My husband and I just got married at the Chez Hotel, and we had a FANTASTIC experience. The hotel itself is built beautifully, with gorgeous rooms, a beautiful lobby, amazing reception spaces, and a rooftop bar to boot. All our guests were in awe with the rooms and the spaces. Michelle was out main contact for the wedding, and she did an amazing job. First and foremost, she made planning the wedding so easy, especially with my million and two questions. Everything I asked for and more happened the day of, but even more importantly, she was such a calming presence day of. She took care of everything and communicated with the vendors, allowing my husband and me to enjoy the day without having to do everything. I was already ready to have my family help with setting up the room, but Michelle was on it already at 10am (and our wedding reception wasn't until 7:00pm!). Anyone considering the Chez for their wedding should not give it a second thought. Honestly.

My husband and I got married on October 1st, 2022, at The Chez Hotel. Our experience with The Chez was wonderful! We worked with Michelle for the event coordination, and she was amazing! Michelle is professional, kind and patient. Whenever we had a question, she was quick to respond. During contract negotiations, Michelle was fair with the terms of the agreement, and we never felt bullied during our conversations with her. She calmed our nerves leading up to the big day, and made sure that all the events ran smoothly the day of. She is one of a kind, and we cannot say enough good things about her! The Chez Hotel itself is also a beautiful venue to host an event. Our guests were impressed with the unique design of the space. In addition, The Chez offers all-in-one packages that include food/drink/décor/etc. By using The Chez for multiple services, we were able to reduce the number of vendors we needed to search for/engage with; which ultimately reduced stress and work for us. We would absolutely recommend The Chez Hotel to anybody looking for a great venue to host an event!

From when we starting planning the wedding (September 2020) up through the day itself, Michelle's communication was on point. We had gone in several times and looked at other venues, but the pricing, quality of food and what was all included at this venue was the best choice for us. If i had to say anything disappointed us, we were told the hotel portion of the venue would be completed in time for our wedding and it wasn't. In our contract we were guaranteed a suite on the wedding night, so the Chez actually paid for a night of ours at another hotel to live up to their end of the contract. All in all, it was not a deal breaker as there are plenty of hotels in the area if it's still not completed when you read this. On the wedding day itself the staff was incredible, they had a lot of people in there working every table and the bartenders were fast and efficient. The food was exactly as what we had tasted and the service for all of our guest was top notch. I would highly recommend the sweets table and a meat hut if you can add it onto your day. They use a few bakeries and everyone was drawn to the meat hut especially for how unique it is. The white dance floor with our initials and the flower wall made things look very nice and detailed to our liking. To those claiming you can hear music from another wedding if you have only half of the room, we heard nothing at all from one that was going on at the same time. If you are reading reviews and trying to decide on a venue like we did, this venue will NOT disappoint. We had been to enough weddings in the suburban area and this place will give you the best bang for your buck. Michelle, Kristyna and Payton all did an amazing job with any questions or concerns we had. Let them take care of your big day, you won't be let down!

We had our wedding here on 05-15-22. We were supposed to be married 05-07-22 but we got Covid the week of our wedding. The venue couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding in helping us reschedule even though contractually they didn’t have to. From the start of our planning process to the the finish we felt very well taken care of and communication was great from the venue. Anything we needed they provided and assured us along the way our day would be special and we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. They delivered, our day was amazing. The staff and service was great, the food and drinks were amazing, and our setup was beautiful and the prices were some of the best we found. I highly recommend having your event here!

Wonderful people! We had our wedding here this month. Though we originally had some issues with one of the former staff members, Michelle ensured that we were provided lovely amenities as compensation to be certain that we would still have a wonderful time. The food was incredible and they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The space was absolutely beautiful and our cake was decorated so spectacularly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Michelle and the rest of the staff. Our wedding was absolutely incredibly, and we are very grateful we had it at The Chez.

We got married on November 20, 2020, and they were amazing. We did not have any guests at our wedding, just our officiant, photographer, and our Zoom person. They did so much to accommodate for us, and they even packed up our guests dinners so we can distribute it to them later that night. We had to make a lot of changes due to COVID, but they were able to make adjustments for us and make our wedding night beautiful. The planning process was very painless with them, the main thing is that they did not answer emails promptly sometimes. Otherwise, the staff was awesome. Anna is amazing, and if you can work with her then your wedding is set. Thank you so much European Crystal!

My husband James and I had our wedding reception at European Crystal and it was phenomenal!! Absolutely fantastic, amazing, over-the- top, and beautiful service and management! The owner Krystyna went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect for us and our guests! The food was delicious, high quality, and fresh. The room was beautifully decorated, and the entrance/lobby was just so beautiful with the white and black marble flooring and gorgeous grand staircase and gold accents! The whole banquet hall was very clean and had very modern, warm, and elegant setting and architecture! It was picture perfect! Thank you Krystyna, Anna, and Tiffany for making our day perfect! Very highly recommended for any events!!

