I ordered a wedding dress, standard sizing; no custom. My 1st red flag was the 55 wait period before shipment. Why would a company need that much time to ship a standard sized dress? My 2nd red flag was the multiple failed delivery attempts from the DHL shipping company. I had to sign for the dress (?), but each time the dress was delivered to my house, I was not home because I was at work. I requested multiple times to change the date/time of delivery and to have no signature provided, but it was not approved. Finally, when I received my dress and tried it on, I was very disappointed. The 3rd red flag was the sizing chart provided on the website. It is inaccurate, irrelevant, and useless! The dress was tight around my shoulders and upper back to where I could not fully zip up the dress, the dress did not accentuate my body; making my waist look boxy, and the bra padding was right underneath the collarbone, sitting on top on my breasts. Immediately, I sent an email to request a refund and I am met with customer service essentially stalling my request so that I would miss the Free Return for standard size dresses within 7 days (which is stated on their website). They were persistent on convincing me about how beautiful the dress was (even though it was incredibly poorly designed) and how beautiful I would look in the dress, that I just need to get it tailored, or I should gift it to a friend. Not once did this company take my review and feelings into consideration! I was completely dismissed. Why does Cocomelody stall and then try to convince their customers to like their faulty products? On Cocomelody's website, to the right it of the advertisement of the dress I had ordered, it states "Free returns for any standard sizing dresses within 7 days". Customer service informed me that there would be no free returns because of the international shipping fee, the 30% restocking fee, and any other additional fees. So, why does your website say "Free returns for standard sizes?". Customer service informed me that their standard sizing is NOT actually standard. EACH dress is custom made regardless of standard sizes. No wonder it took 55 days. Custom by definition means "made or done to order for a particular customer." Standard means "something set up or established by an authority as a rule for the measure of quantity, weight, extent, value, or quality". Very different, so why would Cocomelody offer "standard sizing" when each dress is custom made? That doesn't make sense. I finally had enough of requesting the return information (shipping label information, address information, etc) after 6 times! I have reached out to my credit card company for litigation regarding the horrible treatment this company has provided and have taken it upon myself to inform every customer I possibly can to make sure they do not fall in the same trap as I did. Please spend your money on a business that genuinely cares about their customers. Simple return information should not be held back nor should the company try to persuade the customer in keeping their faulty product. What a disgrace.
If you’re a bride Googling “Cocomelody reviews” please DO NOT order bridesmaids dresses from Cocomelody right now. We ordered ours back in October and still haven’t gotten our dresses or any kind of refund or even a customer service phone number. They finally admitted to losing one of my bridesmaids dresses and another bridesmaid received random dresses in the wrong size and color. I’ve been emailing back and forth with them for a month and haven’t gotten anywhere. I am going to have to go out and buy different dresses even though we ordered them 6mo in advance because we are getting close to my wedding date and we are out of time. They are super pretty (though I’ve heard ill fitting) but it is not worth the stress of tracking everyone’s dresses down and hoping they get here in time. Something is very wrong. $500 down the drain. They do not seem to care about people posting bad reviews either, it’s like talking to AI or something. Based on my experience I would say, once you spend your money don’t expect the product or your money back. Go to Etsy and support a smaller company if you’re looking for something unique.
Cocomelody was the 3rd shop I visited, and the only appointment my Bridal Party could make. I had found a dress at the 2nd shop, but had waited to see what Cocomelody would offer, plus I didn't want to deprive the party of the whole experience! Albert helped us out, and he was fantastic. He really knew his stuff and had great advise for me. I appreciate that he really focused on me and my party, and worked hard to find the right dress. He also helped us take photos so we could show the family and remember the day. After a number of dresses tried on, I did end up buying my dress at cocomelody, and I was quite happy with my dress. It fit my wedding perfectly.
The only down side for me was the alterations. After buying, I was told I would just need to call the alterations location in Glendale when it was closer to my wedding date, and they would take care of it. Of course I expected there to be a fee at that time, but it seemed like it was a simple matter of scheduling the appointment and going from there. When the time came, I called and called with no answer. When I finally got someone on the phone, they were very rude. The said that if I hadn't "pre purchased" the alterations, I couldn't get them done there. I had not even been given a pre-purchase option, nor could I even figure out how to buy that, since it's not on the website or anything. I didn't even fully know what I needed in terms of changes, aside form the hem that very clearly needed to be brought up.
