What a night to remember! Not only is the City Club an absolutely gorgeous venue, but it has the best view of Raleigh from the 28th floor where our wedding ceremony and reception was held. We chose the city club because it was the only venue we found that really was the "total package." The food choices they offer are incredible, the staff was so responsive and friendly (thank you Terri and Tyshia!) and it was a completely indoors, yet surrounded with huge windows and open, which is great if you want to avoid the whole weather factor on your wedding day but still want a stunning view. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but whoever your event coordinator is will be so helpful when it comes to remembering little details you may forget about and will do a fantastic job of keeping everything organized. Thank you, City Club Raleigh! We are so thankful we found your venue!
Elissa and the entire City Club staff was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process and delivered exceptional service and flow on our wedding day, exceeding our expectations. Our wedding day went so smoothly and I know it was due to the exceptional service and expertise of the coordinators and staff running the club. Special thank you to Elissa Moss for all your help in the process....my wedding planning process would not have been as stress free without you!
Awful experience! I spent two years planning and paying for my wedding. The city club ruined the most important day of my life. Three weeks before my wedding my wedding event coordinator retired and a new event coordinator took over, Elissa Moss. She was nowhere to be found during the wedding and several times I had to ask other staff to hunt her down for me. I had put together a very important slideshow that city club was supposed to use their projector and sound for, as not to interrupt the music the DJ was playing. Two waiters fumbled to set up the equipment and had no idea how to connect my slideshow. With my previous event coordinator we had even done a test run to ensure it would work but since her retirement three weeks before my wedding, no one else at the venue had any idea how their of equipment worked. After I had to get up hunt down my event coordinator once again, we ended up not playing my slideshow at all. I cried three times during my wedding and have cried each day after. My slideshow meant so much and city club ruined the most important day of my life. City club is a very expensive venue and not at all worth it! My event coordinator went home for the evening soon after the slideshow fiasco. So thankfully everything else went well. Do not get married at the City Club!!!
*also they were supposed to wrap my dinner for me since I was crying during dinner service and they never did. Guests also reported the steak and salmon were both overcooked and very dry
We had great success with all of our wedding vendors; however the key to the success of our wedding was Rebecca Naderman at City Club Raleigh. We absolutely loved her, she was so fun to work with and there is no way we could have pulled this off without Rebecca!!! She was absolutely amazing from the very first day we met her to look at the venue. She was extremely, extremely responsive with all communication over the course of the year and if she didn’t have an immediate answer she would always follow-up with me ASAP. Rebecca really knows how to plan an event and pays attention to every detail. She always welcomed us into the club anytime to look around or give our family and friends a tour of the venue. I opted not to have a wedding planner or a day of coordinator, and Rebecca filled the coordinator role to the tee, she is clearly very experienced in this industry! The day before the wedding, when my sister and I dropped of all of the wedding decorations, we explained to her one time how to set everything up and it was all set perfectly and just how we envisioned it to look. It was more than I could have imagined out of a wedding venue. If you are getting married in Raleigh, City Club Raleigh has the most caring and passionate staff. Not to mention it has the best view of Raleigh!! Thanks Rebecca and City Club Raleigh for making 12.13.14 a day we will relive over and over again.
City Club Raleigh was the perfect fit for my reception venue. The size was cozy, but comfortable for my ~150 guests and the dining room and loft area provided a quiet talking area and an area for dinner and dancing. The views from both areas are breathtaking. Rebecca, our event coordinator was fantastic. She answered emails quickly 6 months out as well as 4 days from the wedding. She was flexible, responsive to our priorities, but also willing to give feedback based on her experience. We diy'd most of the decorations and left Rebecca and the staff with pictures. They set up a beautiful room exactly as I pictured it.
