We hired DJ. Mike Cooley for our wedding reception 06/29/19 and I was so nervous since I’m extremely picky. I wasn’t sure if he will be able to meet the crowd needs and man did he exceed my expectation.He did an amazing job! He was professional, Honest,Responsive, organized and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. Music was the highlight of the wedding, he made the night so much fun. DJ Mike Cooley came prepared and ready to do what he does best. No guest had to put a request for a song he just knew what to play. DJ. Mike Cooley definitely Knows how to read the crowd very well and keep a party lively. I can’t begin to express how much fun my guests and I had. He catered to our needs. Me and my Husband want to say a big thanks to you for making our special day memorable with great fun and amazing music. We received many compliments on his services until this day. We highly recommend this DJ for your next event and definitely will use his service again. Our DJ became FAMILY.

Due to Covid-19, our wedding was postponed from June to August. I reached out to this company well in advance of this decision to give them the heads up around April, that there would be a possibility of postponing our wedding date. I received a response within 2 days: "Just keep us posted and if need be, we will be more than happy to help you with any changes". I was relieved to receive this response from them. 2 weeks later we decided to officially postpone our wedding. We notified all of our vendors and everyone responded EXCEPT Mike. I began to worry as I had emailed him about 10 times before I received a response of Mike wanting to meet in person. I was confused as to why there was a need to meet in person when my contract was paid in full since January and it was merely a yes or no whether or not our new wedding date would be available to transfer our already reserved acrylic sweetheart table. Once I informed him that a phone call would be best because I lived out of town, he ghosted me and never returned any of my emails, or phone calls. I've had my fiance, wedding planner, and even my mother try to call from different numbers to see if anyone would answer. Absolutely nothing. It has been almost three months and I have still heard nothing. If you are in this same situation, I urge you to submit both a fraud/scam alert and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. File a charge dispute with your bank and/or credit cards. According to Help Me Howard, it is illegal for a business to keep your money if they are not offering to be rescheduled due to a pandemic. Howard Finkelstein: “If the emergency order blocks the person or company from doing their job, you get your money back.

For any type of Celebration DO NOT go with this company. They owe so much money to their former clients. We had an event lined up for April 11, due to the Covid-19, the venue concelled on us and we asked for our refund back on rentals. After a 2 month calling no response. Now I will be going to Channel 7 to make known about this company.

Save yourself the headache. He is booked for a wedding that has been postponed due COVID-19. Wedding planner has been trying to reach him trough several platforms for almost 2 months with no response. Very unprofessional!! Never again!!

If you want a classy event stay FAR away from this DJ! I am the Father of the Bride and also the Pastor who Officiated her wedding ceremony. The dj played very distasteful songs at my daughters wedding. Because of this i witnessed several guests leaving, well before the conclusion of the reception. As the officiant, i knew that microphones were supposed to be provided by the DJ , yet after walking my daughter down the aisle, there were no microphones in sight! There were several times throughout the event when I along with several other guests asked the dj to turn the music down and he simply ignored our requests. In my opinion, this DJ compromised the integrity of my daughters wedding. I would not recommend hiring this dj for ANY event.

I had the honor of having Mike Cooley DJ and coordinate my wedding. The process started 8 months prior and Mike Cooley was the most professional and thoughtful event planner I could have ever asked for. Not only did he help me choose the most unique wedding invites I had ever seen, but he was also there during every cake tasting, reception hall visit, every food tasting and even answered my calls at late hours of night since one of my vendors were from Australia and the time change required us to communicate with them at that hour. My Wedding had to start later than scheduled due to a groomsman who didn’t show up. Mike Cooley to the rescue again, he had one of his guys working with him suit up (Thank God he wore the same size) and walked My bridesmaid down the aisle. All this happened as I waited in the limo trying to get my nerves in check as I was so nervous. Unbeknownst to me until the time for my wedding pictures I noticed a man that I did not recognize. When I asked who he was my bridesmaid told me he was a stand in for my missing groomsman. It was then I realized that Mike Cooley had saved the day and buffered it so that I did not panic had I known. I brought up that example to share that this guy really does go above and beyond for his clients and he cares. The decor at the church and the reception made My mouth drop. He had taken all of my requests (and they were many) into account and put his own spin on it. He is very detailed and has an eye for event decor, very creative. When it came down to the reception and the music, though I’m sure he was very busy with the setup he still had high energy and played music just as I requested it. He had all my guests on their feet, and dancing while waving napkins. I had a blast and was sweating from all the dancing. I shared with him my concerns about my budget and after experiencing the event with everything that he put into it, I’m sure I owe him money and then some! There is no doubt in my mind, had it not been for Mike Cooley’s involvement in my wedding event and plans it would have not been a success. Mike Cooley was always there when I called him and was very dependable. Mike Cooley will be the event planner and Dj I use for any party or wedding, I trust him that much.

