Garth did a phenomenal job teaching us at our own pace and making our lessons a really fun and enjoyable experience! Dancing together was a wonderful part both of our wedding day and the weeks leading up to it, and I'm so glad we chose to do it. Garth was also awesome at accommodating our work schedules, and managing to fit in a full 10 lessons when we contacted Convergence only a few weeks before our wedding!

Roxanne was an amazing instructor for a couple who had no prior experience with any types of dance. She made us feel comfortable from our first lesson to our last for our first dance at our wedding. We really "wowed" our guests with our dance and owe it all to Roxanne for her guidance! Convergence is a professional studio that provides valuable lessons for newbies and experienced dancers. We're looking forward to continuing dance lessons as a new hobby!

We came to Garth at the eleventh hour to take us from zero to wedding dance in about 6 weeks. Garth was very easy going, loved the song we chose, and walked us through 6-7 moves to incorporate. He was great at proactively correcting mistakes and made an effort to keep it as relaxed as possible. We got a lot of applause at our wedding during our dance and we highly recommend Garth for those needing some lessons for the big day!

Garth was absolutely incredible! We gave him a tough start with a very slow song with a variable rhythm, but he was able to show us quite a few moves that worked perfectly for what we wanted. It was so easy to learn from him. He was very thorough, making sure we got every move correct and then getting our timing right. Week after week it felt like everything was coming to us easier and easier. We barely even practiced away. We would do some steps about 3 times a week while our food was cooking or just had 5 minutes to spare. Garth really was amazing, and we are even thinking about coming back for some fun dance lessons just for us!

We had such a great experience working with the instructors at Convergence! We mostly worked with Robert, who helped us to prepare for our first dance for our wedding. He helped us to build out the dance piece by piece and give us enough tools and basic steps to fill in freestyle where needed. We used 9 lessons and by wedding day were very well-rehearsed and prepared for our dance. Highly recommend Convergence for anyone looking for dance lessons of any kind!

Garth was an excellent dance teacher to work with. My husband promised me we would learn a dance for our wedding, but he had to be dragged to this dance class. Garth was very understanding that we were both on different dance levels and he found a great routine to teach us. We took a total of 10 classes and each class we added just a little bit more until we had an excellent routine. By class 9 my husband was smiling and having fun. By the time of our wedding, we were ready and the dance went perfectly! Thank you Garth! We will be back to learn salsa!

Everyone at the dance studio was so friendly and complimentary. Robert helped us create a dance that even a month later, people can't stop talking to us about, wanting to know how much we practiced and how they hadn't seen anyone do a wedding dance like it. We enjoyed classes so much, we're excited to go back for regular lessons. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to create a show stopper for their first dance. Our biggest regret is that we forgot to have someone take a video, so make sure to get that set up in advance!

Our son and his new wife, my wife and I took two lessons from Roxanne. We walked in with eight left feet and walked out performing the box, outside spin, inside spin, dips, etc. Roxanne is the best coach/instructor !!! People were asking ask to teach them at the Wedding. (Of course we referred them to Roxanne) Dancing With the Stars here we come. Looks like more lessons are in our future.

My fiancé and I were long distance before our wedding so only had time for 5 lessons before our wedding (would recommend starting earlier than us lol) Garth taught us a full song length ballroom dance in just that time! Neither of us had past dance experience and still wowed our guests with our first dance :) thanks again Garth!

My fiancé and I took several lessons with Robert to prepare for our first dance. Neither of us knew anything about ballroom dancing but Robert made us look like stars! He helped us learn a waltz with dips/spins/leans. It was partially choreographed which was perfect for us because if we missed a certain step, we knew how to pick back up and finish where we needed to. We always looked forward to our lessons and it was such a fun way to connect and relax during the midst of wedding planning. Everyone has complimented us on how good our dance was! We really surprised/impressed our guests & we had so much fun together, which Robert always told us was all that mattered! He was incredibly professional, talented, and encouraging. Garth was a great instructor! We got started a bit late (about a month before the wedding) but he managed to teach us all we needed and more to make our first dance perfect! This was also a fun date night activity to do together and helped destress from wedding planning! Definitely recommend this place and Garth!

