendors for food, alcohol, or rentals.
Jeffrey, Chassie, and the rest of the Chetola staff worked with us from the very beginning and gave us the peace of mind we needed for planning a wedding from far away. They clearly know what they are doing and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

When looking for a wedding venue Chetola immediately came up on our search. It was exactly what we were looking for. It has indoor and outdoor options and they respond in a timely manner. The wedding coordinator Jeffrey went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made sure we had the wedding of our dreams. The food and service was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend Chetola to anyone looking for a gorgeous wedding venue.

We had a rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law. We could not have been more pleased with the venue, food and service. Chassie and Jeff were responsive and easy to communicate with. When last minute glitches occurred, due to COVID and weather, accommodations were made with no problem. The wait staff during the dinner were attentive and helpful. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

We were married at Chetola in July 2019 in the lakeside tent. It was the most amazing night and I couldn't be happier with our venue choice. The Chetola team was so flexible and accomodating with all our wishes/requests. I was blown away by the service from the time of our initial meeting through the follow-up emails we continued to receive in the months following our wedding. Our engagement was 18 months long and throughout that time, there were a couple staffing turnovers for Chetola that not once affected us, nor our event, negatively. We're just so appreciative of Lori and the team at Chetola for working so hard for us to put on the wedding of our dreams! You guys are amazing!

My sister wanted a weekend wedding getaway in the mountains. Chetola was the perfect spot. We were able to stay in villas for the weekend and have a beautiful ceremony under the willow tree by the lake. The staff were very accommodating to our unique needs and goals for the weekend.

My husband and I got married on Sept. 6th, 2015 at chetola on the lawn under the willow tree with the gazebo as the bar and the reception under the tent. First the staff is great working with you thru the whole process! Second- its a gorgeous setting- you get to have the whole peninsula along with all the linens, silverware, etc they provide as part of rental cost. Third- I can't say enough about Kara- she is wonderful- she coordinates everything you want for wedding for chetola- she is fantastic. She also helped my sister through a shower and helped me with doing my rehearsal as a lunch! The food is top notch and the service and staff is great!!! Can't say enough about them!

We got married this September outside at Chetola, and everything was amazing!! Jessica was very helpful in setting up all the food and beverage, and helping us pick the rest of our vendors. She worked with us so we had the perfect menu, and we even got to have some good local beer. If you want to get married at a great place in the mountains this is definitely the place to do it!

My experience with Chetola was wonderful. It is a beautiful place and the vibe of elegance and relaxation is carried throughout. We ran into what could have been a major deal- rain on my outdoor wedding.... but the Staff worked with my other vendors to and guests to coordinate a perfect day. Thanks so much!

I selected Chetola as the venue for my outdoor ceremony and reception. The beauty of the grounds and facility is only enhanced by the exceptional service provided by the staff! The event planner and banquet team were exceptional, the food was delicious and I could not have been more happy with my experience! Selecting Chetola was definitely the right decision!

I LOVE Chetola and Blowing Rock is just beautiful. There is so much to do around Chetola for out of town visitors making a weekend out of the wedding celebration. They were so accommodating as we had a lot of weather obstacles the day of the wedding. Very helpful and put us at ease!

We had are wedding at Chetola in May 2012. Things couldnt have more perfect. We were married at the Gazebo by the lake, followed by a cocktail hour at the Arbor, also by the lake, and then the reception in the Evergreen room. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The entire staff were fantastic. They ALL went went above and beyond to make sure our day was truely special. We couldnt have asked a more perfect place or people for our wedding.

My husband and I got married at Chetola in Sept of 2011 and it was absolutely beautiful! We had an outdoor wedding under a willow tree followed by a cocktail hour at the boat house and a tented reception both by Chetola lake. All the guests commented on how beautiful everything was and they couldn't get over the wonderful service from the staff. Chetola was not only wonderful for the actual wedding, but it was a wonderful resort for an entire wedding weekend. Since it was a destination wedding, we were able to block rooms for all of our guests and were able to set up activites and lots of other things for everyone to enjoy while they were there - therefore our guests didn't only come for our wedding but were able to enjoy a "vacation" as well. We also had out rehersal dinner and rehersal dinner after-party within the lodge and restaurant - both were well attended and again everyone couldn't get over how wonderful the venue was. I would highly recommend checking out Chetola for a wedding as the facilities, food, and service are wonderful and you will be sure not to be disapointed!