Because of the experience with the alterations department, I ended up being left in a situation scrambling to find alternatives for the alterations I thought was going to be straightforward. Thankfully, the David's Bridal near me does alterations, even on dresses not from their shop, so I was able to finish that process through them (although at a much higher cost).
If it were just the experience of the shopping, I would recommend Cocomelody because Albert's service was so exceptional and he made the whole thing fun and enjoyable for all of us. However, after the experience with alterations, I am hesitant to recommend unless you already have someone you know for the alterations. It's incredibly jarring finding out you have no options to alter as you are closing in on the deadline to have the alterations done and get your dress back in time! I am taking a star off for the alterations experience, although I would really like to take a star and a half because it was so stressful!
I’m a plus-size bride and wanted a black dress, so I did a lot of research and decided on Cocomelody. I was beyond nervous about buying a dress online, but I took advantage of their try-at-home program and their custom sizing. Their customer service is prompt and efficient. My dress only needed very slight alterations and I added a bustle, but it fit like a glove and showed up in less than 8 weeks.
I love my dress! Ben was awesome during my appointment. The dress I originally wanted to try on was not available, but he came through and helped me find THE DRESS! This dress was perfect for the image I had for my wedding.
I had a great experience at the LA store! I made an appointment and went with my mom and brother. They had the dresses I requested ready. I tried on a lot of dresses and they were helpful with me as I decided. I got my dream dress and I’m happy
This was the worst experience of buying clothing online that I've ever experienced. Terrible service, terrible quality, and just plain terrible all the way around. If the grooms hadn't picked this particular dress, there is no way I would have gone through what I went through to be sure I had one to wear because I was in the wedding. I ordered the dress based on their sizing chart. I went about 1" too big everywhere to be sure it fit, and it ended up being a stock size. When I received the dress, it had about 4" left to close at the top. It was a strapless, and it fit everywhere but the top. When I received the dress, I had COVID, was closing on my personal home (I'm a Realtor) and was moving that week. I tried it on the second I had a minute to do so. They would not exchange it because it was out of the 7-day exchange period. (They will NOT do a straight return.) They "so kindly" offered me a 15% discount on the next dress. So, in order to be friendly and be sure to receive the dress in time, I made up something about it being my fault because I ate too much over the winter or something. So, I ordered a dress that was SO big that I could slip it on and off while zipped up and still had room for 2-3 fists when it was on. I took it to get tailored and it fit really well. I waited until the week of the wedding to get it cleaned because I didn't want it to sit in the closet and get wrinkled again. This is when I found out the dress was in bad condition. The material used had so many imperfections (little white stripes where it should have been a solid dark color), and it was sewn together so poorly (the pleats were coming apart at the seams. These were not altered, they removed material from the back to alter size) that they recommended only pressing the dress and not dry cleaning because they believed the dress would be ruined by the process. So, I left it with them, 7 days before the out of state wedding. I returned 2 days later to pick up the dress, and the material was so badly ruined from just being pressed that it was not usable. I had to try to find a cleaner/tailor who could try to fix it for me. Luckily, I found one, and she was able to use the front section of the first dress I had (remember, they wouldn't let me exchange or return it) and tack it on to the second dress. It wasn't great, but it at least didn't have large white marks on the dark purple part that was right in front. It was a complete nightmare. When I got to the wedding and the other 2 ladies and I were discussing our dresses, they each had the same issue with the quality and sizing. The material defects on theirs were in less obvious places, so it worked out, but the top of the front folded over and showed the white underneath on all 3 of our dresses. So much so that we just decided since it all looked the same we might as well leave it alone. None of us have told the grooms the extent of problems we had, because we wanted THEIR day to be nice and as unstressful as possible. In total, I've spent over $250 on a dress that I first bought on sale at $66 plus shipping, because COCOMELODY has terrible service, terrible quality, and all around terrible everything. I would never depend on them for anything, and definitely not for something as important as my wedding day.
This was the first shop I visited in person when I started dress shopping (I went to the downtown L.A. location in the fashion district). When you make a reservation online, you’re given the option to choose up to 5 dress SKU numbers from their website catalog to try on, and then your stylist can suggest others. It’s a good thing I wasn’t attached to any of the three dresses I had specifically picked out because none of them were in stock for me to try on. Though I had specified a budget range, I was brought dresses outside my budget to try on (and only found out the prices after the fitting was over). The staff were nice, but I don’t feel like they really listened to what I liked/didn’t like about each dress in selecting alternate dresses for me to try on. They also don’t seem to take very good care of their sample dresses. The hems on all of them were dirty from being dragged on the floor and almost all the dresses I tried on had broken zippers/buttons so I had to be clamped into them. Maybe that’s how all bridal dress shops are? I don’t know. I just feel like this in-store experience has kind of put me off the in-person wedding dress shopping experience. I’d rather shop online and try on dresses my way instead of driving downtown (stressful), paying $25 for parking (ridiculous), and then trying on ~8 poorly-maintained sample size dresses that did not include any of the ones I specifically picked out. 🤷♀️
TL;DR: Cocomelody fat-shamed my bridesmaid, and when I emailed the supervisors I never received a response. Refund was received.