Hannah was amazing!!! My fiancé has two left feet (his words) and I’m no professional myself. We walked into dance lessons with no idea what to do or how to do it. Hannah was so patient with us and made the lessons sooo fun for us both. We ended up being very ambitious and picked three songs to mix together with three different styled dances. Hannah was a rockstar helping us learn the different dance styles and choreographed it all effortlessly! She was so easy going, fun, patient, and truly a wonderful dancer and teacher. We made the best memories going to those dance lessons and it truly made a fun date outing too.

We currently visit Garth weekly, sometimes more, for our first dance at our wedding coming up! Can’t compliment him enough! He also helped me & my dad with our dance as well. He has been so much fun to learn from! None of us have ever taken a dance lesson before or really feel we have much coordination to begin with but Garth has worked magic. We always feel so comfortable, enjoy ourselves & have many laughs in class with Garth. Garth is awesome & we’re so grateful for him! 1000% RECOMMEND

We’re most of the way through a 10-pack of lessons with Garth, and will certainly be back for more! We started with our lessons well in advance of our wedding, as we both wanted to learn to dance socially, in addition to looking good at our wedding! Garth has been great, teaching us a few dances with plenty of flexibility, and encouraging us to go practice at a few local dance halls. He makes it easy to learn, and teaches at whatever pace we’re able to handle while still keeping it fun. We’ll definitely be coming back to keep learning! Thanks Garth!

Garth was up for a challenge when he was “chosen” to be our dance instructor for our first dance at our wedding. He's a little quirky, a little (sometimes very) old school, and a lot of fun. He's knowledgable and able to make you feel comfortable while learning and making many missteps and many jokes. He'll grow more "stern" as you get better as a dance student, just as he'll be more gracious when you're a beginner. He has his way of teaching, but will also adapt if you bring something specific to him that you want to learn to do. If you learn anything, you’ll learn how important keeping someone out is and how effective dinosaur puppets are at helping you feel like a princess.

My husband and I conspired to surprise everyone at our wedding, parents and wedding party included, with a choreographed wedding dance. Neither my husband or I have any dance experience but Robert made the whole thing enjoyable. We had a blast learning a country swing dance and, more importantly, making friends with Robert! Seeing other couples and individuals take lessons, we could tell that every instructor is as wonderful as Robert was to us. Whatever your dance needs, I have no doubt that Convergence is there for the whole journey.

Dancing has never been a forté for my fiancé or me. When we got engaged I told him how I was dreading the first dance... He surprised me with dance lessons. At first I was so nervous to go, but Garth built our confidence so quickly that I started looking forward to going every week! He kept it light hearted and we learned some moves that will keep us dancing a life time. I would recommend him to any couple wanting to learn a little something!

Garth was our instructor and we loved the time with him. He did a great job working with us on our timeline. It really helped to connect with my fiance with these forced dates leading up to our wedding date. We laughed so much and I would highly encourage others to have dance lessons for their big day. My shoes were comfortable all night because I had broken them in dancing. Lessons were an opportunity to see trust in action with my partner. Two thumbs up!

Roxanne, the owner, was the best. We came in having zero idea how to dance, and she helped make our first dance amazing! Definitely would recommend her and Convergence.

My now husband and I don't enjoy the spotlight and can't dance, so we wanted to find a way to make our first dance less awkward for us. We worked with Randy and then Roxanne to learn a serious of dance steps we could incorporate into our first dance. They helped us find moves that felt comfortable and authentic to us. Several people mentioned how special and "us" our first dance felt. Would definitely recommend working with the Convergence Dance team if you're feeling nervous about your first dance! ALSO it was just a wonderful way for us to schedule a date night - we went to Katie's Pizza before or after each time and loved spending the time together.

My husband and I are definitely not dancers, so we wanted to make sure our first dance was the best it could be. We did 5 lessons with Hanna and she coreographed a personalized first dance for us, taught us every step, and we were actually able to pull it off! She even added a lift which was a fan favorite! She was amazing to work with and I would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their dance skills or wanting a perfect first dance!

