We had our ceremony and reception at the Foundation Room and it was everything we dreamed it would be! The House of Blues staff was so so accommodating. Meaghan was an absolute dream to work with for the year leading up to it and she did not let us down at all. She went above and beyond to take care of every detail all day long. I cannot stress enough how incredible of an experience we had working with her. She truly brought our vision to life and helped us throw the best New Year’s Eve party. The staff was on top of table turnovers, quick clean ups, made sure we had everything we needed and were so helpful with set up and clean up. The food was delicious and our specialty cocktails were even better! The unique vibe of the venue made it feel like an exclusive and intimate party where our guests were free to lounge and dance or hide away in one of the many rooms. It was an absolutely incredible night and we can’t thank this team enough!
We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Foundation Room in November 2019. The day itself went so smoothly, and we are so grateful to the staff at the Foundation Room. Our coordinators ensured that the entire "run of show" remained on schedule. We also really enjoyed working with our coordinators, Meghan and Kelley, in the almost two years leading up to our wedding day. The food and drinks served on the day were delicious (our guests were raving!), and the space itself was ideal for hosting approximately 90 friends & family. We are knocking one star off from our review because the House of Blues threw us a major curve ball less than 20 days out from the wedding. They informed us that a matinee show had just been booked in the concert hall on the day of our wedding, which required us to reschedule our vendor load-in and pre-ceremony photos. Obviously, this was the last thing we wanted to be told less than 20 days from our wedding date. We stuck to our guns and told the venue that this was THEIR problem to fix -- not ours -- and after being called out, they did their best to accommodate. That headache could have been completely avoided with better communication between the Foundation Room staff and the concert hall staff. We were also incredibly lucky that most of our vendors had the flexibility to accommodate their matinee show.
We were married at a nearby church and had our reception at the Foundation Room. Everything was so easy. Meagan was fantastic as were the rest of the staff! They helped us from the planning of our menu, to the arrangement and order of events, to the very end of the reception. They even went above and beyond by helping some of our guests out with tickets for a show in the main hall. Overall, it's a very unique and fun spot for a wedding. Our guests were thrilled. We had the balcony open and so we had a backdrop of sounds from Fenway Park. Great night! I would highly recommend Meagan Larkin and the crew at HOB to handle whatever you need.
We are so happy we chose the House of Blues for our wedding. It was a great experience. The whole day went so smoothly and the food was good. The guests all raved about the uniqueness of the venue. Rosie was a great event planner. I recommend this place to anyone who wants something a little different for their big day.
My husband and I just had our wedding here in August. We are so happy with our choice. The space is perfect for a fabulous party and dancing! Erin, the events manager, is a gem and was wonderful to work with from the start. She and her lovely staff ran the show seamlessly on the wedding day. Our friends and family are still raving about how beautiful and different the venue was. We highly recommend!!