So my bridesmaid ordered her dress online through Cocomelody. She then received an email from a Lacey at around 1am MST stating they refused to take her dress because her measurements are "too large", then provided suggestions for type of dress, an empire waist and an A-line, which would look like a TENT on a curvy woman. My bridesmaid was understandably hurt. I then emailed this Lacey, calling her out on her behavior, which I never received a response for. My mother got involved, and called the number attached to their website. It put us in touch with an Abigail, who runs a boutique location in LA, I believe. She explained that it was outside her job to do anything directly because her store provides local dresses and doesn't deal with online orders, so she asked us to forward Lacey's email so she could put it in touch with the right people. She did, and I emailed this to the 'higher ups' and never received a response.
Meanwhile, my bridesmaid emails Lacey back and asks for a refund which has been received.
I still hadn't heard a response from the higher ups nearly 48 hours later, so I sent them a final email on July 1, 2022 to notify them that we took the refund and will be taking our business elsewhere. As of today (August 3rd) I have not received any response from the supervisors.
As an aside: when speaking with cocomelody, they used the location of the online orders (China) as an excuse, citing the use of Google translate for the reason that the first email came across so badly. I quickly explained that wasn't the issue (nor would I take it as an explanation) given that Lacey should never have taken it upon herself to 'correct' my bridesmaid's order in the first place. I don't have any screenshots of this, as it was a phone call, but it only furthered my dislike for the company. Make of it what you will.
This company is the worst! I sat in traffic for 2 hours with an injured knee and my disabled mother, spent money on gas tolls and spent time looking for parking only to find out they did not have any of the dress I requested months ago to try on at there pop up shop.
What was the point of asking for my size and dress requested if you were not going to have them there to try on? I suggest going anywhere else but here! The dress also looked un iron and un clean for trying on. The pop up was also in a run down office space. They made ot sound like there would be tons of stylist there. There was only one make without the option of a female to assist.
I just told 2 of my friends who have upcoming weddings to go some place else. I'm shocked no one told me or called me to say they didn't have the dress.
Worst part is a confirmed the dress I requested would be there for me to try on. I have the emails and was told at the shop that the person who confirmed was from their China factory and they didn't know why they would confirm anything? What kind of business is this?!
My experience was ruined and I went some place else and got a beautiful dress.
My friend got her dress from Cocomelody and she highly recommended it because of her positive experience. We got to the place early and we were able to look through the dresses that I might want to try on. Even though we waited a bit longer to be seen because they had taken long with the last customer, I still experienced great customer service because they dedicated that hour to me and my needs. Everything really went smoothly as my friend had said. I like that they had a large space to try on the dresses too and good outside lighting since it was next to huge windows.
I had never been wedding dress shopping for myself nor anyone else, so I didn't really have any expectations. I had a couple dresses in mind from doing prior research and they were immediately pulled out and placed into my dressing room. Then I spoke with one of the employees so they could get more ideas and pull out more dresses. During the time of trying on dresses, I felt I was tended to enough, but I was later informed that dresses should not be pinned to fit me while I'm already on the viewing pedestal. I also noticed that with some of the dresses I was trying on, the thing to pull up the zipper was broken. So maybe not as much care goes into preserving the try-on dresses? Not sure. And unfortunately, I did not say yes to a dress. So four stars for my lack of expectations and a little education.
Do not buy a dress from this company! Long story short, I was sent a dress that didn’t fit, mind you I used the companies recommended measurements. I bought two dresses from different companies and the dress from the non-coco melody company perfectly with room for a bit of weight gain, whereas the dress I ordered from here didn’t fit. I asked to return the dress and was given hell. I had to pay $130 to have the dress ship back then they charged me a restocking fee and other bill crap. The post customer service is absolute garbage. I had to reach out about my returned dress. They waited a week to even acknowledge my dress was in the warehouse. I had to say something. Such a scam. They just want to pocket your money and cause you stress. Please do not waste your time, energy, and money on these people.