I am so happy that we chose to have our reception at European Crystal. The price was perfect and the venue was AMAZING! We had 230 people and there was enough space for everyone to get around. The dance floor was never empty and the food and cake (which is included in the price) was top notch! We cannot wait to celebrate our anniversary here for many years to come.

We are reaching out to venders to get more information. James Cazares at this venue decided to insult and curse at me via email. We are not using this facility. I am sure it is pretty, but we couldn't even set up a tour, because the Manager was too busy being rude. I do not think Brides deserve to be treated this way. If you work with them, beware of which wedding associate you work with. Try to avoid this man to have a successful experience.

Just woke up from having my wedding take place at European Crystal and I am so grateful to the amazing staff who made it all possible. They helped set everything up and were so kind to everyone. Michelle was our coordinator and she was great on our wedding day. She worked well with our DJ and photographer and videographer. She kept checking up on my husband and I the whole night so that was nice of her. My family and friends complimented the details of the venue like the high ceilings and the spacious ballroom. We also received compliments about their food which was delicious especially their filet mignon. Michelle and the team were helpful with making sure everything went according to plan and that everyone was well served. I highly recommend them for weddings!

Everything about the European Crystal was so perfect for our Wedding day!! The pricing was incredibly competitive and the location was breathtaking. They had everything set up exactly how I wanted it to be. The staff was very friendly and attentive .The lighting and scenery was perfect and made for some gorgeous pictures.I loved that you could adjust the various lights to get the perfect lighting. If I had to do over again I’d still choose European Crystal in a heartbeat! Our wedding day was flawless and everything we imagined it would be!

Our wedding was a few months ago but I'm just now getting time to review all our vendors. European Crystal Banquets was the perfect place for me and my Husband to have our reception. Not only does the place look beautiful on the inside, but the staff and coordinators are amazing. Anna helped me go through all the little details of planning a 300 people wedding and was such a great help on my wedding day. The whole planning was stress free and on the day of the wedding they were always checking on me and my husband making sure we had everything we needed. They really made me feel special and made my day unforgettable. The workers that day were so kind to use and to our guest as well. The venue is beautiful and clean as well. Our guests still talk about the food especially the main course we had a filet & shrimp combination as well as the sushi river for our late night snack. I would definitely recommend this place for any wedding. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for all of your help with fine tuning all of the little details; it was such a pleasure working with you all. European Crystal Banquet was the perfect place to have our wedding. After looking and going to other halls this one beyond stood out. From the first meeting we had with Anna, we knew we wanted this to be the hall. Working with Anna and her team at European has been nothing but the best thing we could have asked for, she made everything so easy and stress free. She is amazing and knows what she is doing and will work her hardest to make your vision come true. She worked with us, listed to us and did everything she could to make everything we wanted happen and even had her own great ideas to help us out. The food and cake were beyond tasty everything was so amazing, all the guests loved our food including us. From the moment I walked into the hall on my wedding day I filled with tears from happiness when I saw the amazing job Anna and her team did to our hall, from the floor sticker, the guest tables and the sweetheart table everything was just as I pictured it to be. I would beyond recommend European to anyone who is planning a wedding and to work with Anna she is beyond amazing.

We had our wedding reception at ECB in May 2018 and everything was amazing! Anna was great to work with and was very patient with us given all the questions and requests we had. She had excellent recommendations on what to choose from their menu options and extras - the crepe bar was a hit! The venue was beautiful and the food delicious. I had my wedding reception at European Crystal Banquets on September 1st 2018. Me and my husband met with Anna about a year before and we booked this banquet hall for many reasons - Space - we had around 350 guests which fit comfortably in their Grand Ballroom; I fell in love with the space because of how classy and elegant it looks with the high ceilings and grand chandeliers - Location - we had a lot of out-of-town guests which make this very convenient for our guests with tons of hotels surrounding it - Food and alcohol - we went with the Duet of Filet Mignon and Chicken Christipher; after our wedding, we have received countless compliments from the guests on how good the food was and how we were able to find this venue. I had my wedding ceremony and reception here. And I have to say that it was the best decision my husband and I made. I originally had wanted to have my wedding in downtown Chicago for a special Chicago themed wedding... but, while looking at the Knot App, I noticed this venue was coming up a lot. So it was the first place we saw. We were blown away and so impressed with how professional and outstanding Anna Nava was. She was so welcoming and she was so passionate about what she does. The day of the wedding I was so happy on how she did everything... if I continue on it’ll be a book. Needless to say, I loved everything about having my wedding here. It was more than perfect.