This DJ literally had EVERYONE on their feet, the only thing my husband and I were saying after our wedding day is that we wish we could go back to that day, because he truly made our reception the party that we wanted it to be. My husband was picked up in the air and had so much fun dancing :) Everyone in my family and friends kept talking about our wedding. We truly had a blast. They loved him so much that he is doing other events/weddings for some of my friends. Best Dj we could've had for our wedding :) Thank you so much CJ!

Honestly if i could give negative stars i would! We hired DJ Mike Cooley because he was referred to us by another bride and unfortunately for us we did not check his reviews. He was absolutely terrible! We hired him because we needed a dj that was fluent in Nigerian music, which he claimed that he was. He actually told us that he would take us back to Nigeria, when in reality we never left the airport! He barely played any Nigerian songs at the wedding and the little he did play i had to go up and request them! Let’s start from the beginning. From the ceremony there were issues. He was supposed to provide microphones for the ceremony, he did not. He played the wrong song for my bridal party entrance even though the correct song was listed on his questionnaire that he had us complete prior to the wedding. On the questionnaire i also gave him a list of songs to be played for cocktail hour that matched the Nigerian theme of our wedding. He played none of those and instead played generic wedding songs you hear at every other wedding. He also left his DJ booth during cocktail hour so that he could go and change, which would have been ok had he not left the music so loud that no one could even hear themselves think! My brother had to go behind his booth and turn the music down. For our bridal party entrance into the reception, he pronounced almost every person’s name incorrectly including me and my husband! We provided the dj with all of the names of our bridal party well in advance and he NEVER ONCE said he had issues with the pronunciation of the names. If he had, we would have had no issue providing him with phonetics so that they could have been announced properly! From there the issues continued. The dj was provided with a timeline for our reception from the day of event coordinator in advance. The timeline was approved by myself and my husband. The dj BLATANTLY refused to follow the timeline creating unnecessary chaos. We were supposed to play the wedding shoe game later on in the reception. He took it upon himself to have us play the game after the first dance when dinner was supposed to be served. This led to confusion with the caterer and a lot of my guests food being cold because of the delay in service caused by the dj! During the reception we had a video of our elopement that was supposed to be played prior to the party starting. The dj once again not following the timeline, started the party playing music we instructed him specifically not to play like Back that A** up and City Girls songs. The vulgar music caused a lot of my guests to leave, and they missed the elopement video. We also had a second entrance at my wedding where we re-entered the reception in traditional attire. We had a song for that 2nd entrance which was given to him via his questionnaire. He played the wrong song for that as well. My husband had to find the song on YouTube and one of my family members had to give him the correct song. Lastly, he added a last dance which neither me nor my husband asked for and he used a song which i would have never picked. Neither my photographer or videographer were aware of this plan and almost missed being able to capture this moment since they were setting up for the next thing on the timeline. We let the Dj know our concerns after the wedding and he completely refuses to acknowledge that he did anything wrong! Honestly the worst vendor that we hired! If you want a dj that respects your wishes DO NOT Hire this dj!

Wow is how we will begin this review. Amazing is how we will end it. DJ Cooley is by far the most engaging DJ, entertainer and host wrapped into one package. Initially, when my co-worker suggested him; I continued my search and settled on a different idea for entertainment. However, asked my co-worker checked in to ask if I'd booked DJCooley and K said, no. She immediately replied, "then you do not want a great reception". With that response, my fiancee and I contacted him immediately. Fortunately he was available for our June 1 2019 wedding. We booked him. Completed a very detailed;questionnaire; Met with him and the rest is history! We booked a full service package which included DJCooley representing at the church, the cocktail hour and during the entire reception. Note: Please be sure to have him conduct the Bride and Groom Shoe Game and the garter removal...He is the BEST at engaging the entire room. Thanks DJCooley. Your final tribute to me and my hubby at the very end of the night is forver etched in our minds.