Cocomelody offers exceptional service and expertise in selecting a gown. The natural light enhances every persons natural beauty. We had a wonderful experience and felt at ease shopping and trying dresses on. Thank you Albert for your kindness and generosity.
I was made aware of the affordable wedding dressed at Cocomelody by a friend whose sister made a purchase a few years ago. I had tried wedding dress shopping at David's Bridal early in my engagement and had a very bad experience so I was happy to try a different Bridal Salon. Mind you, I am now only 9 weeks away from my wedding! I had my appointment yesterday at Cocomelody and was attended by Jade who was absolutely wonderful! They made sure that they provided me with dresses that not only were reasonably priced but also available for rush order in order to have it altered and ready by my wedding. Jade was able to bring me amazing choices of dresses to try on based on my wedding date and it was incredible how to the tee she was with the styles I was looking for. I said YES! to a dress and am so beyond happy I found Cocomelody and Jade! I highly recommend!! P.S. they have a great selection of black wedding dresses if that is something you are looking for!
I came across cocomelody from a Facebook add and fell in love with their dresses. I was having a hard time choosing between two dresses so I sent them an email to see if they could make one dress out of different aspects of both dresses, turns out they could. I ordered on Black Friday so to save a little money and got the dress the first week of March. It is absolutely perfect! I had a whole list of things done to the dress. I had them make the dress from
the top of dress #LD4432
the bottom is #LD4606
We used the lace of #LD4604
Added beading from #LD4432
Made the dress black
Added pockets
Added a layer of sparkle tulle from dress b14tb0056 to the skirt
Honestly the dress couldn’t be more perfect! It will need minimal alterations done. Really just around the arms need to be a little tighter but other than that I won’t be needing anything done. I worked with Iris,Ruth,Leslie,Mel,and Denise to customize the dress and they were really helpful. Checking and double checking to make sure everything was correct before ordering the dress and even mid making the dress! I really highly recommend cocomelody and can not say enough good things about them! I’m debating on if I should get a second dress for reception, if I do I will definitely be getting it from here!
I had an amazing experience at the Cocomelody LA store on Sunday after my Disneyland bachelorette! I had gone to other bridal shops and none can compare of Cocomelody. The staff are incredibly responsive to call calls and messages, sweet, and create a low pressure environment that is perfect for a nervous or anxiety bride, a bride who has a hard time saying no, or a bride that feels insecure about her body. The prices are a dream for a budget conscious bride because everything there was affordable and customizations are at a very reasonable price but still very high quality.
If you are ever blessed enough to visit the place, make sure to ask for Albert or Benjamin! If any managers are reading this, give them raises! They are worth their weight in gold! This store is located on the 8th floor of the Gerry Building so when you get there, you have to call to have the staff let you in. The lighting is beautiful in here so you get to see how the dress would look under different lighting (sunlight or spot light). Get your stylist number and text them photos of you int the dress to add to your reference photos on your order!
Albert, who is the biggest sweetheart, was my bridal stylist and the fifth dress I tried on was the one. Albert helped me pick a veil, tiara, and gave great advice on customizations I wanted to add, like panels to hide my rib tattoo or detachable off the shoulder sleeves. I had another appointment and the amazing thing about all the staff here is they don't pressure you into a sale. They made me feel comfortable going to my other appointments and coming back to buy the dress of my dreams.
When I came down from my high, I panicked because I had forgotten to ask for two key customizations that I wanted: custom length because I am so short but I wanted to keep the train long. I called them the next morning and Benjamin, that absolute angel, helped me get my measurements in and was so easy to work with. I bought up that I was on the fence about thinking of pockets and he was so helpful in making a decision that wouldn't compromise the integrity and look of my dress.
Please come here and experience the magic!
Overall I highly recommend cocomelody. They have an amazing selection of affordable yet gorgeous gowns. I really liked that they had gowns with color since I knew I wanted a black wedding dress. I made a trip to LA to try on gowns and found one I loved and wanted in black. It was affordable to have some custom alterations done to it. The only reason I put four stars is since the customization wasn't exactly what I was promised, but it didn't matter in the end. My dress looked amazing and I was so happy with it on my wedding day.
We made the journey to LA to try on dresses at Cocomelody in person. Benjamin helped us out and was so knowledgeable! Every dress was gorgeous, so it was hard to pick just one. Throughout the process Benjamin gave his suggestions and advice. I ended up getting the second dress we tried and the veil he recommended. I felt so beautiful! It was awesome that you could both see how the dress looked in natural light and in the evening under lights. Some of the dresses are serious stunners under the lights! I wish I could have had them all!!!