I had my wedding reception at European Crystal Banquets on August 19th 2017. Me and my husband met with Anna about a year before our big day. We booked this banquet hall for many reasons: - Location- convenient, close to the highway with a ton of hotels surrounding it. Big parking lot. - Space - Our reception was in the grand ballroom. I fell in love with the space because of how classy it was. I was able to envision my decor and set up right away because of the neutral tones. Ceilings are very high and grand. - Food & Alcohol - The quality of food and alcohol was extremely important to me and my family. After our tasting Anna made sure that we were completely satisfied with the menu and was patiently helping me whenever I wanted to change something. She gave me a ton of great advice and suggestions. Alcohol was top shelf and that was a huge plus! - Service - Not only Anna but the whole staff at European Crystal Banquets was nothing but helpful and friendly. The day of our wedding, Anna was there the entire time making sure that everything was perfect. I saw her running around and fixing minor details that I'm sure only me and her would notice. Dinner was served hot and on time. Me and my husband, as well as our Guests, had a wonderful time. I had my wedding reception on July 29th in the Grand Ballroom with 300 people. We worked directly with Karen and she was nothing short of amazing! The whole night was perfect and Karen made sure everything went smoothly. She was the absolute best when it came to details, planning, and checking in with us throughout the nigh to update us and make sure everything was going as planned. We had Chicken Christopher with the Filet and everyone couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. The entire place is elegant, updated and the grand ballroom is beautiful. From the moment we walked in, we had a wonderful experience working with Karen. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding fit our budget and worked very hard on every detail. Our wedding was in the Grand ballroom and everything came together beautifully. Our main course was chicken & steak. We got many compliments on how good the food was. The food came out hot/warm which was great considering there were 250+ guests. Karen made sure everything went smoothly all night & kept checking in on us. I can't say anything bad about this venue. I had my wedding and reception at European Crystal Banquets on July 2, 2016. Anna was our coordinator for the event and she was very helpful and nice. I totally recommend her! But the owner/manager is very rude. She planned a wedding the same night as our wedding last minute and called to let us know that we might want to make our time earlier. Also, at our rehearsal she kept rushing us. And on the date of the wedding, she told all our guest that they could just leave the ceremony space for cocktail hour when there was supposed to be an order in dismissal. My experience was amazing but for our wedding planners, she was a major headache. This place is beautiful, has great food, great price, and nice wedding coordinators like Anna Nava, but the owner only cares about money and is really rude. So just be very vocal about your coordinator being at everything you have there because you don't want the owner to show up!!! She is a jerk!

We had our wedding reception at European Crystal in the fall. Overall, we were very happy with our experience. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous with the painted sky on the ceiling and chandeliers. The food was definitely better than most wedding food and we loved that the per person price included an open bar, cake, basic linens and more - made our lives easier! At times getting a response to an e-mail would take several days but overall the reception went off without a hitch and we're thankful for all ECB did to make our night memorable.

Spectacular Venue! We had our reception on 9/10/16. Michelle and her team went above and beyond to create a magical wedding reception. We live in Hawaii and we have family in Chicago therefore we decided to have our wedding reception in European Crystal. Planning a wedding is quite challenging especially when you cannot physically be there to discuss all the details. Michelle and Anna made it quite easy by contacting us and helping us make decisions. We trusted their professional opinion and the reception turned out just as we imagined. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and was served quickly even though we had some last minute special requests. The sweet table was incredible with a variety of pastries, fruit and chocolate. We highly recommend this venue!! We thank all of you at EC for your hard work and making this a very memorable and stress-free evening.

We booked a wedding with this reception hall last year. At time of booking were told we could have room "A"; when our count dropped they moved us into room "B" without notice. (Read other reviews on Knot, Facebook or Google and you see that this has happened to brides/grooms before.) Very unprofessional...but at this point they have you though...you can argue with them...but for them it is all about who has more butts in seats versus honoring their commitment. I wish I had read all the reviews before we booked.

After visiting SIXTEEN different venues we settled on European Crystal and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Karen was simply amazing to work with and really had a lot of incite on having a wedding and offered advice on things we never would have thought about. For what you get, the price is unbeatable! Karen helped us establish our menu, gave suggestions on pairings of sides with entrees (the roasted potatoes she suggested were definitely a hit with our guests!), and gave some great ideas on decor. European Crystal we very flexible with our one site wedding rehearsal and allowed us more than enough time during the week leading up to the event to get into the space and do a ton of set up. They even let us leave our flower arrangement in their cooler so that looked impeccable on the day of the event. Karen was also very flexible with allowing us to get a cake from an outside vendor and comping us for the uplights we wanted instead. The day of, the meal was excellent several of our guest raved about the food. The appetizers were also excellent. We received a lot of feedback from guests wanted the beef skewers as a meal! Our photographer couldn't believe the food was not catered which is impressive for someone who attends TONS of weddings. The dinner service went off without a hitch! During the reception was had some uninvited guests occasionally enter our space and Karen was quick to usher them out which was a really nice touch. She was also accessible throughout the night for any questions that we had. European Crystal definitely earned the gratuity we paid and then some! I would highly recommend Karen and European Crystal to anyone that is looking for an elegant venue with staff that really care about making your wedding day special.