Convergence dance was soo great! We shopped around at a lot of different studios and picked this one because of their enthusiasm and flexibility to work with us. I (wifey) am a full time manual wheelchair user and it is no easy task to create a dance that works and doesn’t look cheesy. No cookie cutter dance routine would have worked for us. Hanna Pierce was our choreographer and brought together such a unique dance that fit our style. I am so grateful for finding this place and Hanna! Randy did a wonderful job of choreographing and teaching us our first dance. He was very patient with us and never was bothered to slow down a move for us. He had a very upbeat attitude. I recommend 10 lessons vs 6 to make sure it’s really in your brain.

We had Robert as a teacher for our first dance/Father Daughter dance and he was a blast!! It was so much fun and he made all of the lessons enjoyable despite never having danced before. We felt that he matched our vibe/skill level very well, and we received so many compliments on our dances at the wedding! Definitely recommend!!

We only had a week and a half before our wedding but after just 3 lessons we had a full choreographed dance that all our guests told us they enjoyed. Special thanks to our instructor Garth who was excellent to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure our dance was perfect.

We are so happy we had the opportunity to work with Garth to “tune up” our first dance song. My husband and I are not natural dancers and Garth was incredibly patient and crafted an entire dance routine to fit our needs! He listened to what type of first dance we were envisioning and what level of comfort we had in achieving more complex moves. He also was a great teacher. Each week we would slowly build concepts and by the end of our 10 lessons we were very comfortable with all the dance moves and it felt like second nature. Looking back on our wedding, our first dance was my husband and I’s favorite part of the entire day! Without Garth, that would not have been the case at all. 10/10 would highly recommend it!

Hanna is so wonderful, and I cannot recommend her enough! Our lessons always flew by, and she made dancing so easy to understand. She even helped us pick our first dance song! Our first dance was perfect and everyone was impressed, and it was all thanks to her!

Convergence was our absolute favorite wedding vendor! My partner and I were total non-dancers and came to Convergence wanting to build some basic dance skills and get more confident moving. Our instructor, Robert, was an incredible teacher and very kind. Robert helped us co-create choreography for our first dance that felt natural, fun and totally reflected our personalities. In addition, Robert taught us some combinations that we were able to use to dance to all of the other music on our playlist. Our weekly lessons became our date night and we really enjoyed practicing in our living room between lessons. Robert, Hannah and Roxanne each seem personally invested in our wedding and cheered us on as our dancing began to improve. Our flowers will wilt and my dress will be stored in the back of my closet, but dance skills are something we can carry with us through life! We are so grateful to Robert and the Convergence team for going above and beyond for us! And, we've already signed up for group salsa lessons when we get back from our honeymoon!

Garth was absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding dance!! My now-husband is many amazing things, but dancer/performer has not historically been one of them…until we met Garth! He taught us how to waltz, and he made sure we had a blast learning something that was just the right amount of challenging. He was our greatest cheerleader through the good, the bad, and the ugly, and it was obvious that he really wanted to help us learn. Our wedding guests were stunned at how good we were, and we got a ton of compliments. Don’t even look at other dance studios, Convergence is the place to book!! Getting dance lessons for our First Dance was the best decision my husband made while wedding planning! I cannot recommend Hanna P enough! My husband and I had zero dance experience prior to signing up for classes but our first dance was stunning! Also we only had 5 dance lessons and they were super fun! Hanna is so sweet and she choreographed the best dance routine for us! She was so patient, easy going, kind, and encouraging; she made us feel so comfortable! While in the stressful times of wedding planning I looked forward to going to our dance lessons, because it gave us a break and we were able to relax and just have fun together!

We used Convergence Dance to choreograph our first dance. Our experience was beyond what we could have expected! Robert was incredible!!! Even without any dance experience, Robert was able to meet us at our skill level, and get us to where we wanted to be by the end of our lessons. Our wedding guests were so impressed. When my husband and I got engaged, we knew exactly where we wanted to go for dance lessons for our wedding: Convergence! Roxanne worked incredibly diligently with us on our dance, along with help from other staff like Robert and Hanna. Everyone brought enthusiasm as well as ingenuity to our salsa and tango mashup! They also worked at a pace that was perfect my my husband and me. Roxanne went above and beyond, not only in our private lessons but at our actual reception, as she helped the DJ with our music transition. We received so many compliments from our guests about how fun and memorable the dance was, and we never could have pulled it off with everyone at Convergence Dance and Body Center! My husband, Blake, and I cannot say enough good things about Robert! He created a routine that worked so well with our song and reception layout. We killed the first dance on our wedding day thanks to him!! Robert is kind, understanding, and makes corrections in a gentle way. He is also hilarious and made lessons a blast! We can't wait to come back for (more) fun and learn some swing :-).