Wow! Amazing find. I started my search at places like Lovella and Lovely Bride...I definitely found some gorgeous dresses but MAN they were expensive. Once I had a sense of what I liked, I headed to Coco and found my DREAM dress for literally a tenth of the price. Saved me tons for my wedding budget and I'm so happy with it. Highly recommend it (and Benjamin was so great to work with!)
I loved my dress from Cocomelody! Prices were super reasonable without foregoing quality on the dress. I sent them my measurements and it came fitting perfectly. Didn't need to take it for any extra alterations. My dress also showed up a week earlier then I was told it would, which I was super excited about. They also have an option to try on dresses for super cheap! They’ll ship a style to you so you can see if you look good in that kind of dress before you buy something you think you’ll good in. Overall, I loved my dress and couldn’t have imagined myself wearing anything else that day ❤️
DO NOT BUY FROM COCOMELODY!
I ordered a custom dress from cocomelody based off pictures from another bride who ordered. I worked with numerous stylists to ensure the dress would be made perfectly. Asked all the questions, asked exactly how to order, and made sure my measurements were exact. Not only did the dress not fit, but it was the WRONG COLOR. I ended up with a YELLOW wedding dress. Not champagne as the style is, not ivory (which is what I ordered) but straight up YELLOW. I begged and pleaded with the company for it to be fixed, as I bought from this company to save money. I waited until the Black Friday sale and everything. They would NOT take the dress back to fix it nor would they remake the dress without me having to pay AGAIN for a new dress. DO NOT BUY A CUSTOM MADE DRESS. PERIOD. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I went into the showroom with a specific dress in mind and Albert was on top of it from the jump. He was happy, pleasant and truly felt like he was having as much fun as we were. I didn't try too many dresses but they were all pretty and I wound up buying the one I came there for. It was CRAZY cheap and was also on sale for Memorial Day. Easy, positive, fun experience - highly recommend!
I said YES!!!!!! to the dress. The first dress I put on was the ONE. I’m extremely picky and everything I was looking for I found. My mother in law, sister in law, and I cried our eyes out and knew the dress was the one. Ben was so nice helpful and he was just a good vibe. Perfect price , amazing quality and speedy shipping not other stores could provide since my wedding is November.
Albert was so very helpful with finding my dream dress! Although he was busy helping other brides he made sure I was in love with my dress and gave me good advice to spruce and alter it if needed! I’m grateful for the fast and easy experience. So excited to feel beautiful in my Yes dress ❤️
We went to the LA Cocomelody bridal shop. But prior going to the place, we had to set up an appointment. I was afraid I was going to get it rejected because it was a day before (I do want to mention that I was booking an appointment for Monday)! Luckily, Benjamin emailed me and accepted the booking. I was relieved and excited! The experience was awesome! I LOVE Benjamin! He was super helpful and attentive. He wasn’t pushy or in a rush. We cracked jokes (like how I was getting unzipped and the curtain was half open and he says “we should probably close that” and I responded back with, “it’s okay, it’s a free show”) and laughed. He made me feel good about myself in all the dresses I tried on. I have curves that I DIDN’T know I had. It was great. He was great! He is very knowledgeable with the prices of alternations and even broke it down for me. He assured me that the dress will be made to how I wanted it. I’m excited to see my dress soon and fall even more in love with it. Benjamin if you can see this! Thank you so much! You are the absolute BEST!
Edit from March 2023 (years later): Cocomelody is emailing me again out of the blue saying they are still waiting for a response from me. For what? I have no idea.
This is specifically about try at home. I only tried one dress so really can’t say much about their options. The dress I did get was an odd fit.
I ordered one sample and due to delays it was going to arrive while I was away for a couple of days. I was offered an extension which was great. However, I returned the dress two days before the extension was up. Because of nationwide delays with shipping and updates, I took a video with the box and tracking number visible when I dropped the package off. I have provide this to Cocomelody. I keep getting texts (which you can’t reply to) and emails from someone named Lina telling me they haven’t received it (it’s been three days since I dropped it off). These emails started the last day of my extension.
They keep telling me I need to call fedex which I am unable to do as I work during their business hours. I have sent the video of me dropping it off multiple times and asked them to either call or be patient. There are packages I’ve ordered for Christmas that were sent fedex and I got them weeks later and they were never scanned in. It’s just what is happening right now.
This company is harassing me with multiple messages a day all saying the same thing and at this point I’m expecting them to charge me double the price of the dress (which I will have to dispute).