My mom's 60th birthday party turned out amazing! CJ, Marie, and the rest of the staff were great and a pleasure to work with. Everything I envisioned for the party, CJ brought to life plus more. My friends and family were impressed with decorations, especially how CJ transformed the stage for the King and Queen seating. I would definitely work again in the future with CJ!

If I could use Mike every single time I would! By far one of the best vendors I have worked with. He and his team are extremely professional. We had a blast at our wedding, Mike was very talented and professional. My wife and I are Chinese descendants, so are a lot of our guests, Mike went an extra mile to help us picked a lot of Chinese songs at the wedding and they were fantastic.

Everyone had such an amazing time at my wedding. I heard over and over, "where did you get this DJ?!?!" My family cannot stop talking about him. He had the party going from beginning to end. Even when he didn't have the details from my wedding planner about the flash mob we wanted to do, I filled him in and he executed it flawlessly as if he had been planning the song mash ups for a month. I can't thank him enough. I would recommend him over and over to anyone who wants a high energy event where your guests basically live on the dance floor.

This was our second annual We Invest in Our Marriage Valentine’s Day Gala. DJ Mike Cooley was an AMAZING host & DJ. He made the party even more fun than anticipated.

My wedding was nothing short of amazing and breathtaking! From the draping, stage design, lighting, and decor, everything was magical. Everyone said how elegant and regal our wedding was that night! Working with Mike was a pleasure simply because of his professionalism and punctuality. His team and himself set up at the venue 2 hours earlier than they were supposed to. He met with my family and I for the walk through of the venue and offered valuable input. Not only did he understand the complexities of wedding planning, he also took time to listen whenever I was stressed (as most brides are). Mike understood the importance of our wedding day, while also empathizing with the unforeseen financial circumstances in our lives. I used CJ's party rental for my nephew's wedding and his evel of professionalism exceeded my expectations. My DJ set the dance floor on fire ! He did not come to play around ! First of all , from the beginning of the wedding planning , he was extremely professional, Knowledgeable and excited . But fast forwarding to the wedding night : He arrived early like he promised he would . HE EVEN DRESSED UP to match our wedding colors ! He was confident and was on a mission to make the night the BEST NIGHT EVER ! Which he did ! He played hits after hits ! I had people running to the dance floor all night ! I couldn’t believe it . It felt like a concert ! I loved every part of that ! My husband was even picked up and carried away by a groups of people . I laughed so much and the Dj was so funny on the mic. He took pictures and even captured a beautiful moment between my sister in law and I . We appreciated that so much . He felt like family , it’s like he knew us for years . Music can break or make your an event. With CJ Party rental and event planning inc you will not be disappointed. My husband and I used the Dj and hosting services for our wedding last year and again for our baby shower this year and it was absolutely satisfying. I contracted CJ Party Rentals for my Bridal shower, Wedding, Baby Showers Birthday Parties and even family dinners. Cooley was amazing!! A few weeks before my shower, I went to Cooleys showroom and he had such great ideas. I was really struggling with some things and Cooley made it so easy. he set up a demo table for me and he laid out the tablecloth, napkins and chiavari chairs. I brought my centerpieces to the showroom so I could visualize the tables for my bridal shower better. I rented my chiavari chairs, satin napkins and seat cushions from her. he was available to talk when I had questions and I never felt rushed when speaking with him. His staff arrived on time on the date of my bridal shower and they were very friendly. I plan to use him for future events and rent my charger plates from him. I am a very happy customer.