Truly great experience..! I had my wedding reception here a couple weeks ago and everything went perfect. They are very detailed and particular in regards to not only food and service but to the whole magical atmosphere that you should have at your wedding. The food was delicious, especially their Filet Mignion was to die for.. Go and see how elegant their rooms are. We had our reception in the Grand Ballroom, beautiful..Over all I strongly recommend that venue.

Very disappointing banquet center. The seats on all the "upgraded chairs" were dirty with spots from food being dropped on them...disgusting. Dance floor was put together badly with gaps everywhere so ladies high heels could slide into the gaps causing someone to trip or fall. Food was terrible...cold and tasteless. Not enough staff to guest ratio. Staff was rude. Also, if you do decide to book here...make 100% sure which room they book you in...they changed my sisters wedding into the small room without notice. Ultimately, it is your choice to book here, but as a professional meeting planner for years...I would not.

We are sorry to hear that you as a guest at the wedding were not happy with our services...

, but some of the things you are referring to are not quite correct. We deeply apologize if any of the chairs had stains on them, but they do come from the rental company clean for each event, and we are aware that there was one chair dirty that I believe your mother pointed out to us and we offered to change it right way, to which your mom responded no that's fine, I already changed it. In regards to the dance floor it is a portable dance floor that most banquet use and there are tiny gaps on the connections but we have been using that dance floor for over 15 years and we never had any complains; did anyone fell? We were not notified about any accidents. As far as the servers your sister was informed that because they changed the floor plan without approval from us and had 19 tables for 140 guests it would be more difficult for us to serve the guest with choice menu but from what I could tell we still provided them with excellent service by adding additional servers. As to changing the room that is completely untrue, we could never do that, the contract stated South Ballroom and that was the room the reception was in, the room is for 220 people how could you say that we changed them to a smaller room? Once again I apologize if you feel that we did something wrong but we pride ourselves in best service & by far the best quality food. Also below is a review that we received from the father of the bride: I am the father of the bride and I signed the check, European Crystal was outstanding in every aspect, the food was excellent, service was prompt and professional, the facility was superb and the all inclusive package was in my mind high value.

Honestly, the only reason I am giving this a single star is because I have to. The food was decent. However, I have never had such poor service in my life. First of all, the wedding ceremony was only scheduled to last about 10 minutes. As soon as the bride and groom walked out the door the staff immediately came in and started breaking down the tables and rushing everyone out. My 90 year old grandfather with parkinsons uses a walker and they were tripping him by pulling tables out in front of him. Secondly, they do not follow their contracts so be careful here future brides. The wedding was scheduled for 7pm to midnight. However, the venue decided that it wanted to start early at 6 pm. At the time everyone was so rushed and no one thought anything of it. However, in the most unprofessional manner I have ever witnessed, at 11pm the lights in the room suddenly came on and the bar was shuttered. This led to mass confusion amongst the guests and the bride and groom. Now, in my youth I have worked in the service industry, this is NOT the way to handle situations. The bride and groom ended up losing money on both the dj and photobooth, good job european crystal! I will not be using you for my wedding and neither will anyone I know.

We had our wedding the first weekend in December 2015 at European Crystal Banquets. Everything turned out lovely. All the guests loved the food, most said we had too much food! We are both extremely happy we had our wedding here.

Love this place!! We had our wedding here 3 years ago and I still remember every single part of it! European Crystal has the best team to work with. They do not let any small detail go. Michelle was my coordinator and she was such a doll to work with. Not one bad thing to say about this place! Beautiful venue, great food and great service!

I had my wedding here in August and we had such a great experience with this venue and staff. We felt like family at the end of the day. All the planning, time and money we spent was absolutely worth it. We had such a great time on our day and we received so many compliments from the food a décor. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have their special day here!

I had my wedding at European Crystal Banquets in September and it was absolutely amazing! My coordinator was with me from start to finish just as she promised. Everything down to the last detail was handled perfectly. The food was great and the staff very professional.

We had a great time working with Anna she was amazing!! From the first meeting to the conclusion of our wedding everything was absolutely perfect. The food was fantastic,portion sizes were large, the food was cooked perfectly (appetizers, soup, and salad,steak, chicken, Veggie pasta, wedding cake). Bar service went smoothly and the service was impeccable. Our guests raved about everything from food to the venue to the service. We also had our ceremony here and our reception and everything was set up on time and came out perfect. The venue in general is beautiful as is. There was easy parking and the venue is close to many hotels which made it convenient for the bridal party and out of town guests. Bathrooms and Bridal Room were very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend European Crystal to any Bride & Groom!