I do not recommend ordering try at home with this company.
My dress was beautiful! You can customize basically anything. Their customer service is amazing! The dresses are quality for a fraction of the price anywhere else. I highly recommend!
I followed their instructions to return my purchase and have proof of delivery from the shipping company and they are claiming they can’t find it, that UPS is lying and they haven't received it and won’t refund my money. I’ve shown them proof and in return they send me photos of their parking lot with mountains of packages! I do not believe they’ve even gone through those mountains to be able to know whether or not mine is there. They keep asking me about shipping insurance to pawn the responsibility off on the shipping company. The shipping company delivered the dress and it is Cocomelodys responsibility to refund my money at this point. I bet they do try to pull this with everyone to get out of refunding people! Buyers beware!!
Great quality, styles and prices for wedding dresses! I got mine for $499 plus 10% coupon code that was sent when I subscribed to their alerts. I would not recommend this as your 1st wedding dress stop as they have limited options to try on for each size esp if you don't know what you want yet. Go to David's Bridal or another boutique, then when you have an idea of what you want come to Cocomelody.
I ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses from CocoMelody in custom sizes tailored to fit my bridesmaids perfectly. I’ll go ahead and tell you right now they were a dumpster fire!!!! The worst quality and fit dresses I’ve ever seen. When I contacted them to see what could be done, they blamed ME claiming I sent the wrong measurements that I had a PROFESSIONAL do for me. One of the dresses in particular was worse than the others. It was 4 sizes too big up top and 3 inches too short on my 5 foot tall bridesmaid. I pointed this out to them that it was ruined beyond repair. Their solution? “Have your other 3 bridesmaids cut their dresses off shorter to match hers”. This has been the worst experience of my life. Thank GOD David’s Bridal was able to get all new dresses in before my wedding in less than 3 months. Sadly I lost all of the money I spent at CocoMelody. STEER CLEAR OF THEM. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Their tailors are worse than AliExpress.
Amazing dresses for an afforable price. Made my special day so perfect.
I scheduled a two hour session at CocoMelody and went on a Tuesday as they noted that they were busy on the weekends. I would definitely recommend going on a weekday as there was hardly anyone else trying on dresses when we went and I ended up spending over 2.5 hours trying on everything. I did make a list of the dresses that I wanted before hand and I contacted them twice before my appointment to be sure that the dresses would be in the store. I do recommend you also do this. I had gone to other bridal shops where the dresses online where not kept in the store. When we arrived at CocoLA one of the dresses I requested had been removed by the designer and was unavailable. I was able to try on every other dress on my list (and there were A LOT) and I didn’t love any of them! The stylist suggested I try a different silhouette and she brought out a few more styles which I hadn’t considered. After a few more try ons I FOUND MY DRESS! I ended up adding custom sleeves and lining to it and the dress arrived at my house about two weeks early.
But wait there’s more
My dress was too long! Like waaay too long. I contacted CocoLA and they gave me the option to bring it in to alter. However, that wasn’t feasible for me so Coco offered to reimburse me for the cost to take the dress to a local professional seamstress. I was worried about this as the bottom of the dress was lace but you can’t even tell it was taken up.
CocoLA gets 5 stars in my book for exceptional customer service, good quality, great selection, and affordability.
It was a good experience if you know exactly what you want and just want to try it on. However, they don't offer other selections than what is in your showroom regardless of what you discuss with them. Be warned that you will be handling the dresses yourself and they do not help you into the dresses, only to button you up in the back.
It was such an amazing experience for my fiancé and I. At first buying a dress at other stores were really stressful and then we got there and it felt so natural and organic. I saw a couple of dresses on their website and they looked really beautiful in person. The stylist Dante was so helpful and entertaining. He made the whole experience so effortless! At the end, he surprised me with another dress that I didn’t even see online, and it turns out that dress was the dress. And I can’t thank him enough!!!! I highly recommend Dante for anyone who is looking for a great experience while dress shopping!
Staff was very friendly. The location wasn’t what I was expecting. It seemed a little too dirty for my liking. My biggest complaint is I drove 2 hours to try on dresses, I saved 4 pages worth of dresses that I liked and when I got there and showed them my favorites I saved they only had 1 of the dresses. A complete waste of my time.
I LOVED my dress from Cocomelody! I was hesitant to order online so I went to the pop up shop in New York. The appointment was very rushed and so was not a great experience; but, I did find my dress. The custom sizing option is amazing and worked wonderfully. They did make the dress a little longer than I asked so I ended up having to buy another pair of shoes after my initial pair to get the extra height I needed.