Taking dance lessons for our first dance was one of the best decisions we had! We worked with Hannah and she was a dream come true. There’s wasn’t much during our wedding planning process that was truly enjoyable, but going to our dance lessons each week was always so fun. We looked forward to it each week and practicing in between was fun, too. I think it helped keep us grounded and focused on what was really important (each other) as our wedding day grew closer and the stress got crazy. This is something I would recommend to all couples no matter what your dance level is. It was such a blast!

Let me start by saying that my husband and I are not ones that dance, but we really enjoyed our lessons at Convergence Dance. We loved working with Robert. He was easygoing, easy to work with, and had a nice sense of humor. He was able to adapt the lessons to fit our skill level (no experience). He was flexible in adjusting or making modifications for our comfort level when needed. Robert did a great job of being honest when critiquing, while never being too critical. During our first session, Robert took the time to ask questions we had not thought about in order to help determine what type of dancing to cover (such as dance floor size, what shoes we were wearing, and where the guests would be located). We learned a lot of fundamentals that were easy to pick up and looked great in the final dance. We learned how to adapt when dancing (which helped when we got nervous on the day of). If you are scared of dancing or on the fence about taking lessons, we absolutely recommend reaching out to Robert at Convergence Dance.

The best ever! Roxanne is the consummate professional who is also fun to work with! She communicates well, and integrated our personalities into our dance. The dance studio also did a great job with Covid-19 precautions; we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We will definitely be returning for more lessons!!

I took classes for our Father/Daughter dance for my wedding and am so glad we did! Hanna was amazing and patient and so great. Worth every penny!!

We worked with Hanna for our untraditional first dance at our wedding. Her teaching style is fantastic and she was able to accommodate my husband after an injury despite having almost completed our lessons!

My husband and I wanted to get dance lessons for our wedding, but COVID hit and everything shut down. When St. Louis opened back up we had only a month until our wedding. Hanna choreographed a phenomenal and easy dance for us! She was great at instructing us and giving us constructive criticism, and we had a lot of fun learning. We absolutely recommend this studio, and Hanna!

My fiancé and I have had the most wonderful time learning and working on our first dance with Michael. He has such great energy and teaches at your pace (we went in with absolutely 0 skill and 0 knowledge). He is a pro at making sure that you feel comfortable while simultaneously pushing you to make sure that your first dance will be flawless! We absolutely adore him and hope to continue lessons after our wedding because we enjoy seeing and learning from him so much every week. We love you Michael!!!

I’m so glad we did first dance lessons! I had done very basic ballroom classes many years ago and really wanted us to do something other than swaying to music. My fiancé was a little nervous about the idea but agreed to do the discounted intro lesson. After our first class with Robert, my fiancé and I were both sold! The way that Convergence approaches lessons for first dances is so fun and non-threatening. Robert choreographed an intro and and ending for our dance, and then taught us movements that we could mix and match to improvise the middle. We wound up doing 7 lessons total which were fun date nights that taught us new ways to connect with each other. During our reception we were so excited to show off our dance! Our DJ had a minor snafu in the middle of the song, but we were able to pick it up and keep going. Afterwards, when I was a bit annoyed that we hadn’t hit our ending perfectly because of the music switch up, my fiancé’s first response was that Robert would have been so proud of us for getting back with the music, making it fun, and enjoying it. Tl;dr: We are so happy we took lessons and plan on going back for group lessons soon!

My husband and I participated in dance lessons for our wedding with the Convergence instructor, Hannah Pierce. We took ten lessons with Hannah and we had the best time learning from her wonderful expertise. She choreographed an amazing dance for our first song and she was extremely patient, kind and fun throughout the entire process! Our dance was a huge hit at the wedding and we received great feedback from our guests! My dad and I also took two dance lessons with Hannah and again she was incredibly helpful and encouraging! We are so thrilled that we decided to take dance lessons and we are very grateful for Hannah!