My husband and I can’t express how satisfied we are with his work ethic. He took his time to go over each music selection we wanted and made recommendations. I don't normally write reviews but with my experience with Mike Cooley it's important to make others aware before booking him. I read several bad reviews about his company on "The Knot" and "Wedding Wire" so before booking him we had a long phone discussion and I did make him aware of the bad reviews I read. He explained what happened with those customers and assured me that I would not have any issues with him when it comes to his professionalism and communication. After speaking with him I felt confident about giving him and shot even after reading the reviews (That's where I messed up). I booked him 1 year and a few weeks before my wedding (My wedding is February 24, 2018. I paid my deposit and booked Mike Cooley January 30, 2017). Fast forward to August, after trying to contact him soooooooooo many times, not fulfilling his promises, and standing me up for hours before returning my phone call before our meeting August 5th. I requested a refund due to his lack of professionalism and lack of communication. After leaving a VM requesting a refund he finally calls back. Of course, he tried to dispute the "No refund" policy on deposits but he still agreed to give me my refund and apologized because he admits to not being professional and not communicating. He sent me a email January 15 stating that he is issuing me a refund and it can take up to "9-14 business days" and here we are 9/12/17 still no refund. I just want to make others aware before booking him.

Where do I start... First, We can't thank DJ Mike Cooley enough for planning and hosting our special day. From day one, he has been nothing but nice to us. He's very courteous, patient, and assertive. Pretty much an all around professional. He is On-point with his suggestion and creative ideas- that help us save on cost. Mr. Cooley was always available when we needed him, and patient. I must of change my mind about my wedding theme, and layout like three times ( don't quote me)..loI. Yet, he was willing to make my ideas work in anyway he could. Second, we're more than satisfied of the outcome. Our guests had a blast they can't stop talking about the day. Omg... my friends and family constantly calls to compliment us on how our wedding ceremony and reception hall was immaculately decorated. Everyone was on the dance floor including the DJ himself; dancing and singing along..I mean so much FUN!!!. I must say the previous review had me a little hesitant about booking with him. until I spoke with another bride who shared some videos and pictures of her event that DJ Mike had done, and I was sold from there. I'm so happy that I went with my instincts. Overall, I appreciate his work ethics and I'm truly grateful for all that he has done for us. Ladies, trust me DJ Mike Cooley is worth every cent. We confirm that date with Dj Mike Cooley and asked did he have that date available he said yes no problem it's done you have the date. Fast forward to June 2016 we kept calling Dj Mike Cooley all month even Inboxing him on Facebook there was no response from him . My wife kept calling him because it was days leading up to the wedding so she wanted to go over her play list and special dance to do at the wedding etc... He never responded back . Finally after calling for days the week before the wedding he pickup claiming he's so busy his phone not working. So I ask him to meet up with my wife on Thursday he said oh ok when Thursday came he never picked up the phone or called us back . Then few days be for the wedding he calls me in says oh you had a change of date and I booked a wedding on that same date don't worry I have your invoice you was here first so I will let the other wedding know that I can't do there wedding no worries you need to meet up with me at my place of business to go over everything about the wedding. So on Thursday June 23 ,2016 we meet at CJ Party Rental & Event Planning 5061 FL-7 #612, Davie, FL 33314 we had to sit there in wait until Dj Mike Cooley got off his first job. after sitting in the car for about 20 minutes Dj Mike Cooley pulled up and told us to follow him to the Dunkin Donuts in the same plaza were we meet his assistant another Dj ,there we talk about all the details to the wedding .what time to be there what type of music would be played etc... Then he throught I was going to pay him the balance right then in there in cash I said send the link to my email si I can pay you . He sent the link to my email but I didn't pay him through the link I made sure my wedding planner paid him in cash the day of the wedding to make sure he would show . In he did on June 25 , 2016 Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) was paid in full by my wedding planner he showed up set up everything after the ceremony has we were taking pictures outside the venue during cocktail hour Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) came to the front of the venue were he told me to stay clam it's my day as I was talking pictures look mad . Fast forward bridal party line up for grand entrance in the reception as each person was walking in I can hear my wedding planner voice on the microphone not Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) voice that's when I knew something was wrong . We made are grand entrance And went in to the first dance the dance mixes was wrong and we were caught off guard so we had to play a long and just go with the flow we're Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) was nowhere to be found . I ask the Dj that was there we're is Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) he said Mike stepped out , that's when I realized Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) took are money and put a Dj that didn't no how to host or Dj a wedding at are wedding we had to tell him what to play when to play it .Cedric Felix aka Mike Cooley ( Dj Mike Cooley) was suppose to host and Dj are wedding that's why we booked him he took are money in left us high in dry