Everything from picking my dress to alterations was amazing. I had Albert in azusa as my alterations specialist and he was AMAZING. He fit my dress perfectly and made me comfortable the whole time. I am so glad that i got my dress here. Its beautiful and the price was amazing. ♡
The dresses here are beautiful and the prices are amazing!
Loved my dress! Was the best decision!
We were a few minutes late due to traffic, but everything moved forward once we arrived. Clay was great waiting to help out with clipping dresses to show how it would be altered. Some of the dresses weren’t in the best shape (button or zipper issues), but it all came together. I did not buy a dress on the first appointment, but I’d love to go back to revisit the dress and maybe try on some other options.
We went on a Thursday afternoon, by appointment, for me to try on wedding gowns. We were ten minutes late because of traffic, but no one showed any irritation. Taj was my lovely stylist and she was patient, helpful, and very sweet. Only one or two other groups were there during my appointment slot, but we had Taj's undivided attention. I tried on four dresses, tried a couple different sizes, re-tried on a couple, and then finally chose The One! Taj helped me custom order it with removable off-the-shoulder straps (it's normally strapless) and got permission from her manager to give me the Black Friday discount even though I was a couple weeks early. The one thing I didn't expect was a tip line on the receipt because I thought stylists made commission. As a bartender, I can't just leave a tip line blank, though. Just make sure you prepare for that in your budget. Also make sure you're ordering your dress super early!I ordered my dress on November 14th and it won't arrive until February 22nd, then I'll still need to get alterations, but thankfully my wedding isn't until August. Have fun and enjoy your dress shopping experience!
The showroom staff made me feel excited and at ease at the same time from the moment we walked in. Interestingly enough, I ended up choosing the first dress I tried on, and what sealed it was they reminded me I could customize the dress. And me being able to have sleeves was a must have.
Jade was my stylist, and her level of attention was wonderful. I truly felt that everyone there, really did want me to find exactly what was right for me. I even found the right price. I was wanting to stay on the economical side of things without sacrificing quality and I feel this boutique is exactly what every bride should check out.
IMPORTANT NOTE - DO NOT USE THEIR ALTERATIONS LOCATION! For each appointment I had at the alterations location in Azusa, I was kept waiting anywhere from 1.5-2 hours.
Dresses were gorgeous and great quality, very reasonable prices. I went in with one idea for a dress, but it didn't "wow" me once I put it on. My consultant pulled a dress that was sorta similar, but one that I never would've grabbed. It ended up being my dress! Definitely recommend
I haven't purchased the dress yet, but I was SO impressed by the experience I had in the flagship store in LA. I was very skeptical going in -- how could they charge these prices without compromising quality? But when I actually got to feel and try on the dresses, I was blown away by how well-made, carefully constructed, beautifully designed they were. My stylist Clay was also super helpful. I feel like Cocomelody is the disruption that the wedding dress industry needs...
My dress fitting went wonderfully, got my exact dress in a timely manner & so did my bridesmaids! 5 stars ⭐️
I took a risk and ordered online without having tried on the dress ahead of time... and it majorly paid off!! The dress was perfect, just had to get it taken in the slightest bit and hemmed. It was high quality and exactly what I was looking for, AND it was so affordable compared to so many other dresses that were the same style and quality that I had looked at in boutiques!!! Could not have been happier with it, I will continue to recommend CocoMelody!
Thank you to Cocomelody. My experience with the team was stress free and fun. The team is so patient and helpful. Very kind people and easy to work with starting from my first try on to picking a dress the second visit and finishing up with everything working out after the alterations. I enjoyed the whole process and they made my life easier. Will definitely recommend for future bride to be. Even though I had to flew in from another city, everything worked out just fine. Thanks again to the team and can’t wait to show off the dress on my big day!!!
After hours and hours of online research on wedding dresses i stumbled upon Cocomelody. i read all the reviews and watched all the youtube reviews and decided to make an appointment.
Check in was fast and easy. The front desk was extremely welcoming and attentive.
My stylist was Clay and let me tell you he was AMAZING! Clay pulled the dresses that i had emailed him prior to my appointment. The quality of the dresses was great and the prices even better! i did not feel rushed or pressured to buy a dress. I went to my appointment with my aunt, sister and grandmother, however i could not make a decision without my mom. so we decided to make a 2nd appointment.
Upon arriving at my second appointment Clay was busy with another client and i was being helped by another stylist. I believe they were having issues finding the dresses that i was asking for. But the store manager took it upon herself to help out personally! Customer service was great on her part. Halfway through my appointment Clay became available and was able to help me. The dress that i was looking for "LD5830" was not available in my size, however when i seen it in person i knew that was my dress!
Plus size selection was great and at very reasonable prices!
i will be updating my post once the dress comes in and i am able to try it on.
Thank you Cocomelody for an amazing experience!
I had an amazing experience at Cocomelody. I had created a showroom before going in for my appointment. When I arrived, my stylist Samantha looked at my showroom and asked for my top picks, and picked another one from my showroom as well. I ended up falling in love with the one that my stylist picked out. I did not want to take it off, and knew it was the one. My stylist was very attentive, helping me with the dresses and answering any questions that I had. She brought out a belt when requested so I could see the look with the dress I loved, and that is how it sealed the deal for me. They are going to ship the dress to my Maid of Honor's house and I also got the alteration package added. I am so thankful for a wonderful experience and finding my dream dress!
I am so glad with my decision to purchase my dress from CocoMelody. They have so many beautiful dresses to choose from and all reasonably priced. You could purchase 2 quality made dresses for the price of 1 at other bridal shops. Albert from the Alterations Team was simply amazing. He was helpful and knowledgeable. I am already in love with my dress and we haven't even finished the alterations. Best wedding choice so far -other than picking my guy, of course (smile).
It was so worth it to go into LA and find my dream gown for a great price! Make sure you look up if the dress is in-stock in the showroom before you arrive. Also, know that if you purchase a dress in-house, you will most likely pay more for sales tax/fees. (Buy online if this is a budget issue for you). Other than keeping that in mind, the dress specialists were there to assist and they had a wonderful array of gowns to try on. I even got to stay a little over an hour for my appointment when I seriously inquired on a dress, which was so nice and personal. Great experience!
This was my first dress shopping experience and it was fantastic. I absolutely loved my consultant Jade and how attentive she was. She took my ideas in to consideration and each dress I tried on just kept getting better and better. I was on dress #4 when she noticed that the fit wasn't right for me and so she ran to grab a dress that she thought would be the game-changer and she was absolutely correct. Dress #5 was stunning and the only reason I didn't walk out the door with it was because I had another appointment booked. I plan to ask her a few more questions about alterations for it but I am totally getting that dress!
I love my Cocomelody dress! The price was right, the dress came on time and was very well made. I didn't even need any alterations.
The highest quality at an affordable price. The customer service is top notch too.
Ordered the dress standard size 6. Size chart reads bust 35 waist 28 bottom 38. First they lied bout what they would do. Then after months I had to track them down to find out about my dress which they tried to lie about to try to prolong the making of it (even though they had no issue taking my money months before) I FINALLY after over 2 month later got the dress.....and they measured wrong! I took the dress in to a professional tailor. The dress they sent me measures 30 bust 28 waist and 35 bottom. Their rep admitted to the size being wrong. I told her I was a 32 bust and she said that's what the dress is and I should just get it altered! Now they are refusing to fix THEIR mistake....wedding is 5 weeks away and they say I can sent the dress back or "deal with human error" all I asked is they pay to get the alterations made since THEY screwed up even when I provided statement from the tailor saying it was incorrect and their own rep admitted they screw up they didnt care and they refuse to fix it. Beware of this company. A Puey Q. of CocoMelody has tried to comment on here asking for more info however I cant seem to reply to here. I would be more then happy to reply to her if I could get her email to send a message
The dresses are even more stunning in person!. The show room was beautiful! Very chic!. They served us a little champagne while our bride tried on her dresses. I think she tried on 4 before finding the 1!. The stylist, I not recall his name. I want to say Tylor.. But he was very patient and really had a good idea of the dress we were going for. I do highly recommend this place! Thank you for a very lovely experience!
I went to the LA store - the space was cool and very well lit (love the windows)! All of the staff was friendly and clearly happy to be there. My stylist was professional and very relaxing. I also love that all the dresses here are very different than other places. And most are also affordable. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
I loved my experience with them. Drove 3 hours to go pick out my dress, then went for my fitting appointment and they helped me before my time. I should be receiving my dress tomorrow, super excited! ❤️ I would definitely recommend!
I had the best experience with coco melody! They were amazing with me while finding the perfect dress (which was the 3rd dress I put on) and I just had my first fitting and the staff was wonderful! So excited I was referred to coco melody and will continue to refer them!
